[WashingtonExaminer] Anonymous efforts by anti-Trump federal bureaucrats to thwart the White House agenda through leaks and complaints to friendly reporters and congressional allies are a "mortal threat" to democracy and the 2016 election results, according to a top administration official.
"This is a mortal threat to the American system of government," said Stephen Miller, the senior adviser for policy.
...In an interview, Miller called inside attacks a "very grave threat," and he explained it this way:
"It is best understood as career federal employees that believe they are under no obligation to honor, respect, or abide by the results of a democratic election. Their view is, ’If I agree with what voters choose, then I’ll do what they choose. If I disagree with what voters choose, then I won’t, and I’ll continue doing my own thing. So basically it’s heads I win, tails you lose.
"’If you elect Hillary Clinton, then I’ll implement all of her policies very faithfully, and if I see massive evidence of corruption on Hillary Clinton’s part, then I’ll keep it all a secret. If you elect a candidate I disagree with, then I’ll lie, I’ll leak, I’ll cheat, I’ll smear, I’ll attack, I’ll persecute, and I will refuse to implement, and I will obstruct at every single step of the way.’"

At its base this about public sector officiousness, greed, and sociopathy.
Look, these people know on some level what 22T$ in debt means. The Keynesian thing is over and many millions of publicly employed are going to have to go back into the dreaded private sector at a lower pay grade than their sinecure in the clerisy pays them now. All means will be employed to put this off for as long as possible. It really is that simple.

Should be grounds for firing without benefits. Could save a lot of money if they can be spotted. And if they can't be spotted their boss can.
Very troubling, if Sen. Grassley is right.
[DailyCaller] Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley expressed frustration Monday at a months long delay in the release of the Justice Department Inspector General’s report on possible FBI surveillance abuse against the Trump campaign, questioning whether the "deep state" has somehow slowed the release of the document.
"All of the delays and excuses why the Horowitz IG FISA report isn’t public yet after several months of anticipation of its issues leads me to the suspicion it’s going to be ’deep six’ by the deep state," Grassley wrote on Twitter.
Everything from its settlement patterns to its defense strategy to its national politics to its economic structure is wildly different not just from the United States, but from every other country on the globe. Until now that has not had an overly negative impact upon Canadian-American relations, but times are changing (and from the Canadian point of view, not for the better). To really understand recent shifts, we need to start not in Canada, but in Mexico.

the Mexican demography is the demography of the perfect partner.
There are the issues of human trafficking, a high murder rate, corruption, cartels and drugs. If they were the perfect partner, we wouldn't have a need to build a wall. They must not be the perfect partner.
[Mil.com] The Army's new Modular Handgun System (MHS) is creating a lot of excitement on the range, according to soldiers from the 1st Armored Division, who recently got the chance to shoot the service's new 9mm sidearm.
Since its adoption in 2017, the MHS, made by Sig Sauer, has begun to replace the Army's Cold War-era M9 9mm pistol, made by Beretta. Soldiers from the 1st AD's 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team from Fort Bliss, Texas recently shot the new M17 MHS for the first time.
First Lt. Shannon Martin, an armor officer assigned to 1-67, noticed the enthusiasm soldiers showed during the recent training day at the range.
"I think having a new weapons system has sprouted interest," Martin said in a recent Army news release. "We have soldiers who say 'cool, I'm so excited to go and shoot these,' so it creates more interest in qualifying with a handgun."
Martin said she first saw the M17 during a deployment to Korea.

I like SIG pistols. I just don't like 9mm. That said I have a P365, but when I pull my big boy pants on, I go with the now regrettably discontinued P227...

9mm with hollow points is good. It's the restriction to ball ammo that makes 9mm non-competitive. IIUC, the new MHS contract stipulates 147 gr hollow points as ammo. I wonder how that will work given the GC.

Been doing it for years, but they only publicize his actions this year. Note:
He is pictured with former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, whose campaign he donated to in 2015 -- and --
Zuberi, a longtime political donor, has supported candidates from both parties in the past. He is seen with former President Barack Obama (left) and former Vice President Joe Biden (right). Not to mention -
Zuberi'sname surfaced in that investigation amid reports that Trump's former personal lawyer Michael Cohen was questioned by federal prosecutors about the donor.
I'm sure the US media will focus on this last tidbit.

This whole thing seems too covenient. Why wasn't Zuberi prosecuted under the Obama administration? Certainly Obama and Hillary knew about him early on. Why is this coming up now? I smell a rat or several.

The claim here is that this guy donated to the Trump Inaugural Committee, not to the Trump Campaign.
If he gave to the Trump campaign that surely would have been mentioned.
Also it seems that he gave some campaign illegal contributions, to influence high power politicians. Who could that campaign and those politician be?
Who beside Trump was running for President?
Could it have been Jill Stein? Is there anyone else possible?

[MAIL] This video shows the inside of an American military camp in Syria which was hastily abandoned by U.S. troops after Donald Trump ordered them out.
Russian journalist Oleg Blokhin filmed at the base near Manbij in northern Syria where bottles of alcohol-free beer were still sitting on tables, a wide-screen TV was perched inside a tent and a laundry room was lying empty.
The camp was equipped with armchairs, fridges and satellite dishes, as well as books and a collection of DVDs and video games, all of which were left behind.
American forces cleared out hurriedly as Turkey began its military onslaught within days of Trump's announcement earlier this month, and Russian and Syrian forces have already entered the area.

GRAYS, England (Reuters) - British police found the bodies of 39 people inside a truck believed to have come from Bulgaria at an industrial estate to the east of London on Wednesday, and said they had arrested the driver on suspicion of murder.
The discovery was made in the early hours after emergency services were alerted to people in the truck container, on a gritty industrial site in Grays, about 20 miles from central London.
The truck was thought to have entered Britain at Holyhead, a North Wales port that is a major entry point for traffic from Ireland, on Saturday and to have originally started its journey in Bulgaria, police said. The driver of the truck, a 25-year-old man from Northern Ireland, was in custody.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was appalled.

If this happened here, it would be advertised as proof we need to open our borders to all comers.
Imagine all the money the cartels wouldn't make if we just legalized human trafficking. Time to admit the War on Human Trafficking is lost, and literally anything other than what we are doing would be an improvement.
[WarZone] The Air Force has quietly hired not one, but seven different companies to provide "red air" adversary support to help U.S. military combat jet pilots train at various bases across the United States. This massive multi-billion dollar contract is the culmination of a major effort within the service that has been years in the making to increasingly rely on contractors to provide these services in order to improve flexibility for training requirements and to save money.
Air Combat Command awarded the subcontracts to Air USA Inc., Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) LLC., Blue Air Training, Coastal Defense, Draken International, Tactical Air Support (TacAir), and Top Aces Corporation as part of a single, larger deal on Oct. 18, 2019. The Pentagon's official announcement notice did not say how much each company stands to make under their respective deals, which will cover work through 2024, though it is possible that there may be performance-based incentives for additional work as time goes on. The Air Force has capped the over-arching contract at no more than $6.4 billion, less than the $7.5 billion it had originally estimated it would cost.

[Babylon Bee] PHILADELPHIA, PA‐After hiring a plethora of speech coaches to assist her in preparing for her big Thursday night address, sources confirmed Tuesday that Hillary Clinton is practicing her Democratic National Convention speech in dozens of different U.S. dialects.
"Normally I just adapt my drawl to mimic whatever pitiful populace I’m currently addressing," she explained to her team of trainers. "But listen, this is the biggest speech of my life and the entire country will be watching‐I have to be able to nail every significant accent in the land, at will, so these [expletive] people will think I’m authentic."
Blending a distinctive Appalachian note with a northern Montana timbre, she reportedly informed the room full of professionals that they will all be "dead by Friday" if she can’t "alter [her] voice like Frank Caliendo come Thursday."
Sources reported Clinton was having the most trouble with the South Boston accent, and after dismissing her original, world-renowned coach by hurling a large book at his head, she told aides to "call in Ben Damon or whatever his [expletive] name is‐I don’t care how much it costs."
(Reuters) - Anthem Inc (ANTM.N) reported a better-than-expected quarterly profit on Wednesday as it benefited from higher sales of its government-backed health plans, prompting the health insurer to raise its full-year profit forecast.
The company, which earlier this year launched pharmacy benefits business IngenioRx, forecast adjusted 2019 earnings of more than $19.40 per share, up from its prior view of more than$19.30.
Operating revenue from its government business, which sells Medicare and Medicaid health plans, rose 14% to $15.96 billion.
The company said its benefit expense ratio ‐ the percentage of premiums paid for medical services ‐ worsened to 87.2% from 84.8% a year earlier. Analysts on average expected 86.59%, according to IBES data from Refinitiv. A lower benefit expense ratio is better for health insurers.
Net income rose to $1.18 billion, or $4.55 per share, in the third quarter ended Sept. 30 from $960 million, or $3.62 per share, a year earlier.
Excluding items, the company earned $4.87 per share, ahead of the average analyst estimate of $4.82 per share.
Total operating revenue rose 15% to $26.44 billion, beating estimates of $25.88 billion.

