Two Iraqi soldiers wounded as bomb blast rocks Iraq’s Diyala
8 September
Diyala (IraqiNews.com) – Two Iraqi servicemen were wounded Sunday in a bomb explosion in Jalawla, north of Diyala province, a security source said.

“An explosive charge targeted an army force in al-Islah village in Jalawla district, leaving two soldiers wounded,” the source told the privately-owned Almaalomah news website.

“Security forces cordoned off the blast scene, and the wounded were moved to hospital,” added the source.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Islamic State (IS) militant group, in most cases, is responsible for attacks targeting crowded areas, including markets, cafes and mosques across Iraq.
