After Blowing Off Subpoena, FBI Lawyer Lisa Page Will Testify to Congress Friday
[Townhall] After defying a congressional subpoena and refusing to show up for closed door testimony Wednesday, FBI lawyer Lisa Page will testify to lawmakers on Capitol Hill Friday.

The move comes after House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte and House Speaker Paul Ryan threatened to hold her in contempt.

"Late last night through her attorney, Lisa Page did agree to appear for a private interview on Friday voluntarily," Goodlatte said during an interview Thursday morning with Fox Business.

Disruptive passenger forced to reimburse Delta $9,118. for emergency landing
[ABC] Delta Air Lines passenger Bolutife Olorunda was screaming and acting erratically recently on a flight, at which point he was approached by a flight attendant, according to court documents.

Olorunda verbally threatened the flight attendant by saying: "Don't touch me and if you touch me again you will regret it."

Among the 178 people onboard the Boeing 737 aircraft on May 30 were two federal air marshals, according to the complaint. One air marshal protected the cockpit while the other sat next to Olorunda to keep him calm. The captain declared an emergency and diverted the flight to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Olorunda was arrested.

Diversions are often costly to airlines. The additional fuel, rebooking of passengers, fees at the airport and swapping of crews can cause that price to reach in the thousands. Delta Air Lines did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

As part of the guilty plea reached with the U.S. attorney's office in Oklahoma, Olorunda has been ordered to pay Delta Air Lines $9,118 for the cost of the emergency landing, according to court documents. An attorney listed for Olorunda did not respond to a message left at his office by ABC News.

The Washington state man is also facing up to six months in prison, a fine up to $5,000 and additional penalties from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

BREAKING: Goodlatte Says FBI's Peter Strzok Will Be Recalled For Contempt
[Townhall] After a contentious exchange between Democrats and Republicans during a House Judiciary and Oversight Committee hearing on Capitol Hill Thursday, Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte informed FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok he will be recalled later today and voted in contempt.

The move comes after Strzok refused to answer a question from Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy. Gowdy asked Strzok how many people he had interviewed as part of the Special Counsel before discussed impeachment for President Trump. Strzok discussed impeachment of President Trump in a text message to FBI lawyer Lisa Page just one day after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Bob Mueller to lead the Special Counsel Russia investigation.

Could Democrats Nominate Maxine Waters For President? (Answer: Yes)
I'm pretty sure this isn't satire, but by all means - please, pretty please, nominate this woman!
[Los Angeles Dial (?)] - California Congresswoman Maxine Waters could become the Democratic nominee for president in 2020.

Let me repeat that, so it can sink in: Maxine Waters could be the Democratic nominee for president in 2020.

Ok, let me blow into a breathalyzer, take a drug test and get psychologically evaluated before I say it a third time: Maxine Waters could be the Democratic nominee for president in 2020.

How is it possible that a radical congresswoman, who was just called "un-American" by the leadership of her own party for encouraging viral confrontations with Trump administration officials, could win the presidential nomination of a major American political party?

It’s easy. Mad Max is the only one dancing to the beat of the "Resistance," and her album is about to go platinum.

Consider this, after musical icon Prince died in 2016, we learned a bunch of fascinating tidbits about the reclusive singer, including the fact that he had a wildly competitive rivalry with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Stormy Daniels Arrested in Ohio. Avenatti Says Political Desperation. Officers Say Because She Grabbed Female Officer by the Face (with her breasts ....)
Pictures, or it never happened!
Adult film actress Stormy Daniels was arrested in Columbus.
Her clothes could not be immediately found.
That's according to her attorney Michael Avenatti who tweeted the news early Thursday morning.
Knowing Mr. Avenatti, that's probably the only part of what he says about this that you can trust.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was performing at Sirens Adult Entertainment Club on Cleveland Avenue in north Columbus. According to an arrest report, Daniels began dancing around 11:30 Wednesday night. During her performance, officers in the club said they witnessed Daniels using her bare breasts to smack patrons. The officers also said they observed Daniels fondling the breasts of female patrons.
Observed? Perhaps the officers were lashed to a pole?
The report states that when the officers approached the stage, Daniels held the face of the female officer between her breasts.
Officer Mary Praither may have taken one for the city, but she is never going to hear the end of that.
It also says she did the same to a male officer. The report goes on to say Daniels fondled the buttocks and breasts of another officer. At that point, court documents state that a fourth officer exited the club to request assistance to make an arrest.
Because his priapism was getting in the way and would have made the whole thing awkward.
Daniels was arrested by Columbus Police and charged with three counts of "Illegally Operating Sexually Oriented Business - Employee Knowingly Touch Any Patron," according to online court records. She is scheduled to be arraigned in Franklin Municipal Court on Friday morning.
Bill Clinton has offered to defend her based on the definition of the word "Patron".
Police brought Daniels to the Jackson Pike Correctional Facility around 4:30 Thursday morning.
Her clothes were brough in around 5:30.
10TV's Angela An spoke with Daniels' attorney, Michael Avenatti, by phone on Thursday morning. He says her arrest is politically motivated.
Apparently politics isn't the same as it used to be.
"I have reason to believe it was politically motivated. There's no question these officers were undercover at that strip club. They knew my client would be performing there and I find this to be a complete waste of resources," Avenatti said. He tweeted Thursday morning that his client would be canceling her scheduled appearance.
I wonder how many other performers grab patrons' faces with their breasts. Of couse, there aren't many performers built like Stormy . . . .
Back in 2007, Ohio lawmakers passed the Community Defense Act. The law restricts the hours that sexually oriented businesses can operate. It also states that a patron cannot touch a nude or semi-nude dancer in a club anywhere on the premises or in the parking lot. When asked if he knew about the law, Avenatti said, "I'm aware of the law. I think it's a ridiculous use of resources."
Actually, the officers presence in this situation gives law enforcement a lot of leverage.
Daniels was released on a $6,000 bond on Thursday morning.
$6,000 and maybe grabbing the rest of the guys' faces with her breasts maybe?