TODAY. Both the New York Times and The New Yorker have articles about how centrist and establishment Democrats are apoplectic over what is happening in the Democratic Primaries.
Biden is fading, mentally and politically. He’s hanging on for dear life to a presumption coming into the primaries that he had what it takes, but he doesn’t. Bernie and Warren are viewed as gateway drugs to general election disaster. (For a brutal take down of Warren’s electoral chances from a progressive view, read Why Criticize Warren? in Current Affairs.)
The others in the race all have problems, from stone cold boring to non-starters. Kamala Harris is the biggest disappointment, there’s no there there.
And there’s one person they both note who could walk away with the nomination, but doesn’t appear to want it.

The problem for the Dems is that the public has figured out that ISSUES matter. They knew that Trump was a boor but that didn't matter that much. What mattered was what he said he'd do, and has done.
The media and DNC, but I repeat my self, still think that it's all a matter of the pretty face ala JFK (the first one) that matters and that's just not that true anymore.
So what issues are the Dems running on that the people like????????????

[Al-Rooters] An Iraqi government committee investigating a wave of unrest found that 149 civilians were killed because security forces used excessive force and live fire to quell protests, according to its report, seen by Reuters.
The report, which said more than 70% of the deaths were caused by shots to the head or chest, held senior commanders responsible but stopped short of blaming the prime minister and other top officials, saying there had been no order to shoot.
Protests over high unemployment, poor public services and corruption erupted on Oct. 1, prompting a violent security crackdown. Protesters blame graft and infighting among political leaders for failing to improve their lives even in peacetime, two years after Islamic State was declared defeated in Iraq.
"The committee found that officers and commanders lost control over their forces during the protests (and this) caused chaos," the panel said in its report. "There were no official orders from the supreme authorities to security forces to open fire toward protesters or use live ammunition at all."
Two Iraqi security officials had told Reuters last week that Iran-backed militias deployed snipers on Baghdad rooftops during what became Iraq's deadliest anti-government protests for years. Related story on the Burg today

No doubt a plan already in place by the Chinese in Hong Kong - and likely by our own 'security forces' if certain of us doth protest too much...
[American Greatness] Two elements of the turbulent current American political scene became clearer over the past week. One is the determination, attested to by almost all Washington insiders whatever side they are on, of the Democratic leadership to force an impeachment trial of the president. Also developing, as a further bleat from the vanishing NeverTrumpers, is the theory that large chunks of Republican loyalty in Congress are starting to peel off and desert the president.
Since all polls show Republican opinion in the country is rock solid behind the president and by any normal criteria‐the economy, declining illegal immigration, and his delivery on election promises‐he will be reelected easily. This, as the egregious U.S. Representative Al Green (D-Texas) says, is the problem: if Trump isn’t impeached, he will be reelected. But impeachment will be a complete failure, and he will be reelected anyway.
The game has escalated. Donald Trump said he would drain the swamp and he has made a greater effort than any president since Andrew Jackson in 1829 to sweep out the governing elites. It was not on a whim that he had that president’s painting hung behind his desk in the Oval Office and visited Jackson’s home, The Hermitage, in Nashville.

His presidency must be made to be as wearing and painful as possible. Professional ruin would be the desired outcome (25m target). It is likely that Little can be done about him, but others must be discouraged from similar future roles. An example must surely be made.
As copied from the VDH view, but much less eloquently stated.

Even the New Yorker's now printing articles warning that impeachment is a bad joke -- see historian Jill Lepore's lengthy piece this week on the origins of the term in the 14th century and its evolution through the 17th and 18th centuries.
At this point it's become a bad parody of a show trial.

Actual impeachment has nothing to do with what is going on. They really don't care if he gets impeached. They are building the smear files for his reelection. Their actions, paid for by the inquiry, is only designed to gather sound bites of corruption to be released every time the last sound bite losses interest with the media. We the tax payers are funding the Dems in their 2020 campaign. For example, "A State department diplomate told congress under oath said that Trump did X". Trump now has to prove he did not, then as he is defending himself, "General Y said Trump told him to break the law". And on and on. Now Trump is not campaigning, he is defending himself against all this out of context slander.

Burning down the house. Scorched earth. Why should the Left put up with a facade of democracy when its just power they want? Why should anyone 'obey' whom ever they put in place in Washington? They're removing the last shreds of legitimacy. By any means necessary! They'd rather reign in hell than serve in heaven.

[IsraelTimes] Rioters in Issawiya attack security forces, hit passing vehicle and set it ablaze; Molotov cocktails hurled at cars on Jerusalem-Ma’ale Adumim highway; 8 arrested.
A passerby was maimed overnight Monday-Tuesday after his car caught fire when it was hit by a Molotov cocktail thrown at police in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya, the Israel Police said in a statement Tuesday.
Officers pulled the man from the burning vehicle and took him to the hospital in a patrol car.
A policeman was also lightly injured as he helped drag the man out of the car, and was treated at the scene.
The incident happened as security forces clashed with rioters in Issawiya.
Police entered the neighborhood in force after receiving reports of Molotov cocktails thrown at vehicles traveling on the Jerusalem-Ma’ale Adumim highway, which runs adjacent to the neighborhood.
Rioters had also attacked officers already stationed in Issawiya, the statement said.
Eight people were arrested in the disturbances, during which rioters threw Molotov cocktails and rocks at security forces and targeted them with firecrackers, police said.
[Jpost] A 50-year old Paleostinian resident of the West Bank was severely beaten by Paleostinian Authority security forces after he converted to the Jewish faith , Ynet reported on Tuesday.
The man was arrested two weeks ago and kept in jug after he was asked by his sons to meet them somewhere in the West Bank.
The man completed the long process of Jewish conversion on Rosh Hashana in a Haredi court led by Rabbi Nissim Karelitz, who was passed away this week.
The man was in the process of having his new identity approved by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, which would have technically enabled him to apply for Israeli citizenship under the law of return.
Instead, he was called to the West Bank to meet his family and was arrested by the PA security forces and delivered to the PA cop shoppe in Hebron.
The man spoke over the phone with Haim Perg, who is a leader of the Jewish community in Hebron, and told him he was badly beaten and his hands were burned.
Perg claimed the man is the grandson of an Arab man who rescued the lives of 26 Jewish people during the 1929 Hebron riots. In his in-depth study of the riots, Professor Hillel Cohen pointed out how alongside cases of Arab brutality against Jewish neighbors there were cases of Arabs saving Jews in his 2015 book 1929: Year Zero of the Arab-Israeli Conflict.
Saying that the man is like his own son to him, Perg vowed to "shake the world" to have him released.
[Jpost] Unidentified drones attacked Syrian areas controlled by the Assad regime and Iranian-backed Shi'ite militias at the Hamdan airport near the town of al-Bukamal in the eastern region of Deir ez-Zor, according to opposition-affiliated TV station Halab Today.
Before the attack, three drones were seen flying from the direction of areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces militia, according to Step News, a news agency founded by Syrian activists and journalists. At noon, explosions were heard at the Hamdan airport. Ambulances were sent to the airport, but the number of causalities is unknown.
Iranian-backed militias in al-Bukamal have been targeted by Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s multiple times in the past year.

A strategic border crossing between Iraq and Syria is located in the area.
Iranian forces and militias loyal to them are fortifying their positions in the Deir ez-Zor area in eastern Syria where al-Bukamal is located, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights [SOHR]. In September, at least 37 turbans were killed in two airstrikes which also destroyed vehicles, ammunition depots, weapons and buildings in the al-Bukamal area. Many of those killed were of Iraqi nationality.
The attacks in the al-Bukamal area have been blamed on both Israel and Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. "Saudi fighter jets have been spotted along with other fighter jets that have attacked facilities and positions belonging to Iranian militias," said an unnamed source to the Independent in Arabic. The attacks targeted positions belonging to the Quds force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in al-Bukamal and other areas near the Iraq-Syria border.
Saudi sources later denied the report, according to the Independent.
On September 9, airstrikes allegedly carried out by Israel destroyed a military base in the area under Iranian control, according to the SOHR.

