[ToloNews] Abdullah Abdullah ...the former foreign minister of the Northern Alliance government, advisor to Masood, and candidate for president against both Karzai and Ghani. Dr. Abdullah was born in Kabul and is half Tadjik and half Pashtun. He also held the meaningless salaried sop position as CEO of Afghanistan, while Ghani was president... , head of the High Council for National Reconciliation, joined by politicians and peace negotiators left Kabul on Wednesday to Russia for Moscow conference on Afghan peace, his office confirmed.
"We acknowledge the pivotal role of Afghanistan’s neighbors, and Russia in establishing a lasting peace in the country," Abdullah's office said. "We strongly believe that Moscow conference will boost the Doha peace talks, and the upcoming The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... conference on Afghanistan."
On Tuesday, Abdullah's office said that a 12-member delegation of the Afghan government led by Abdullah will attend the Moscow conference.
The one-day conference will be held on Thursday and the Taliban ...Arabic for students... representatives will also join the conference.
In the meantime, the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Tuesday said it appreciates efforts made by Afghanistan’s neighboring countries and regional and international partners for peace and emphasizes the importance of continuing these efforts and cooperation.
"Appreciating the importance of the Troika meeting on Afghanistan peace in Moscow and the proposed peace conference in Turkey, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers them complementary to the Afghanistan Peace Negotiations in Doha and not as a substitute to it," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry said the delegation of the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Afghanistan is currently engaged in negotiation with the Taliban delegation in Doha and these negotiations will continue in the future.
US Department of State has confirmed that the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad, will participate in the upcoming Moscow conference that is scheduled for the end of this week.
Officials from the Jamaat-e-Islami ...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... party said that no representatives from the party have been invited to the Moscow conference that is to begin on Thursday.
There are unconfirmed reports that a meeting will be held between Abdullah Abdullah, the head of the High Council of National Reconciliation, and Taliban deputy leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar in Moscow.
Related: Khaama Press has all sorts of details about the conference agenda and participants here, though this conference will be as pointless as all those that preceded and will follow it — the only way to assure some measure of peace in Afghanistan is to kill sufficient Taliban and other jihadis in Afghanistan and Pakistan to persuade their ISI masters to put aside such efforts for the nonce.
[LIBYAREVIEW] The Secretary-General of the Norwegian International Society For Justice And Peace in Oslo (NISJP), Tariq Anani said that Libya falls within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC), under Security Council Resolution No. 1973 of 2011. Therefore, a lawsuit could be filed to investigate war crimes committed by militias and gangs aligned to the outgoing Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez al-Sarraj.In press statements, Anani said that the GNA-affiliated militias have "committed many triable crimes," especially with al-Sarraj seeking their help in the war against the Libyan National Army (LNA).
He also called on Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU) not to leave these crimes unnoticed, and to act to convince the ICC to open an investigation. This is to ensure that justice is achieved, and the perpetrators do not go unpunished.
Ankara has been accused of sending thousands of Syrian mercenaries to Libya to fight alongside the GNA. This came after the GNA signed a controversial maritime border agreement that gave The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... drilling rights over vast swathes of the eastern Mediterranean.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Libya's new unity government took office on Tuesday from two warring administrations that had ruled eastern and western regions, completing a smooth transition of power after a decade of violent mostly peaceful chaos.
Fayez al-Sarraj, the Presidential Council head and head of the outgoing Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... , embraced his successor as premier Abdulhamid Dbeibeh as he gave up his powers.
"I am here today consolidating the principles of democracy," he said at a brief ceremony.
Dbeibeh's government, which emerged from talks involving the United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... , was approved last week by the country's long-divided parliament. It is mandated to improve services, unify state institutions and oversee national elections in December.
The Tripoli-based ministries of health, education and finance each put out statements affirming they had handed over to the new ministers. Images on social media showed the GNA interior minister Fathi Bashagha departing in his own personal car.
Dbeibeh took the oath of office in the eastern city of Tobruk on Monday, where the eastern-based administration had also welcomed his appointment.
Coming after months of a ceasefire between the two main sides in the conflict, it appears to represent Libya's best hope for many years of an eventual resolution after the decade of chaos.
However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... big problems persist. On the streets, power is still held by an array of local gangs that have looted the country's oil wealth.
Foreign powers that backed each side have not pulled out fighters or arms. And Libyan politicians who fear losing sway could still challenge or sabotage the transition.
A sign of the continued mistrust is visible to any who seek to cross the country by road: the main coastal highway remains closed between Misrata and Sirte where the frontline solidified last summer. A ceasefire commission appointed last year has made little progress in reopening it.
Dbeibeh's own appointment is itself clouded by allegations of corruption that have not yet been publicly aired by the UN team invigilating the process.
Holding an election - and crafting a constitutional process to allow it to take place - will also be a huge challenge beyond the government's other set task of restoring unified services.

