[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] As Congress hurtles towards a government shutdown, Sen. Ted Cruz warned his Senate colleagues that voting to take up a House bill funding government but not Obamacare would actually enable Obamacare's funding.
Last week, the House passed legislation that would fund government but defund Obamacare. But Cruz is concerned that taking up the House bill and ending debate on it would allow Senate Democrats to pass an amendment reinserting Obamacare funding with a smaller, 50-vote threshold.

Fight to the very end, win, lose or draw. Make the Dem's own it forever !
[WASHINGTONTIMES] House Minority Leader Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi Congresswoman-for-Life from the the Socialist paradise of San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of politicians. Formerly Speaker of the House, but it's not her fault they lost. Really. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace... says Republican-led efforts to rein in government spending are pointless because there is nothing left to cut in the almost $4 trillion-a-year federal budget. "The cupboard is bare. There's no more cuts to make. It's really important that people understand that," Mrs. Pelosi, California Democrat, said in an interview broadcast Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union." Big Bird's still got a job. We've still got a Department of Education. B.O.'s still got two full-timers whose job is walking his dog. Do we need an FBI and a DEA?

What exactly DOES the Constitution SAY? About what the US Govt is precisely empowered to do?
Provide for the Military.
Build Roads.
What else?
Look into that, get a platoon to back you up and park the Tanks on the lawn. Cut Congress' pay and give them each about what the Lieutenant makes a year.
Get Alexander Haig and the men at the Pentagon to move into base housing at Fort Sill. They can take turns doing KP for one another. Send Nancy down to the Marine barracks and give her a broom. Offer to pinch her ( somewhere ) so she will wake up.

Zero out the conference travel budget at the IRS,EPA, DEA, DHS, and most other three letter agencies. I realize that will only save a few million, but it's a start.
Eliminate Congressional pensions and healthcare after they leave office.
See, Nancy, there are lots of places to save money.