[AlAhram] India and Pakistain are set to sign an agreement on Indian pilgrims visiting a Sikh shrine in Pakistain, rare cooperation between the nuclear-armed neighbours at a time of tension that has brought exchanges of fire on their disputed border.
The pact will introduce visa-free access from India to the Pak town of Kartarpur, home to a temple that marks the site where the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak, died.
India's foreign ministry said in a statement late on Monday an understanding had been reached on most issues and India was prepared to sign the agreement on Wednesday.
Pak officials were not immediately available for comment but Pakistain's Dawn newspaper cited a foreign ministry front man as saying agreement had been reached and the two sides would sign the pact soon.
The Sikh minority in India has long sought easier access to the temple in Kartarpur, which is just over the border in Moslem-majority Pakistain.
The collaboration comes at a time of tension between the rivals, with Pakistain particularly aggrieved over recent Indian government measures in its part of the divided Moslem-majority region of Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... Both countries claim the Himalayan region in full but rule it in part.
India in August revoked special autonomy in Indian-controlled Kashmir, which was accompanied by a crackdown on dissent by India's security forces there, angering Pakistain.
The dispute over Kashmir has bedevilled relations since their independence in 1947 and sparked two of their three wars.
India said on Sunday two soldiers and a civilian were killed in cross-border shelling in Kashmir while Pakistain said one of its soldiers and three civilians had been killed.
In February, they came close to war following a suicide kaboom in Indian Kashmir that killed 40 paramilitary soldiers. In response, India launched an air strike on the Pak side and Pakistain shot down an Indian aircraft.
The new crossing will be inaugurated in early November, just before the 550th birthday of Sikhism's founder on Nov. 12, officials from both sides have said.
The shrine is about 4 km (2-1/2 miles) from the border. The crossing and corridor, including a road, bridge over the Ravi River and immigration office, will replace a drawn-out visa process and circuitous journey through Pakistain.
But there is still disagreement over a $20 fee that Pakistain wants to charge each visitor.
India "has consistently urged Pakistain that in deference to the wishes of the pilgrims, it should not levy such a fee", India's foreign ministry said.
[MAIL] German chancellor Angela Merkel has thrown her support behind her defence minister's controversial plan for a 'safe zone' in northern Syria enforced by Western troops - possibly even German ones.
Merkel told conservative MPs that the idea was 'very promising, even if there are many questions', sources in the parliamentary party said.
The chancellor's decision to welcome a million Syrian migrants in 2015 has tarnished her political standing at home, but the idea of a 'safe zone' has previously been mooted to reduce the outflow of refugees from the war-torn country.
But Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer's plan has already met with resistance from Merkel's coalition partners, the Social Democrats (SPD).
One SPD member, Heiko Maas, told reporters the idea had provoked a 'certain degree of irritation' among NATO allies.
It is the first time Berlin has proposed a military mission in the Middle East.

SOCHI, Russia/ANKARA (Reuters) - Syrian and Russian forces will deploy in northeast Syria to remove Kurdish YPG fighters and their weapons from the border with Turkey under a deal agreed on Tuesday which both Moscow and Ankara hailed as a triumph.
Hours after the deal was announced, the Turkish defense ministry said that the United States had told Turkey the withdrawal of Kurdish militants was complete from the "safe zone" Ankara demands in northern Syria.
There was no need to initiate another operation outside the current area of operation at this stage, the ministry said in a statement, effectively ending its military offensive that had begun on Oct. 9, drawing widespread criticism.

HONG KONG (Reuters) - A murder suspect whose case was used by the Hong Kong government to push for a controversial extradition bill walked free from jail on Wednesday as the city’s authorities squabbled with Taiwan over how to handle a promised voluntary surrender.
Chan Tong-kai, a Hong Kong citizen, was accused of murdering his girlfriend in Taiwan last year before fleeing back to the Chinese-ruled financial hub.
Chan, wearing a navy blue shirt and red backpack, bowed and apologized to the family of his ex-girlfriend and the public as he left the prison in Hong Kong’s rural Sai Kung district after serving 29 months for money laundering.
He said he had made an "unforgivable mistake" and was willing to plead guilty and turn himself in to Taiwan for trial.
[Bearing Arms] It’s not shocking to learn that Giffords is going to back anti-gun candidates for president in 2020. We expect that. We expect it kind of like we expect Shannon Watts to say something really, really stupid.
However, one might not expect the organization to start its push this early, especially when there are so many anti-gun candidates still fighting for the opportunity to represent the Democratic Party.
And yet, it is.
The gun control organization founded by gun violence survivor and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords is sinking nearly $200,000 into digital ads starting Monday in three key Super Tuesday states: Minnesota, Texas, and Colorado.
The ads feature eight presidential candidates ‐ including top contenders like Biden, Warren, and Sanders ‐ speaking directly to camera about their plans to curb the gun violence epidemic in the country.
The short videos allow each candidate to speak personally about how gun violence has impacted their role as a public servant or shaped their policy-making process. They’ll run mostly on Facebook and YouTube.
"What we want to do via our Gun Safety President campaign is put these candidates directly in front of the gun safety voters and let them decide for themselves," Peter Ambler, the executive director of the organization, told VICE News. "Across the country at kitchen tables, people are talking about keeping their communities safe, keeping their kids safe, not impeachment."
In addition to Biden, Warren, and Sanders, there will be spots for Sens. Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and Beto O’Rourke.
However, a number of candidates are noticeable by their absence. Among them are Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who has been accused of being a Russian asset by Hillary Clinton, and Julian Castro, who took issue with door to door gun confiscation.
Of course, both are polling lower than two percent in the polls, which might explain it. After all, Giffords may well opt not to back candidates who aren’t polling at least two percent, which would be fair. As it is, most of those at the lower end of the spectrum don’t have a hope in hell of winning even this far out, so why not focus on those polling better?

[Fox] BOSTON ‐ "Full House" actress Lori Loughlin, her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, and nine other parents were indicted Tuesday on new federal charges as prosecutors pressure them to admit guilt in a college admissions bribery scheme.
A grand jury in Boston indicted the parents on charges of conspiracy to commit federal program bribery.
The count accuses the parents of attempting to bribe officials at an organization that receives at least $10,000 in federal funding.
They are accused of paying to get their children admitted to the University of Southern California. All 11 defendants have previously pleaded not guilty to other charges in the scheme.
It’s the second time prosecutors have added new charges for parents pleading not guilty in the case. In April, they added money laundering to the initial charges of fraud and conspiracy.
U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling in Boston said the latest charges stem from an ongoing investigation.
The charges will further his goal of holding the defendants "fully accountable for corrupting the college admissions process through cheating, bribery and fraud," he said in a statement.
Lawyers for Loughlin and Giannulli did not immediately respond to the charges.
The couple are accused of paying $500,000 to get their two daughters admitted to USC as recruits on the crew team, even though neither participated in the sport. Loughlin and Giannulli have pleaded not guilty.
Others indicted on the new charge include William McGlashan, who co-founded an investment fund with U2’s Bono in 2017, and Robert Zangrillo, a prominent Miami real estate developer.

What about the University clerks and admissions people ? No one offers bribes unless there's a known history of it working in the past.
I feel this is just class vendetta playing out. The people being pulled through the self-righteous wringer are all probably white and unaffiliated with woke politics.

Many (most?) of our politicians got into the Ivy's via "legacy," that's to say daddy and / or mommy went there first and "donated" (your and my tax dollars) to alma mater. Loughlin and Huffman felt they could skip the legacy part and just send money. That was their mistake, and they would have got away with it but for circumstances.

