Pervert Mormon cult leader Samuel Bateman is heard ranting about killing followers in 'blood atonement' ritual for their wrongs - as he's pictured with 22 of his 23 wives
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Ladies choice
  • In a chilling 30-second audio clip obtained by DailyMail.com, Mormon cult leader Samuel Rappylee Bateman is heard proselytizing about 'blood atonement'

  • He says there is 'payment' required for people's wrongs and boasts that there will be men 'who beg to have their blood spilled'

  • 'The only way they can feel that feel is to shed their blood and die, and the Lord will give them eternal life,' Bateman, 46, says in the recording

  • The self-proclaimed prophet is currently locked up in Florence, Arizona, after being arrested for a second time in September on evidence tampering charges

  • Until then, Bateman had been living the high life in the Mormon community of Short Creek, which is spread across Colorado City, Arizona and Hildale, Utah

Football coach Mike Leach pegs out at 61
[ESPN] Mississippi State football coach Mike Leach died Monday night after complications related to a heart condition, the school announced. He was 61.

Leach's family said, in a statement released Tuesday by the school, that Leach participated in organ donation at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as "a final act of charity."

"We are supported and uplifted by the outpouring of love and prayers from family, friends, Mississippi State University, the hospital staff, and football fans around the world," Leach's family said. "Thank you for sharing in the joy of our beloved husband and father's life."

Leach suffered what the university initially described in a news release as a "personal health issue" at his home in Starkville on Sunday, which required him to be airlifted to the UMMC in Jackson, about 125 miles from Mississippi State.

Jewish orgs decry ‘botched’ FBI hate crimes report understating antisemitic attacks
But if they’re undercounting targetted Jews, they’re also undercounting targetted Christians, Asians, and whites.
[IsraelTimes] Approximately 4,000 agencies do not participate in study, with 35 major US cities — including New York, Los Angeles and Miami — not submitting any data.

There were 7,262 hate crime incidents reported in 2021, the third-highest number in a decade.

Anti-Jewish hate crimes comprised the largest percentage of religion-based hate crimes, despite the fact that a number of jurisdictions with high rates of attacks and reporting were not included in the report.

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) said approximately 4,000 agencies had not transitioned to a new data collection system and as a result, 35 major US cities "simply reported zero hate crimes."

The Anti-Defamation League noted in a statement that there was a 22 percent decrease in the number of agencies reporting their data to the study, and that multiple large cities — including New York, Miami and Los Angeles, did not participate in the report.

The entire state of Florida and most of Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, also were not included.

The watchdog said the data suggested that if more jurisdictions had reported their figures for antisemitic attacks, the report "likely would have shown record-high numbers."

The White House on Monday announced the establishment of an inter-agency committee aimed at combatting antisemitism, heeding calls from US politicians and leading American Jewish organizations who urged a "whole of government approach" to the intensifying phenomenon.
Oh goody. Another layer of bureaucracy to ignore the situation, because Progressives like to talk about it while making the problem worse.

Musk’s Twitter disbands advisory panel on hate speech, other problematic content
“Get ye hence. Ye are neither trustworthy nor safe.”
[IsraelTimes] Members of Trust and Safety Council informed of move shortly before scheduled meeting with representatives from the social media firm.

Elon Musk’s Twitter has dissolved its Trust and Safety Council, the advisory group of around 100 independent civil, human rights
...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you...
and other organizations that the company formed in 2016 to address hate speech, child exploitation, suicide, self-harm and other problems on the platform.

The council had been scheduled to meet with Twitter representatives Monday night. But Twitter informed the group via email that it was disbanding it shortly before the meeting was to take place, according to multiple members.

The council members, who provided images of the email from Twitter to The News Agency that Dare Not be Named, spoke on the condition of anonymity due to fears of retaliation. The email said Twitter was "reevaluating how best to bring external insights" and the council is "not the best structure to do this."

"Our work to make Twitter a safe, informative place will be moving faster and more aggressively than ever before and we will continue to welcome your ideas going forward about how to achieve this goal," said the email, which was signed "Twitter."

The volunteer group provided expertise and guidance on how Twitter could better combat hate, harassment and other harms but didn’t have any decision-making authority and didn’t review specific content disputes. Shortly after buying Twitter for $44 billion in late October, Musk said he would form a new "content moderation council" to help make major decisions but later changed his mind.

