There's a headline ya don't see every day.
Saying he was angry because a Commerce Township lingerie store refused to hire him, an admitted cross-dresser drove his vehicle into the building -- causing $3,000 in damage and resulting in felony charges. Few things are sadder then unfulfilled dreams...
Jeremy Paul McIntosh, 27, will be back in court in the coming days on charges of commission of a felony with a motor vehicle, malicious destruction of property over $1,000 and reckless driving after being arraigned Monday. If convicted, McIntosh -- who was wearing makeup, blue Capri pants, red flip flops, a flowery blouse and a matching bra -- could face prison time. I'll bet he felt...pretty.
Officials with the Oakland County SheriffÂ’s Office say McIntosh went to Intimate Ideas on the 2600 block of Union Lake Road at about 8:50 p.m. Saturday. He came into the store and told a 20-year-old woman working there than he was going to ram his Geo Tracker into the building because he was angry that he wasnÂ’t hired there when he applied in January. A Geo Tracker? Do you plan on being here all afternoon?
He left the store and then rammed the vehicle into the building about seven times, causing merchandise to fall off the shelves. I'm surprised the Tracker lasted for seven shots at the wall.
When a witness walked up to McIntoshÂ’s vehicle after he hit the building, McIntosh said his vehicle was totaled and that the building was really tough. Maybe they didn't hire you not because you weren't pretty but that you aren't too friggin bright?
He also told deputies he was homeless and wanted to go to jail because he has nowhere else to go and was sick of freezing in his car at night. Mugshot at the link. He'll be Queen of the Cellblock soon.
“My father beat me and told me that I must marry this man, and if I did not, I would be raped and no law and no sheikh in this country would help me. I refused but I couldn’t stop the marriage,” Nojoud Nasser told the Yemen Times. “I asked and begged my mother, father, and aunt to help me to get divorced. They answered, ‘We can do nothing. If you want you can go to court by yourself.’ So this is what I have done,” she said.
Nasser said that she was exposed to sexual abuse and domestic violence by her husband. “He used to do bad things to me, and I had no idea as to what a marriage is. I would run from one room to another in order to escape, but in the end he would catch me and beat me and then continued to do what he wanted. I cried so much but no one listened to me. One day I ran away from him and came to the court and talked to them.”
“Whenever I wanted to play in the yard he beat me and asked me to go to the bedroom with him. This lasted for two months," added Nasser. "He was too tough with me, and whenever I asked him for mercy, he beat me and slapped me and then used me. I just want to have a respectful life and divorce him.”
Nasser confirmed that Nojoud NasserÂ’s case is not the first of its kind in Yemen, but it is the first time that a girl went to court by herself to ask for a divorce.
“We are not planning to return Nojoud to her family. Who knows? Maybe after a few years the same thing will happen to her again," said Shatha Ali Nasser. "We are planning to put her in Dar Al-Rahama [an non-governmental organization that works with children], where she can have a better life and education. We do not want her family to pay her expenses, as they are poor.”

I'd say these contemptible bastards are animals but the reality is that even animals don't do crap like that. The Muzz culture needs to be destroyed root and branch, and the intellectual/religious ground afterward sown with salt. We need to see the U.S. and the rest of the world looking at Islamism the way it now regards Nazism, i.e., as completely beyond the pale.

This should be included in the next Fitna video.
A federal jury convicted a woman Tuesday of running a prostitution service that catered to members of Washington's political elite.
Deborah Jeane Palfrey, 52, sighed as the verdict was read. She had repeatedly denied the escort service engaged in prostitution, saying that if any of the women engaged in sex acts for money, they did so without her knowledge.
Palfrey caused a sensation last year when she announced that to raise money for her defense, she intended to sell her phone records to any news outlet willing to pay. Palfrey said her defunct business, Pamela Martin & Associates, was "a legal, high-end erotic fantasy service" that serviced elite clients.