[Townhall] The City of Flint Michigan is in the news yet again for potentially questionable city management after 10 men and seven women filed a lawsuit on October 17 alleging that the City of Flint, colice chief Timothy Johnson, and city human resources Manager Makini Jackson displayed "a pattern of discrimination and harassment" according to ABC 12 News.
via ABC 12 News:
Throughout the 24-page document, Attorney Dean Yeotis laid out claims of reverse discrimination, citing multiple times when one of the 17 was the most qualified for a higher position, but was never given the opportunity.
Instead, the lawsuit claimed, some were demoted and others were passed up. Each time, it said, the person who received the position was an African American, who in most instances, either didn't have the qualifications, scored lower them one of the 17 on the promotion exam, or in one case, the person was "hired off the street."
The female police officers also claimed sexual harassment at the hands of Deputy Chief Devon Bernritter and Sgt. Tyrone Booth.
Indeed, the lawsuit posted below contains various alleged examples of grotesque subjugation and sexual harassment from high ranking police officers. Several of the plaintiffs claim that these public employees demanded oral sex from female staffers in order to receive promotions. After refusing, the plaintiffs allege they were punished by being demoted and transferred.

[Right Scoop] According to Natasha Bertrand with Politico, John Brennan is being investigated by John Durham who is probing the origins of the FBI’s counterintelligence probe into the Trump campaign:
Of course, she tries to spin this to make it about Trump. But I seriously doubt Durham would be investigating Brennan if it weren’t warranted.
Here’s what she wrote in her article:
Barr has been meeting with the U.S.’ closest foreign intelligence allies in recent months, making repeated overseas trips as part of an investigation he is overseeing into the origins of the Russia probe and whether any inappropriate "spying" occurred on Trump’s campaign.
As part of that investigation, Barr and John Durham, the federal prosecutor he appointed to conduct it, have been probing a conspiracy theory for which there is little if any evidence, according to several people with knowledge of the matter: that a key player in the Russia probe, a professor named Joseph Mifsud, was actually a Western intelligence asset sent to discredit the Trump campaign ‐ and that the CIA, under Brennan, was somehow involved.
Well if there’s no evidence of wrongdoing, then Brennan has nothing to worry about.
But I suspect there is more to this considering that, according to court records, Mifsud’s cell phones are now in the possession of the DOJ.

[The Hill] Black lawmakers on Capitol Hill slammed President Trump for an explosive tweet Tuesday that compared Democrats’ impeachment investigation to a "lynching," conjuring a dark chapter in the nation’s history targeting African Americans.
While Democrats widely condemned Trump’s language, it was personal and hurtful for members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC). Who historically suffered at the hands of Democrats
House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) called Trump a "racist" who is "unfit to serve," while Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.), a civil rights activist who founded a chapter of the Black Panthers in the 1960s, called on Trump to delete the offensive tweet.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Rush tweeted. "Do you know how many people who look like me have been lynched, since the inception of this country, by people who look like you. Delete this tweet."
House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.), a former CBC chairman and the No. 3 Democrat in leadership, said he wants the full House to vote on a resolution condemning Trump’s lynching comments.

Charles Lynch was a Virginia Quaker,[7]:23ff planter, and American Revolutionary who headed a county court in Virginia which imprisoned Loyalist supporters of the British for up to one year during the war. Although he lacked proper jurisdiction for detaining these persons, he claimed this right by arguing wartime necessity. Subsequently, he prevailed upon his friends in the Congress of the Confederation to pass a law that exonerated him and his associates from wrongdoing. He was concerned that he might face legal action from one or more of those he had imprisoned, notwithstanding the American Colonies had won the war. This action by the Congress provoked controversy, and it was in connection with this that the term "Lynch law", meaning the assumption of extrajudicial authority, came into common parlance in the United States. Lynch was not accused of racist bias. He acquitted blacks accused of murder on three separate occasions.[8][9] He was accused, however, of ethnic prejudice in his abuse of Welsh miners. - wiki

Hypocrisy matters to conservatives, but it doesn't matter to the left who simply judge if things make them feel good or bad. in this case the word lynching makes them feel bad and attacking Trump makes them feel good.
[AlAhram] Officials in Burkina Faso ...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other... say attacks in the past few days have killed at least 19 civilians in the West African nation's northern region where Islamic turbans are gaining ground.
That would be the Group for Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM), the current name of the regional affiliate of Al Qaeda in North Africa, once upon a time known as Ansar ul Islam.
North Central Regional Councilor Adama Sawadogo says gunnies attacked Zoura village in Bam province overnight Sunday into Monday, killing at least nine civilians. He says a weekend attack on a funeral in Boulga village in Sanmatenga province killed at least four people. Another attack in Loroum province killed six.
Officials also say four soldiers and a policeman were killed Friday night in two attacks in the north.
Burkina Faso's border with Mali is increasingly insecure as Islamic turbans spill into the once-peaceful country.
[Babylon Bee] Strapped for cash and failing in ratings, CNN has discovered an innovative new way to cut costs: simply rerunning articles from a year or two ago and replacing the phrase "Russian collusion" with an updated term, "Ukrainian scandal."
"This is a green, Earth-friendly way to recycle news stories," said a CNN rep. "We have discovered a completely carbon-neutral way to produce indefinitely renewable outrage."
CNN technical experts simply searched their website for any article about the Russian collusion hoax and replaced all references to Russia with references to Ukraine.
Leftists have praised CNN's move, saying it is the most environmentally conscious way to report news stories. "Other news organizations are spending lots of resources and generating a ton of carbon by actually reporting on things that really happened," said one climate activist. "But CNN recycles their wild conspiracy theories every couple years, allowing us to reuse our old, beat-up sense of outrage for years to come."
CNN spokespeople say they look forward to recycling the stories with whatever new reason for impeachment they drum up well into Trump's second term.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The UN says that nearly two weeks after The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... launched its offensive in northeast Syria more than 176,000 people have been displaced, including nearly 80,000 children, and "critical infrastructure has been damaged."
UN front man Stephane Dujarric said Tuesday that power lines have been damaged, reportedly affecting at least four medical facilities.
He said the Alouk water station, which serves over 400,000 people in al-Hassakah city and surrounding displacement camps, has received temporary repairs and generators are now being used to supply safe water for the population in the area.
Dujarric told news hounds at the UN headquarters in New York that Imran Riza, the UN humanitarian coordinator in Syria, said after visiting the northeast that he was grateful UN appeals for humanitarian access were successful and water was restored, "averting more serious humanitarian problems."
[DAWN] Chile’s corpse count has risen to 11, authorities said on Monday, after three days of violent demonstrations and looting that saw President Sebastian Pinera claim the country was "at war".
Almost 1,500 people were detained in the worst outbreak of social unrest in decades while the capital Santiago was placed under curfew for two nights running.
"We are at war against a powerful, implacable enemy, who does not respect anything or anyone and is willing to use violence and crime without any limits," Pinera told news hounds on Sunday after an emergency meeting with army general Javier Iturriaga, who has been placed in charge of order and security in the capital.
Karla Rubilar, the governor of the Santiago region, said eight people had died on Sunday and three on Saturday ‐ all in the Santiago metropolitan area.
[Sudan Tribune] Unusually heavy seasonal flooding has affected large areas of South Sudan’s Greater Upper Nile region with estimated between 600,000-800,000 people affected, authorities said.
As of late October, Ayod, Maban, Mayom, Nyirol, Pibor and Uror were reportedly among the counties most heavily affected by floods.
According to OCHA, Based on assessments already conducted in affected areas, and in line with experience from previous floods in South Sudan, critical needs include access to safe drinking water, anti-malarial and other basic drugs, and plastic sheets to be used as temporary shelters for families with damaged or destroyed houses.
"The degradation or loss of crops and other sources of livelihoods can cause longer-term humanitarian needs and reduce food security in the following year. The scale of the impacts on the late-2019 harvest needs to be determined," partly reads OCHA’s report.
It added, "The high water level in some flooded areas is constraining vulnerable people’s physical access to basic services and restricting humanitarians’ ability to assess and respond to needs".

