That’s merely ruching, Anomalous Sources, much less demanding to create than pleats. Pleats have to be precisely pinned, then ironed, and then sewn down, whereas ruching involves quickly sewing two straight seams, then pulling on one end of the thread to scrunch the fabric together more or less kinda evenly.
[ToloNews] The Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... is responsible for 62 blasts and an additional 6 suicide kabooms in the last 11 days, killing 63 civilians and wounding 180 more, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement on Sunday.
"Women and children are also among the victims," the statement said, adding that "Taliban fighters--including commanders--have also been killed in response" by security forces.
The Taliban has not yet commented on the MoI statement.
On April 14, a new UN report indicated that 573 non-combatants were killed and 1,210 more were maimed in the first three months of this year, a 29 percent increase compared with the same period in 2020.
The report says that "extraordinary levels of harm inflicted on civilians" in the Afghan conflict continues unabated.
Of particular concern is the 37 percent increase in the number of women killed and injured, and a 23 percent increase in child casualties compared with the first quarter of 2020, the report said.
In the six months between October 2020 and March 2021, UNAMA recorded a 38 percent increase in civilian casualties compared with the same period one year earlier, the report says, adding that it is worth noting that in February 2020, both Afghan government forces and the Taliban agreed to a week’s reduction in violence, which immediately and significantly reduced the scale of harm to Afghan civilians, demonstrating that political commitment can save Afghan lives.
The report says the overall increase in civilian casualties in the first quarter of 2021 was mainly driven by the same trends that caused the increase at the end of last year: ground engagements; improvised bombs; and assassinations.
"Anti-government elements continued to be responsible for the majority (61 percent) of all civilian casualties in the first three months of 2021, while pro-government forces continued to cause approximately one quarter (27 percent) of the total civilian casualties," the report said.
According to the report, in the first three months of 2021, UNAMA documented increases in the number of civilian casualties as compared to the first quarter of 2020, attributed to both the Afghan army and the Taliban, with the Taliban responsible for 43.5 percent of all civilian casualties, and the Afghan national army responsible for 17 percent.

[Breitbart] Drug cartels fighting a fierce turf war in western Mexico began weaponizing commercial drones by turning them into delivery systems for improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Breitbart Texas obtained exclusive photographs of the explosives devices and the methods used by cartel operators.
This week, Mexican authorities confirmed that two police officers in Michoacán were injured by an attack from cartel gunmen who used commercial drones to drop IEDs, Breitbart Texas reported. The attack came after state police officers removed a series of roadblocks aimed at keeping rival cartels from using armored SUVs to carry out attacks in their attempts to take control.
While various news outlets in Mexico claimed that Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG) instigated the attack, law enforcement sources in Michoacán revealed to Breitbart Texas that authorities believe an alliance known as Carteles Unidos were actually the ones behind the drone attacks.
Chris Covert reported on the formation of Carteles Unidos for Rantburg back in 2011. So they’ve been around for a while.
That criminal organization is made up of smaller regional cartels including Los Viagras, various self-defense groups, and remnants of La Familia Michoacana who are openly fighting off an invasion from CJNG. Carteles Unidos claims to have financial and manpower support from CJNG’s archrival — the Sinaloa Cartel. For several weeks, rival cartels carried out a series of fierce clashes where they used makeshift armored vehicles, explosives, and high-powered weapons. Mexico’s government is largely unable to do anything to address the raging violence that has been ongoing for weeks.
Breitbart Texas obtained a series of photographs showing members of Carteles Unidos making and testing a series of IEDs. The devices appear to be made out of pipes shaped like a mortar round. Those IEDs are then attached to commercial drones and then dropped from the air.
Information obtained exclusively by Breitbart Texas revealed that the operator behind the development of the weaponized drones claims to have had U.S. military training. However, Breitbart Texas was not able to confirm the claim.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Greek authorities said they have seized more than four tons of cannabis hidden in a shipment of industrial cupcake-making machines heading from Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... to Slovakia.
Greece’s financial crimes squad said in a statement late Thursday that the drugs were found in a shipping container in the country’s main port of Piraeus, following information received from the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
The container, whose registered contents were three industrial cupcake-making machines, arrived by sea in Piraeus on April 14 and had been scheduled to be transported by rail on April 20 to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, through North Macedonia, Serbia and Hungary, The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported.
Following the information from the DEA, Greek authorities raided the container on April 16. A total of more than 4.3 tons of processed cannabis were found in a hidden compartment built into a metal tank that was among the machinery, the financial crimes squad said.
The street value of the drugs is estimated at around 33 million euros.