At least she gave a decent fitrep to the LCDR she had working for her.
Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf may be facing the heat from all corners but not from one Pakistani beauty pageants winner who says he is a "hunk".
Reigning Miss Pakistan World Mahleej Sarkari found time last week to write a post on Musharraf on the pageant's website.
"A little note to the people of Pakistan. Going to international pageants we have found out how much Musharraf is known to all beautiful young girls, the beauty queens. Some have replied, 'Oh yes, the general man (sic)'. While others have said 'the man who rules Pakistan'," wrote Sarkari.
"Everything positive... I think personally Musharraf Sahab is very good-looking. Some Pakistani politicians may not agree with these gorgeous women. You know like Benazir, all men around the world thought she was a beauty, similarly Musharraf is a hunk. He has enough charisma to have young girls going nuts," goes the beauty queen's post.
Sarkari said she would love to date Musharraf if he asked her out. "Yes, any time...I like him a lot...," she told a news portal.
Sarkari also said she thought "Mrs Musharraf would nod her head in agreement that her husband is an icon no matter what happens".
Sonia Ahmed, founder of the Miss Pakistan World pageant, too is a huge Musharraf fan. On the pageant's website, there are several shots of beauty queens holding up Musharraf's picture, blowing kisses and saying, "We love you Mushy".
"Well, I am a huge fan of President Musharraf and so are my Miss and Mrs Pakistans and I don't know why but we all look up to him as a man who gave freedom to the entertainment industry and media.
"There is no PPP or Nawaz that gave that freedom, however they are all claiming that they are 'oh so moderate!'" Ahmed said in a statement.
"Let me tell you future Miss Pakistans as well as Mrs Pakistans how we ended up getting the poster of Musharraf Sahab. We searched the internet and finally found this high resolution picture of him. And so we told our printer to make a big poster out of it," Ahmed said.
Incidentally, in the picture Musharraf is clad in his army uniform which he doffed last year.
Pakistanis have been winning quite a few pageants internationally. A Pakistani girl was declared runner-up for the Miss Disco Queen contest earlier this month.
Sarkari represented Pakistan in the Miss Tourism Queen International contest earlier this month in China.
While most contestants taking part in such pageants are non-resident Pakistanis, a few residents are flying out of the country to make a mark at these events.
Sarkari, a Baloch, was raised in Karachi and has been in Toronto for the past six years. She had gone to Canada to study but stayed on and now runs a spa business there.
"We are showing people that young women from Pakistan deserve a voice and can do great things when given the chance. On an international level, we have far surpassed our goals bringing home six international titles within the past five years," Ahmed said.
When reminded that Musharraf was not exactly popular in her home province of Balochistan, she said, "I don't care...that's politics."

Compare wid TOPIX > MEET VLADIMIR PUTIN'S FUTURE NEW WIFE: RUSSIA'S MOST FLASHED CROTCH. Future #2 and Gymnast ALINA.
Aircraft or submarines covered with an undulating skin able to change at a flick of a button would experience 50% less drag than conventional vehicles. This trick, which naturally occurs in dolphins, is now being tested by human engineers. Clever dolphins.
Turbulence is the bane of engineers' lives. Chaotic air flow sets up unstable vortices and patterns in gases and liquids, increasing friction and drag.
Giving craft skin than can tweak its surface to impose order on these currents could dramatically cut the effect of drag, says Dimitris Lagoudas at Texas A&M University, US. Calming the chaotic waves makes them interact less with the skin. "The particles in the fluid stop "speaking" to the craftÂ’s surface," he says.
Lagoudas and colleagues have worked out that wrinkling the surface of a craft in the right way can cut problems. The surface must assume the shape of the ideal ordered surface wave it is trying to create, something that changes at different velocities.
It might seem counterintuitive to reduce drag by wrinkling the surface of a craft, but nature provides a precedent. "Dolphins induce their skin to wrinkle, so water wonÂ’t stick to them," says Lagoudas.
After calculating that this approach would work, his team tested designs for an "active skin" that shifts to the shape of an ideal surface wave.
One design uses "legs" just beneath the skin that lengthen under the influence of an electric field, bending the skin upwards. By controlling the field around each piezoceramic leg, LagoudasÂ’ team can deform the skin into corrugations of right wavelength and amplitude to cut down drag.
The corrugations can be at most 30 micrometres high. "We measured flow velocities very close to the skin and derived the skin friction drag – we have seen reductions as much as 50%," says researcher Othon Rediniotis.
Lagoudas says the shape-shifting skin approach would work best as cladding for submarines. "It would be feasible to use this on aircraft but more challenging," he explains. "The velocities are higher and so the travelling waves must be higher in frequency."
"ItÂ’s a novel technique that has been demonstrated to work under lab conditions," says Jonathan Morrison at Imperial College London, UK. "But implementing this in something the size of an aircraft would be pretty daunting."
The complexity of the morphing skin might deter designers worried about the consequences were it to fail during flight or an underwater mission, says Morrison.
But Morrison he adds that the skin does not have to be so complex to be useful - corrugated skin with a fixed shape could also cut drag. "You could design it to be most effective while cruising," he says, for example the speed an aircraft maintains for most of its flight.
Static skin like that would also have to be designed not to work under some conditions, he adds. "When youÂ’re coming to land you actually want the drag."

Congratulations to Professor Lagoudas and Texas A&M. He has taken a major step forward in an area engineers have been trying to improve for decades.

