NCIS Now Involved With Illegals Dressed As Marines
Attention to detail.

A prior service US Marine, one of whom is a plainclothes Border Patrol agent, spotted something wrong with the fake military vehicle before it had even reached a checkpoint. He radioed ahead to insure that the vehicle received a close inspection.

Another prior service US Marine noticed that their driver didn't seem to understand English, and that two of the illegals had the same name tag of "Lopez", and that some of the group was wearing desert camouflage uniforms and others were wearing urban camouflage uniforms. And they didn't know the birthday of the USMC, which is taught to every Marine.

The van with the words "U.S. Government, For official use only" on the license plate seemed suspicious. What's more, one of the numbers reflected light differently when Smith's headlights shined on it, and a zero digit had been altered to look like the number 8.

The illegal aliens had been coached to say that they were traveling from Yuma Air Force Base, or "Joint Service Base".

Now the question has become were they just trying to cross the border, or was there more serious criminal intent in mind? To discover this, the Border Patrol has been joined with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).

Mum and daughters made healer's sex bunnies
[Straits Times] A TRADITIONAL healer in Pahang raped three women and their mother under the guise of bringing religious knowledge to them, Berita Harian reported.
I think this was a movie with Ron Jeremy. I never saw it, though.
I did.
The suspect first preyed on the mother, leading her to his house where he allegedly cast a spell on the woman in her 50s before sexually assaulting her.
"You are getting sleepy... You are getting very sleepy!... You are getting horny!... You are getting very horny!..."
He then told her he wanted to go to her house to pass on some religious material to her three daughters, in their 20s and 30s.
"I got some religious goods fer yer daughters right here!"
Wow, look at that...a vibrating Kaaba!
'The woman, apparently not conscious of what she was doing, followed his every bidding and brought him to her home near Rompin,' district police chief Deputy Supt Johari Jahaya said, adding that the women became his sex slaves since January.
And you can guess why they call it Rompin'...
If Rompin is a rockin, don't bother knockin...
He said initial investigations showed that one of the daughters had been raped at least seven times by the suspect, who is believed to be practising a deviant religious belief.
Hmmmmmm...this thing have a name? Can we guess?
The case came to light when the husband of one of the victims, who works in Johor Baru, went to look for his wife to find out why she had not returned to their home for several months.
"Hmmm... That's funny. I haven't seen Martha for several months now. Perhaps I should go look for her..."
On reaching his mother-in-law's house on March 15, the man saw the four women in a state of trance.
"Martha! Martha! Wake up, Martha!"
The suspect, who was at the house at that time, was overpowered in a scuffle that followed between the two men.
"Here, you! That's my wife you've been diddling for several months! [Thump!]"

Chevron Wins First New U.S. Deep-Water Drilling Permit Since Macondo
Not quite one year. A lot of drillships hung around hoping to get a chance to work again, though at least seven headed overseas - probably never to return.
Chevron Corp. (CVX) won approval for the first “completely new exploration” in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico after BP Plc (BP/)’s oil spill last year, a regulator said.

Chevron will drill in Keathley Canyon Block 736 in 6,750 feet (2,057 meters) of water, about 216 miles off the Louisiana coast.

While Chevron is the fifth company permitted to resume work in the area following the last yearÂ’s Deepwater Horizon rig explosion, itÂ’s the first to be allowed to tap a reservoir that has never produced.

Worst Texas Drought in 44 Years Hits U.S. Wheat, Beef Supply
Say "Hello" to higher food prices!
The worst Texas drought in 44 years is damaging the state's wheat crop and forcing ranchers to reduce cattle herds, as rising demand for U.S. food sends grain and meat prices higher.

Texas, the biggest U.S. cattle producer and second-largest winter-wheat grower, got just 4.7 inches (12 centimeters) of rain on average in the five months through February, the least for the period since 1967, State Climatologist John Nielsen- Gammon said. More than half the wheat fields and pastures were rated in poor or very poor condition on March 20.

