#2 To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee.

The pain she inflicts upon herself in her last days is of her own making.

#3 Her condition must give the DNC fits. Then again, with people like Justice Roberts on SCOTUS, maybe the Dems are not worried.

#4 /\ Justice Roberts is preoccupied at the moment. One of his stalwart colleagues may soon be spitting blood laden chyme.

#6 I have her going in July as that would be the maximum chaos to inflict on the election. The way 2020 is going I wouldn't be surprised.

#7 What are the odds the senate Republicans will "take the high road" and not confirm a replacement until after the election?

#8 #7 Fairly good, given the record.

#9 @7

It is an interesting quandary. An open liberal/progressive seat, especially one that was held by a person they worship, may cause them to come out in force for the election.

Then again, a quick replacement may as well.

I think it is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

Maybe nominate a left-moderate woman of color but not confirm. Once the election is over withdraw it and put who you wanted in there? I guess it depends on who holds the senate after November.

#11 "What are the odds the senate Republicans will "take the high road" and not confirm a replacement until after the election?"

Only need a handful of the limpest wrists to defect to make this happen. Looking at you Romney, Murkowski and Snowe. The alternative might even be worse. They allow a vote, but only on a 'moderate.'

#12  What are the odds the senate Republicans will "take the high road" and not confirm a replacement until after the election?

Slim to none. President Trump and Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell disagree in a number of key areas, but they strongly agree on the need to get as many conservative, Constitution-minded judges on the federal bench as possible in the time they have. It was not long ago reported that the two are within a few approvals of the record for most judges approved for a single president, and most judges approved fastest — the previous record holder having accomplished a similar number over two terms, not less than a full term.

I’d love to see them propose and approve Kayleigh McEnany to replace Justice Ginsburg for the sheer entertainment value over the next half century, but I don’t expect that wish to be granted.