I read a paper on this years ago, the wrinkles hold pockets of air. Air on air friction is much less than air on skin friction. I don't know if it would be quiet at all though.

It's a shame. It might have taken up to an hour for Animal Control to get there and the police officers really couldn't take the chance that they could corner and hold it.

Too bad. Beautiful animal.

A friend lives in that neighborhood - she said:
"Yes, it was apparently shot half a block away! We weren't at home yet. Man, that is freaky! What do I have to, lock up my balconies because a cougar might get into the house? Weird!!!"

What a bunch of wusses. We have cougars come into town several times a year. They eat a dog or two, then wander back up into the mountains. If one decides to stay around for awhile, they're tranked and taken to one of the state's national parks, forests, or other reserves.
The deer have learned to live with traffic, the cougars haven't. Can be messy!

Where are you OP?
On its way into Chicago's northside, this cat wandered through my neighborhood - several spottings, as well as in a few towns up the tracks. I have been surprised a few times to see coyotes running up and down the tracks just before and after the commuter trains run by - basically a 60 mile long park, 100 feet wide from Wisconsin into the loop - they think this cat came through that way.

(Xinhuanet) -- A government official on Thursday said police should shoot to kill when confronting armed criminals in South Africa, a country notorious for its high rates of murder and rape.
Deputy Safety and Security Minister Susan Shabangu said in remarks broadcast on television and radio Wednesday that police should "kill the bastards" if threatened. "I want no warning shots. You have one shot, and it must be a kill shot," she told a public meeting.
There is growing anger in South Africa about rampant crime. More than 50 people are murdered each day, and violent robbery and carjackings are common, as are kidnappings and attacks on children.
South Africa also has the highest reported rate of rape in the world. Based on reported cases alone, South Africa has 114 rapes per 100,000 people, compared with a rate of 32 rapes per 100,000 in the United States, according to police figures.
Shabangu also was quoted by Independent newspapers as telling the meeting the public should not accept lame excuses for police inactivity. "If criminals dare to threaten the police or the livelihoods of innocent men, women and children, they must be killed. End of story," she said. "The constitution says that criminals must be kept safe. But I say no, no, no."

The leading candidates for the powerful post of London mayor clashed at a Reuters Newsmaker event on Tuesday over their competence to run the capital's 11 billion pound ($22 bln) budget.
Ken Livingstone, a one-time socialist firebrand seeking a third four-year term as mayor, belittled his Conservative rival Boris Johnson -- a former journalist -- for a lack of administrative experience.
The winner of the May 1 election will be responsible for preparations for the 2012 London Olympics as well as overseeing policing, housing and the city's sprawling transport network.
Livingstone, sniping at his Eton-educated rival, said Johnson's hardest decision while editing the right-leaning Spectator magazine had been where to have lunch. "You know what you are going to get with me," said Livingstone. "We will carry on with the programs we have set out. There is clearly a bigger risk with somebody who hasn't been tried and tested."
Johnson, 43, a backbench MP who says he is the only candidate with private sector business experience, in turn derided Livingstone's record in office since 2000. "I find it unbelievable that he is fighting this election on competence and ability to run London when he has presided over staggering waste and mismanagement," he said.

(AKI) - Seven ancient synagogues in the Iranian capital, Tehran, have been destroyed by local authorities.
The synagogues were in the Oudlajan suburb of Tehran, where many Iranian Jews used to live. "These buildings, which were part of our cultural, artistic and architectural heritage were burnt to the ground," said Ahmad Mohit Tabatabaii, the director of the International Council of MuseumsÂ’ (ICOM) office in Tehran. "With the excuse of renovating this ancient quarter, they are erasing a part of our history," said Tabatabaii.
He called for the government to intervene to stop the work commissioned by the local authorities. A group of residents of Oudjalan have also sent a letter to the mayor of Tehran asking him to suspend the renovation work being carried out in the suburb.

islam: where ignorance is a compliment, and savagery is an attribute.
Teheran's police chief, who was in charge of fighting vice, has been taken to jail and his case is currently under investigation, a spokesman for Iran's judiciary said Tuesday.
Zarei was taken to jail after he was caught last month with six nude women by a police raid on an underground local brothel.
But the spokesman, Ali Reza Jamshidi, refused to elaborate further about the case which has caught wide public attention in Iran, saying it is now in the "legal stage."
Jamshidi said he was not authorized to provide more information. Local media have reported that the police chief, Gen. Reza Zarei, was taken to jail after he was caught last month with six nude women by a police raid on an underground local brothel. He was also forced to resign. Local Web sites have also extensively reported the case in recent weeks.

You fools! You've just destroyed years of painstaking undercover work!
A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