Dry conditions extending to Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado may cut crop yields in the U.S., the world's largest exporter, as too much moisture threatens fields in North Dakota and in Canada. Wheat futures in Chicago are up 50 percent in the past year, after drought in Russia and floods in Australia hurt output and sent global food prices surging. Wholesale beef reached a record this week, and the U.S. cattle herd in January was the smallest since 1958.

Japanese food being checked for radiation; breakthrough at N-plant
[Arab News] The Kingdom launched an inspection drive Monday to check for possible contamination in food imported from Japan in response to reports of radiation leaks from Japanese nuclear power plants following a tsunami and earthquake in the country.

An official from the Saudi Food Drug Authority (SFDA) told Arab News on Tuesday that action was being taken in line with the authority's efforts to monitor and control food products imported into the Kingdom to ensure they are safe for consumption. He said the SFDA has been following up on reports of Japanese food products polluted by radiation due to leakage from nuclear reactors in the Fukushima area after the earthquake hit them on March 11.

Official Japanese reports revealed some food produced in Japan such as milk, green onions and spinach were polluted by radiation.

Health authorities around the world have expressed concern over agricultural products being potentially exposed to radiation in Japan after it was confirmed the Fukushima Daiichi plant was leaking. The SFDA, in a statement on Monday, assured consumers that all food imports from Japan available in the local markets prior to the accident were safe and fit for consumption.

Imports of Japanese food products are minimal, except for the popular nut snacks freely available in food stores in the Kingdom.

"However,
The over-used However...
the SFDA is inspecting all foods imported from Japan after the catastrophe to ensure they are safe," the official said.

He added that the authority would continue to monitor news and updates from Japan and communicate with international bodies concerned as well as gather information on the possible contamination of food.

Japan's neighboring countries such as Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and parts of China, have begun screening imported Japanese food for radiation. Italy has banned all Japanese food imports outright. The European Union has also issued an alert recommending radiation checks on all imports that have come out of Japan since March 15.

Meanwhile,
...back at the abandoned silver mine...
workers reconnected power lines to all six reactor units at the radiation-leaking nuclear plant Tuesday, its operator said, marking a significant step in bringing the overheated complex under control.

In making an announcement after days of anxious waiting by the public, Tokyo Electric Power Co. cautioned that much work needed to be done before the electricity can be turned on. Workers are checking all additional equipment for damage to make sure cooling systems can be safely operated, Tokyo Electric said.

In another advance, emergency crews dumped 18 tons of seawater into a nearly boiling storage pool holding spent nuclear fuel, cooling it to 50 degrees Celsius, Japan's nuclear safety agency said.

Steam, possibly carrying radioactive elements, had been rising for two days from the reactor building, and the move lessens the chances that more radiation will seep into the air.

Added up, the power lines and concerted dousing bring authorities closer to ending a nuclear crisis that has complicated the government's response to the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan's northeast coast 11 days ago.

Tunisian reform process marred by differences
[Maghrebia] Political reform suffered a blow in Tunisia late last week, when debates at the first meeting of a new commission turned into accusations and insults.

The High Commission for the Realisation of Revolutionary Goals, Political Reforms and Democratic Transition convened Thursday (March 17th) in Tunis to discuss the country's move towards a democratic government, but the agenda quickly changed as attendees questioned the presence of supporters of former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali's regime. Also in question was the absence from the commission of representatives from certain provinces, young people and women.

Participants also expressed concern at the exclusion of some parties belonging to the January 14th Front, which was the first entity to request a council for the protection of the revolution with decision-making rights.

"I accept the criticisms that have been made against the commission, especially regarding the absence of young people, women and a number of parties," said commission head Iyad ben Achour at the end of the meeting. "I hope that this will be fixed as soon as possible."

Ben Achour stressed, however, that the failure of the commission "would threaten Tunisia", and that concord was the most important thing for the future.

The commission, which consists of 12 parties, 42 national figures and 17 civil society and national organisations, was created February 18th under presidential decree. Its mission is to examine laws related to political organisation and to propose specific reforms in keeping with the demands of the revolution.

The institution is also expected to observe the conduct of the interim government and to draft legislation on the election of a constituent assembly on July 24th.