[Sudan Tribune] The National Umma Party (NUP) led by Sadiq al-Mahdi, on Monday welcomed Qatar’s readiness to support the Sudanese government’s efforts to achieve peace during the transitional period.
In a recent visit to Khartoum earlier this month, Mutlaq al-Qahtani Qatar’s Special Envoy for Conflict Resolutions announced his country readiness to support Sudan and to use its regional and international relations to achieve peace, stability and development.
Further, in a meeting with the Sudanese Foreign Minister on Sunday, Qatari Ambassador to Khartoum Abdul Rahman Al-Kubaisi reaffirmed his country’s desire to enhance cooperation with Sudan in all fields, especially investment.
"The National Umma Party welcomes this expected position from the brothers in Qatar," said a statement released on Monday evening.
"The party renews its call and appeal to brothers and friends to support the transitional period and provide assistance to peace processes and democratic transition," further said the statement.
The NUP is one of the major groups of the Forces for Freedom and Change that back Hamdok’s government. Also, it is part of the Sudan Call alliance which gathers the NUP, the armed groups under the banner of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front and the Sudanese Congress Party.
[AlAhram] Egypt's interior ministry says it has arrested 22 members of the terrorist-designated Moslem Brüderbund group for inciting people against the state following the widely publicised murder of teen Mahmoud El-Banna.
The suspects had used the recent murder of the teenager in the governorate of Menoufiya to "incite the public against the state," the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
The killing earlier this month of El-Banna by another teenager after El-Banna stood up for a girl that the assailant was harassing sparked public outcry in Egypt in recent weeks.
The ministry said that the suspects who were arrested for inciting aimed to "provoke chaos and riots, block roads and disrupt traffic" in front of a court room in Shebin El-Koum where a trial session of the accused murderer was held in Menoufiya in the Nile Delta, the statement added.
The suspects were arrested in possession of inciting posters, melee weapons, two replica pistols and a replica machine gun, it added.

[DAWN] A drone-like flying taxi whirred over Singapore's waterfront on Tuesday, with the firm behind the test hoping the aircraft will revolutionise travel in traffic-choked Asian cities.
The 18 propeller vehicle, developed by German firm Volocopter and with a pilot onboard for safety during the test flight, took off from a promontory and flew for about two minutes and 30 seconds around the Marina Bay district.
Heavy rains in the morning almost delayed the flight, but the skies cleared in time for the battery-operated, two-seater taxi to quietly fly past skyscrapers.
While the hover-taxis ‐ resembling small helicopters but powered by drone-like technology ‐ are autonomous, there was a pilot inside during the test for safety reasons.
Volocopter has already conducted tests in Dubai, Helsinki, Germany and Las Vegas but the Singapore trial is the company's first in the heart of a city.
The orderly metropolis is likely to be among the first to get the service, with a commercial rollout expected in two to four years, and Volocopter then hopes to introduce the vehicles in traffic-clogged Asian cities.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Protesters began gathering in Riad Al Solh Square in Beirut on Tuesday morning as nationwide demonstrations in Leb continued for the sixth day.
The Lebanese army opened several highways and issued orders banning road blockades in the country.
On Monday night, the first signs of potential sectarian tensions appeared as Hezbollah and Amal supporters on cycle of violences drove to central Beirut and tried to disrupt the protests. However, there's more than one way to skin a cat... they were pushed back by the Lebanese army, which has promised to protect protesters, and the disruption was limited.
Protesters have presented a united front and informally banned any symbols except for the Lebanese national flag and the flag of the Lebanese Armed Forces.
Earlier in the day the Lebanese government under Prime Minister Saad Hariri ...Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005. He has was prime minister in his own right from 2009 through early 2011. He was born in Riyadh to an Iraqi mother and graduated from Georgetown University. He managed his father's business interests in Riyadh until his father's assassination. When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too.... agreed a package of long-stalled reforms to try to ease an economic crisis and defuse the biggest protests against the ruling elite in decades. The cabinet approved a 2020 state budget that does not impose any new taxes on individuals and aims for a deficit of 0.6 percent of GDP, down from a previous target of around 7 percent.
The cabinet measures appeared to have little effect as protesters call for the overthrow of the entire government.
Protests began on Thursday, sparked by a proposed fee on WhatsApp calls and a raise in the price of cigarettes against a backdrop of widespread corruption, political deadlock, and a worsening economic situation including an alleged shortage of dollars.
[AnNahar] A man claiming to be a Shiite Moslemholy man has been arrested for distributing money to protesters in downtown Beirut, the army said on Tuesday.
"A force from the Intelligence Directorate arrested Mohammed Ali Tarshishi for claiming to be a holy man and distributing money of an unknown source to protesters in the city of Beirut," an army statement said.
"The detainee is being interrogated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities," the military added.
The man had appeared in videos circulated on Monday.
[Rudaw] At least 157 protesters were killed during the protests which swept Iraq earlier this month, a report published by the Human Rights Office of the United Nationals Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) confirmed on Tuesday. It put the number of injured at 5,494.
The report came just hours after the Iraqi government published its own findings, which put the corpse count at 107, the majority of them killed by gunshots to the head and chest.
The Iraqi investigative committee confirmed security forces used live ammunition, snipers, and tear gas to target protesters, while some demonstrators used Molotov cocktails against security forces.
Protesters in Baghdad told Rudaw English at the height of the violence that snipers were targeting them. The report confirms snipers were stationed in building in both al-Kilani square and near al-Nakhil mall in Baghdad.
The report revealed that around 70 percent of the protesters killed during the unrest were shot either in the head or chest ‐ indicating the snipers were shooting to kill.
"The majority of the protesters were between the age of 15 and 25," the report said.
Mass protests against corruption, unemployment, and the lack of basic services started in Baghdad on October 1, with security forces using live ammunition, rubber bullets, tear gas, and sniper rounds to disperse the crowd. Curfews were also imposed on city centers and internet services cut across the country’s south.
According to the report, the Iraqi government did not order security forces in any Iraqi province to open fire on protesters with live ammunition.
"The order of shooting at protesters or using live ammunition against them did not come from the Iraqi government," the report states, without indicating who gave the order.
Some protesters who spoke to Rudaw English on October 6 said an Iran-backed militia called Saraya al- Khorasani fired on them with live ammunition.
Saraya al-Khorasani is one of dozens of militias that make up Iraq’s security forces but often act independently or under the radar of official command.
The Iraqi committee's report offered a set of recommendations for the government. It called for the sacking of the head of Baghdad Operations Command, the commander of 11 Infantry Division, the head of first Division of Federal Police, and the head of Baghdad Police.
Iraq’s Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi established the committee on October 13.
Abdul-Mahdi also issued a set of reforms that were focusing on providing jobs and housing for the unemployed and families living in rented accommodation.
However, the hip bone's connected to the leg bone... protesters have vowed to resume their demonstrations on Friday.

[BIZPACREVIEW] Did Sen. Elizabeth Being Native American has been part of my story since the day I was born Warren ...Dem Senatrix from Massachussetts, who traces her noble lineage all the way back to Big Chief Spouting Bull. It has been alleged that she speaks with forked tongue but she denies that. She had a DNA test to prove her lineage and it turns out she's colorless... , D-Mass., just touch one of the third rails of American politics?
Speaking with news hounds in Iowa, the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate stated that if she becomes president, cutting off U.S. aid to Israel is a very real possibility if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not stop building settlements in the West Bank.
Warren was asked if she would make U.S. aid conditional on settlement building and she was unequivocal in saying that "everything is on the table." So quid pro quo with a side hit of threat of military action
Democrats are searching for quid pro quo, how’s that fit the bill?
"Right now Netanyahu says that he’s going to take Israel in a direction of increasing settlements," she said. "That does not move us toward a two-state solution."
"It is the official policy of the United States of America to support a two-state solution, and if Israel is moving in the opposite direction, then everything is on the table," said the hard-left progressive.
Sen. Bernie Sanders ...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being a socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around... , I-Vt., has also expressed support for using U.S. aid to pressure the Israeli government.
During an interview for the popular podcast "Pod Save America," Sanders was asked if he would consider using American aid as leverage to get the Israeli government to act differently, Haaretz reported.
"Absolutely," Sanders replied in the July interview.
Another hard-left progressive candidate running for president, Sanders tied U.S. aid to Israel with Netanyahu denying entry to Reps. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich, and Ilhan Omar ...Somali-American Dem representative from Minnesota. She is apparently married to her brother and may be her own grandmaw on her mother's side... , D-Minn.
Omar and Tlaib, the first two Moslem women elected to Congress, have a rich history of antisemitism.
"But the idea that a member of the United States Congress cannot visit a nation which, by the way, we support to the tune of billions and billions of dollars, is clearly an outrage," Sanders said. "And if Israel doesn’t want members of the United States Congress to visit their country to get a firsthand look at what’s going on ‐ and I’ve been there many, many times ‐ but if he doesn’t want members to visit, maybe he can respectfully decline the billions of dollars that we give to Israel."