POTUS rips Soetoro, says he would have stopped Russia's annexation of Crimea
[Washington Examiner] President Trump said Thursday that he would not have allowed Russia's military intervention in Ukraine that allowed it to annex Crimea in 2014, and blamed former President Barack Obama for allowing it to happen.

"Long before I got here, President Obama allowed that to happen," Trump told reporters in Belgium just days before he's set to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "That was on his watch, not on my watch."

"That was on Barack Obama's watch, that was not on Trump's watch," he added.

Government
NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers formally retired on May 4, 2018. Guess what happened on May 23rd, 2018 ?
[NYT - 29 June 2018] WASHINGTON ‐ The National Security Agency has purged hundreds of millions of records logging phone calls and texts that it had gathered from American telecommunications companies since 2015, the agency has disclosed. It had realized that its database was contaminated with some files the agency had no authority to receive.

The agency began destroying the records on May 23, it said in a statement. Officials had discovered "technical irregularities" this year in its collection from phone companies of so-called call record details, or metadata showing who called or texted whom and when, but not what they said.

The agency had collected the data from a system it created under the USA Freedom Act. Congress enacted that law in 2015 to end and replace a once-secret program that had systematically collected Americans’ domestic calling records in bulk. The National Security Agency uses the data to analyze social links between people in a hunt for hidden associates of known terrorism suspects.

The program traces back to a component of the once-secret Stellarwind surveillance program that the Bush administration put in place after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The data collection eventually came to be justified under disputed interpretation of a law known as Section 215 of the Patriot Act and was exposed in 2013 in the leaks by Edward J. Snowden, the former intelligence contractor.

The disclosure caused an uproar, and Congress eventually enacted the Freedom Act to end and replace the program. Under the new system, the bulk data about Americans’ phone calls and texts has instead remained in the hands of telecoms, and the National Security Agency may collect only specific sets of records from it: the phone logs of a surveillance target and of everyone that person has contacted. A judge must also agree that there is reason to suspect the target has links to terrorism.

Under the Freedom Act, the agency took in 151 million call-detail records in 2016 and 534 million such records in 2017, according to government reports.
Emphasis added.

The good populism
h/t Instapundit
Populism is today seen both as a pejorative and positive noun. In fact, in the present age, there are two sorts of populism. Both strains originated in classical times and persisted in the West until today.

One in antiquity was known as the base populism. It involved the unfettered urban "mob," or what the Athenians disapprovingly dubbed the ochlos and the Romans disparagingly called the turba. Such popular movements were spearheaded by the so-called demagogoi ("leaders of the people") or in Roman times the more radical popular tribunes.

These were largely urban movements. Protesters focused on the redistribution of property, radical democratization, taxes on the wealthy, the cancellation of debts, vast increases in public entitlements, and civic employment. The French Revolution and European upheavals of 1848 reflect some of the same themes. Today, Occupy Wall Street, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and the Bernie Sanders phenomenon all stand in the same current. Often, urban intellectuals, aristocrats, and elites‐from the patrician Roman Republican street agitator Publius Clodius Pulcher and the Jacobin Maximilien Robespierre, to present-day billionaires like George Soros and Tom Steyer‐have sought to assist the urban protesters. Perhaps these gentleman- agitators thought they could offer money, prestige, or greater wisdom, thereby channeling and elevating shared populist agendas.

The antithesis to such radical populism was likely thought by ancient conservative historians to be the "good" populism of the past‐and what the contemporary media might call the "bad" populism of the present: the push-back of small property owners and the middle classes against the power of oppressive government, steep taxation, and internationalism, coupled with unhappiness over imperialism and foreign wars and a preference for liberty rather than mandated equality. Think of the second century B.C. Gracchi brothers rather than Juvenal’s "bread-and-circuses" imperial Roman underclass, the American rather than the French Revolution, or the Tea Party versus Occupy Wall Street.

Woman Cries Rape After Man Refuses To Drive Her Home

An upstate New York woman has been charged with false reporting of a crime after police say she claimed she was raped. In reality, she was angry at the man because he wouldn’t give her a ride home.

Jessica Gallagher, 27, met a man on a dating app and told police that he abducted, blindfolded, and raped her. Police say she later admitted that she made up the false rape claim because the man refused to drive her home.

The Strange Career of White Privilege
h/t Instapundit
You hear the phrase "white privilege" nonstop in America these days, as the slogan has transcended the campus and entered popular culture.

...During the civil-rights movement of the 1960s, the nation’s racial tensions were mostly still defined as a binary of a dominant white majority and an often discriminated-against African-American minority.

Years of past prejudice had sparked the idea of affirmative action, or federal reparatory programs accorded to a historically discriminated-against black minority.

However, by the 1980s, owing to new cycles of massive immigration, other minorities likewise explained their own inequality in terms of white-majority oppressors. They lobbied to be included in government reparation programs in job hiring and college admissions.

...Sometimes even slight changes in self-identification have consequences. For the children of intermarried couples, it can be a career-changing decision to evolve from Robert Smith to Robert Garcia Smith (or even better Roberto Garcia Smith) to reflect one’s maternal Latino roots ‐ an effort especially appreciated by universities and employers.