"Twitter’s Trust and Safety Council was a group of volunteers who over many years gave up their time when consulted by Twitter staff to offer advice on a wide range of online harms and safety issues," tweeted council member Alex Holmes. "At no point was it a governing body or decision making."

Twitter, which is based in the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
, had confirmed the meeting with the council Thursday in an email in which it promised an "open conversation and Q&A" with Twitter staff, including the new head of trust and safety, Ella Irwin.

That came on the same day that three council members announced they were resigning in a public statement posted on Twitter that said that "contrary to claims by Elon Musk, the safety and wellbeing of Twitter’s users are on the decline."

Those former council members soon became the target of online attacks after Musk amplified criticism of them and Twitter’s past leadership for allegedly not doing enough to stop child sexual exploitation on the platform.

"It is a crime that they refused to take action on child exploitation for years!" Musk tweeted.

A growing number of attacks on the council led to concerns from some remaining members who sent an email to Twitter earlier on Monday demanding the company stop misrepresenting the council’s role.

Those false accusations by Twitter leaders were "endangering current and former Council members," the email said.

The Trust and Safety Council, in fact, had as one of its advisory groups one that focused on child exploitation. This included the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the Rati Foundation and YAKIN, or Youth Adult Survivors & Kin in Need.

30 Years Worth Of NYPD Evidence Up In Flames - Including (fill in your favorite conspiracy theory)
[CBSNews] Evidence, including DNA and items collected from crime scenes, dating back up to 30 years may have been destroyed in a 3-alarm fire that overtook a New York City Police Department storage facility in Brooklyn. Eight people suffered minor injuries, fire officials said.

The blaze erupted around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Erie Basin Auto Pound, a facility in Brooklyn's Red Hook neighborhood where the NYPD stores evidence, FDNY Chief of Department John Hodgens said in a press conference.

According to NYPD Chief Jeffrey Maddrey, the building was a police department pound that stored "a lot of biological evidence" as well as e-bikes and cars.

"DNA, things from past crimes, burglaries, shooting incidents, we have some biological evidence here as well," Maddrey said at the press conference. "It's mainly evidence, but we store other things there as well."

Officials said that rape evidence kits were not stored at the facility.

"The evidence goes back a long time, 20-30 years. Some of the evidence was also property from (Hurricane) Sandy as well," Maddrey added.

Police said they won't know the extent of the damage until the fire is put out, a task the fire department said could take several days. But Hodgens said that he would "estimate that most of the contents are damaged by fire."

The investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.

Hodgens said that eight people, including three members of the FDNY, three EMS personnel, and two civilians, suffered minor injuries as a result of the fire.

Florida Gov. DeSantis seeks grand jury investigation of COVID-19 vaccines
MIAMI (AP) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Tuesday that he plans to petition the state's Supreme Court to convene a grand jury to investigate "any and all wrongdoing" with respect to the COVID-19 vaccines.

The Republican governor, who is often mentioned as a possible presidential candidate in 2024, gave no specifics on what wrongdoing the panel would investigate, but suggested it would be in part aimed to jog loose more information from pharmaceutical companies about the vaccines and potential side effects.

He made the announcement following a roundtable with Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo and a panel of scientists and physicians.

"We’ll be able to get the data whether they want to give it or not," DeSantis said. "In Florida, it is illegal to mislead and misrepresent, especially when you are talking about the efficacy of a drug."

Vaccine studies funded by pharmaceutical companies that developed COVID-19 vaccines have been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, and government panels reviewed data on the safety and effectiveness of the shots before approving them for use.

The grand jury request, released later Tuesday, argues that pharmaceutical companies had a financial interest in creating a climate in which people believed that getting a coronavirus vaccine would ensure they couldn’t spread the virus to others.

It seeks a grand jury to investigate, among other things, whether any deceitful information was disseminated about "vaccines purported to prevent COVID-19 infection, symptoms, and transmission."

Statewide grand juries, usually comprised of 18 people, can investigate criminal activity and issue indictments but also examine systemic problems in Florida and make recommendations. Recent panels have tackled immigration issues and school safety.