The commission was initially called the "High Committee for Political Reform", but following pressure from the people, the January 14th Front and the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT), was expanded and renamed to guarantee the protection of the people's interests.

The transitional government has expressed its support of the commission. At the opening of Thursday's meeting, interim President Foued Mebazaa said: "The state is keen on ensuring the independence of this commission and not intervening in its work."

He added: "I hope that the members will make the best choices to ensure that legal provisions are established that respond to the aspirations of Tunisians about a real democratic transition."

Morocco's Amazigh push for language recognition
[Maghrebia] For years, Morocco's Amazigh community pressed for the consitutionalisation of the Amazigh language. King Mohammed VI's pledge to implement comprehensive reforms instilled hope that their dream might soon come true.

In his March 9th speech, the Moroccan sovereign emphasised "the rich, variegated yet unified character of the Moroccan identity, including the Amazigh component as a core element and common asset belonging to all Moroccans".

"The speech prompts the legal framework to promote the Amazigh culture," Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture (IRCAM) director Ahmed Boukous told Magharebia. "Making the Amazigh language part of the constitution means for us the development and provision of legal protection for the Amazigh culture."

Others, however, caution that it's too early to believe the king's words and urge patience to see the content of the constitution, which will be proposed by the consultative commission set up by the king.

"The royal speech brings about a positive step, and we hope that it will be followed by a series of important steps, especially the literal texts about the fact that the Amazigh language is an official language," Amazigh League of Human Rights chief Boubaker Ounghir told Magharebia.

"We hope that the constitutional revision commission will take into account the legitimate demands of the Amazigh movement," he said.

Ounghir, however, complained that the determination "came late for the fact that this demand was adopted years ago by some international organisations such as the Human Rights Council, with the aim to restore the value of the cultural and linguistic dimensions of Tamazight."

To discuss the issue, a number of Amazigh activists gathered March 12th-13th in Agadir.

According to researcher and member of Amazigh Observatory for Rights and Freedoms (OADL) Meryem Demnati, the activists fear that the Amazigh identity will be relegated to the second order after the constitutional reforms.

"For us, the word identity must be included, but what matters most is that the Amazigh language must be an official language as well as Arabic, not just a simple national language in the constitution," she said.

If the committee only focuses on the Amazigh identity and not on making their language official, it will be "dangerous", according to Amazigh researcher and activist Ahmed Assid.

"It means that the Amazigh movement will boycott the referendum," he threatened.

The community is preparing a document with proposals that concern the constitutional reform of the Amazigh language as well as regionalisation to submit to the commission, according to Amazigh activist Mohamed Moussaoui. Activists are also lobbying by forming groups that will be in charge of contacting political parties and non-governmental organisations to explain their position.

Cameroon forces say kill 18 in sea clash after bank raid
[Arab News] Cameroon's security forces have killed at least 18 gunnies suspected of having carried out a weekend raid on banks in the seaside town of Douala, the country's military said on Tuesday.

The gunnies, and one member of the security forces, were killed in a shootout at sea, Major General Sali Mohamadou, commander of the second military unit in Douala, told state radio. A security source said the clash took place on Saturday as the gang neared the Nigerian border.

Up to nine people were killed in the bank raid on Friday night, the latest in a series on attacks by seaborne gunnies in the Gulf of Guinea, which produces three million barrels of oil per day but has pockets of insecurity.

"This is a warning to all that anyone who dares such an act in Cameroon again will not run away. We will always catch up with them," Mohamadou said.

Mohamadou did not say how much money was stolen from the branches of Ecobank and First Trust Bank. Two gunnies were being questioned, he added.

A security source told Rooters that a gang of about 25 arrived in a Douala suburb by speedboat before blowing their way into the banks and making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

State radio reported that five people were killed in the bank raid but the security source put the toll at nine.

The incident comes days ahead of a US -led multinational maritime exercise planned off Cameroon's coast, part of broader efforts to improve security.

While piracy on the east coast of Africa is not on the scale as off Somalia, there are fears it is on the rise in a region poorly equipped to handle the threat.