...In some cases, the more desperate have invented minority pedigrees out of whole cloth, like the false but self-serving and opportunistic claim of Senator Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) that she was Native American (on the basis of "high cheekbones" or family mythology), or Professor Ward Churchill’s similar fake Native American get-up that got him hired as a minority at the University of Colorado.

...One of the strangest elements of the American obsession with superficial appearance is the habit of very well connected and affluent whites faulting poor whites for their "white privilege." It has become a sort of rite-of-passage virtue-signaling in which rich, white college students at tony universities damn white privilege and the supposedly racist, nativist, xenophobic, and sexist Trump Neanderthals. With this, they establish their spiritually pure fides or, more practically, earn a sort of insurance policy in case the all-seeing eye of the diversity tower turns its focus on them someday.
And he doesn't even mention "war against men"

Lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels says she was arrested
Washington (AFP via TOI) - Adult film star Stormy Daniels, locked in a court battle with President Donald Trump over their alleged affair, was arrested Wednesday while performing at a strip club in what her lawyer described as a "politically motivated" setup.

Daniels was arrested at a club in Columbus, Ohio while performing an act she has done at nearly 100 strip clubs across America, Michael Avenatti wrote on Twitter.

He said Daniels was arrested for allegedly allowing a customer to touch her in a non-sexual way while on stage.

"This was a setup & politically motivated. It reeks of desperation. We will fight all bogus charges," Avenatti wrote.

"They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this? There has to be higher priorities!!!," he added.

Avenatti said in a later tweet that he expects Daniels to be released on bail "shortly" and charged with a misdemeanor for "touching."

"We will vehemently contest all charges," he wrote.

#1  Apparently Stormy Daniels is short of money to pay her Lawyer. And her Lawyer HAS to be paid "something:. He seems not to be a very good Lawyer or he would've advised his client against "performing" at her trade...while in a Nationally publicized case where her every move will be easily watched and public relations are of paramount importance.

My prognosis for Stomy is: She's rather stupid and her Lawyer isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer either.

Former ICE Director on Trump: 'No President Has Done More For Border Security
[Daily Caller] Former ICE Director Tom Homan praised President Trump for his immigration policies, saying he was the best president for border security, in an interview with Fox News’ Harris Faulkner on Wednesday afternoon.
"I respect every president I ever worked for. No president has done more for border security and law enforcement than President Trump," Homan stated. "The first year he was in office, and we were out there enforcing law the way we’re supposed to because he allowed us to through his executive actions."

"The number of illegal border crossers dropped [from a] 40 to a 45-year low. A four-decade low. That’s not a coincidence. That’s because this president let ICE and the border patrol do their job," he continued.

Homan has worked at ICE during the last six presidential administrations.

He has been a big supporter of the Trump administration and their unwavering support of ICE even during the recent protests that have erupted around the country.

IDF opens fire near Gazans flying incendiary balloons into Israel
[IsraelTimes] In separate incident, soldiers shoot and then detain Paleostinian man who the army says tried to breach security fence with wire-cutters and a bottle of flammable liquid

An Israeli drone fired toward a group of Paleostinians flying incendiary balloons into southern Israel from the southern Gazoo Strip, according to Paleostinian media.

No injuries were reported in the Arclight airstrike, which was said to have occurred east of the city of Rafah.

The Israeli military confirmed that one of its aircraft fired at a cell that had launched balloons toward Israel from the southern Gazoo Strip.

This was the first such strike by the IDF against Paleostinians sending airborne arson devices into Israel in two weeks.

Throughout the day on Wednesday, incendiary kites and balloons sparked 19 fires, of varying sizes, in southern Israel, according to local government officials.

Fifteen of them occurred in the Eshkol region, which abuts the southern Gazoo Strip. The other four took place in the Sha’ar Hanegev region, which lies to the northeast of the coastal enclave.

In a separate incident, also east of Rafah, Israeli soldiers shot and detained a Paleostinian youth who the army said tried to breach the Gazoo security fence with a pair of wire-cutters and a bottle full of a flammable liquid.

His condition was not immediately known.

The military said the suspect was "trying to damage security infrastructure and harm IDF soldiers."

The wire-cutters and flammable liquid were found in his possession, the army said.

The official Paleostinian Wafa news outlet, citing local sources, reported that the suspect was part of a group of people who tried to breach the fence. The others fled back toward the Gazoo Strip.

The detained suspect was handed over to the Shin Bet security service for questioning.

The NATO leaders will also hold talks regarding the extension of the Afghan forces funding beyond 2020.

Afghan asylum seeker deported from Germany kills himself
[Al Jazeera] An Afghan asylum seeker who was deported from Germany last week after spending more than eight years in the country has killed himself, Afghan and German officials have said.

The 23-year-old did away with himself at a hotel in the Afghan capital, Kabul, on Tuesday after being forcibly returned on July 4 along with 68 others, an Afghan official said.

A German interior ministry confirmed the news at a regular news conference saying: "We received confirmation from the Afghan authorities today morning that one of the passengers on the repatriation flight was found dead in accommodation in Kabul.

"According to the Afghan authorities, it was a suicide."

On Tuesday, German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer appeared to joke that the 69 deported Afghans were a birthday present.

"Just on my 69th birthday - and I didn't request it - 69 people were sent back to Afghanistan," he said with a raised smile on his face.

"That's way above earlier levels."

In a filing to a Virginia federal judge overseeing one of two trials scheduled for Manafort, prosecutors said Manafort’s assertions in court papers about conditions in jail, including limited access to evidence and his attorneys, were untrue.

