Sen. Johnson Goes Into Greater Detail About Hunter Biden's Shady Ukraine Dealings
[Townhall] OSHKOSH, Wisc. — The Senate Homeland Security and Finance Committees last week released a joint interim report about Hunter Biden's shady business dealings in Ukraine. The report shows that at least two members of the Obama administration raised concerns about Hunter's position on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas company, despite having no natural energy experience. The administration officials also had concerns about Hunter's position because his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, was in charge of America's foreign policy decisions in Ukraine.

According to Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), the Chair of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, how voters feel about nepotism and the situation in Ukraine depends heavily on how the mainstream media chooses to cover it, if at all.

"I've been pretty amazed at the bias of the media leading up to the report. I was trying to get some kind of interim report out even before our August recess but it's difficult. You have to pull things together. You want to try and make it as complete as possible, knowing that you're never going to get all the information. There's also legal considerations as well," Johnson told Townhall.

One of the biggest issues Johnson had throughout the time developing the report was the mainstream media's claim that him and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) were "peddling Russia disinformation."

"We did a quick little search and — this is by no means definitive — but something like 21 major news outlets [reported stories]. [We] found 116 reports prior to the release of our reports," the Wisconsin senator explained. "And about 70 percent of those were very negative, talking about how this is just going to be recycled information, Russia disinformation, same old debunked claims."

Out of the news articles that came from the joint report, Johnson said 18 were written, seven were fairly factual and 11 continued to push the "Russia disinformation" narrative or completely dismissed the report altogether.

"If that's the way the news media handles it, unless you watch Fox News or other outlets that actually are covering this, you don't have a clue of all the new information, all the troubling revelations that we brought forward in the report," Johnson said, referring to average Americans who might necessarily be in-tune with what's taking place inside the Beltway. "Again, we didn't even come close to answering all the questions. We're just potentially scratching the surface here. But what we presented was a lot of new information. Pretty troubling. $3.5 million dollars made from the former wife of the now-deceased former mayor of Moscow. You know, she became a billionaire through a great deal of corruption."

"Those are the types of people that Hunter Biden associates himself with and we laid out all kinds of connections in China. Again, we don't have all the answers there. Not by a long shot. But it's pretty troubling who he's connected to, their connections to the Chinese Communist Party [and] the People's Liberation Army," he explained.

CIA Director Gina Haspel is blocking the declassification of docs corruption at the highest levels in 2016
[The Federalist] CIA Director Gina Haspel is personally blocking the declassification of documents detailing corruption at the highest levels of the intelligence community during the 2016 election, according to The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis.

While new information about wrongdoing at the FBI has recently been declassified, including recent revelations about Hillary Clinton campaign’s collusion with Russia, Davis reported on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday that Haspel herself is standing in the way of the declassification of other relevant documents.

CIA Director Gina Haspel is personally blocking the declassification of documents detailing corruption at the highest levels of the intelligence community during the 2016 election, according to The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Judge allows Justice Department lawsuit against John Bolton to move forward
[Washington Examiner] A federal judge ruled on Thursday that the Justice Department’s lawsuit against John Bolton alleging that he breached his obligations and improperly disclosed classified information in his new book is allowed to move forward, rejecting the former White House national security adviser’s efforts to dismiss the case.

"As a condition of becoming National Security Advisor to President Trump, John Bolton signed three nondisclosure agreements with the United States. Those agreements guard classified information, including classified information about intelligence sources and methods known as sensitive compartmented information," Judge Royce Lamberth of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia wrote in a 27-page opinion.
Game, set, and match.
"Because the agreements imposed both obligations and because the government plausibly pleads that Bolton breached those obligations, the Court will deny Bolton's pending motion to dismiss," the Ronald Reagan appointee added.

"We are pleased with the ruling," Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec told the Washington Examiner.

Charles Cooper, Bolton's lawyer, told the Washington Examiner the "court’s decision, which we are still studying, means that the case will now move forward to the phase in which the parties will develop and present their evidence to the court."

Judge Emmett Sullivan, from General Flynn Trial, Arranged Speaking Gig for James Comey at Howard University for $100,000
[Gateway] The confused judge who has unconstitutionally inserted himself into the Justice Department’s case against General Flynn made some actions behind the scene that are just as troubling.

