#1 Obvious response to that is embedding high explosives on the UAVs that will get triggered when diddled by the unauthorized.

#2 Weak. Is it too much to ask to include inertial navigation in there somewhere? Sorta reminds me of how the F-4 originally came out without a cannon.

#3  At the US UAV squadrons now have the excuse to fly bombs into Iranian facilities & blame the Iranians for doing it to themselves.

#6 The method alluded to in the article is about as likely to have worked as having a wing-walker rope the UAV from a nearby biplane.

#7 This is a wake up call about GPS and UAVs

It has been our advantage for a long time fighting terrorist but but conventional armies are preparing to counter them all.

I hope there are enough pilots who learn to fly and bomb the old fashion way still.

#8 CHINESE MILITARY FORUM > [WSJ.com] US SAYS DRONE CRASHED, REFUTING IRAN'S CLAIMS.

The US does NOT believe that Iran shot down or brought down the RQ-170 via EW cyber-hack [false GPS], but that US handlers lost effective control which caused the Drone to decline + crash into a number of broken pieces - US believes that Iran was able to physically recover, repair or reassemble, + repaint the broken Drone, etc. AMAP before putting same on public display.