In phone calls taped in his jail, prosecutors said Manafort had remarked that he was being treated like a "VIP", was able to receive daily visits from lawyers and had access to "all my files like I would at home."

Manafort’s prosecution spawned out of U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible collusion between Russia and Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Manafort, who faces charges including bank fraud and failing to register as an agent for pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine, has a trial set for July 25 in Virginia and another trial in September in Washington.

Last week Manafort filed a motion seeking to postpone the Virginia trial until after the Washington trial concludes. His lawyers cited restrictions on emailing and phone calls, and the jail’s distance from Washington, as factors that were making it difficult to prepare.

Far from restrictive, prosecutors said Manafort had been provided with a personal telephone in his cell, which he used for more than 300 calls with attorneys and others over the past three weeks.

Manafort also appears to have found a workaround to the restriction on electronic communication by reading and composing emails on a second laptop that is carried in and out of the cell by his legal team, the prosecutors said.

"When the team takes the laptop from the jail, it reconnects to the internet and Manafort’s emails are transmitted," the prosecutors wrote.

Libya closes Ras Ajdir border with Tunisia
[Libya Observer] Libyan officer in charge of Ras Ajdir border crossing with Tunisia, Najmi Muammar, confirmed that the border has been shut to traffic by the Libyan side since Tuesday evening.

In a press statement, Muammar explained that the decision was taken due to increasing cases of attacks on Libyan travellers by locals of the Tunisian border town of Ben Gardane, because of decisions by the Libyan state to curb smuggling of goods into Tunisia.

He pointed out that the Presidential Council has addressed the Tunisian side officially to increase the security measures at its borders and protect Libyan travellers, but has received no response to its demands to date.

Muammar further noted that Tunisian protesters broke Libyan-registered vehicles and prevented ambulances from entering Tunisian territory.

"The Libyan state is determined to enforce its decisions to tighten control on the border in order to prevent the smuggling of fuel and goods that are active in border areas on both sides and the Tunisian authorities have to comply with the border security requirements," Muammar stressed.

He made clear that the border will not be reopened until the demands of the Libyan state are met.

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council Ahmed Maiteeq gave orders to the Minister of Interior to take all necessary measures to protect Libyans travelling by road to Tunisia, including closing the crossing border between the two countries if Tunisian authorities fail to meet their obligations.

Border areas like Ben Gardane town in Tunisia have witnessed over the previous years riots, protests, closure of roads, and attacks on Libyan citizens and their property, as well as preventing them from entering the Tunisian territory in protest against the measures taken by the Libyan authorities to stop smuggling of fuel and food commodities from Libya to Tunisia.

NATO accuses Russia of destabilizing eastern Ukraine
[PRESSTV] NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
has once again accused Russia of what it sees as destabilizing eastern Ukraine as members of the Western military alliance gather for a summit in Brussels.

NATO leaders issued a declaration at the summit in the Belgian capital on Wednesday, whereby they expressed concern about reduced security at NATO borders as a result of what they said were Russia’s activities, including its "destabilization of eastern Ukraine."

Russia and the West have been at odds over Ukraine since a political crisis erupted in the country in late 2014. The West is also angry at what it claims to be Russia’s annexation of Crimea, a former Ukrainian territory on the Black Sea and dominated by ethnic Russians which joined the Russian Federation after a referendum four years ago.

NATO members said in the statement that they would remain committed to the security of Ukraine as well as members of the alliance who may be affected by Russia’s increased military activities along its western borders.

In a clear response to US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s repeated calls for increased contribution of NATO members to the finances of the organization, the statement said that NATO members would remain committed to pledges for increased military spending.

"We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to all aspects of the Defense Investment Pledge agreed at the 2014 Wales Summit, and to submit credible national plans on its implementation, including the spending guidelines for 2024, planned capabilities, and contributions," read the NATO statement.

It said all NATO members were committed to increasing military spending to reach the 2-percent portion of their overall national income.

American tourist allegedly tries to take 'souvenir' WWI artillery shell on plane
[FOX] An American tourist caused a portion of the Vienna Airport in Austria to shut down after she allegedly tried to take an unexploded World War II artillery shell through customs, reports said.

Austrian customs officials called in the bomb disposal unit to remove the shell after the 24-year-old tourist asked if she could take the "souvenir" on her flight, Deutsche Welle reported.

The incident caused a portion of the arrivals and luggage section of the airport to close for 15 minutes, according to the outlet.

The woman said she found the military ordnance while hiking, and even cleaned it off at her hotel room so it wouldn’t get her clothes in her luggage dirty, the outlet reported, citing the Krone newspaper.

The tourist, who was not identified, was fined nearly $5,000 and reported to prosecutors for negligent endangerment, Deutsche Welle reported.

Despite the potentially hazardous situation, police told the outlet passengers were never in any danger.

John Kerry rips Trump's ‘disgraceful' NATO speech
[NYPost] Former Secretary of State John Kerry issued a scathing statement about what he called a "disgraceful," "disgusting" and downright "strange" appearance by President Trump at the NATO summit in Brussels.
"No, I don't own a mirror, why do you ask?"
"I've never seen a President say anything as strange and counterproductive as President Trump's harangue against NATO and Germany," Kerry wrote in a statement on Wednesday.

"It was disgraceful, destructive, and flies in the face of the actual interests of the Iran United States."

Kerry questioned why President Trump was rebuking our allies publicly while turning Russia, "who has been attacking America's democracy, into his fawned-over ally."

Trump, who has publicly praised Russian president Vladimir Putin, brashly criticized his NATO allies for not spending enough on defense during a summit early Wednesday.

