I don't talk bad about people's looks. I have to look in the mirror.
As a beauty I'm not a great star
There are others more fair by far
My face
I don't mind it
Because I'm behind it
It's the people in front that I jar

I have a similar problem. People I have never met hate me when I walk into a room, and want to fight. Children cry upon first glimpse of me. Some dogs hate me, most mutts love me. A karma burden, maybe. Nothing I can do about it. I sleep well.

He does kind of have that deer in the head lights look. Victorian era photographs can be hard to judge since the photographers were known to lock them in place while "burning" in the emulsions on glass plates in the earlier years. Also notice that poor girls eyebrows . She may be well endowed?
On July 5 Patrick Chambers, 46, stabbed two elderly white men with scissors on subway
Chambers was taken to a local hospital for a psychological evaluation and charged with two counts of assault, two counts of menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, which cops recovered from the suspect
Attack came as New York City sees a surge in violence, particularly shootings
Shootings last month in New York City were up 130 per cent year on year - from 89 shootings last year to 205 this year.
During the July 4 weekend the city saw 21 shootings that left 44 people injured and eight dead

Black attacker, elderly white victims... What was that game the yoots used to play on the streets a few summers ago, when they would walk past a target then suddenly attack them, just for giggles? Some of the victims ended up hospitalized. I vote it’s either that or the miscreant is naturally or artificially nuts. The fact that he was sent straight for a psych evaluation is suggestive.
I’d bet good money he was also recently released from prison so he wouldn’t catch the coronavirus, and his rap sheet is long and repetitive.

g(r)omgoru, the photos at the link show the attacker was dark.
Frank G and Abu Uluque, knockout game is what I meant — wilding was some years earlier and involved a group of miscreants against a single target. Both are equally vicious in intent, and pretty much involve the same people, but we do try to stay current with ever-changing fashions in vocabulary.

A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang... police body camera video shows eight shots were fired in five frenzied seconds Friday during a fatal incident on the city's northwest side that sparked protests in which bottles, bricks and other projectiles were thrown at officers.
Detroit police released the body camera video, along with another video from a squad car's dashboard camera which showed officers fatally shooting 20-year-old Hakim Littleton after he pulled a pistol from his left pocket and opened fire.
Detroit police chief James Craig said he released the video hours after the incident to quell "a false narrative" that the shooting was unjustified. The "erroneous information that was put out has incited violence," Craig said during a presser at Public Safety Headquarters.

