Biden clearing all federal convictions for 'simple' marijuana possession is the 'most political, cynical abuse of the pardon power in history' on the 'doorstep of an election', Ohio Attorney General says

Dave Yost said Biden's announcement showed an 'astonishing level of cynicism'

He said Biden could have announced the blanket pardon at 'any time'

The President chose to wipe roughly 6,500 convictions 35 days before midterms

He also asked governors across the country to do the same at a state level

Missouri's GOP Governor Mike Parsons said Friday he wouldn't be issuing a blanket pardon

Other members of the GOP however credited Biden for the marijuana pardon

Rep. Nancy Mace said 'I want to give credit where credit is due'

#1 I agree with the Ohio Attorney General and I'm shocked Obama didn't do this, or Hillary promise to do this if elected.

#2 Research has shown that the THC heavy strains of marijuana now being sold are far more dangerous than what was being sold even 6 years ago.

Also, I suspect of the persons convicted of 'simple possession', a lot of them plead down from a distribution charge.
