[StudyFinds] Here’s something to consider the next time you’re thinking about ordering a spicy dish: a new long-term international study has found that a spicy diet could lead to dementia.
According to the study, older adults over the age of 55 who consumed more than 50 grams of chili per day displayed nearly double the risk of developing poor cognition and a decline in overall memory. Interestingly, slimmer adults indulging in a spicy diet exhibited even more significant memory loss.
"Chili consumption was found to be beneficial for body weight and blood pressure in our previous studies. However, in this study, we found adverse effects on cognition among older adults," lead researcher Dr. Zumin Shi explains in a statement.
Researchers analyzed the chili intake of 4,582 Chinese adults over the course of 15 years. Fresh and dried chili pepper consumption was tracked, but sweet capsicum and black pepper were not included in the study.
In general, study subjects who ate more spicy food had a lower income, less body mass, and exercised more frequently than those who preferred more mild flavors. This has led researchers to theorize that skinnier people are more susceptible to chili intake than overweight people, which would explain why skinnier adults displayed more prominent memory loss.
"Chili is one of the most commonly used spices in the world and particularly popular in Asia compared to European countries," co-researcher Dr. Ming Li says. "In certain regions of China, such as Sichuan and Hunan, almost one in three adults consume spicy food every day."
Capsaicin has already been shown to speed up the metabolism, promote fat loss, and hinder vascular disorders, but this is the first time its impact on cognitive functioning has been investigated.
The study’s authors say that more research is necessary on the connection between chili pepper and dementia, and admit that other variables, such as education levels, may also play a role in cognitive decline.

admit that other variables, such as education levels, may also play a role
So are they trying to say that eating spicy food means you're uneducated?

Incidentally, one of the same scientists proved once that capsaicin was linked to better lung health. Probably why those chinese opera singers are all meshugene.
This isn't science. It's just superimposing data from a nutritional anthropology statistic onto another statistic with one or two similar variables. eg: Chinese eat chillies, chinese go senile sooner. Hence chillies linked to senility.
... most commonly used spices in the world [5] with a substantial higher chili intake in Asian compared to European countries [6]. In certain regions of China such as Sichuan and Hunan, almost one in three adults consume spicy food.
They're doing pretty okay compared to Europeans, who have repeatedly proven suicidally dumb, and with successively shorter-term memories every decade.

More that 50 grams daily is almost 2 ounces. Go look at one of your spice jars. That's a *bleep*load of chili.
The study’s authors say that more research is necessary on the connection between chili pepper and dementia, and admit that other variables, such as education levels, may also play a role in cognitive decline.
tl;dr: single variable studies are generally bullsh!t.

I call bullshit. Known too many people into old age that loved spicy food. The ones that mentally deteriorated that I knew where plain jane folk and the most exotic spice they had was pepper.
That's what happens when you take out unused hardware and try to dust it off, I guess.
According to Scramble Facebook News Magazine, it is now (still unconfirmed) reported that the aircraft involved is F-14A 3-6003. According to the picture of the fatal Tomcat, the airframe is completely destroyed.
As we have reported yesterday, one of the few remaining IRIAF F-14A Tomcat fighter jets was involved in a crash at home base Esfahãn-Shahid Beheshti International Airport (Iran).
The IRIAF F-14A from the 8th Tactical Air Base crashed while it was landing. The aircraft reported an emergency to air traffic control during its training flight, subsequently the fighter was approved to make a quick landing at Esfahãn, but the aircraft was not able to hold position and skidded off the runway. Both pilot and Radar Intercept Officer (RIO) were forced to eject. They parachuted safely to mother earth. I guess they weren't aware that an F-35 can do that.
It is said that the IRIAF only have some twelve to fourteen operational F-14A and F-14AMs left. The IRIAF faces large problems to keep their Tomcats in the air (the AM version is locally modified and equipped with new avionics and multi-function displays in the cockpit, counter measure systems, radar warning receivers and an inertial navigation system).
The U.S. Navy retired the iconic Tomcat on Sep. 22, 2006 and today the F-14 remains in service with IRIAF.
In January 2007, U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) announced that sales of spare F-14 parts would be suspended over concerns of the parts ending up in Iran and in Jul. 2007 the remaining U.S. F-14s were shredded to ensure that any parts could not be acquired.
However in Oct. 2010 IRIAF commander stated that his country was overhauling its F-14s and mentioned that Iran-made radar system had been installed on the fighter.
Moreover in the summer of 2010, Iran requested that the U.S. deliver the 80th F-14 it had purchased in 1974, but delivery was denied after the Islamic Revolution.

Classy move, Russia. I don't know what effect you think it will have such as preventing war or the effective use of military force, but it shows your intentions.
The International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations and Israeli Airports Authority in late June 2019 announced that many flights lost the GPS satellite signal while flying into or out of Ben Gurion International in Israel, Breaking Defense reported. There has been no risk to passengers, according to the IAA. The affected aircraft simply switched to backup systems.
Russian forces have been jamming GPS systems in the Middle East. The electronic-warfare campaign could affect U.S. forces gathering in the region in advance of potential strikes on Iran.