"The President set America back this morning," Kerry wrote.

"He is steadily destroying our reputation in the world. he is undermining our interests."

Trump ‐ whose presidential campaign in under investigation for possible collusion with Russia during the 2016 election ‐ is set to meet with Putin in Helsinki, Finland on Monday.

Chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the NATO summit is set to discuss the most urgent issues for its members concerning international security and military affairs.

Transatlantic trade agreements as well as the US withdrawal from both the global climate pact and Iran nuclear deal are on the summit’s agenda, as are defense spending contributions.

Yemen: A Very Public Defeat Back In Iran
[StrategyPage] The UN persuaded the Arab coalition to pause its offensive in late June so the UN could attempt to negotiate an end to the battle for the Red Sea port of Hodeida. But so far all the rebels will offer is to turn over control of the port to the UN (something the UN has been demanding for years) while the government demands that the rebels move away from the coast. The rebels will not consider this because it would cut them off from the weapons and equipment the Iranians smuggle in as well as opportunities to attack ships in the Red Sea. The rebels show no signs of surrendering control of Hodeida or any portions of the Red Sea coast. The Arab coalition reminded the UN that a "pause" was not a ceasefire and the fighting around Hodeida and other key rebel locations (the capital Sanaa and the Saada, the home province of the Shia rebels) are experiencing more combat with government and coalition forces.

Gunsex Aerial firing’ at PML-N corner meeting claims child’s life
[DAWN] A nine-year-old boy was rubbed out and another child injured when two gunnies resorted to gun sex at a corner meeting of the Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N) at Kot Lakhpat on Tuesday.

Mazhar Jan, 9, breathed his last in hospital while the condition of Fahad was said to be stable as he suffered bullet wound in his leg, a doctor told media persons at the Lahore General Hospital.

There were conflicting reports about the incident when some PML-N men tried to mislead police by alleging that the party’s corner meeting came under fire by the gunnies of the Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
. However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
during preliminary inquiry it transpired that it was the result of gun sex by the two button men of PML-N leader Haji Muhammad Aslam Bhatti.

Eyewitnesses said the button men had gun sex before the arrival of Saad Rafique who was scheduled to attend the corner meeting of the party at Babar Chowk. They said Saad Rafique was contesting the election for PP-168. Lahore Operations SSP Asad Sarfraz told Dawn that the death of a boy and injury to another was the result of gun sex by the two button men of a PML-N leader at the corner meeting.

"We dispatched police to respond to the emergency situation and they tossed in the clink
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
both the button men," he said, adding that a criminal case had been lodged against them.

Trump to NATO allies: Raise military spending to 4 percent of GDP
[Al Jazeera] US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
has told NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
countries to increase their defence spending to four percent of their gross domestic product, higher than the group's goal of two percent, a White House official said on Wednesday.

The official said the president's remarks were not a formal proposal but came as he was urging leaders of the 29-member military alliance to increase their outlays on defence.

The US president has been openly critical of his NATO allies since becoming president in January 2017. Ahead of the summit being held in the Belgian capital, Brussels, Trump sent out a tweet about the funding of NATO.

Trump has repeatedly said the US was bearing an unfair burden because it spends many times more of its GDP on defence than other NATO countries.

Speaking at the summit, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg earlier said that members states had agreed to spend more on defence in the coming years.

"All allies are increasing defence spending. This year at least eight of the NATO countries have committed to spend at least two percent of their GDP on defence and a majority of our allies have plans to do so by 2024," Stoltenberg said during a presser in Brussels.

"For a quarter of a century many countries have been cutting billions from their defence budgets. Now they are adding billions," he added.

‘Turned From Rescue to Piracy': Migrants Threatened to Kill Ship's Crew Unless Sailed to Europe
[Breitbart] African migrants who thought they would be denied passage to Europe became violent and threatened to kill the crew of an Italian supply ship that had rescued them.

Vos Thalassa, a specialist Offshore Supply Ship which works supporting French oil and gas company Total, picked up more than 60 migrants after responding to a distress call in the Mediterranean on Sunday night.

But within minutes, the crew were taken "hostage" by the people they allowed onboard, according to Il Giornale, which reported that some of the individuals who were rescued became enraged when a Libyan coastguard boat arrived on the scene to take the illegal immigrants to safety.

"It turned from a rescue to piracy," commented the Italian transport ministry, stating that "death threats were made".

Greece asked for Russian diplomats’ expulsion
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Greece had informed Russia on July 6 that it planned to expel Russian diplomats from the country for illegal activities connected to rallies against a deal with Macedonia, a Greek diplomatic source told Rooters on Wednesday.

"We had issued warnings to Russian authorities for some time over (the actions of) these specific 4 diplomats and civilians, and on Friday it was officially raised, giving them a reasonable period of a few days to leave the country," the source told Rooters.

The allegations concerned involvement in rallies against a deal with Macedonia and attempts to offer money to state officials, the source said.

Germans want US troops withdrawal, poll finds
[PRESSTV] Germans want the withdrawal of American troops from their country, a new poll says, amid US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s threats to discontinue military support for the Western military alliance of NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
A YouGov poll for the German news agency DPA found that more Germans would welcome the withdrawal of the 35,000-strong American force than would oppose it, British online newspaper The Independent reported Wednesday.

Meanwhile,
...back at the comedy club, Boogie was cracking himself up, but nobody else seemed to be getting the non-stop jokes...
42 percent said they supported withdrawal while just 37 percent wanted the soldiers to stay, with 21 percent undecided.