Kuwait MPs seek to quiz top official
[Arab News] Opposition politicians are seeking to question a senior government official over alleged misuse of public funds in housing deals and other projects.

Tuesday's formal request to question deputy prime minister for economic affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, is the latest push by Kuwait's anti-government bloc to draw attention to accusations of political abuses by the government and the ruling family.

Kuwait has the Gulf's most powerful Parliament. It has twice brought no-confidence motions against the prime minister, who survived both times.

The latest accusations claim Sheikh Ahmad mishandled public funds in contracts for housing and sporting events. The questioning is expected on April 5.

China-Japan-Koreas
U.S. considers mandatory evacuations in Yokosuka
From March 22nd: if true, it has implications for the U.S. Navy's long-standing forward basing of a carrier task force in Japan. It may be a prudent measure to ensure that military dependents and less-essential personnel are kept safe, or it may an uncharacteristic 'Brave Sir Robin' move at a time when we need to show quiet resolve.
Washington (CNN) -- The U.S. military is considering the mandatory evacuation of thousands of American troops and their families in Japan out of concern over rising radiation levels, a senior defense official tells CNN.

The official says there are no discussions to evacuate all U.S. troops across the country. The talks have focused exclusively on U.S. troops in Yokosuka, just south of Tokyo, the official said. Yokosuka is home to America's largest naval base in Japan. The military is monitoring radiation levels on a constant basis.

As of Monday, the U.S. Navy had no more warships in port at the base. The aircraft carrier USS George Washington, which had been undergoing maintenance in Yokosuka, left port Monday to get away from the plume of radioactive particles that could blow over the base. Because it left port with a much smaller than normal crew, the George Washington will not take part in the Japanese relief effort.
The GW essentially skedaddled. That's a serious effort to get the carrier out of maintenance and with whatever crew could be rounded up, get her to sea. Just a precaution or are the radiation readings in Tokyo high enough to be alarming?
The official said the talks originated with Pacific Command, the military authority that directly oversees U.S. troops in the region, but "discussions have since taken place here in Washington as well."

A second defense official at Pacific Command, who would not go on the record for the same reason, would only say they "are monitoring the situation, and will continue to do so and keep our families informed. Prudent planning always happens."

An official statement released by U.S. Pacific Command, which oversees all military operations in Asia, states that the only evacuations being performed now are under State Department guidelines, which calls for voluntary evacuations of military family members, paid for by the U.S. government.

A flight carrying 154 military family members left Japan Monday, flying into Seattle/Tacoma International Airport, according to Lt. Commander Bill Lewis, a spokesman for U.S. Northern Command. That followed a flight that departed Saturday with 230 people on board.
Is this strictly a short-term safety precaution or does it pre-sage a longer term shuffle of our assets in the region? It looks a little panicky even as it may be little more than reassuring dependents who don't want to run any risks.

#1  Yeeep.

Its gonna take a while for Nippon to effectively stabilize Fukushima Reax 1-4, espec #3 + #4. As illustrated by today's AM Net News, anything can still go [horribly?]wrong at Fukushima despite progress made.

OTOH, I've been telling various Guam locals that IMO 2011-2020/2025 US EXISTENTIAL POWER + INFLUENCE in Asia-Pacific, + indeed the World, will be challenged on a scale not seen by AMers since WW2 or prior, or perhaps vee the Cuban Missle Crisis, ESPEC IFF RADICAL ISLAM SUCCESSFULLY GOES NUCLEAR IN 2012 OR SHORTLY THEREAFTER. THIS TIME PERIOD MAY BE THE ONLY TIME GUAM + CNMI HAVE TO ATTEMPT + ACHIEVE REALISTIC FORMAL INTEGRATION + RE-UNIFICATION AS A SINGLE POLITY BEFORE EVENTS OVERWHELM THE US-WORLD.

The ABOVE + 9-11 + WAR-FOR-PRO-US-VERSUS-ANTI-US OWG-NWO, ETC. is why I tell Guam Locals that POLITICAL STATUS = SELF-DETERMINATION may be the single most important issue for the People of Guam + CNMI despite any rhetoric, appearances to the contrary. WWII vet, 95, learns he's not a U.S. citizen

CENTRALIA, Wash. -- A 95-year-old military veteran just discovered he's not a U.S. citizen.

