[11Alive] Beaumont Police and the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office worked together for a two-day joint operation targeting what officials called "sex buyers."
The 21 men arrested were soliciting sexual relations from both minors and adults, Beaumont Police said. Investigations are still ongoing, but additional charges are expected.
"Human trafficking is modern day slavery — the exploitation of men, women and children for forced labor or sex by a third party for profit or gain," Riley said in a statement. "A person doesn’t have to be transported across borders for trafficking to take place — it can occur anywhere."
The list of arrested Johns at the link includes American names, Hispanic names, and names from the Indian subcontinent, both Hindu and Moslem. So at least the customers are ecumenical. No prostitutes were named, so perhaps they were ecumenical, too.

[ToloNews] At least three civilians were maimed in a magnetic mine blast on Monday morning in Kabul city, Kabul police confirmed.
The incident happened around 7:35am local time in the Haji Nabi Township in PD6 of Kabul city when a magnetic mine detonated on a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado vehicle, the statement said.
The statement did not provide further details about the blast.

More than a dozen civilians, including women and kiddies, were killed in Egypt’s restive northern Sinai Peninsula over the past two weeks from bombs laid down in their homes by terrorists, security and medical officials said Sunday.

At least ten others have been maimed since October 12 and were taken to the town’s hospital for treatment, they said. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media.

A young man who "liked" a gruesome Twitter picture showing French teacher Samuel Paty after he was murdered has been charged with glorifying terrorism, French authorities said Sunday.
Paty was attacked and killed on the street for showing his students cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed in a class on free speech.
His killer, an 18-year-old Chechen refugee who had been living in La Belle France since he was a child, was rubbed out by police. Before his death, he posted a picture of the teacher’s severed head on Twitter.
The 22-year-old man charged on Sunday is also of Chechen origin, the public prosecutor in the central town of Blois, where he lives, said.