Now if they shipped it with Brownies mix they would be all set.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Tunisian national who killed a police administrative worker last Friday near Gay Paree had watched videos glorifying extremism just before carrying out his attack, said La Belle France's anti-terrorism prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard.
Ricard told a news conference on Sunday that the official investigation had shown that the assailant, identified as "Jamel G",
...a little late for such circumspection, after he was identified yesterday as Jamel Gorchene from M'saken, Tunisia, the hometown of Mohammed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, who murdered 86 on Bastille Day in Nice in 2016 by driving a truck into the holiday crowd...
looked at the videos on his phone just before his knife attack on the police worker, a mother-of-two called Stephanie.
Stephanie died from stab wounds, while 37-year-old Jamel G was subsequently rubbed out by police after the attack at a cop shoppe in Rambouillet, a commuter suburb south of Gay Paree.
French President Emmanuel Macron said last Friday, in reaction to the killing in Rambouillet, that La Belle France had again been the victim of a terrorist attack.
Ricard said La Belle France was working with Tunisian authorities in its probe into the Rambouillet attack. The Tunisian Embassy in Gay Paree condemned the attack, in a statement issued this weekend.
French authorities detained a fifth person Sunday in the anti-terrorism investigation seeking to identify potential accomplices and motives. Ricard said police are questioning a cousin of the suspect.
Jamel G. entered La Belle France illegally in 2009 and was given residency papers at the end of 2019, he added.
The suspect’s father, a couple who had provided him with an address for mail and other administration, and another cousin were also being questioned, Ricard says.
[PJMEDIA] A Puyallup, Wash., church has canceled an event featuring conservative speaker Charlie Kirk after antifa activists threatened to burn down all of its buildings and torch the neighbors’ properties too.
Motion Church planned an event with Kirk, the head of Turning Point USA and a Christian speaker, on May 2.
The church, in a community south of Seattle, ministers to the homeless, lost, and addicted people in addition to hosting regular services and events at the church for families, and those seeking to know Christ more.
But hosting Charlie Kirk was just a bridge too far for the antifa terror group.
On Friday, Motion Church Pastor Roger Archer posted a video announcing that he was being forced to cancel the May 3 event because "the soft targets of churches, the elderly, women, children, and law-abiding citizens are vulnerable to anarchists who live free of the fear of reprisal. [T]he cops don’t have the manpower to protect the several properties used by the church."
It’s unclear how the terror threats were communicated to the church leadership, but Pastor Archer said the fact that the cops don’t have the manpower to help and the governor doesn’t have the political will to fight back means the church would have been left to the antifa arsonists and vandals of antifa and BLM.

Time to go private.
The Democrats have their own system of justice. It excludes normal whites. The only option left is to create our own Cobstitution-compliant LE and courts.

I'll bet even if they did gut a church and burnt every christian in it, the majority would not arise in violent indignation.
The problem may be, that everyone has got some safety valve now thanks to the media and tech. Also, concerns for family, livelihood, litigation, fear of violence have all neutralized the basic instinct of fighting back.
It's like the wasp knows it's in the web now, it is struggling, growing feebler by the minute. The predator has all but won. It spun its web for decades, used the lofty constitutions and 'principles of justice'; doctrines of self-righteousness designed to produce indecisive eunuchs to further his own ends. And now he has people right where he wants them, helpless and cowed, even those with their beloved 2A and hubris of past hoorahs.
It is only God, who resists the proud, that can turn things around now. He has done it before, may He do it again. I can only hope the enemy taking the fight to churches and christians brings down His wrath on their kind. Because 'When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight.' I have no hope in civilized men.

"Pray as if everything depends on God and act as if everything depends on you" -- variously formulated and attributed, possibly St. Ignatius.
I want to be careful not to think that the street protesters represent the enemy's center of gravity. The antifas, in particular, live such vapid little lives that it's tough to think of anything we could do to them that would make their lives worse (although it might be fun to try). Instead, if I had one metaphorical arrow to shoot, I would metaphorically shoot it at the MSM. As someone else has pointed out, the MSM in current-day America fills the role that the KGB did in Soviet Russia or the Stasi in East Germany.

[DENVER.CBSLOCAL] A group of protesters took over all lanes of traffic on some downtown streets Friday night in a march against police brutality.
CBS4 found the group walking northbound on Washington Street at Colfax Avenue. A banner warned of "Killer Cops" was carried by those at the front of the crowd.
The Denver Police Department made no arrests in relation to the march, a spokesperson, Jay Casillas, confirmed Saturday.
A man arrested at the State Capitol preceding the protest was not affiliated with the event, Trooper Ivan Alvarado of the Colorado State Patrol confirmed Saturday. Radio traffic overheard by CBS4 during the arrest speculated about that possibility. Alvarado, however, said that 27-year-old man was turned over to Denver PD on outstanding warrants and possession of burglary tools.
The State Capitol is under the jurisdiction of the state patrol.
A Facebook post by the Denver Action Network displayed flyers for two separate events beginning Friday night and invited attendees. The first was labeled a "Vigil For Lives Lost To Police Terrorism." The second flyer advertised a Black Lives Matter overnight sit-in at the Capitol, scheduled to end at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Denver Action Network supports "Building Autonomy & Spreading Anarchy!" according to the profile on its Facebook page. It also promoted a gathering last weekend at Cheesman Park. Homeowners and residents in the area awoke the following morning to Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... -related graffiti sprayed on their property.

