[IsraelTimes] An unidentified woman stole the kippah of a rabbi whom she threatened with a knife on a street in the Austrian capital of Vienna, police said.
The woman expeditiously departed at a goodly pace of Thursday’s incident in Vienna’s 3rd district, the OE24 website reported. The assault happened after several minutes in which the woman shouted anti-Semitic slogans at the rabbi as multiple passersby looked away, he said.
The rabbi has declined to be named.
Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz condemned the incident in a statement. "I condemn today’s anti-Semitic attack on a rabbi in Vienna very strongly. We must fight anti-Semitism with all determination and do everything we can to make Jewish life safe here in Austria. Because Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... without Jews is no longer Europe", he wrote.
Some of your people don’t seem to agree with you, Herr Chancellor. The only question is whether the lady in question is a Muslim colonist or a native hater of the left or the right.
The Jewish Community in Vienna, the main organization representing Austrian Jews, had recorded during the first half of 2020 no fewer than 131 incidents of verbal abuse or harassment, 26 cases of anti-Semitic destruction of property and three physical assaults.
The incident occurred Thursday afternoon when the woman, described as about 50 years old and wearing a grey coat, suddenly approached the Rav and pulled the knife from her handbag.
She kicked the Rav in the leg, knocked his hat from his head, then tore off his kippah and yelled an anti-Semitic insult before fleeing, police said.
[AnNahar] Four teenage students have been charged in La Belle France over the killing of Samuel Paty, including three for allegedly pointing out the teacher to his murderer, a judical source said Thursday.
Three other pupils were charged with complicity earlier this month over the beheading last month of Paty, who had shown his students cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed as part of a lesson on free speech.
Paty's murder sparked a torrent of outrage that prompted President Emmanuel Macron to crack down on Islamist extremism and violence in a country reeling from a wave of jihadist attacks since 2015 that have killed more than 250 people.
Three of the four students charged Thursday were suspected of identifying Paty to his killer, 18-year-old Abdullakh Anzorov,
...the vicious petty criminal from Chechnya whose refugee status was renewed by France this year for another decade instead of being revoked, and now it is too late. He sent video of the beheading to a Russian-speaking jihadi in Idlib...
who then tracked him down and beheaded him in a street near his school.
Anzorov, who was killed by police at the scene of the beheading, paid the students a few hundred euros for their help.
The three, who are between 13 and 14 years old, are being charged with "complicity in a terrorist murder," the source said.
The fourth is the daughter of Brahim Chnina,
...who may or may not have a half sister who emigrated to ISIS in Syria in 2014, but definitely has connected friends...
who launched a virulent online campaign against Paty denouncing the teacher's use of the cartoons published by satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo ...A lefty French satirical magazine, home of what may well be the majority if the active testicles left in Europe... Chnina himself -- as well as Islamist murderous Moslem Abdelhakim Sefrioui, who ran the campaign together with him -- have already been charged with complicity.
His daughter is accused of "slanderous denunciation" of Paty after relating her version of events in the classroom, though she did not actually attend his civics lesson.
Father and daughter reported Paty to police for "discrimination" just over a week before the murder, alleging that he had singled out Moslem students by asking them to leave the room before showing the cartoons.
Other witnesses have reported that Paty only said students were free to leave the room if they did not want to see the cartoons, one of which showed the prophet without any clothes.
All four teenagers were briefly detained earlier this week at the request of anti-terror Sherlocks, the source said, and freed under judicial supervision.
The charges take the total number of people investigated over the murder to 14.
[AnNahar] An Iranian diplomat goes on trial in Belgium on Friday accused of plotting to bomb an opposition rally outside Gay Paree, in a case that has stoked tensions with Tehran.
The case shines another uncomfortable light on Iran's international activities just as it hopes to ease tensions with the United States after President Donald Trump ...the Nailer of NAFTA... tore up the 2015 nuclear deal signed by both countries and other world powers.
It also comes a day after a prisoner swap that saw the release of three Iranians tossed in the calaboose Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! over a 2012 bomb plot in Thailand, in exchange for the freeing of an Australian-British lecturer imprisoned by Tehran for alleged spying.
The Australian is Kylie Moore-Gilbert. The three Iranians generously given in trade by Thailand are Saeid Moradi (“Stumpy”), Mohammad Kharzei, and Masoud Sedaghatzadeh.
In June 2018, Belgian authorities thwarted what they said was an attempt to smuggle explosives to La Belle France to attack a meeting of one of Iran's exiled opposition movements.
Later that year, the French government accused Iran's intelligence service of being behind the operation, a charge the Islamic republic has furiously denied.
Assadollah Assadi, a 48-year-old Iranian diplomat formerly based in Vienna, faces life in prison if convicted.