"We went up to get an enhanced driver's license and they turned me down," he said.

He was rejected because it turns out the World War II veteran is Canadian.

Meanwhile, in line behind him, were dozens of illegal aliens getting regular drivers licenses....

Davidson knew he was born in British Columbia in 1916.

Davidson, who joined the Navy and served our country, is now a man on a mission to prove he's American.

"I want it squared away before I passed away," he said.

But proving his parents were American was a project.

"My Dad was born and we called Iowa and (they) didn't start keeping records until 1880 and he was born in 1878," Davidson said.

Davidson questioned his citizenship back in the 1940's when he joined the Navy but received a letter from an attorney that said everything was fine. He says he forgot about it until recently, and he still has that letter.

The Problem Solves [a KOMO News people] spoke with Sen. Patty Murray's office and received an application for citizenship, and since Davidson is a veteran it won't cost him any money.
Some help Comrade Murray is.
"I'm an American citizen," Davidson said. "Why should I have to fill out these forms, that's what irks me."

(no comments on the Pole Dancing for Jesus story...)

She did have a baptismal certificate, but it spelled her name differently than what she had been using since then. The State Department wasn't mollified until she submitted a letter from her mother (who was about 85 at the time) attesting to her birth & the name she went by. I don't know what she would have done had her mother not been around.

Breakthrough In Ballistic Missile Tracking
A pair of low Earth-orbiting demonstration satellites built by Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems for the first time on March 16 detected and tracked a ballistic missile launch through all phases of flight, a Northrop Grumman official said March 22.

So-called birth-to-death tracking of a ballistic missile launch had never been done before from space and is the most significant achievement to date for the Space Tracking and Surveillance System (STSS) spacecraft, said Doug Young, Northrop GrummanÂ’s vice president of missile defense and warning programs.

Today, Navy Aegis ships are only able to launch interceptors to defeat ballistic missiles after they are detected by the shipÂ’s own radar. If the interceptors can be fired based on cuing from forward-based sensors, the area that each ship can defend from missiles is greatly increased.

The Navy and MDA plan to conduct the first Aegis launch-on-remote intercept test next month, for which a forward-based AN/TPY-2 X-band radar will cue the launch of a Standard Missile (SM)-3 interceptor before the target missile is detected by the shipÂ’s radar.

Similarly, the STSS demonstration satellites later this year will attempt to track a target missile and feed data to the Aegis system to generate a “fire control solution” for an early interceptor launch, Young said. However, an interceptor will not actually be launched in that test, he noted.

Meanwhile, the MDA is pursuing an operational constellation of geosynchronous missile tracking satellites dubbed the Precision Tracking Space System. The agency will rely on the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Md., to develop a prototype system to be launched in 2015. An industry team is expected to be chosen in 2014 to build between nine and 12 operational spacecraft planned to begin launching in 2018.

Arizona Company Set to Unveil Revolutionary Ballistic Helmet
Bourque Industries, Inc. (OTC:BORK) will unveil its new Kryronized aluminum alloy ballistic helmet at a live-fire demonstration in Mesa, Ariz. This new technology will bring unprecedented ballistic protection -- the ability to withstand rifle fire -- to military and law enforcement personnel in a package that meets all other required specifications.
N.B.: This is a listed company, not an April Fools gag.
To the best knowledge of Bourque Industries, no other available technology can provide a similar level of protection while meeting required weight criteria. The helmet joins other recently introduced Kryronized aluminum products in the Bourque Industries line, including Class III ballistic armor strike plates. All Bourque Industries armor products exceed the NIJ-06 standard, the most comprehensive and rigorous body armor compliance standard that exists today.

Kryronized aluminum is a proprietary metal alloy developed by Bourque Industries that displays many useful characteristics unlike any other metal, among them excellent ballistic protection as a function of weight, a very high melting point, and the unique property of being an excellent conductor of electricity, but an insulator for heat.
McCoy: "How do we know he's the one who invents kryronized aluminum?"
Scotty: "How do we know that he isn't?"
The commercial and industrial applications for Kryron are almost innumerable. Ballistic armor is only the first commercialized application for Kryron.