Halle synagogue attacker briefly takes prison officers hostage at German jail
[IsraelTimes] Far-right assailant Stephan Balliet, placed in durance vile
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
for life over Yom Kippur attack in which he killed 2 passersby, is overpowered by other guards

The assailant behind a deadly far-right attack in Germany in 2019 briefly took two prison officers hostage in the jail where he is being held, a justice ministry front man said Tuesday.

Stephan Balliet, now 30, was sentenced to life in prison for trying to storm a packed synagogue in the eastern city of Halle on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year, then killing two people.
The court-appointed psychiatrist diagnosed Mr. Balliet as showing symptoms of schizophrenia, paranoia and autism, which explains a great deal.
The justice ministry said on Twitter that two prison officers had been temporarily held at the Burg prison, near the city of Magdeburg, on Monday.

The situation was successfully diffused when other prison officers overpowered the assailant, the ministry said.

The attack in Halle almost became Germany’s worst antisemitic atrocity since World War II, with only a bolted door preventing Balliet from reaching the 52 worshippers inside the synagogue.

After failing to storm the temple on October 9, 2019, he rubbed out a female passerby and a man at a kebab shop, using a weapon made with 3D-printed parts.

Dressed in military garb, he filmed the attack and broadcast it on the internet, prefacing it with a manifesto espousing his misogynist, neo-fascist
...anybody you disagree with, damn them...
ideology.

During his five-month trial, Balliet denied the Holocaust in open court — a crime in Germany — and expressed no remorse to those targeted, many of whom were co-plaintiffs in the case.

During the trial, Balliet insisted that "attacking the synagogue was not a mistake, they are my enemies."

Celebrity chef whose daughter is girlfriend of Real Madrid soccer star said among German coup plot suspects
[IsraelTimes] Ex-cop tasked with protecting Jewish community also reportedly arrested; prosecutors confirm 23 detained in Germany, extradition sought for 2 more.

A former police officer who was tasked with protecting Jewish communities from terror attacks was reportedly among the 25 people arrested in connection with an alleged far-right plan to violently topple the German government. The Guardian reported Friday that Michael Fritsch was arrested near Hanover in northern Germany. The former police officer was detained along with his partner Melanie Ritter.

The coup plot was allegedly hatched by people linked to the so-called Reich Citizens movement, which rejects Germany’s postwar constitution and the legitimacy of the government. Prosecutors suspect those arrested of being either members or supporters of a terrorist organization. The movement has its roots in a mixture of post-war grudges, antisemitic conspiracy theories and anger over recent pandemic restrictions, experts say.

According to The Guardian, 58-year-old Fritsch was suspended from duty as a police officer when he attended rallies connected to coronavirus denial in 2020. He was later sacked. He then became a parliamentary candidate for DieBasis, a COVID-denying political party. The report said his appeal against his dismissal from the police force was still ongoing. No details were given as to the nature of his responsibilities regarding the protection of Jewish communities.

Suspects detained so far have also included a self-styled prince, a retired paratrooper and a judge.

The Guardian said celebrity chef Frank Heppner, whose daughter is the girlfriend of the Real Madrid star and Austrian national soccer team captain David Alaba, was also arrested in the sweep of suspects.

The newspaper said Heppner “was allegedly a member of the command staff of the military arm of the terrorist group, responsible for recruiting new members, obtaining weapons and other equipment, as well as building a bug-proof communication and IT structure.” The report said the renowned chef was also in charge of food logistics for the militia and that he was arrested in Austria.

German officials have said they expect more people to be detained in connection with the alleged far-right plan to bring down the government.

German authorities said Friday that judges have confirmed the arrest of 23 people detained earlier this week on suspicion of planning to topple the government, while the extradition of two others detained abroad is being sought.

Prosecutors said 22 German citizens and a Russian woman detained in a series of raids across Germany on Wednesday have appeared before a federal court for their arraignment and will remain in custody as the investigation into the case continues.

Extradition proceedings have been initiated in the case of two others, identified only as Maximilian E. and Frank H., who were detained in Italy and Austria respectively, prosecutors said.

The case has also put a spotlight once more on the far-right Alternative for Germany party.

One of its former lawmakers, Birgit Malsack-Winkemann, was among those arrested. A Berlin judge, she was tapped to become justice minister if the coup succeeded, prosecutors said.