(NCRI), which includes the People's Mojahedin of Iran or (MEK), organised a rally in Villepinte outside Gay Paree on June 30, 2018.
Several well-known international figures -- including former US and British officials and Franco-Colombian former senator Ingrid Betancourt -- and NCRI leader Maryam Rajavi were to attend.
On the same morning, Belgian police intercepted a Belgian-Iranian couple driving from Antwerp and carrying half-a-kilo of TATP explosives and a detonator.
The arrested couple, 36-year-old Nassimeh Naami and 40-year-old Amir Saadouni, join Assadi in the dock, alongside another alleged accomplice, Mehrdad Arefani, 57.
All four are charged with attempting to carry out a terrorist attack and taking part in the activity of a terrorist group. All face life sentences.
Assadi was arrested while he was travelling through Germany where he had no immunity from prosecution, being outside of the country of his diplomatic posting.
Arefani, an Iranian poet who had lived in Belgium for more than a decade, was arrested in La Belle France in 2018 after Belgium issued a European arrest warrant.
- 'ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS' -
Counsel representing those targeted by the alleged attack say Arefani was close to Assadi, said to be the architect of the plot, and point to an Austrian SIM card found in his possession.
The two men deny any connection.
"We are looking at a clear case of state terrorism ... any action taken by a non-Moslem state that constrains the violent impulses of Moslems or their allies ... ," said lawyer Georges-Henri Beauthier, who is representing the interests of the NCRI, along with French colleague William Bourdon.
Dimitri de Beco, defence counsel for Assadi, has accused the civil plaintiffs of trying to turn the case into a political trial on behalf of the opposition movement.
According to Iran expert Francois Nicoullaud -- a former French ambassador to Tehran -- Iran's President Hassan Rouhani ...Iran's moderate president, which he is, relative to his predecessor, which doesn't mean he's anything but a puppet of the nearest holy man... was surprised to learn about the failed attack.
"Visiting Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... at the time, he was absolutely furious to learn about this intelligence service operation, on which he hadn't been consulted," the diplomat told AFP.
At the time of the alleged plot, Rouhani was trying to maintain the support of European capitals for the 2015 Iran nuclear deal abandoned by the Trump administration.
When Gay Paree pointed the finger at Iranian intelligence, an Iranian front man voiced denial and alleged that opponents of the deal in "certain quarters" were attempting to frame Tehran.
That idea was dismissed by observers like Nicoullaud as a smokescreen. "It's not serious," he said.
The trial is scheduled to take two days, Friday and then Thursday next week. The court is then expected to adjourn to consider its verdict before ruling early next year.

[IsraelTimes] A Ottoman Turkish court sentences hundreds of military and civilian personnel at an air base to life prison sentences, proclaiming them guilty of involvement in the 2016 failed coup attempt against President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important... ’s government.
A total of 475 defendants, including some generals and fighter jet pilots at the Akinci air base, on the outskirts of the capital, Ankara, had been on trial for the past three years, accused of directing the coup and bombing key government buildings, including a section of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... ’s parliament.
The massive trial was one of two main trials against suspected members of a network led by US-based holy manFethullah Gülen ... a Turkish preacher living in Pennsylvania whom the current govt of Turkey considers responsible for all the ills afflicting Turkey and possibly the entire world. Gülen and Erdogan used to be really good friends, but only one of them could be sultan, and Gülen lost... , whom Ankara accuses of orchestrating the failed attempt ...Curses! Foiled again!... Gulen, who was also named among the defendants, has denied involvement in the coup that resulted in around 250 deaths and injured thousands. About 30 coup-plotters were also killed.
The court convicts four men — civilians accused of liaising between Gulen’s movement and some military officers — of crimes against the state, attempts to kill the president as well as 77 counts of murder, and sentences them to 79 separate "aggravated" life sentences without the possibility of parole. Fifteen officers, including one-star generals, are also sentenced to the same term.
All 19 are held responsible for the deaths of nine people who were killed by gunshots and 68 people who died in aerial attacks on the parliament building, a police special operations headquarters, the Ankara police department and an area close to Erdogan’s presidential complex.
A total of 337 other defendants are also sentenced to life prison terms. The court acquits 70 of the defendants of all charges. Other defendants received prison terms ranging between six and 16 years.
The court rules that Gulen, an alleged top operative in his movement and four other defendants still wanted by the Ottoman Turkish authorities, should be tried separately over the charges.
The defendants are expected to appeal Thursday’s verdicts, which were welcomed by members of Erdogan’s ruling party.