They only talk about Kurds, or Ukraine - "ambassador X told me that he overheard two cafeteria workers discussing Trump's pressuring Ukrainian president (Who is, by the way, a Jew - you didn't even notice that!) to admit that Joe Biden inappropriately touched the Prez's secretary." Or Pierre Delecto. Or, whatishername sharing a mistress with her husband.

About time. I hate Warren but she's not wrong here. The USA should not be giving aid of any kind to developed First World countries. That includes Europe.

#6 - our bleating fool doesn't bother to look at the numbers - last numbers (2017) - it's 80% Mil Aid (grants) which they use to defend themselves with purchases of our weapons and doing our dirty work, the rest goes to "Food for Peace (loans & grants); Export-Import Bank aid; Housing Loans; Cooperative Development aid; missile defense; and, others"
Now Herb has an obsession against defending the US abroad, so it's no surprise he especially doesn't want a US Ally (and Juices, too!) to get any

This is really bad, because she is sooooo nuts, and her policies are sooooo contrary to mainstream, and now even corporate American fellow travelers, that the Democrat establishment, already in panic moade at what they see as the clown parade, will turn to the Obama's with offers so lucrative, they will bend and send in the Wookie. Trump should be unbeatable, but he is so worn down in the public eye with false accusations and his own intemperate responses at times that they have a fair chance of winning with the Wookie. The policies and focus on fixing and saving America first are powerful talking points for a re-eoection, but he just can't stop stupid and needless counterpunching, missing the strategic value of being a bit more even tempered.
[DAWN] Defeating murderous Moslems in Idlib is the key to ending Syria's eight-year-old civil war, Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Trampler of Homs... said on Tuesday on his first visit to the embattled northwestern region since 2011.
"The battle of Idlib is the basis for resolving chaos and terrorism in all other areas of Syria," Assad's office quoted him as telling troops in the frontline town of al-Hbeit.
It published a picture of the president surrounded by troops dressed in military fatigues, with maps hanging behind them.
His comments came as Syrian troops continued to deploy in parts of the north where they are supporting Kurdish forces to contain a Ottoman Turkish invasion, according to state news agency SANA.
Assad denounced Ottoman Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan as a thief for attacking the northeast of his country and reiterated a pledge to retake all areas lost to Damascus in years of civil war.
"Erdogan is a thief and is now stealing our land," state media quoted Assad as saying.
After turning the tide of the war, Assad's forces now control around 60 per cent of the country and the president has repeatedly vowed to return all of it to his control, including Idlib.
The Idlib region, which has some three million residents, half of them displaced from other parts of the country, is the last major rebel bastion in Syria.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... ‐ an alliance led by Syria's former Al Qaeda affiliate ‐ extended its administrative control over the whole of Idlib in January, but other rebel factions remain present.
In April, the Syrian government and its Russian allies launched an intensified bombardment of the region.
In August, government troops began a ground offensive that saw them retake several areas in southern Idlib, including the town of al-Hbeit, which was among the first to fall.
An August 31 ceasefire brokered by Russia largely halted air strikes and festivities with heavy weapons, but skirmishes persist, according to the Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
[DAWN] JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman ...Deobandi holy man, known as Mullah Diesel during the war against the Soviets, his sympathies for the Taliban have never been tempered by honesty... on Tuesday said that among the various options being entertained by the opposition in their anti-government 'Azadi March' campaign is the "resignation from assemblies" by opposition politicians.
In a press briefing to foreign media outlets, Rehman said that the JUI-F will not follow the "126-day model" of the incumbent government and "will not tire its workers by having them sit indefinitely on some open ground".
"If we are able to reach Islamabad, our action plan will be different and if we are prevented from doing so, it will take a different direction," he said, adding, "It will then take the form of a 'fill the jails' movement."
The JUI-F chief, however, clarified that his party will not clash with any state institution. "Our fight will be carried out within the scope of the limits outlined within the Constitution."
The JUI-F chief remarked that the country's institutions "should remain non-partisan". "No state institution should ever blindly lend their support to the government."

[NYPOST] Team Trump said Tuesday it would not renew subscriptions to the New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... or the Washington Post, two papers whose coverage frequently angers the president, who claims they are "fake news."
Trump on Monday told Fox News’ Sean Hannity ‐ a fervent backer of the president ‐ that "we don’t even want it in the White House anymore," referring to the Times.
"We’re going to probably terminate that and the Washington Post," Trump said. "They’re fake."
White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham confirmed to Politico that "we won’t be renewing."
Earlier this year in an Oval Office interview with Times news hounds and the paper’s publisher, the president complained that he wasn’t treated fairly.
"Everybody thinks the New York Times treats me terribly. Washington Post also, but the New York Times even more so treats me unbelievably terribly," Trump said.

[DAWN] Kurdish forces are continuing to withdraw in northeast Syria but The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... will resume its military assault there once a United States-brokered ceasefire expires on Tuesday if promises given by Washington are not kept, President Tayyip Erdogan said.
A five-day pause in Turkey's cross-border military offensive to allow the withdrawal of Kurdish YPG fighters from the border area expires at 10pm (local time) on Tuesday.
Turkey says Kurdish YPG militia forces must leave a "safe zone" it wants to establish along its border with northeast Syria. Ankara views the YPG as gunnies with links to Kurdish bully boyz operating in southeast Turkey.
"The withdrawal is continuing," Erdogan told news hounds at Ankara airport before flying to Russia for talks with President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Trump ordered the funds for what is formally known as the Syria Civil Defense group "to continue United States support for the organization’s important and highly valued work in the country," spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham says in a statement.
[Rudaw] Two senior Kurdistan Communities Group (KCK), under whose umbrella Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) falls, were killed while on Mount Azmar overlooking the city of Sulaimani, Kurdistan Region’s Asayesh (Security) announced on Tuesday following an investigation.
On October 15, Rudaw reported a kaboom occurring atop Mount Azmar, which is a popular destination for tourists and spot to drink alcohol and take photos.
Initially, Sulaimani’s security forces labeled it a kaboom and did not allow media to go to the scene. On Tuesday, they provided more details, stating that it was a assassination of senior PKK members.
"On October 15, 2019, between hours 17:10 to 17:15, two senior cadres of the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) named Jameel and Demhat, atop Mount Azmar in a tourist location among civilians, were barbarically targeted," Kurdistan Region’s Asayesh Agency announced in a statement on Tuesday.
Following "sophisticated and dense investigations" on the "scene of the crime", they uncovered the identity of the targeted to be members of the KCK, an umbrella group under which PKK and its affiliated groups fall.
"While they had gone into that area without notifying the relevant authorities of the Kurdistan Region, they were targeted by a Ottoman Turkish drone while among civilians and in the city of Sulaimani at a tourist location," added the Asayesh.
"This is a dangerous violation, initiative and development that in no way serves shared security and co-existence," it added.
While condemning the transgression, Asayesh also called on everyone not to use the Kurdistan Region’s or Iraq’s soil to attack neighboring countries.
Kurdistan Region’s airspace is controlled by Iraq’s civil aviation authority, and even radars stationed in the region belong to Iraq. The security agency, however, vowed to keep protecting the people.
After the Asayesh statement, KCK released their own, confirming the liquidation of its members, identified as Demhat Ageed (born Sayidxan Ayaz) and Jameel Ahmed (Asar Ermak).
"The Ottoman Turkish state, through this genocide, attacked the will and spirit of national unity in all the four parts of Kurdistan. Both of our comrades, through their national and political work, always tried to strengthen the unity between Kurdish forces," KCK said.
It claimed that international and regional forces, and their "despicable partners" including spies in the area, were responsible for the liquidation.
KCK called on the Sulaimani and regional governments to "reveal" the plot against its members and "reject and condemn" The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... 's actions.
"This genocide is in parallel with the attacks on Rojava [northern Syria]. This indicates that the Ottoman Turkish occupier attacks the Kurdish nation wherever it is," added the KCK.
Turkey’s defense ministry announced on the day the Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... took place that they had killed two PKK members in the Gara Region.
"As a result of a coordinated action between the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces and National Intelligence Agency [MIT] in northern Iraq’s Gara region, two members of the PKK terrorist organization were neutralized in an airstrike," Turkey’s National Defense Ministry had said on October 15.