While the party’s leadership has denounced the plot, one of its lawmakers called the raids “the biggest abuse of power in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany.”

Petr Bystron, an AfD lawmaker from Bavaria, accused German authorities of “massive intimidation of the entire opposition.”

Rival politicians, meanwhile, have called for the party’s links with the Reich Citizens movement to be investigated.

Some in Germany have questioned whether the suspected extremists would actually have been able to pull off any serious attack.

But Germany’s top security official, Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, said it would be wrong to underestimate such groups, especially if their members include people who are trained to use firearms, such as soldiers or police officers.

Germany is highly sensitive to far-right extremism because of its Nazi past and repeated acts of violence carried out by neo-Nazis in recent years, including the killing of a regional politician and the deadly attack on a synagogue in 2019.

Two years ago, far-right extremists taking part in a protest against the country’s pandemic restrictions tried and failed to storm the Bundestag building in Berlin.

Jack Dorsey responds to Twitter Files: there were no ‘hidden agendas'
[engadget] Jack Dorsey has waded into the Twitter Files discourse. Writing in a newsletter, Dorsey lightly criticizes the manner the files have been released, and condemned attacks on former Twitter executives.

"I continue to believe there was no ill intent or hidden agendas, and everyone acted according to the best information we had at the time," Dorsey wrote. "As for the files, I wish they were released Wikileaks-style, with many more eyes and interpretations to consider. There’s nothing to hide...only a lot to learn from."

The response is the first time the former CEO has addressed the "Twitter Files" in detail. The disclosures detail some of the company’s internal deliberations surrounding controversial decisions, like Donald Trump’s suspension and Twitter’s handling of a New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s laptop. However, the "files" have only been made available to a handful of individuals, who have only published snippets of Slack messages, emails, and screenshots from Twitter’s internal tools. The underlying documents have not been released widely, or provided to other media outlets.

Recount confirms Lauren Boebert narrowly held her House seat
[MSN] An automatic recount confirmed Monday that Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert won her reelection bid against Democrat Adam Frisch. The nail-biter race showed the congresswoman's combative style is wearying voters in her conservative Colorado district.
Nice bias/opinion in a "news" article. "Journolism"
Secretary of State Jena Griswold announced the results Monday evening. Frisch netted a total of four votes in the recount, far from enough to close a 500-plus vote gap with Boebert. An Aspen City Councilman, Frisch had already conceded the race last month after the first tally put him just under the state's margin for a mandatory recount.

Indian, Chinese troops clash at Line of Actual Control border in fresh faceoff, biggest clash since 2020
[OneIndia] During Tawang clashes, Chinese soldiers were 200 in number, faced more injuries.

India and China were locked in a face-off in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh on December 9. Clashes were reported and it has now been confirmed that the Chinese soldiers were around 200 in number. The Chinese PLA according to reports came armed with spiked clubs with nails, monkey fists, taser guns and sticks.

The PLA soldiers were challenged by the Indian soldiers who were roughly 50 in number who in turn stopped their advance. A back-up Indian squad arrived at the location within half-an-hour following which a clash took place. According to reports the conflict began with stone-pelting before both sides engaged in hand-to-hand combat.

The Indian side was not armed with tasers guns. While 15 Indian soldiers suffered injuries, more Chinese soldiers were maimed. BJP MP from Arunachal Pradesh (East) Tapir Gao said that he had heard that a few injuries were reported on the Indian side, but added the Chinese PLA suffered much more injuries. He also said that the Indian soldiers will not budge an inch.

Defence Minister addresses Parliament:

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday addressed the Lok Sabha over the incident. Singh said that the attempt of the PLA was contested by the Indian Army in a firm and resolute manner.

He also added that this had led to the face-off between the two armies resulting in a minor scuffle which prevented the PLA from transgressing into the Indian territory. The Indian side compelled the Chinese PLA to return to their posts.

Singh also clarified that none of the Indian soldiers were seriously injured or killed during the festivities by the Chinese PLA troopers.

In a statement, the Ministry of Defence said that in certain areas along the LAC in the Tawang Sector in Arunachal Pradesh, there are areas of differing perception wherein both sides patrol the area upto their claim lines. This has been the trend since 2006, the statement read.

"On 09 December 2022, PLA troops contacted the LAC in Tawang Sector which was contested by own troops in a firm and resolute manner. This face-off led to minor injuries to a few personnel from both sides," the statement added.