The media are invited to a live-fire demonstration of this new armor technology for Arizona elected officials, Mexican government representatives, and military and law enforcement personnel.

Bourque Industries has already accepted a number of orders for its personal armor ballistic plates and continues to solicit further interest. Bourque Industries is also bidding on various other projects, such as manufacturing ballistic panels to reinforce military and civilian buildings, including courthouses.

#9  Hupailing Ebbuns (The Same): Metallic aluminum is highly reactive with oxygen, but it rapidly develops a very thin, protective layer of aluminum oxide, chemically similar to sapphire, which is extremely hard and protects it from further oxidation.

My guess is that they are using some coating on their aluminum that is chemically similar to aluminum oxide and takes its place, is as hard or harder than aluminum oxide, and is also insulating to heat, but conductive to electricity.

N.B.: Diamond is just the opposite, as it is insulating to electricity, but impressively conductive to heat. For this reason, tiny particles of diamond are spray on some silicon chips before they are stacked, so the chips do not overheat, but also do not ground each other.

Southeast Asia
Philippine official: Military graft staggering
[Straits Times] A 'STAGGERING' amount of Philippine military funds disappeared in recent years, a defence official said on Wednesday, promising new safeguards to prevent future corruption.

Long entrenched in Philippine society, corruption is an especially explosive issue in the inadequately equipped and underfunded military and has sparked several rebellions by disgruntled troops in the past 25 years.

Department of National Defence front man Eduardo Batac would not say exactly how much money has gone missing, but said that an investigation's initial findings indicated massive corruption.

'Evidently, there were irregularities that were committed,' Mr Batac told a news conference.

'Even to us at the department and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the amounts involved are staggering.'

In the latest corruption scandal to rock the 126,000-strong military, former military budget officer Lt Col George Rabusa testified before the Senate in January that three former military chiefs of staff pocketed millions of dollars in funds intended for combat, intelligence, troop salaries and a military hospital.

Laos needs emergency food aid
[Straits Times] MORE than 111,000 people in impoverished Laos will need emergency food aid before the next harvest, the United Nations
... aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
World Food Programme said on Wednesday.

The WFP said shortages of rice in the communist-run country's south and centre stem from a combination of weather factors last year - dry spells, a late rainy season and flash floods.

'We're now raising funds' to support an emergency rice distribution probably in June or July, filling a gap before the harvest which occurs around November, WFP front man Cornelia Patz told AFP.

In the meantime, villagers will have to use stocks from the last harvest or buy rice in the market but prices are now 'very, very high compared to last year", she said.

A joint study by the WFP and the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) said weather shocks 'impacted already vulnerable households' in areas that had not fully recovered from Tropical Storm Ketsana.

Ketsana struck in October 2009 and led to some of the worst flooding in Laotian history. It killed at least 11 people, caused more than US$100 million (S$126.5 million) damage, and prompted a government appeal for international help.

Oh really. Choosing to ignore the tens of thousands who die annually from solar radiation induced skin cancers? There's a difference between 'safe' and 'nothing you can do about it'.

Tulsa policeman sues after rejecting Islamic event
Captain Paul Fields is suing the City of Tulsa after being reassigned for refusing to order his officers to attend a Law Enforcement Appreciation Day event at the Islamic Center of Tulsa. Fields said it is a violation of his religious beliefs.

A law firm specializing in "defending the religious freedom of Christians as well as well as countering the infiltration of radical Muslims in America" has joined in his lawsuit.

The Thomas More Law Center announced Wednesday that it will join Tulsa attorney Scott Wood to "defend Captain Fields' constitutional right not to become a propaganda prop for the local mosque."

"This case is an astonishing example of a double standard," TMLC President Richard Thompson said. "If this were a Catholic or Protestant prayer event, no one would have been ordered to attend, and no one would have been punished for refusing to attend."

"It is a prime example of government officials over-stepping their authority when it comes to government intrusion on an employee's constitutionally protected freedoms."