I haven't been following this particular soap opera. So which gang is this now?
[ALMASDARNEWS] Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... is requesting drones from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... ."
Erdogan reportedly said, "We have received a request from Saudi Arabia regarding armed drones."
No further details were released.

[RT] Australia’s spy agency is shifting the focus on how it describes the enemies it hunts. From now on, the Australian Security Intelligence Agency (ASIO) will use the term ’religiously motivated’ instead of ’Islamic bad boy.’
"We don’t investigate people because of their religious views — it’s violence that is relevant to our powers — but that’s not always clear when we use the term ’Islamic extremism’," Mike Burgess, the director-general of ASIO said. "Understandably, some Moslem groups — and others — see this term as damaging and misrepresentative of Islam, and consider that it stigmatizes them by encouraging stereotyping and stoking division. Our language needs to evolve to match the evolving threat environment."

[Summit] The Danish government has announced that it will limit the number of ’non-western’ residents in neighborhoods to 30 per cent in order to "reduce the risk of religious and cultural parallel societies."
The policy, which will be implemented over the next 10 years, recognizes that multiculturalism must be restricted in order to create cohesive communities.
The Social Democratic government made the announcement earlier today, with Interior Minister Kaare Dybvad Bek asserting that too many non-western residents in one area leads to the creation of ghettos, although that exact term has been removed from the legislation.
Out of Denmark’s 11.8 million inhabitants, around 11 per cent are of foreign origin, of whom 58 per cent are from non-western countries.
Denmark also recently became the first European country to tell Syrian migrants to return to their home country now that it is safe.

As an ordinary citizen he greased the infamous hookers peeing on the Obamabed in Moscow dossier in an attempt to smear President Trump... .Then Zuberi resisted pressure to cooperate in the investigation of then-President Donald Trump ...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons...... 's inauguration committee, and the Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, millionaire's world came crashing down. Late last year, he pleaded guilty to what federal prosecutors said was a "mercenary" scheme to funnel large sums of foreign money into U.S. campaign coffers so Zuberi could gain political influence and build his global business empire.
When Zuberi was sentenced last month to 12 years in prison and more than $18 million in fines — one of the harshest penalties ever meted out for a donor fraud case — it seemed like an open-and-shut case of political corruption. To the news media, it was a made-for-TV tale of greed and graft felling a man whose charity and good nature otherwise endeared him to many from Hollywood to Washington.
But back in the nation's capital, the U.S. government harbored a deep secret about Zuberi, a Pak-American who ran a highly successful venture capital firm with reach across the globe.
Just the News has confirmed from multiple current and former U.S. officials that Zuberi enjoyed a long and complex relationship with U.S. intelligence. His early help to the Drug Enforcement Administration with illegal drug trade and the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department in the war on Islamic terrorism in the early 2000s eventually elevated him to becoming a valuable source inside Washington's security and spy establishment for much of the last two decades, the officials said. They declined to be more specific.