Both sides immediately disengaged from the area. As a follow up of the incident, own Commander in the area held a Flag Meeting with his counterpart to discuss the issue in accordance with structured mechanisms to restore and tranquility, the statement also read.

IAF closely monitoring situation along LAC in Arunachal Pradesh

[OneIndia] The Indian Air Force is closely monitoring the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh following an attempt by the Chinese PLA troops last week to unilaterally change the status quo in the Tawang sector in the border state, people familiar with the development said on Tuesday.

They said the IAF has also stepped up its overall surveillance in the areas in view of the Chinese attempt of transgression on December 9, adding it follows standard operation procedures that included scrambling of fighter jets in case of specific security concerns. ''The situation is being monitored closely by both the IAF and the Army,'' said one of the people cited above.

The people indicated that the IAF has increased the frequency of the sorties by its combat jets in the region.

On Monday, the Indian Army said troops from the two sides clashed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Tawang sector and the face-off led to ''minor injuries'' to a few personnel from both sides''.

The face-off took place amid the over 30-month border standoff between the two sides in eastern Ladakh.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said in Parliament on Tuesday that the Indian troops bravely thwarted the attempt by Chinese PLA from ''unilaterally'' changing the status in Yangtse area of the Tawang sector and there were no fatalities or serious casualties to the Indian troops in the scuffle. ''On December 9, PLA troops tried to transgress the LAC in the Yangtse area of Tawang Sector and unilaterally change the status quo. The Chinese attempt was contested by our troops in a firm and resolute manner,'' Singh said.

''The ensuing face off led to a physical scuffle in which the Indian Army bravely prevented the PLA from transgressing into our territory and compelled them to return to their posts,'' he said.

It was the first major clash between the India and Chinese armies since August 2020 near Rinchen La in eastern Ladakh.

Indian and Chinese troops were engaged in a brief face-off near Yangtse in October last year as well and it was resolved following talks between local commanders of the two sides as per established protocols.
An Nahar summarizes the situation:
For decades, India and China have fiercely contested the Line of Actual Control, a loose demarcation that separates Chinese and Indian held territories from Ladakh in the west to India's eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims in its entirety. India and China fought a war over the border in 1962.

In recent years, soldiers from both sides have patrolled areas along the disputed border. Opposing soldiers often come into contact and the two Asian giants have accused each other of sending troops into the other's territory.

In June 2020, a clash in the Karakoram mountains in the Galwan Valley in Ladakh sparked tensions after soldiers fought with stones, fists and clubs. At least 20 Indian and four Chinese soldiers died. The countries both stationed tens of thousands of troops backed by artillery, tanks and fighter jets along their de facto border.

After multiple meetings between military commanders, some Indian and Chinese soldiers have pulled back from a key friction point in Ladakh, but tensions between the two Asian giants remain.

In November, Indian army chief Manoj Pande said there had been "no significant reduction" in Chinese troop strength in Ladakh. He said the border situation was "stable but unpredictable."

#1  Looking at it, I see little more than a street sprayer.
Not a weapon to aim and shoot accurately.

#2  Never understood the rationale - too heavy and awkward to use accurately as a true pistol and if you're going to add an arm brace just get a damn carbine, facryinoutloud.

#5  A pistol is a pistol and a rifle is a rifle. Use the most appropriate weapon at the proper time. I was amused by Ian' problems with a Evaluating the Modern Stocked Pistol: USW-320 at Desert Brutality 2022(Forgotten Weapons.com video). #6  BTW: Skidmark answer to your yesterday comment/question.

My Delta Elite 10mm is the US Government Model Stainless Steel field weapon tested by the Fed's, and it came with old style wood grips.

It failed the 1990s Fed Eval, because the Female agents had a hard time with the 22lb slide cocking spring. The 200+ grain bullet at 750 to 1100+/-fps depending on load used, delivers about 2x the ft/lbs per sq/inch of a 9mm.
So no need to double tap.

I quickly replaced wooden grips with Packmar's, to cushion the impact of firing it.

But alas, as I got older, I admit, I converted it to a 40cal and dig custom trigger job on it.

#7  Plus the DSA SA-58 is less than half the price of this FN model, MM.