[DAWN] Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) prosecutor Kashif Javed was allegedly attacked by three unidentified persons in Lahore, according to a first information report (FIR) lodged on Tuesday.
Javed, who is the legal counsel of the ANF in a case against PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah, has claimed that an unknown person had been following him from court to his residence for the past few days, which has posed a "continuous harassment and threat to [his] life".
The prosecutor said that he had informed bigwigs about the matter.
Javed told the police that, on Monday night, a white Corolla first blocked his passage and then purposefully rammed into his car on Lahore's main Gulberg road "very dangerously", damaging the front side of his car. He added that one of the three people in the Corolla had gotten off and was advancing towards Javed but expeditiously departed at a goodly pace after people started to gather at the scene.
The prosecutor urged the police to take "stern legal action" against the culprits.
Sanaullah, who is a PML-N member of the National Assembly, was arrested by the ANF in July in what is said to be a narcotics case involving proscribed outfits. According to ANF officials, drugs had been recovered from the former Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard

[IsraelTimes] The International Judo Federation announces the "final" suspension of Iran’s judo association from competitions and other activities over its boycott of Israeli athletes.
In a statement posted to its website, the IJF says the suspension will remain in place until the Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... Judo Federation "gives strong guarantees and proves that they will respect the IJF Statutes and accept that their athletes fight against Israeli athletes."
The Iran Judo Federation now has 21 days to appeal the decision.
The ruling upholds the suspension of Iran announced by the IJF last month.
That suspension came after Iranian judoka Saeid Mollaei left the national team in protest of its policy of boycotting Israeli athletes. Mollaei said he was instructed to throw a match at the World Championships in Tokyo over the summer to avoid facing Israel’s Sagi Muki.
[NYPOST] The acting US ambassador to Ukraine testified that he was told that the release of US military aid to the country was dependent on Ukraine publicly vowing to investigate Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... and his son as well as the 2016 election, a new report said Tuesday.
Testimony from William Taylor contradicted President Trump’s denial that there was a quid pro quo and that he used the nearly $400 million as leverage for personal political gain, the Washington Post reported.
Taylor walked politicians through conversations he had with other US diplomats who were trying to obtain what one called the "deliverable" of Ukrainian help investigating Trump’s political rivals, according to an opening statement obtained by the paper.
Taylor said he spoke to Ambassador Gordon Sondland, the US envoy to the EU.
"During that phone call, Amb. Sondland told me that President Trump had told him that he wants President [Volodymyr] Zelensky to state publicly that Ukraine will investigate Burisma and alleged Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election," Taylor said in the statement.
"Amb. Sondland also told me that he now recognized that he had made a mistake by earlier telling the Ukrainian officials to whom he spoke that a White House meeting with President Zelensky was dependent on a public announcement of investigations ‐ in fact, Amb. Sondland said, ’everything’ was dependent on such an announcement, including security assistance," Taylor told House Sherlocks.

Is quid pro quo in such circumstances against the law? I mean, if the president is concerned that an American citizen is involved in corrupt activities in a foreign country, wouldn't it be wise for the president to seek some assurance that vast amounts of money meant for legitimate military aid to the country will not be used to line the pockets of corrupt individuals?

Schifferbrains selectively leaking little tidbits to make Trump look bad but withholding exculpatory information, as is his modus operandi. There is nothing else he can do. Forget Thanksgiving. Forget Christmas. He'll drag this shitshow out until November 2020 while his MSM allies follow merrily along for maximum propaganda effect. But after that he will no longer be the Intelligence Committee chairman.
"Oh, we've really got him this time," is what they've been saying since January 2017 and even before then.

the younger brother of the Manchester Arena jacket wallah, pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." Tuesday to 22 counts of murder in connection to the attack.
Salman Abedi
...one of the more notable members of the Manchester Libyan jihadi crowd. The parental generation ties back to the al-Qaeda-aligned Libyan Islamic Fighting Group in the 1990s, while the kids pledged to the even more romantic ISIS. Not that it makes much difference in the end — the networks overlap personnel-wise, it’s just a matter of the name on the checking account paying their expenses...
detonated a boom jacket as fans began leaving a concert by US singer Ariana Grande in Manchester, northwest England, on May 22, 2017.
Twenty-two people were killed and 260 others were maimed.
Hashem Abedi appeared at the Old Bailey in London, England’s central criminal court.
Raised in Manchester, he traveled to Libya ahead of the attack. The 22-year-old was arrested in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... and extradited to Britannia in July this year.
He appeared in court wearing spectacles, a grey sweatshirt, and a burgundy t-shirt.
It took six minutes for him to register not guilty pleas to each of the 22 murder counts.
Abedi was remanded in jug at the top-security Belmarsh prison in southeast London.
His trial, expected to last up to eight weeks, was due to start in mid-November but was rescheduled to begin on January 13.
[AMGREATNESS] In Texas, a jury ruled against a father who was trying to prevent one of his sons from undergoing a "gender transition" process, according to the Daily Wire.
Eleven of the twelve jurors ruled against Jeffrey Younger as he was trying to gain sole custody of his twin sons from his ex-wife Anne Georgulas, who is trying to force one of the boys, James, to take puberty blockers.
As a result of the ruling, the father will be forced to agree to the boy’s new "gender identity," including his female name Luna. Speaking on a podcast after the ruling, Younger said that this constitutes "not just emotional abuse but...the most fundamental form of sexual abuse, tampering with the sexual identity of a vulnerable boy."
As court documents show, Georgulas forces James to wear women’s clothing whenever the boy stays with her, and enrolled James in school as "Luna." Younger says that whenever the boy stays with him, he "violently refuses to wear girl’s clothes."
Both parents have accused the other of child abuse in the case, with Georgulas accusing Younger of child abuse by "not affirming James as transgender," and Younger accusing Georgulas of locking James in his room until he agreed to "transition," as well as "only giving him love and affection when he was acting like a girl."
With Georgulas now on the verge of sole custody, James may undergo "chemical castration" by next year, when he is only eight years old. I suppose the poor kid can always get a job singing in the Vatican choir. The world needs more countertenors. I really do hope there's a hell, so his mother can burn in it.
Going by the literature I’ve seen around transgenders, the odds are high the poor boy will be dead by his own hand before he is old enough to vote.

Yes, but instead of hanging, the convicted will be surgically rendered completely androgynous, forbidden to ascribe any gender to themselves and banned from all men's and women's rest rooms.

I think we should take this 7 year old, give him two shots of tequila and take him out for a face tattoo.
Or we could remove his legs at the thigh and turn them around so we can see what a 'reverse knee chair' would look like.
Perhaps attach some baby arms to his abdomen which will mimic the motions of his first arms, dye his skin red, and cast him in the next remake of Total Recall.
Or maybe just shoot him up with heroin and give him a box of razors.
Because all of those suggestions are not nearly as permanent as what the wife and jury are advocating. These people are fvcking sick.
As far as a seven year old's opinion anyways, get back to me when you know Bailey's or Jameson in the coffee...no, whether the Batman on your underpants is chaotic good or chaotic neutral...jeez whether pineapple belongs on a pizza, that pushing stuffed animals under the bed is cleaning your room or not.
As for 'mom', chemical castration is such an out. She should be handed the scalpel and make the slice and dice if she is so sure, so loving of the boy's future that he should be made a eunuch before learning how to make raman noodles; krikes before knowing how to make a bowl of cereal without making a mess.
Going by the literature I’ve seen around transgenders, the odds are high the poor boy will be dead by his own hand before he is old enough to vote.

Increased democracy brings dystopia. State regulations on family and even some personal choices from a single ideology make for a stable society, disciplined polity and generally content folks.
Abandoning the judeo-christian code in favour of faux-humanist interest litigation, theories of adamant academics and mushroom fueled lunatics has cost America dearly. I doubt people will ever find their way back to normalcy, let alone God.

[Libya Observer] A former Russian journalist may be among dozens of Russian mercenaries believed to have died while fighting in Libya, the Moscow Times reported on Monday.
The newspaper pointed out that more than 100 Russian mercenaries arrived in Libya early September and that about 35 of them were killed in an Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... later that month.
The report also clarified that a former journalist named "Yevgeny Ilyubayev" was among the victims of the airstrike, as confirmed by an acquaintance.
It added that the Russian government does not recognize private military contractors nor does it count their dead.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Britannia’s departure from the Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... an Union was thrown into chaos on Tuesday after parliament rejected Prime Minister Boris Johnson ...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies.... ’s extremely tight timetable for ratifying his exit deal.
Ahead of the vote, Johnson had warned parliament that if it defeated him on the timetable and forced a delay until January then he would abandon his attempt to ratify the deal and push for an election instead under the slogan of "Get Brexit Done."
Johnson was on Saturday forced by opponents into the humiliation of asking the EU for a delay beyond Oct. 31 that he had vowed he would never seek. The European Council president Donald Tusk said he is taking the request seriously.
Lawmakers voted 322 to 308 against the so-called Programme Motion which set out a three-day schedule to rush his deal through the House of Commons.
Earlier, politicians voted 329 to 299 in favour of the second reading of his 115-page Withdrawal Agreement Bill, a significant boost for Johnson just five days after he struck a last-minute deal with the EU.