The finding comes on the first day of a NATO summit, during which the US president is expected to press Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
to increase military spending if it wants to continue to receive American military support.

US troops have been stationed in Germany since the Second World War.

There are nearly 36 US military bases in Germany, a significant reduction from over 200 that were located there until the end of the Cold War.

Last month, US daily The Washington Post reported that the Pentagon was analyzing the cost and impact of a large-scale withdrawal or transfer of American troops stationed in Germany, amid growing tensions between President Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslems ..
, according to people familiar with the work.

However,
some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them...
the US ambassador to NATO said earlier this month that no discussions were underway regarding withdrawal of US troops in Germany.

"There is nothing being said at all about the troop alignment in Germany or anything that would change" the basing arrangements there, Kay Bailey Hutchison told news hounds in a briefing on July 5. "I’ve heard nothing on that score."

This comes as Trump has been pushing other countries with the NATO, including Germany, to contribute more to their military spending.

White House has no plans to pull US troops out of Germany

"There is nothing being said at all about the troop alignment in Germany or anything that would change the 32,000 troop force that we have in Germany," said a senior administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

And from the same source yesterday, about the poll:

The survey, carried out for DPA and published on Wednesday, showed that 42 percent of Germans would be happy if the US pulled its troops out of the Bundesrepublik. At the same time 37 percent said they want the US soldiers to stay, while 21 percent gave no answer.

In particular, voters for the far-left Die Linke and far-right Alternative for Germany wanted an end to US army bases, with 67 percent and 55 percent, respectively, saying the Amis should go. On the other hand, only 35 percent of voters for Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats (CDU) support this.

Ex-CIA Director: NATO leaders should push back against Trump's 'reckless behavior'
[The Hill] Former CIA Director John Brennan on Wednesday blasted President Trump after he hammered allies about their contributions to NATO at the group's annual summit.
Leave it to the onerous John Brennan to muddle 'reckless behavior' with simple truth telling.

"History inevitably will regard Trump as one of the most disastrous figures of the 21st century," the former CIA official continued.

Germany arrests Iran ‘spy’ on bomb plot charges
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] German prosecutors said Wednesday a court had remanded in jug an alleged Iranian spy accused of plotting to bomb an Iranian opposition rally in Gay Paree on June 30.

The suspect, a Vienna-based accredited Iranian diplomat whom opposition groups have named as Assadollah Assadi, 46, was one of several suspects detained in Germany, Belgium and La Belle France.

They had allegedly planned to bomb the rally by an exiled Iranian opposition group in Villepinte near Gay Paree that was attended by several US politicians.

German prosecutors said Wednesday that a court had two days earlier remanded Assadi in jug on charges of foreign intelligence activities and conspiracy to murder. They added that these charges did "not preclude" Assadi’s extradition requested by Belgium.

Assadi was believed to be a member of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security, which is tasked with the "observation and fight against opposition groups inside and outside Iran", the prosecutors’ statement said.

They said Assadi had in March ordered a married couple living in Antwerp "to carry out an explosives attack" on the annual rally and had handed them the explosives in a June meeting in Luxembourg.

The couple were jugged
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
in Brussels on the day of the rally by Belgian security services who said they found them in possession of 500 grams (about one pound) of the volatile explosive TATP and a detonator.

They were identified only as Amir S., 38, and Nasimeh N., 33, and as being Belgian nationals of Iranian origin. French police arrested another three people but later released two of them, French legal sources said.

Teheran has dismissed the alleged bomb plot as a "sinister false flag ploy" designed to discredit Iran at a time when it faces major diplomatic tensions with the United States.

Warlord Haftar hands over oil ports to Tripoli NOC after strong-worded letter from US President
[Libya Observer] The National Oil Corporation (NOC) lifted force majeure on oil exports from Ras Lanuf, Sidra, Hariga and Zuetina after the facilities were handed over to the internationally-recognized Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
-based NOC Wednesday morning.

In a statement, the NOC said production and export operations will return to normal levels within the next few hours.

The resumption of oil exports comes after eastern Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
ordered his so-called Petroleum Facilities Guard to allow Tripoli-based NOC to manage oil ports in eastern Libya.

Chairman of NOC Mustafa Sanallah welcomed the handover of oil ports to the legitimate oil institution and said "we need a proper national debate
... an expenditure of personal wind at the national level that leads to face-making and other histrionics but can't be shown to have ever solved an issue ...
on the fair distribution of oil revenues. It is at the heart of the recent crisis. The real solution is transparency."

He also called on the Ministry of Finance and Central Bank of Libya to publish budgets and detailed public expenditure.

The warlord had closed the oil ports accusing authorities in Tripoli of using oil revenues to fund the gangs, which attacked oil crescent on June 13.

Earlier this month, Haftar preconditioned reopening the oil terminals and allowing the exports of crude to go back as normal as they have been to five necessary points.

Meanwhile,
...back at the secret hideout, Scarface Al sneeringly put his proposition to little Nell...
observers say Haftar’s U-turn comes after a letter from US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
to the Speaker of House of Representatives Aqailah Saleh and Chairman of Presidential Council Fayez Sarraj criticizing them for being unable to solve the oil ports closure by Dignity Operation.

In the letter, Trump warned both Libyan officials that they could face international prosecution as a first step, to be followed by threats to use force to solve the oil crisis.

218 TV station, which leaked the letter, said Khalifa Haftar’s General Command was aware of Trump’s strong-worded letter.

Libya’s warlord Haftar orders arrest of ICC fugitive Al-Werfalli
[Libya Observer] The commander of the self-styled army Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
ordered Wednesday the arrest of frontlines commander at al-Saiqa Force Mahmoud al-Werfalli for his "escape from military prison while under investigation for military codes’ violations."