[ToloNews] Despite international calls for a reduction of violence in Afghanistan, violence and war continue to grip the Afghan people in various regions of the country, inflicting a high corpse count.
On Saturday, at least 9 non-combatants were killed and eight more maimed in separate incidents in Ghazni, Faryab and Maidan Wardak provinces.
At least six non-combatants were killed and eight more were maimed in a roadside kaboom explosion in the Dara-e-Qiaq area of Jaghatu district of Ghazni province, said Wahidullah Jumazada, a front man for Ghazni's governor.
The incident occurred after a vehicle carrying civilians in the area struck a roadside kaboom and women and kiddies were among the casualties, said Jumazada.
No group has so far grabbed credit for the attack.
Meanwhile, ...back at the Alamo, Davy was counting their remaining cannon balls and not liking the results... Mohibullah Sharifzai, a front man for the Maidan Wardak governor, said that three members of a family were killed as a result of a mortar round hitting their house in Sultankhel village of Sayedabad district on Saturday.
"A man and his two sons are among the victims," said Sharifzai.
He said that a probe team has been assigned to investigate which warring side fired the mortar round.
However, those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things... local residents who gathered in front of a military base in Maidan Wardak accused the government forces of firing the mortar.
In Faryab district, a man killed his two daughters and one son in a stabbing incident in PD2 of the lovely provincial capital Maimana, police confirmed.
Police in Faryab said that the incident was an act of domestic violence.
Police have arrested the attacker who is a drug addict.
[ToloNews] The National Security Council (NSC) on Saturday released data on civilian casualties, saying 23 non-combatants were killed and 45 others were maimed in Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... violence over the last week.
The Taliban has not responded.
Figures by the National Security Council indicate that 16 provinces of the country have witnessed 284 attacks by the Taliban in the last seven days.
NSC front man Javed Faisal said in a tweet that "the Taliban continue to take the lives of civilians in Afghanistan" and that "this violent mostly peaceful phase of attacks on civilians can only deteriorate the already shaken trust on the will of the Taliban."
According to data from the NSC, the violence happened in 16 provinces, including Kabul, Kandahar, Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. and Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... This comes a day after an official of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights (AIHRC) called for practical steps by the Taliban to reduce violence.
Abdullah Abdullah ...the former foreign minister of the Northern Alliance government, advisor to Masood, and candidate for president against both Karzai and Ghani. Dr. Abdullah was born in Kabul and is half Tadjik and half Pashtun. He also held the meaningless salaried sop position as CEO of Afghanistan, while Ghani was president... , head of the High Council for National Reconciliation who with a speech closed a consultative meeting on peace with envoys from 20 countries, on Thursday called the level of violence by the Taliban unacceptable and urged for efforts to move the grinding of the peace processor forward.
Statistics by AIHRC show that 86,823 non-combatants were killed and maimed in 2019 in Afghanistan.
But a Taliban front man has claimed that the attacks initiated by the group have reduced by 60 percent. In the US-Taliban deal, the Taliban committed to not attack cities and highways in the country.
Critics say that Taliban violence will continue at least until the US elections in November, because of the uncertainty of the fate of the US-Taliban deal signed in February.
[ToloNews] Kabul residents and a number of military commentators on Saturday strongly criticized the Afghan intelligence agencies and the security institutions for their failure to provide security for the people in the capital city, saying Kabul witnessed 14 IED blasts over the past ten days targeting government vehicles.
In the latest incident, a top officer of the Ministry of Defense and his driver were maimed after an IED hit their vehicle in PD16 of Kabul city.
"The honorable officer has experienced some shock. His driver and other colleagues who were maimed have been shifted to a 400-bed hospital," said Yousuf Ahmadi, a relative of the officer.
"We are being destroyed, everyone who dies their families become devastated," said Gula Jan, a resident in Kabul.
"When there is negligence, there are more tragedies," said Sherzai, a resident in Kabul.
"There are vacuums within the security institutions and these vacuums undermine the prevention of these blasts, there are circles who do not want the people to live in peace," said Hussain Ahmad, a resident in Kabul.
Last week a similar blast targeted government vehicles in PD11 and an attack on an NDS vehicle in PD16 resulted in injuries to at least ten military personnel and civilians.
"The fundamental aspect behind the recent blasts in Kabul, insecurities and IED blasts is rooted in the poor management and in the lack of a working strategy in Afghanistan’s security agencies," said military expert Jawed Kohistan ...a backwoods district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa distinguished by being even more rustic than is the norm among the local Pashtuns.... i.
The parliament has summoned the security officials to speak to the fragile security situation in Kabul, but the security officials have failed to appear before the politicians four times over the past few weeks.
[KhaamaPress] An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion killed or maimed at least five children in southern Zabul province of Afghanistan.
The 205th Atal Corps in a statement said the forces of Evil had planted an Improvised Explosive Device on a roadside in Qalat, the thriving provincial capital of Zabul.
The statement further added that the forces of Evil had planted the roadside kaboom to target the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
However, ars longa, vita brevis... the 205th Atal Corps said the earth-shattering kaboom killed three children and maimed two others who were later transported to health facilities by security forces.
The anti-government armed snuffies including Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... have not commented regarding the incident so far.
Taliban and other armed snuffies frequently use improvised bombs to target the security forces but majority of such attacks inflict casualties on ordinary civilians.