Never? I'm not so sure. Especially if/when/eventually Britain goes, I would expect to see a preference cascade for leaving. A number of the lesser EU states seem a bit upset over the migration thing, the ones with the large populations that keep getting smeared as right-wing populists.
If not actual leaving, expect a re-negotiation of terms.
[NYPOST] Human brains grown in labs could be experiencing "endless horror" with a conscious existence but no body, according to worried scientists.
Green Neuroscience Lab researchers are warning that, although no one has proven that lab-grown brains are sentient, the risk could be too great to continue using them.
The blobs of tissue are often referred to as mini-brains or "organoids." More testing would be needed in order to prove their sentience, which just means if something has the capacity to feel, perceive or personally experience the world around it.
The mini-brains are only pea-sized and have brainwave patterns similar to those of premature babies.
Many scientists believe the mini-brains have the potential to transform medicine and what we know about the brain.
However, a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all... they’re controversial because the line between medical research and human experimentation is unclear.
Elan Ohayon, director of the Green Neuroscience Laboratory, told The Guardian: "If there’s even a possibility of the organoid being sentient, we could be crossing that line.
"We don’t want people doing research where there is potential for something to suffer."
The researchers will deliver a speech about the risks of using mini-brains for experiments at the Society for Neuroscience in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... They think more debate is needed before lumps of brain continue to be grown in labs and, in some cases, inserted into animals.
Studying the live human brain is extremely difficult but organoids have allowed scientists to conduct invaluable research into conditions like schizophrenia and autism.
However, a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all... Ohayon wants funding for research that involves even the smallest chance of an organoid becoming sentient to stop.
Ohayon explained: "We’re already seeing activity in organoids that is reminiscent of biological activity in developing animals."
He has developed computer models to support his theory but has urged for more work on the subject.

[Libya Observer] Mortar shelling by Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all... 's forces on Salah al-Deen buildings has killed two girls and injured a third child - all siblings - identical sources reported on Tuesday.

Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... , the sources added.
This is the second crime against children in two weeks by Haftar's forces. The first was an Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... on a house in Fernaj neighborhood in Tripoli that killed three girls and injured their fourth sister and their mother.
Meanwhile, ...back at the pie fight, Bella grabbed the cocoanut cream... Volcano of Rage Operation's media office said on Facebook that "warlord Haftar's militias and their mercenaries shelled the house in Salah al-Deen at dawn."
It added that the shelling on Salah al-Deen coincided with another mortar attack and two airstrikes on Tripoli's Mitiga Airport without causing any noticeable damage.
[DAWN] A team of foreign diplomats posted in Pakistain were taken to the Neelum Valley in Azad Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. (AJK) to witness firsthand whether the Indian army had "smashed four terror launch pads" there early Sunday, Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said in a tweet on Tuesday.
The diplomats were taken to the Nauseri, Shahkot and Jura sectors near the Line of Control (LoC), as well as the Nausada village, which has suffered severe damage in attacks by Indian troops. The trip was arranged so they can verify for themselves the claims made by Indian army chief Gen Bipin Rawat.
Inter-Services Public Relations Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor briefed the diplomats and media persons about the situation in the area. The visitors were also shown remains of the artillery shells that allegedly fired by the Indian troops from across the LoC.

Apparently they kill off most of the remaining characters anyone cares about.
But there's no guarantee the trailer will have any relation to the released movie, as apparently they're still shooting, trying to make something that doesn't suck.

Laughed my ass of at the bombing scene. Sure that wasn't what they were going for. Space Leia should have been her death, with a good old fashion Total Recall eye bug out.
I enjoyed Rogue One; though I couldn't tell you any character names.
I was dared to watch Solo - my check liver light came on 2/3rds through. I made it through Frogtown II, so.
Now, in my opinion they could save the franchise. Instead of running a series of focus groups vs. a ticket sales/save the universe matrix:
Release the movie straight to DVD (or streaming, whatever). Now, they have enough footage for six different endings and from what I've heard, I believe it. Make it a Choose Your Own Adventure. Then release the theatrical official version, add some bonus scenes not in the home version. Make it interactive, and crowd sourced.

[LI] Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has vowed to "use force" to protect the country’s borders after Turkey threatened to unleash a wave of immigrants into Europe, French TV network Euronews reported.
The statement came after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s threatened to "open the gates and send 3.6 million" migrants over to Europe.
"If Turkey sets off further hundreds of thousands on top of this, then we will need to use force to protect the Hungarian border and the Serbian-Hungarian frontier and I do not wish for anyone that we should need to resort to that," Prime Minister Orbán said.
President Erdogan threatened to open up the floodgates and swarm Europe with migrants after European leaders criticized Turkey for launching a military offensive against the Kurdish forces in neighboring Syria. Following the U.S. troops withdrawal, the Turkish army invaded northern Syria to target the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The U.S.-allied SDF, a coalition of Kurdish, Assyrian Christians, and Arabs fighters, played a key role in pushing back the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq.

No names or photographs were provided of the hijackers. One was a 32 years man and 25 year old woman. Could they have been left-wing terrorists or Muslim terrorists? Just saying.

Guess the hate is more than a little selective.
As far as I can tell, they love that Israel is an ethno-state standing up violently to the encroaching Muslim menace. The neo-Nazi types still hate Joooos, who are seen as safe to abuse; the merely conservative anti-invasion types, who are labelled as right wing, transfer their admiration for Israel to their local Jewish community, which often to their bewilderment does not look past the label.

[Dhaka Tribune] Secularism as a modern concept is aligned with the concepts of equality, freedom, and democracy. Secularism anywhere in the world works is the antidote to communalism, which is required to check the growth of religious fundamentalism and inter-religious conflicts.
The function of secularism is also to eradicate the persecution of religious minorities, promote cultural pluralism, religious freedom, and establish social harmony.
Broadly, there are two types of secularism -- political or assertive secularism which promotes equality and freedom for the religious, and non-religious and contextual, or passive secularism in which government policies are acceptable if their purpose is to eradicate social injustices attributable to religious practices.

Secularism or "dhormo niropekhohta," means neutrality,
Sure, we got Dormammu's pecker. Everybody's got Dormammu's pecker.
Everybody except sunni majority States. For a muslim, 'secularism' is the political prerequisite he needs, to insinuate islam and sharia into a society inherently opposed to its despicable tenets.

[AlAhram] The French government has abandoned its goal of welcoming 100 million foreign visitors in 2020, blaming the impacts of months of anti-government protests and Britannia's looming exit from the EU, the finance ministry said Tuesday.
"La Belle France still aims to have 100 million foreign tourists... nonetheless the goal has been pushed back, given current circumstances, to 2022," the ministry said in a budget document posted online.
The previous Socialist government set the ambitious goal in 2014.
La Belle France remains the world's top tourist destination with 89.4 million visitors last year. But the fierce "yellow vest" protests that erupted last November against President Emmanuel Macron made many tourists think twice as the weekly rallies often degenerated into violence.
In Gay Paree in particular, protesters often clashed in running battles with police, while stores were looted and cars set alight on the famed Champs-Elysees avenue and elsewhere.
That led the authorities to lock down much of the centre of Gay Paree and other major cities on Saturdays, until the protests died down over the summer.
Another factor likely to impact tourism is the weakening of the British pound against the euro as the impact of Brexit is felt across the UK economy.
The Insee statistics office has already reported that the number of overnight stays in tourist accommodation across La Belle France fell by 2.5 percent in the first quarter, with the larger Gay Paree Ile-de-La Belle France region down 4.8 percent.
"Indicators for the first months of 2019 suggest a decline in foreign tourism stays during the first half of the year," the ministry document said Tuesday.
"This trend is explained largely by the nationwide social movements in the country at the beginning of the year, which impacted reservations over the medium and long term," the document said.
It also noted the effect of the pound's decline against the euro, with "the United Kingdom being our biggest source of tourists," it said.