Media outlets loyal to Haftar reported sources from the general command of the self-styled army as saying that the arrest order is due to al-Werfalli’s break out of prison in Rajma, eastern Libya.

Libya al-Hadath TV channel, which is owned by Haftar’s family, said Haftar ordered the apprehension of runaway al-Werfalli and his loyalists "for breaking the law and endangering people’s lives."

Al-Werfalli made a cinematic escape from prison and arrived in Benghazi last week.

He also carried out an attack on military investment authority looking for its chief al-Madani al-Fakhri, stealing some of the belongings in there.

A leaked walkie-talkie call was also posted on social media on Tuesday when he vowed to keep looking for al-Fakhri till doomsday, calling home a corrupted person and a thief.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Since the entrance of ISIS into Sinjar which is the stronghold of the Yazidi people in northern Iraq in August 2014, and until June of 2018, official UN statistics revealed that 3,300 Yazidi Kurds were able to escape ISIS’s grip out of 6,417 others who had been kidnapped by the krazed killer group.

Samira Hassan, one of ISIS’s Yazidi survivors in Sinjar, now resides in a camp in Erbil, the capital city of the Kurdistan region in Iraq, tells a story of defiance and strength in the face of war and darkness brought on her people by the krazed killer group.

Samira said that she was only 18-years-old when her family, along with12 other families, "miraculously" escaped the atrocities of ISIS in their region in Sinjar.

Four years later, Al Arabiya English met with Samira and her family who are living in a building which is still under construction in Erbil, to share a story of love and war.

Samira said in the middle of the night in June, 2014 while paying a visit to a family friend, she and others were told that ISIS has surrounded Sinjar and that there’s no way out, otherwise they will "just be an added number to ISIS victims".

The young Yazidi added that she and her family bravely ran away through a border crossing with Syria, escaping an attack by ISIS.

Arriving in a northern town called Zakho, it became a temporary home for them until they moved towards Erbil looking for shelter and work to survive.

Despite her agony of the continuous move and displacement, her love for Saeed (her husband) conquered all odds, meeting him in the camp in Erbil where they got married and later had her daughter Freiha.

She said her daughter Freiha was deprived from living in her grandparents’ home as ISIS put an end to her childhood before it even began.

She is now pregnant with their second child, hoping that one day they will reunite with all loved ones in their land.

Gang rapes and brutal crimes
Moving from her happy moments, she starts with tears in her eyes telling her accounts of the atrocities of ISIS. She tells how three maiden of tender yearss, family related, were gang raped, while another Yazidi woman who just gave birth to her child, lost her mind and did away with himself when ISIS slaughtered her infant child and cooked his flesh and gave it to her to eat, then the krazed killer group told her that she just ate her child.

She said that the road to escape this brutality was not easy, as they got lost many times when trying to reach the Syrian border.

Samira described their trip to Erbil as being full with fear and blood, saying after they escaped an ISIS attack, they were faced with a flat tire causing a car crash leading to a head injury to a family relative in her thirties who had witnessed the execution of her brother by ISIS because of his religion.

The impossible return to Sinjar
Despite that seven months have passed since the Iraqi government declared victory over ISIS, still the security situation in Sinjar and other nearby areas in djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, are unstable.

Khodr Hassan, one Yazidi who escaped ISIS atrocities and lives in Erbil said to Al Arabiya English that the reason why it is impossible to go back to Sinjar, is because the place is completely destroyed and full of diseases resulting from corpses left unburied.

He added that there are many land mines left by ISIS in many areas, while the security situation is unstable, as armed forces of Evil from the Kurdish group PKK and the mobilized forces are taking over Sinjar as stronghold.

Khodr called on all concerned parties and the UN agencies to interfere and look into their situation to provide a safe return to their homes.

The Yazidis, a Kurdish-speaking minority came to the spotlight when ISIS took over large parts of Iraq, victimizing its members, committing massacres and subjecting them to forced conversions, sexual slavery and other reported atrocities.

WTF? Rosenstein orders Fed prosecutors to assist in reviewing Judge Kavanaugh docs
[NYP] Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asked federal prosecutors across the country to assist in reviewing documents of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee for Supreme Court, a process that could delay his Senate confirmation, according to a report on Wednesday.
How does this compare to the vetting process of the last several Supreme Court nominees, and is it the deputy attorney general’s responsibility to initiate managing the process?
Rosenstein sent an email this week to the nation’s 93 US attorneys requesting each one to provide up to three prosecutors "who can make this important project a priority for the next several weeks," the New York Times reported.

The subject line of Rosenstein’s email read, "Personal Message to U.S. Attorneys from the Deputy AG."

Trump announced his selection of Kavanaugh in a prime-time television event on Monday night to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy.
Will Mueller be brought in next? Where is the Attorney General? This vindictive fellow should have been fired a long time ago.

#5  Lisa H Barsoomian a US Attorney that graduated from Georgetown Law, she’s a protege of James Comey and Robert Mueller.

Barsoomian with her boss R. Craig Lawrence represented Bill Clinton in 1998

Lawrence also represented

Robert Muller three times

James Comey five times

Barack Obama 45 times

Kathleen Sebelius 56 times

Bill Clinton 40 times and

Hillary Clinton 17 times

Someone out there cares so much that the internet has been “purged” of all information pertaining to Barsoomian.

Historically this indicates that the individual is a protected CIA operative.