Judge Sullivan helped Jim Comey get his speaking gig at Howard University for $100,000.

How much more corruption can America take. The corrupt judge who inserted himself into the General Flynn case, who insinuated the General was a traitor, has a lifestyle that matches his actions in court.

He’s not only famous for his unethical standards and actions in the Flynn trial, he also ordered that deported asylum seekers must be returned to the US.

Second Debate Moderator Worked For Biden, Tweeted Resistance Screed
[Zero] Since PJ Media and a handful of other conservative reporters first drew attention to the fact that the chosen moderator for the second debate, Steve Scully, has a long history of anti-Trump tweets (he also got his start in politics by interning in then-Sen. Joe Biden's office during his college days, before taking a job in the office of Sen Ted Kennedy), more of Scully's ramblings attacking Trump during the 2016 race and after have surfaced online.

In one now-infamous tweet, Scully shared a column from the NYT along with the line: "No, not Trump, not ever."

VDH: The Strangest Campaign in History?
A taste:
[NationalReview] Many argue that 2020 will be the most important election in history, given the wide divergence between the Trump administration’s view and those of Democratic Party’s hard Left, which seems to have captured the Joe Biden candidacy.

Perhaps. But most will at least agree that the 2020 campaign is certainly the strangest, craziest and most absurd in the last 120 years.

Joe Biden may at 77 be the oldest major candidate of either major party ever to have run for president. But in this eerie 2020 landscape of pandemic, lockdown, recession, and riot, far stranger than Biden’s frailty is his campaign routine — or lack of same.

Bloomberg's Felon Relief in Florida May Run Afoul of Election Law
[AmGreatness] Billionaire Michael Bloomberg recently announced he has paid off the court fines and fees for 32,000 black and Latino ex-felons in Florida, thereby allowing them to register to vote in the November elections. This was done in response to a recent ruling by the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which prevented ex-felons in Florida from voting until they paid back the fines, fees, and restitution that were part of their sentences.

According to Bloomberg, however, "The right to vote is fundamental to our democracy and no American should be denied that right. Working together with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, we are determined to end disenfranchisement and the discrimination that has always driven it."

While Bloomberg’s feigned "generosity" may sound nice, it probably runs afoul of Florida law.

Jake Tapper describes friend's 6th-grade daughter running out of room in tears over Trump at debate
[BIZPACREVIEW] CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
proved that its post-debate analysis could be worse than the event itself as anchor Jake Tapper and other so-called journalists had an unprofessional meltdown on the air.

The CNN hosts unloaded scathing criticism of President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
while providing cover for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Failed seeker of the Democratic presidential nomination on multiple occasions, vice president under Barack Obama, giving it a last try in his dotage for 2020...
on Tuesday following the first 2020 presidential debate. The comments ranged from lies about the president’s remarks, melodramatic shock, profanity and even Tapper’s claim that a friend’s young daughter was so "appalled" by Trump that she ran to bed in tears.

Tapper sparked a wave of mockery and backlash on social media after his on-air account of a 6th-grade girl who allegedly had an over-emotional reaction to the president’s performance during the contentious debate from Cleveland, kept in touch with the world by Obamaphone,
...was ruled by a Democrat machine from 1942 through 1971. After the river caught fire during the administration of Carl Stokes they tried a Republican, then went back to being Democrats when the party hacked up Dennis Kucinich ...
, Ohio on Tuesday.

"We’re all getting text messages from friends all over the country," Tapper told his colleagues.

"A friend of mine in Kansas City, watching her first debate with her 6th-grade daughter. Daughter bursts into tears and has to run to bed because she was so appalled...what she saw from the President of the United States," Tapper recounted as the cameras focused on Dana Bash shaking her head.

Tapper’s anecdote landed with a thud on social media, however, as Twitter users slammed him for a story that many believed never even happened.

Other Twitter users questioned the 6th-grade girl’s home environment.

The post-debate reactions on CNN were stunning in their lack of objectivity, as Tapper and others bashed the president while defending Biden, who called Trump a "clown," a "racist," the "worst president...ever," and told him to "shut up" during the 90-minute event.