Fields has filed a civil rights action alleging that the city and its officials violated his basic constitutional rights by ordering him to the mosque under penalty of adverse employment consequences.
More here, including the allegation that the Islamic center has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Military Issues New Homosexual Indoctrination Doctrine
Four branches of the military have begun sending training material to 2.2 million active and reserve troops as a prelude to opening the ranks to homosexuals.

The briefings first target commanders, who will have to enforce the new law and deal with disputes, and then the entire force. The slides, vignettes and talking points by the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps are similar.

The Marine Corps, which a Pentagon survey found holds deep opposition to lifting the ban, plans to publicly release its training material April 1.

Soldiers may not seek an early discharge because they do not want to live or serve with homosexuals. Same-sex partners of service members do not qualify for medical, housing or travel benefits.
What is not written down is that under no circumstances will the murder of a homosexual be officially because of their sexuality. Any other motive will do.

#2  Soldiers may not seek an early discharge because they do not want to live or serve with homosexuals.

The conditions of contract, at the time of signing, have been broken. When a contract is broken, either both parties must reach a new agreement or the contract is no longer binding. Whose civil rights are now being violated? So much for 'get a new job' as the Chairman articulated. So much for the lie that it would not effect military readiness or cohesion.

#4  Same-sex partners of service members do not qualify for medical, housing or travel benefits.

Oh really. Show up with a marriage certificate from a state and you stand in violation of the equal protection clause of the Constitution. For those too young to remember, at one time the services denied 'equal' benefits to female service members who married. That went to the federal courts and the services lost. Who ever sold this line to the 'leadership' lied through their teeth. This is the 'get out of the barrack' opportunities for all service members. Just when did you discovered you lost control?

#5  Same-sex partners of service members do not qualify for medical, housing or travel benefits.

...See, this was the POINT of the whole damned effort. When a same-sex military couple gets married in DC (where it's legal)and then takes their marriage license to the Pentagon, they're going to get housing, medical, and everything else, and they gay marriage debate will be over. Once the first same sex couple gets full bennies on a military base, it's legal everywhere and that's that.

#8  There are 2 major problems that these "politically correct" idiots ignore:

1) Soldiers live is very cramped conditions (by civlian standards). Therefore, what would be a private moment in civilian life will be shared with everyone in your squad: If a gay soldier has a craving for your derriere or your p*n*s, he's going to be able to look at it several times a day. You can read what it's like at Guantanamo where prisoners masturbate while staring at the prison guards. Only now it'll be your squad mate instead of someone behind bars.

2) People in the chain of command have much more authority over subordinates than in the civilian world. The problem will be when a gay sargeant or officer has to deal with someone who's screwed up for the fith time. "Do you want a court martial? Or maybe we can work something out."

During both world wars the British, French, German and Japanese armies all had these problems. In many units the smallest/weakest/dumbest one in the platoon became the sexual receptical for the other men.

Muslim armies still have this problem today. Google "Manlove Thursday Afghanistan" if you don't believe me. This is what our military will be like if we don't watch it.
Posted by: Frozen Al || 03/24/2011 12:24 Comments || Top||

#9  What this amounts to, in effect, is a protocol to murder homosexuals in the military. The problematic part is the "open season" on declared homosexuals, vs those individuals who are *suspected* of being homosexuals, so whose lives are at risk.

Since no major unit commander will permit the murder of a homosexual to be classified as such, to protect his unit from persecution, there will be an overall increase in homicides for other reasons. Even the murderer will be told that he will get a lesser sentence if he provides a different, any different, motive than the victim's sexuality.

Because the *accusation*, likely malicious, that someone is a homosexual, could result in their murder, previously, if true, that individual would be shipped out promptly for their own protection. However, it can now be used as an effective means for disgruntled subordinates to get a disliked superior transferred.

Or worse, killed. Once it has happened enough, any unmarried personnel will be at risk from the accusation, with potentially severe damage to unit morale and cohesion.

#10  Or worse, killed. Once it has happened enough, any unmarried personnel will be at risk from the accusation, with potentially severe damage to unit morale and cohesion.
