#3 Angor Wat was used as a "rest & recuperation" area by the Viet Cong and NVA during the Vietnam War. The US could NEVER get away with attacking it, so they were safe. There were two other areas, not as elaborate as Angor Wat, that were also used. The Vietnamest Air Force flew some RA-5 missions photographing the area, using color film. I've got a copy of the area somewhere. There's an NVA 37mm AAA site in the same photograph.