I‘ve just returned from spending a few hours in front of the Confederate Defender’s Monument with two dozen other wonderful people at the Battery in Charleston, SC. BLM was protesting across the street.
Antifa rioters racially profile and accuse two men of being “rednecks.” A black bloc group surrounds them and kicks them out of the Portland public park. As seen elsewhere, antifa claim territory of a public space & dictate by force who can be in it. pic.twitter.com/KxXhDu6jbX
Antifa rioters tried breaking into the federal courthouse last night. One person used a hammer to attack a federal officer on the head. https://t.co/pGs01mvt0a
So ignorant. “Wherever two or more of you are gathered in My name.” It’s never been about the building, however beautiful the basilicas and cathedrals, or even the Temple in Jerusalem — twice built and twice destroyed.
[PJMEDIA] Amid nationwide riots following protests over the horrific police killing of George Floyd, Black Lives Matter activists harassed a Baptist church in Troy, N.Y., a suburb of Albany. Videos of the harassment went viral on Twitter, and the church confirmed to PJ Media that the harassment did, in fact, occur."On Sunday, June 28, the Marxist thugs screamed, chanted, harassed, blocked our steps from allowing people to enter the church, and then physically assaulted our church members," John Koletas, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, told PJ Media on Thursday.
The harassment did not end on Sunday, however. "On June 29, Monday evening, after asking to be allowed into our church services, as long as they behaved, I allowed 15-20 of these BLM Marxists to come into our church building accompanied by two or three Troy coppers," the pastor added. "After some preaching, singing, and an invitation to trust Christ, they left chanting and screaming vulgarities and obscenities on their way out."
Koletas dubbed the Black Lives Matter activists "Marxist thugs" because the leaders of the official Black Lives Matter movement have identified themselves as Marxist and have adopted a Marxist political platform. Americans of goodwill should all agree that black lives matter, but the official movement seeks to weaponize the righteous anger over the death of George Floyd to further its radical agenda.
Kevin Hodge and his identical twin, Keith, who perform as conservative comedians and podcasters, shared three video clips of the harassment on YouTube.
As a mother approaches the church building, activists shout at her, "Why are you bringing a baby into a church?!" Others chant, "This is no house of God," and "Save those kids!"
A second clip shows Black Lives Matter activists becoming more active, chanting, "Whose streets? Our streets!" and then punching a church leader.
The final clip shows Black Lives Matter activists leaving the church after the service on Monday. One man yells, "I’m not Christian, boy!" A woman shouts, "Get the f*** out of my face!" The usher responds, "Jesus loves you."

Classic tactic, made easier in this Age of Silica.
[Rudaw] Iraqi security forces and Kurdish counter-terrorism units on Saturday launched the fourth stage of an operation against Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) gunnies in areas disputed between Baghdad and Erbil in Diyala province.
Abdul-Ameer Kamil al-Shamiri, deputy commander of Iraqi Joint Operations Command, said in a statement on Saturday that they launched the fourth stage of the "Heroes of Iraq" operation "to pursue remnant bully boyz and impose security and stability in Diyala province, as well as clearing and inspecting the border strip with the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran."
The operation is also aimed at entering the disputed areas between Iraqi forces and Peshmerga forces - areas "exploited by ISIS (ISIS) fighters to exist and carry out its terrorist operations," the statement added.
ISIS was declared territorially defeated in Iraq in December 2017. However, death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate... remnants of the group continue to operate in the disputed territories, returning to earlier insurgency tactics including ambushes, kidnappings and assassinations.
Operations to entirely clear their presence from the area have failed, and military bodies worldwide have warned the group is resurging in several locations
The Iraqi army, the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF, or Hashd al-Shaabi in Arabic), other Iraqi security forces and Kurdish counter-terrorism forces from Sulaimani province are participating in the latest phase, which targets an areas of 17,685 square kilometers. Iraqi and coalition forces will provide air support.
The first phase of the operation was announced in mid-May, with a focus on the provinces of Anbar, Nineveh and Salahaddin. Phase two was announced on June 2, targeting ISIS holdouts on the fringes of Salahaddin and Kirkuk. The third stage covered Saladin, Diyala, Samarra, and Kirkuk provinces.
The state-owned Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported Saturday morning that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi arrived at Hashd al-Shaabi’s military base in Diyala to supervise the new phase of the operation.
INA also reported the "clearance" of 27 villages in the province.
The new phase comes one day after after the third anniversary of the liberation of djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... from ISIS.
Brigadier General Yehia Rasool, spokesperson for the Iraq's Joint Operations Command told Rudaw TV on Thursday that "the Iraqi defense ministry and Peshmerga ministry are continuing their meetings to fill the security gap in the disputed areas, that can reach to 13 km square in some areas."
Rasool also explained that cooperation between Peshmerga forces and Iraqi security forces is necessary to "exchange information regarding ISIS sleeper cells in the disputed areas."
However, death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate... Peshmerga forces did not take part in Saturday’s operation.