According to what security sources reported to the state-owned Anadolu Agency, arrest warrants were issued by the General Prosecutor’s Office in Istanbul, against 44 former and current military personnel in 14 different states.
Immediately after the issuance of the arrest warrants, the anti-terror teams of the General Security Directorate in Istanbul began a simultaneous process to arrest the wanted persons, and had already managed to arrest a number of them and the rest were being apprehended.
These arrests come within the framework of investigations conducted by the Ottoman Turkish judicial authorities regarding the Gulen organization within the army.

[NJ.com] Federal authorities arrested a Sussex County woman at her home Wednesday on charges she sent money to a foreign terrorist organization in Syria, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced.
Maria Bell, also known as "Maria Sue Bell," 53, of Hopatcong, was charged with one count of knowingly concealing the provision of material support or resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization after authorities discovered she allegedly sent money to a member of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... (HTS), a Syrian terrorist organization fighting the Assad regime. Bell also provided advice on weapons and ammunition, according to the criminal complaint.
Authorities said Bell previously served in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard, and used her expertise in specialized weapons training, "to provide guidance concerning operational security issues, firearms purchases, and military knowledge."
Bell began communicating with one member of HTS, who is not identified in the complaint, in February 2017 and sent thousands of encrypted communications to the person, according to the complaint.
"Are you ready to fight in front line with other fighters?" Bell allegedly asked the person. "You are no longer young child like you used to be. It will be frightening. But I am with you."
Bell allegedly wired at least 18 payments totaling $3,150 to individuals in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor... and Syria who are supporters of HTS, "knowing that the funds would support acts of terrorism by HTS," authorities said.
In May 2018, HTS was added to the State Department’s database as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
The charge of concealment of terrorist financing to a designated foreign terrorist organization carries a maximum penalty of 10 years.
During her first appearance in federal court Wednesday, Bell was described by assistant U.S. Attorney Dean Sovolos as a danger to the community and a flight risk. He said when FBI agents arrested Bell on Wednesday, they recovered 136 operable handguns and rifles, 15 canisters of ammunition and a short-range rocket launcher inside her two-bedroom home.
Rahul Sharma, Bell’s attorney, said many of the recovered firearms were antiques and she received them upon the death of her husband, who worked at an armory.
The buried lede: Another Lonely Widderwoman Falls For A Smooth Talking Con Man — and all her military training did not protect her.
Sovolos said Bell has previously expressed a desire to leave the United States as another reason why she should be detained. He said she was stopped by authorities at a New York City airport as she attempted to fly to Turkey in 2018.
"She has shown a committed, sustained, sophisticated and comprehensive way of supporting a terrorist organization," Sovolos said.
Sharma argued the allegations made by prosecutors in the complaint occurred in 2017 and 2018 and no evidence has been presented of Bell’s alleged activities over the past two years. He said if the 53-year-old was a grave threat to the community, she would have been arrested earlier.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Cathy L. Waldor ordered Bell to be detained Wednesday. The judge said she was willing to reconsider the ruling once more information becomes available.
Bell did not address the allegations during the videoconference hearing.
She has been suspended from her job as an analyst with Atlantic Health Systems after the charges were announced Wednesday, a company front man told NJ Advance Media.

[ALMASDARNEWS] In the last 72 hours, the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces have begun withdrawing their troops from two important areas in northwestern Syria.According to a new report from the Aleppo Governorate, the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces have begun withdrawing their troops and equipment from the Saraqib area, putting an end to their presence that was meant to stop the Syrian Arab Army’s advance in the Idlib Governorate.
The report said the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces brought in several transport trucks to withdraw not only their soldiers, but also their heavy equipment that has been there for several months.
Like their withdrawal from the other observation posts besieged by the Syrian Arab Army, the Ottoman Turkish troops will likely take a few days to clear the site before the last of their forces leave Saraqib.
With the withdrawal of the Ottoman Turkish forces from the Saraqib observation post, the Syrian government will now have full access to the area, including the surrounding sites near the strategic M-5 Highway.
Prior to this withdrawal, the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces began moving their troops out of their observation post in the Rashideen 5 area.
Like Saraqib, the Rashideen 5 observation post is completely besieged by the Syrian Arab Army and has been for several months.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Iranian state TV reported that a member of the liquidation group that killed Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was arrested in Tehran on Friday. No further details were released about the assailant.
Earlier today, the Iranian Ministry of Defense said that a Nissan car carrying kabooms went kaboom! in front of the nuclear scientist’s car.
Following the earth-shattering kaboom, a group of gunnies opened fire on the nuclear scientist’s vehicle, inflicting fatal wounds on the latter.
The Iranian Fars News Agency said that the escorts of the nuclear scientist clashed with the liquidation team and the operation led to the killing of at least two assailants.
The Pentagon and Israel have declined to comment on the liquidation, and an official from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said, "The office does not comment on reports of the attack."
