#1 Nothing but trouble. Bridges and dams made by China have high failure rate. Materials supplied by the lowest bidder. Earthquakes, landslides all will be the result. Possibly 500-800 foot tsunami over the top. I wonder how many communities lost to high water levels. Doesn't matter. Congress gives a pass; as they do here, and off they go. Three gorges is falling apart now. China has always been a bad neighbor.

#2 Commies love them humungous white elephants. Watch this one look super dpectulare and then cause all sorts of environmental damages from oversilting to total collapse.
And the Indians will have a say in 5his. Watch sudden equipment failures and raw materials never making it to the construction site

#8 This is for the USA as a whole. It was worse on the west coast but still bad on the east coast.

The BLS has prices per year for various construction products. Below is a site for info on the situation for the mid atlantic. Go to the historical table and pick your years. Three Gorges started construction in the mid 90s and the peak was in the 2003 to 2008 or so.