Good read Fred ... thanks.
The 12 year sentence alone despite being a Long Time Intel Asset causes me to wonder.
Why DC needed him locked away and kept quiet for so long?
Will we soon hear how the Drug Cartel or the Islamic Brother inmates got to him?
Or how he slipped on a bar of soap and broke his neck?
Or Hung Himself?
My Info Inquiring Question is:
Now that he has been convicted, will the court testimony and evidence files be Sealed or Open for FOIA requests. Because, I am sure there will be some Very Well Known Names that received his $$$$$ and "support" that $$$$ can buy or cover up.

[EpochTimes] Illegal border-crossers are coming into the United States wearing wristbands that relate to the smuggling organization or cartel that they paid to cross the river, according to new reports and confirmation by Border Patrol agents.
The wristbands have been spotted on illegal immigrants colonists in the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas, as well as discarded on the ground beyond the river. Some illegal aliens were found wearing two different colored wristbands.
The system "basically outlines a process that the smugglers are using to know who paid, who didn’t, so that they can start moving them through—because they’ve got so many people backing up," according to Jaeson Jones, a former captain in the Texas Department of Public Safety.

[OneIndia] The case of recovery of gelatin sticks near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence in Mumbai has turned murkier with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) claiming there were "other players" who had been allegedly instructing arrested policeman Sachin Waze.
Waze, who was arrested by the NIA on Saturday, was working at the instruction of "some people" and that needs to be found out, officials associated with the probe said on condition of anonymity.
The Mumbai Police officer was the second investigator in the case related to the recovery of an explosive-laden vehicle and a threat letter near Ambani's residence on February 25.
They said that evidence about involvement of some more people had surfaced during the investigation and soon they would be called for questioning.
A letter from the terror outfit Jaish-Ul-Hind, posted on Telegram app, demanding ransom and claiming responsibility for the incident will also be investigated.
The Delhi Police's special cell has already taken into custody Tehseen Akhtar, an associate of the Indian Mujahideen A locally recruited auxilliary of Pakistain's Lashkar-e-Taiba, designed to give a domestic patina to Pakistain's terror war against its bigger neighbor... who is an expertise on fabricating improvised bombs. The officials said some evidences have been collected after questioning Akhtar and seizing the mobile instrument used to post the threat letter on Telegram app, and Waze will soon be confronted with these.
The officials said that the case had virtually been cracked and soon the entire conspiracy behind the case would be unravelled. An assistant police inspector, Waze, who was reinstated in service after 16 years of suspension in a case related to the murder of Khwaja Yunus in 2003 and destruction of evidence, allegedly agreed to be part of the conspiracy behind the incident to earn back the respect that he might have lost due to his prolonged suspension, officials said.
The NIA on Tuesday recovered a Mercedes Benz and the original number plate of the vehicle used to plant explosive near the residence of Ambani on Carmichael Road in Mumbai. Cash of Rs five lakh and currency counting machine were also seized at the disclosure of Waze, the officials said.
On the fateful day, Waze used his own government vehicle to escort the explosive laden vehicle and himself drove it to the scene of the crime. The vehicle was seized by the NIA on March 14. The officials said investigation regarding actual owner of the Mercedes car will also be established during the probe.
The NIA had said in the court that there is sufficient prima facie evidence to show the involvement of the accused in the conspiracy of the crime and the conspiracy angle needs to be thoroughly probed, besides establishing identity of the co-conspirators.

"We are confident you share the urgency of rolling out the agreed-upon disbursement mechanisms at the earliest, in order to ensure the consistency and continuity of aid amidst increasingly challenging socio-economic conditions," the letter said.
Lebanon has one of the most unequal wealth distributions in the world and poverty has soared since an economic crisis erupted in 2019, worsened by a kaboom in August that left Beirut's port and downtown business area in ruins.
Protesters burned tires and blocked roads in Beirut on Tuesday, raising fears of wider unrest in a country reeling from soaring unemployment and inflation, the COVID-19 pandemic and a financial crisis rooted in decades of state waste and graft.
Roughly half of the workforce relies on daily wages mostly paid in local currency, and a recent study by aid organization CARE found that 94% of Lebanon's population are earning less than the minimum wage.