Seattle, Denver, DC, Boulder, Portland, Columbus OH, Columbus GA, Brooklyn, Brooklyn Minnesota... gonna have to create a separate category for this Domestic War
Any cop reluctant to pull the trigger is to me a liability and a weak link in the spiked chain of Abaddon that law enforcement should be.
People want doughnut eating good samaritans helping Martha cross the road and plucking fruit for Louie the gardener, cheerily whistling Yanni songs. Instead give me Sean Connery from the Untouchables.

...if we were angels, we'd need no cops, or government. The reality is that we're not angels and there are enough barbarians out there that require some attention. Governments spent hundreds of years trying to monopolize that 'attention' and are now pi**ing it away to pander to a loud and sociopathic small group in the population.

Well when the State Militia's start dropping the bridges , cutting off the water and food deliveries to the City hell holes , it shouldn't take too long before the backhoes and bulldozers can go in bury the human debris.
[NYPOST] Dramatic footage by The Post shows a crowd of protesters snarling traffic and squaring off with cops just a block from City Hall on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday night.
Six cops were seen corralling one man with his hands behind his back at the Manhattan mouth of the bridge from around 10:30 p.m.
"He’s breaking my finger," the grimacing man claims.
"What am I being arrested for?," another can be heard asking, as swarms of officers disperse several dozen protesters coming off the bridge onto Centre Street.
Dozens of protesters had crossed the bridge by walking along its Manhattan-bound roadway, blocking cars.
About a half dozen protesters were given appearance tickets for obstruction of vehicular traffic, according to police. There were no injuries reported, police said.
Large teams of bike cops could be seen directing protesters off the bridge’s roadway into the city in additional footage shared on social media.

Dunno why (or whey!), but the phrase "the quick and the dead" just popped into my head.
[SHAFAQ] Some local websites in Diyala reported today, Sunday, that a number of families have fled from one of al-Abbara district villages, northeast of Baqubah, to escape retaliatory responses to al-Jizani attack.
Citizens confirmed to Shafaq News Agency that five to six families were displaced from the village of Kasiba, northeast of al-Abbara, after the village was bombed yesterday with several mortar shells, which the people interpreted as retaliatory responses following the al-Jizani attack, which left 11 victims and maimedcoppers and citizens.
MP of Diyala, Raad al-Dahlaki, denied to Shafaq News agency the displacement of families from Diyala.
For his part, the deputy commissioner of Baqubah, Abdullah al-Hayali, told Shafaq News agency, "I did not receive any information about the displacement of families."
However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... in an interview with Shafaq News agency, a government source accused political parties of creating crises, unrest, and sectarian displacement to settle early electoral scores in al-Waqf basin, which extends from al-Abbara to Abu Saida, 30 km northeast of Baqubah.
The source, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed that all the tribal and societal reconciliations that were held between the mixed-sectarian endowment villages did not succeed in achieving security stability or societal peace that would guarantee peaceful coexistence for all, after many villages were infiltrated by ISIS bully boyz and groups linked to political parties that control the security situation according to specific interests and agendas."
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Clashes between Paleostinians in Jerusalem and the Israeli police erupted after Jewish settlers marched in the city chanting slogans against Arabs.
The confrontations developed in the West Bank, as the Paleostinian factions launched 36 missiles from the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip towards the settlements.
Israel responded with a series of air and artillery raids, prompting Israeli Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi to cancel his scheduled trip to the US.
Kochavi held a special session to weigh "a series of steps for possible responses," to the rocket fire. He was to depart for Washington on Sunday in what would have been his first work trip to the US, according to a statement by the Israeli army.
After that, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu chaired a session to assess the situation and also directed his army to prepare for any development.
Informed sources told Asharq al-Awsat that Egypt, the UN, and other parties contacted the Paleostinian Authority, Israel, and the Paleostinian factions to avoid a possible escalation in the Strip and prevent this round of confrontation from turning into a war.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Lebanese troops aborted early Sunday an attempt to smuggle dozens of Syrian migrants colonists to the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, the military said.
The Lebanese army said in a statement that soldiers and members of the army intelligence thwarted the attempt in the northern district of Arida near the border with Syria.
It added that the smuggler who took money from the migrants colonists to take them to Cyprus has been arrested and is being questioned.
The attempt to smuggle 69 Syrian citizens comes as Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... is witnessing a severe economic and financial crisis that has thrown more people into poverty.
The Mediterranean island and Lebanon have an agreement to curb the arrival of boats loaded with migrants colonists from reaching Cyprus.
Last year, numerous boatloads of migrants colonists sailed to Cyprus — approximately 172 kilometers from Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... , Lebanon — alarming Cypriot authorities that say the island can’t handle any more migrants colonists seeking asylum for economic reasons.
Cyprus came under fire by Human Rights Watch last year for allegedly pushing back 200 migrants colonists and refugees arriving from Lebanon aboard boats without heeding their claims for asylum while in some instances using violence and coercive tactics.
