Given Russian support for North Korea and North Vietnam, and the deaths of 100,000 GI's in the associated conflicts, I think the Russians are ahead of the game.

Ivan only remembers the assertive actions taken by others against himself. GI Joe only remembers the assertive actions he has taken against others. There's a kind of symmetry there.