California governor signs corporate boardroom diversity law
[FOXBUSINESS] Hundreds of Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,-based corporations must have directors from racial or sexual minorities on their boards under a first-in-the-nation bill signed Wednesday by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Why would anybody now start a company in California when they can't choose their board or directors on MERIT? This is a design for a failed company from day zero!
The diversity legislation is similar to a 2018 measure that required boardrooms to have at least one female director by 2019. Like that measure, it could face court challenges from conservative groups who view it as a discriminatory quota.

Supporters evoked both the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic that is disproportionately affecting minorities and weeks of unrest and calls for inclusion that followed the slaying of George Floyd in May in the custody of Minneapolis police.

Minnesota Supporters Chant 'Lock Her Up' as Trump Mentions Ilhan Omar
[BREITBART] Supporters of President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
on Wednesday chanted, "lock her up," when the president referred to recent reporting exposing an organized ballot harvesting scheme in Minneapolis connected to Rep. Ilhan Omar
...Somali-American Dem representative from Minnesota. She was apparently married to her brother and may be her own grandmaw on her mother's side...
(D-MN).

"I’ve been reading reports for two years about how corrupt and crooked she is," Trump said at a campaign rally in Duluth, Minnesota.

The crowd repeatedly chanted, "lock her up," after Trump mentioned Ilhan Omar.

"What about Ohmar where she gets caught harvesting," Trump said. "What the hell is going on! I hope the U.S. attorney gets involved."

Project Veritas and James O’Keefe released videos of a Minneapolis organizer caught on video with stacks of empty ballots in a car and another organizer offering someone cash for someone’s ballot. A video of another organizer said that Omar was "the one who came up with all of this."

"Frankly, harvesting is terrible, but it’s the least of the things she has done," Trump continued. "Then she tells us how to run our country."

Trump warned Minnesota voters that if Biden is elected, he will increase refugees entering the United States by 700 percent, bringing in more people from the "most dangerous places in the world, including Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
, Syria, and your favorite country, Somalia."

Dirtiest Cop Testifies
[POWERLINEBLOG] Former FBI Director JamesThe spine of the FBI is the rule of law Comey
The disgraced, except in his own mind, former head of the FBI...
was one dirty cop. He testified for over four hours before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday regarding his role in the FBI’s efforts to undermine the Trump presidential campaign and presidency. Comey, it may be recalled, falsely certified three of the four FISA warrant application/renewals taken out by the FBI on Carter Page, alleged Russian spy, on the basis of information provided to Remington Christopher Steele by a gentleman whom the FBI itself investigated as a real Russian spy (2009-2011) before he hightailed it out of the United States.

In his testimony yesterday, Comey sounded like a Mafia chieftain bound by omertà. He knows nothin’. He remembers nothin’.

Gregg Jarrett reports on Comey’s appearance before the committee in the excellent FOX News column "Corrupt Comey conveniently claims no memory of parts of FBI’s Trump-Russia ’collusion’ probe." Subhead: "His bout of amnesia and/or dementia is nothing but a cleverly contrived act to avoid taking responsibility for his malign acts."

Jarrett notes: "Like a broken record, Comey responded to questions with the same pat answers: "Not that I recall ... I don’t know ... I don’t remember ... I never knew ... that doesn’t ring a bell." You can’t say Comey didn’t learn anything from his days as a prosecutor in the Southern District of New York or from viewing The Godfather.

#2  PJ Media: Josh Hawley Exposes James Comey Under Oath... and It's FIRE

On Wednesday, the Senate held a hearing on Crossfire Hurricane and the corruption in the highest levels of the FBI. That probe led to the Russia collusion investigation into the president based on a fake dossier and a falsified FISA warrant. Through it all, former FBI Director James Comey was a slippery son-of-a-gun who had more memory lapses than Bill Clinton trying to remember what the word “is” is. That is, until Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) took the microphone and tore him apart like a young Perry Mason with better hair.Comey kept insisting that it wasn’t just the FISA application (which destroyed Carter Page’s life) that was total garbage, but that all the FISA warrants that the FBI applied for were dumpster fires riddled with errors. It was an interesting defense that boiled down to: “I’m not corrupt, but everyone who worked for me was incompetent!”

But Hawley didn’t let him get away with that. You can skip to the video below to watch the exchange or you can read the transcript of my favorite parts here:
