[Breitbart] The sanctuary city of Chicago is turning zero criminal illegal aliens over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency for arrest and deportation in part thanks to Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) protections for gang members and felons.
In the third quarter of 2022, city records show that none of the three ICE detainers filed with Chicago police — requesting custody of criminal illegal aliens — were honored. Likely hundreds, potentially thousands, more illegal aliens were arrested in Chicago during the period, but ICE agents have been restricted in issuing detainers by the Biden administration.
The refusal to honor any ICE detainers by Chicago officials is the result of Lightfoot’s expanded sanctuary city policy.
In February 2021, Lightfoot signed the expansion, which prohibited local police from cooperating with ICE even in cases where arrested illegal aliens are in the gang database, are convicted felons, have pending criminal charges, or have outstanding warrants.
Lightfoot’s expansion came after former Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) signed Chicago’s initial sanctuary city policy into law in 2012 which prohibited police from questioning suspects about their immigration status.
Emanuel’s sanctuary city policy was later expanded in 2016 to mandate that “city employees treat documented and undocumented immigrants with respect and dignity.”

butcher69 says: Sam Bankman-Freed was arrested by the Bahamas after the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York delivered a sealed indictment to the Bahamian government. The indictment is a precursor to Sam's extradition to the US for trial and includes allegations of fraud, securities fraud and money laundering.
In addition, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission allowed charges of violating securities laws against Sam Bankman-Fried to be filed. Meanwhile, the Bahamas is also expected to continue its own regulatory and criminal investigation into the collapse of FTX.
For the uninitiated, the FTX crypto exchange maintained a covert relationship with Sam Bankman-Freed's crypto trading division, Alameda Research, with joint funds at Silvergate Bank, which allowed Alameda to take FTX customer funds after collateral in the form of illiquid tokens, including FTX's own FTT coin.
However, that house of cards collapsed when Alameda's excessive exposure to the FTT token became public in early November, prompting Binance to dump its own FTT holdings, crashing the price of the token. Against the backdrop of these events, the then CEO of Alameda Research, Caroline Ellison, announced the floor price for the FTT token, causing a flurry of speculative attacks. As Alameda's ability to repay its obligations declined, as illiquid token collateral quickly lost its inflated value, and abrupt customer withdrawals caused the bank to collapse, FTX was left with no choice, and the company eventually filed for bankruptcy.
Interestingly, Sam Bankman-Fried spent most of his time giving interviews to the media. However, in all these public appearances, the idea was constantly heard that he did not really know what was happening, that he was innocent and the victim of an unfortunate combination of circumstances. Just yesterday, the now-defunct FTX's disgraced former CEO appeared on the virtual Twitter Space in an interview with UnusualWhales to answer burning questions about the FTX collapse while playing a video game.
New FTX CEO John Jay Ray III, a veteran lawyer who oversaw the Enron bankruptcy, in a scripted speech made serious allegations against Sam Bankman-Freed, including inadequate security protocols for FTX client assets, allowing Alameda to take FTX funds without "any effective restriction" , mix of assets, lack of proper documentation of nearly 500 investments made by FTX, and lack of independent management at FTX.

In my previous article, ’A Signal Call to The Consciences of Our Nation’s Teachers — ’Rise Up to Save Our Children,’’ I examined how our Children’s K-12 Educational system has been horribly transformed into a Woke propaganda-mill designed to produce students trained in mindless group think. This betrayal of parental expectations through the rape of childhood innocence creates a situation where all the axiomatic presuppositions that parents have regarding the purpose and function of education are deliberately annihilated.
That is, the parental expectation that the reason why schools exist is to teach children to think critically for themselves by learning how to read, write, understand math, express themselves clearly, have an understanding of science and computers as well as be exposed to the triumphs of civilization — especially Western Civilization - via the teaching of its heroes, history, literature and art. However, all these presuppositions are instead being undermined and subverted, largely in a clandestine manner, to create generations of students who will be incapable of critical thinking and will, instead, become unthinking tools in the service of a brutal and cruel power lust designed to foster the acceptance of a permanent ruling class over them.
However, this assault on students is only the precursor and preparation for what Progressive Academia has in store for them in university, where the poisoned fruit of their K—12 mis-education will be more fully put to work in the service of the Left.

