was plotting a series of "terrorist attacks" against public figures, buildings and houses of worship on the anniversary of the 25 January Revolution
Egyptian authorities foiled a plot orchestrated by runaway leaders of the banned Moslem Brüderbund in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... with the aid of accomplices in Egypt that was designed to destabalise the country on the ninth anniversary of the 25 January Revolution, the interior ministry said on Wednesday.
The plan, unveiled by the National Security Apparatus, aimed at "undermining security and stability, stirring chaos in the country and damaging its economy" in tandem with the anniversary of the popular uprising, the ministry said in a statement.
The group was plotting a series of "terrorist attacks" by the holy warrior Hasm group against important figures and buildings and places of worship on the anniversary of the revolution, and was providing the necessary funding to achieve that.
The ministry said they already carried out an attack in Qalioubiya that killed two coppers and a civilian in November.
They also attemped to use accounts on social media platforms to organise protests and provoke riots and chaos, and hired media committees to "spread lies and rumours to fuel public anger."
The ministry identified the names of seven orchestrators of the plot whom it said are now in Turkey. Four of them face jail terms over terrorism-related charges and the others are issued arrest warrants over similar accusations, it said.
Police arrested a number of those behind online campaigns aiming to stir riots and sabotage state buildings, and others working for media platforms belonging to the outlawed Brotherhood, which was designated a terrorist organization in 2013.
Security forces arrested some members of the holy warrior Hasm group, including the perpetrators of the November attack, the statement added. They were found in posession of automatic weapons, shotguns, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and bombs.
Authorities are working to arrest the figuitives, the ministry said.

[IsraelTimes] IDF beefs up defenses amid fears Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... terror groups intend to fire rockets to disrupt international Holocaust meet on Thursday, avenge killing of 3 infiltrators.
Egypt is in involved in "intense efforts" to get the Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, terror group to end a recent uptick in arson balloon attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip amid fears of a return to violence, Israeli TV reported Wednesday.
Terror groups in the Strip have continued launch incendiary devices attached to balloons into Israel in recent days, undeterred by Israel’s threats to respond forcefully to Paleostinian attempts to disrupt a major event in Jerusalem attended by many world leaders.
Egypt, which has been the primary mediator in recent efforts to achieve a long-term truce between Israel and Hamas, was again involved and had persuaded Hamas to stop the balloon attacks, Israel’s Kan public broadcaster reported, citing unspecified Paleostinian sources.
There was no official confirmation of the report from Egypt or Hamas.
There were at least two attacks by balloon-borne incendiary devices earlier Wednesday.
In the morning, a bundle of balloons was found in the Gaza-adjacent Sdot Negev region, attached to a "suspicious object," the Israel Police said in a statement.
Officers and a police sapper arrived at the scene to deal with the object, the statement said.
Hebrew-language media reported that the incendiary balloons landed in a family’s backyard.
Later Wednesday, police sappers were dispatched to the town of Nir Moshe in the northern Negev region where an additional cluster of balloons landed with a suspicious device attached to it.
Israeli officials believe Hamas is behind the spate of balloon-borne bombs and incendiary devices launched into Israel in recent days, as the group seeks to signal it is unhappy with the slow progress of negotiations for a long-term ceasefire.
Officials have assessed that the group could move to undermine the Fifth World Holocaust Forum, held in Jerusalem on Wednesday and Thursday ‐ either by increasing balloon attacks at Israeli communities or by allowing other, smaller groups to fire rockets into Israel, the report said.
[Jpost] The infiltration attempt by three Paleostinian youth who got within two kilometers from Kibbutz Kissufim was not a spontaneous act, but one whose intent was to carry out a terror attack against IDF soldiers or Israeli civilians.
The three Paleostinians, identified as 17- and 18-year-olds Muhammad Hani Abu Mandil, Salem Ana'ami and Mahmoud Said, were spotted by IDF reconnaissance around 8.30 p.m. while still in Gazook territory. They were able to cross some 400 m. into southern Israel in a wooded area armed with improvised bombs, a knife and a screwdriver.
IDF Spokesperson Hildai Zilberman told news hounds that they had crossed some 2 kilometers from Kibbutz Kissufim in an area which is known by the military due to several infiltrations having occurred at the same spot in the past.
"There are those who cross, then stop; those who cross, then run; and those who cross, then continue like they have a mission. They did the last two things," Zilberman said, adding that once the three youth understood that they had been spotted and threw two bombs towards forces leading to troops to open fire towards them, killing all three.
While it is not yet clear if they were part of a terror group or acting on their own initiative, "we know it wasn’t spontaneous," he said, adding that the time the three were spotted until the end of the incident was very quickly.
IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi visited the south on Wednesday, Zilberman said, where he met with the troops and praised them for their quick response.
While the military does not expect any rocket attacks from the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",-run Strip in response to the death of the three Paleostinians, the IDF is prepared for any scenarios, Zilberman stressed.
The IDF said Tuesday that the Palestinians who infiltrated the Gaza border fence on Tuesday were not connected to any organized terror organization. The terrorists were operating on their own initiative, Channel 13 news quoted the IDF as saying.
Protests in Lebanon have taken a violent turn, however, the first 90 days remained largely peaceful, with people attempting to form a human chain along the country's coast and a DJ in the city of Tripoli performing for large crowds in the city center. https://t.co/qkuOygfnXxpic.twitter.com/P4GBWTpk7I