The director of the town, Zirvan Mousa, pointed out that the Turkish forces seized the summit of Mount Shaquli, north of the Darkar District, northeast of Zakho, through this operation, which was backed by military helicopters, and established military points over the top of the mountain overlooking the village of Bousli.
The summit of the mountain has been within the range of Turkish artillery and aircraft fire since Ankara began to intensify its attacks on the border areas in the Kurdistan region in the middle of June.

Do you think the Iraqi national government and their Iranian overlords condone Sultan Erdogan the First setting up house in their country?
[IsraelTimes] Unsourced Paleostinian media report claims official escaped Strip on Israeli military vessel with a laptop, cash, and classified documents. "Tonight, on NCIS Gazoo..."
Paleostinian terror group Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, said on Saturday that a senior naval commander in its armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, had fled the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip to Israel after suspicions arose that he was working for Israel as a so-called "collaborator."
The term is used to indicate a person who is suspected of sharing information or intelligence with Israel.
The official, said to have overseen the group’s divers unit, fled the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip on an Israeli military boat with a laptop, cash, surveillance equipment, and "classified, dangerous documents," according to a media report citing "sources" on Paleostinian news site Amad media, an organization reportedly close to exiled Fatah commander Mohammad Dahlan. The report was picked up by Israel’s Channel 12 and Channel 13 news.
The report said the discovery sent Hamas big turbans into a "state of hysteria" as the group launched an investigation and made dozens of arrests in search of additional suspects in the alleged spy network. Some half a million dollars and extensive equipment were seized in an unspecified raid, according to the report.
This was the second senior Hamas commander suspected recently of aiding the Jewish state, the report said. A previous suspect, dubbed "Mahmoud," is said to have been in charge of communications networks for the Gaza City neighborhood of Shejaiya and is believed by Hamas to have been working for Israel since 2009.
The report said "Mahmoud," 32, arrested by Hamas and charged with spying for Israel.
Hamas routinely announces arrests of suspected "collaborators" in the Paleostinian enclave, many of whom are sentenced to death.
According to the sources, another senior Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, military commander was recently arrested on suspicion of collaboration with Israel.
The man, who was identified only as Mohammmed, was responsible for the group’s communication networks in the Shajjaiyeh neighborhood of Gazoo City and trained Hamas members in information gathering and anti-espionage techniques.
The sources claimed that he began working with Israeli intelligence agencies in 2009. His alleged ties with Israel were uncovered when he asked his brother to collect for him a sum of money that was left near a garbage bin. The brother was apprehended by members of the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades as he was trying to take the cash, the sources said.
The two incidents prompted Hamas to take a series of measures, including summoning several of its members for interrogation and changing its communication networks and the phone numbers of many bigwigs.

This is what prisoner exchanges are all about. Not everyone has been been turned. Problem is - the enemy doesn't know who has been. And you can't exactly put people out to pasture who have spent years in prison because of death-defying things they did for your organization. Hurts recruitment. So they put them back to work, sometime promoting people to really high-level positions. Who could be more trustworthy to Hamas or the PLO than people who sacrificed years of their lives in Israeli prisons? Would not surprise me if this defector had spent a good chunk of his life as an involuntary guest of the Israeli government, previously.