[JustTheNews] Lawsuit claims Google intentionally prioritizes search results for its products over organic search results and thus harms competitors.
Ohio has a court date for the first-of-its-kind lawsuit against Google.
Delaware County Common Pleas Court set May 14 as the date Attorney General Dave Yost begins his case against the internet search giant in an effort to have it declared a common carrier and subject to government regulation.
“By manipulating search results to self-preference its own products, Google is tilting the playing field against consumers and against emerging competitors,” Yost said. “It's time to bring those unfair practices to an end.”
As previously reported by The Center Square, a Delaware County judge ruled in May the state’s lawsuit could move forward.
The lawsuit, filed nearly a year before that ruling, claims Google intentionally prioritizes search results for its products over organic search results and harms competitors by featuring its products and services prominently on its results pages.
It also says the California-based company has a duty to offer sources or competitors rights equal to its own, claiming it should not prioritize the placement of its own products, services and websites on search results.
Yost said he wants those equal rights to extend to advertisements, enhancements, knowledge boxes, integrated specialized searches, direct answers and other features.
The lawsuit does not seek monetary damages.
Yost claims Google hurts Ohioans by not offering all the information in order for someone searching to make the best decision. He used searching for a flight as an example, saying if Google returns its own search results to steer someone to Google Flights, the person will not see offers from competitors such as Orbitz or Travelocity.
[ZeroHedge] Poland aims to create the largest land army in Europe, according to a report from French newspaper Le Figaro, with the paper’s analysis pointing out the colossal weapons contracts signed by Warsaw, including tanks, self-propelled guns, and missile launchers.
Poland is arming quickly and securing weapons at a frantic pace. Prior to contracts with South Korea, Warsaw ordered 250 American Abrams tanks to replace the old Soviet-era tanks it sent to Ukraine and other heavy equipment. The deal signed with the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem for the delivery of tanks will amount to four times the number of Leclerc tanks currently used by the French army.
Le Figaro noted that Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak promised in July that Poland will have the “strongest land forces in Europe.”
The Polish government also plans to increase its number of servicemen to 300,000 by 2035 from the current 170,000. At the same time, the country aims to increase military expenditures in 2023 to 3 percent of its GDP, surpassing all other EU countries, including France, which is planning to reach 2 percent.
Despite the increase in land forces, Poland still falls behind in the air and naval branches compared to France and Britain. However, Warsaw is modernizing these branches of the military as well by signing agreements to receive F-35 fighters and FA-50s, as well as three British frigates and two espionage ships made by the Swedish Saab company.
“For Poles, the Russian threat was always present and will remain this way in the long run,” said former head of the European Defence Agency, Claude-France Arnould. “Poles were on standby already during the NATO Summit in Bucharest in 2008.”
“Those armaments are the evidence of the triumph of the concept of strategic autonomy,” said Frederic Mauro of the International and Strategic Relations Institute.
The Polish government aspires to take on the role as the “leader of NATO’s eastern flank,” while South Korea offers a very attractive price-quality ratio, he said.
“The war of attrition in Ukraine showed how important having large quantities of inexpensive equipment is,” Mauro added. “Today, in Europe with the Ukraine war, we are speaking of a war economy. Having advanced weaponry is not enough, you need to have plenty of it, fast,” concluded the analyst.

On Tuesday, Carlson even called on new Twitter CEO Elon Musk to release information related to these employees’ actions at the company that he alleged will prove his claim.
"Let’s say you’re trying to staff a social media site," he began. "How many spies would you hire? Well, probably none. Spies have nothing to do with the mission of a social media company. They would not be needed and you wouldn’t hire any opera singers either. Yet for some reason, Twitter seemed to need a lot of spies."
The host went on to state that Twitter’s upper management ranks "were absolutely loaded with people who once did intel work for government agencies — at least 15 of these people and possibly many more."
He noted that James Baker, the company’s former deputy general counsel, worked for the FBI. Carlson listed several Twitter employees by name who used to work for the government and stated this shows the company is peppered with spies who worked for the bureau and other agencies such as the CIA and NSA.
"And it wasn’t just American intel officers that found a home at Twitter," he continued before citing a former Twitter employee who claimed that foreign government "operatives" worked at the company and had access to private user data."

If you review all the twittergate releases, it is always the private sector actors that get highlighted. Twitter employee did such and such.
They do not highlight govt employee xyz did such and such to influence twitter policy at the instruction by the Director of DHS, at the Direction of FBI. The names and positions of govt power that were influencing twitter to do its bidding were left out. Some call that a lie of omission.
Regardless, the premise she argues is the illusion of choice. Twitter needs to rehab its image before the 2024 election so to regain its legitimacy as it pivots to support the Establishment Candidate Ron DeSantis.
If people on the right think Twitter is led and controlled by govt, and twitter supports Ron - the thinking is that the normies will be more hesitant in supporting Ron if it looks like twitter is run by Deep State and he is their candidate.
Hence Elon good cop; twitter employees bad cop. Govt pulling twitter strings is mostly omitted and severely down played.