Additionally Lisa Barsoomian has specialized in opposing Freedom of Information Act requests on behalf of the intelligence community

And although Barsoomian has been involved in hundreds of cases representing the DC Office of the US Attorney her email address is Lisa Barsoomian at NIH gov.

The NIH stands for National Institutes of Health.

This is a tactic routinely used by the CIA to protect an operative by using another government organization to shield their activities.

It’s a cover, so big deal right, I mean what does one more attorney with ties to the US intelligence community really matter.

It deals with Trump and his recent tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum imports, the border wall, DACA, everything coming out of California, the Uniparty unrelenting opposition to President Trump, the Clapper leaks, the Comey leaks,

Attorney General Jeff Sessions recusal and subsequent 14 month nap with occasional forays into the marijuana legalization mix…….

and last but not least Mueller’s never-ending investigation into collusion between the Trump team and the Russians

Between 1998 and 2017 Barsoomian herself represented the FBI at least five times

You may be saying to yourself, okay who cares, who cares about the work history of this Barsoomian woman?

Apparently someone does BECAUSE : Someone out there cares so much that they’ve “purged” all Barsoomian court documents for her Clinton representation in Hamburg vs. Clinton in 1998 and its appeal in 1999 from the DC District and Appeals court dockets (?)

Why does Barsoomian, CIA operative, merit any mention?
BECAUSE

She is Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s WIFE

That’s why.

#6  And there you have at least part of the answer for the Benghazi and Clinton debacles, the DNC Awan IT scandal, the neutering of Jeff Sessions, as well as the continuing Intelligence Community campaign against Donald J. Trump.

Residents of the "Imperial City," the Congress, and members of the "Professional Gov't" (as spoken about in the Daniel Greenfield video in today's Burg), are fully aware of these connections. Make no mistake, the Klingons really are in charge.

#17  At this point it's about diffusing responsibility as far and wide as possible. Trump has rightly focused on getting judges seated, not wasting his time on something like W's purge that cost us Gonzales' expertise. Could he do a recess appointment before the swearing in of a new Congress in 2019?

Could he just fire everyone now and have de facto acting staff for DOJ while Congress twiddles its thumbs?

Could he fire everyone and dare Congress to leave DOJ unstaffed?

Yemeni army seizes three Houthi-armed boats in Hajjah
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Yemeni army has seized three armed fishing boats used in the past by the Houthis to attack naval operations carried out by the legitimate forces.

Those operations against the Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
militias were conducted with the backing of the coalition as Yemeni forces attempted to recapture the Habl port near Midi in the Hajjah governorate.

This is the first naval battle, through which the Houthis tried with to defend three boats loaded with guns and bombs. However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes...
the capabilities of the coalition-backed naval army were able to defeat the Houthis.

The Houthis exploited the fishing boats and the fishermen in carrying out their military operations by camouflaging the boats, out of fear of being caught.

The naval formation of the Yemeni army in Midi has succeeded in the past few weeks in securing the coastal part of the sea in Midi after being trained by the naval forces of the Arab coalition.

Russian Special Forces Just Practiced Invading an Island Near Finland
[Defense One] A group of Russian special operations forces parachuted onto the island of Gogland in a Russian-controlled portion of the Gulf of Finland. They hid their parachutes, journeyed deep into the interior, and destroyed a series of mock communications stations, radars and ASM batteries. They then prepped a landing site for a helicopter escape ‐ despite the fact that the island already has a helipad.

The troops jumped from a Mi-8AMTSH helicopter at an altitude of 2,500 meters, and used satellite navigation equipment to guide them to their landing site, notes a July 10 press release on the drill from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The soldiers that took part in the exercise had "not less than a hundred jumps with parachutes of various types," it said.

Aki Heikkinen, who curates Russianmilitarywatch.com, pointed out that Gogland, seized by Russia in 1944, is just 24 miles from the Finnish city of Kotka.

A small island assault exercise doesn't mean prep for engaging Finland, as the article suggests. I would look for a more troubled region near the same latitude.

Egypt says security forces kill 11 militants in Sinai
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Egypt’s official news agency says security forces killed at least 11 suspected bandidos forces of Evil in a shootout in the northern Sinai Peninsula.

The news agency quoted an unnamed security official Wednesday as saying that the fighting erupted when forces raided a hideout in the city of al-Arish. It says security forces dismantled two bombs and seized weapons.

It did not say when the raid took place or whether any security forces were killed or maimed. Egypt heavily restricts media access to the northern Sinai.

Egypt has been battling bandidos forces of Evil for years, but the Sinai-based insurgency gained strength after the 2013 overthrow of an elected but divisive

Daniel Greenfield is a well-known commentator, blogger and author. In a speech to the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention in Myrtle Beach last January, he outlined what he sees as the Second Civil War in the USA - and it's happening already. In the light of the fuss about the nomination of Justice Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court, I thought it might be worthwhile to remind ourselves of the roots of the opposition to his appointment.

Syria air defenses repel Israeli airstrike on Quneitra
[PRESSTV] Syrian military air defenses have repelled an Israeli attack on the country's Quneitra province, Syrian state media report.

Syria's official news agency SANA reported late on Wednesday that Israeli warplanes fired several missiles at Syrian army positions located close to the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights causing only material damage.

"The aircraft of the Israeli enemy fired several missiles in the direction of some army positions," said a Syrian military source.

On Sunday, Syrian air defenses thwarted a missile attack on the T4 airbase in the country's central province of Homs.
The Times of Israel adds:
The Israeli Air Force confirmed the bombings in the Syrian Golan Wednesday night, targeting regime forces in the Quneitra region near the border, hours after a Syrian drone was shot down by the military after entering Israeli airspace.