According to Wikipedia Russia has 24 operational Glonass Satellites.
A single Starship mission (when operational sometime next year) should be able to open it's maw and capture all 24, bring them back to the Earth and turn them over to the NRO for modification and reorbit...
It would be turnabout fair play! List of functional Glonass Sats

The Russians are jamming from Latakia where they have Hmeimen air base. The jihadis have been sending suicide drones to Hmeimen. Nothing about supporting Iran or messing with US aircraft.

"ground-based GPS systems are unaffected"
The ground based receivers are below the radio horizon and aren't 'hearing' the jamming. The ones in the air are getting blotted out by the louder signal.

[Babylon Bee] KITCHEN SINK‐A dark horse presidential candidate has come out of nowhere: Larry the Cucumber. He shot to fame almost immediately after his promise of giving everyone a water buffalo.
"When I am president, everyone will have a water buffalo," he said at a campaign speech. "Yours may be fast, and mine may be slow, but the important thing is that we're achieving total equality when it comes to water buffalo possession in this nation." Cucumber admitted he doesn't have a plan, however, for where he will get them. "Where will we get them? Uh... I don't know. But everyone will have a water buffalo!"
Sadly, his campaign manager, Archibald Asparagus, quickly tried to walk back Cucumber's promise.
"He can't say everyone will get a water buffalo; everyone will not get a water buffalo," he said. "We're going to get nasty letters saying, 'Where's my water buffalo? The government promised me a water buffalo.' And we're just not prepared to deal with that. We don't have the infrastructure to send everyone a water buffalo. We don't have the funding in place."
Asparagus was exasperated as Larry then gave another speech promising everyone a baby kangaroo.

Water Buffalo are mean nasty smelly beasts. When you cook one up large pressure cookers that can run for a day or more are even required to make the meat minimal chew-able. We don't need to discuss taste but you dog would pass on most of the buffalo.

Candidate Donald Trump famously promised to get rid of two federal regulations for every new one. With 2 1/2 years in office under his belt, he has vastly exceeded that standard. Paul Bedard reports:
It was an odd, geeky campaign promise for a populist presidential candidate to make. But when Donald Trump in 2016 pledged to kill two Obama-era regulations for every new one, crowds went wild.
Those cheers stuck with him when he moved into the White House, and he put his promise into an executive order. And now as he opens his reelection campaign, Russ Vought, acting budget office director, has delivered the results sure to win even more rally cheers.
"We’ve hit 13 to 1," he told a Heritage Foundation conference on federalism. And cutting so many regulations, he added, has saved taxpayers $33 billion.

Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell’s long march towards remaking the federal judiciary is moving along.
Just this week, the Third Circuit "flipped" to majority Republican-appointees, the Second Circuit is on the brink of flipping, and several other evenly split Circuits are likely to go Republican. But will they stay bought?

[Washington Examiner] Criminal cartels are using groups of migrants as a distraction for their drug smuggling activities on the southern border, according to the commander of U.S. Northern Command.
The military has noticed a "relationship" exists between migrants and drug flows, Gen. Terrence O'Shaughnessy said during a talk the Center for Strategic and International Studies on Monday. His command is trying to help the Department of Homeland Security counter the problem.
"The same cartels that are working the drug smuggling are working the migrants and where the migrants are going," O'Shaughnessy said. "We also see them using the migrants as a distraction. And so as they push a group of migrants over here, the drug smuggling goes over there. And we see that coordinated behavior, which we are trying to help plug some of those gaps."
O'Shaughnessy said he was surprised to learn the severity of the narcotics problem when he took over as the head of NORTHCOM in May 2018. As the military command principally responsible for the defense of the U.S. homeland, NORTHCOM plays a supporting role in counternarcotics initiatives, specifically with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
"And why? It's because this is a national crisis. 70,000 Americans killed [by] overdose," O'Shaughnessy said. "How can the Department of Defense not be part of that solution set?"

[AJC] Plan includes moving office from Italy, creating "peace universities"
Four years after failing to bring the 2015 World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates to Atlanta, the city is primed to host the 2020 gathering as part of a grander plan that could rebrand "The City Too Busy to Hate" with the more global "City of Peace."
The blueprint, if all goes according to plan, also would move the organizing group’s offices here from Piacenza, Italy. In addition to hosting the summit every few years, organizers would collaborate with local colleges to create "peace universities."Boosters are trying to finance the initiative with private funds - and arguing Atlanta is the perfect fit.
The city already is home to the Jimmy Carter Center, dedicated to the 39th president and 2002 Nobel Peace Prize winner. Martin Luther King Jr., who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, lived here.Business and community leaders, including Koch Industries Executive Vice President Jim Hannan, Integral Group’s Egbert Perry and former mayor Andrew Young, laid out the framework at a breakfast meeting of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce on Monday. Unlike in 2015, boosters say they have a memorandum of understanding."It has a chance to be significant," said Hannan. "We have the broad support, but we are going to need people to support building the foundation."

I'd be circumspect. Atlanta is not too busy to hate white people, it's like a sport there. I don't know the first thing about Piacenza, but I'll bet you 2:1 it's a far more peaceful place.
SUR BAHER, West Bank (Reuters) - Israeli forces demolished a cluster of Palestinian homes near a military barrier on the outskirts of Jerusalem on Monday, in the face of protests and international criticism.
Israel said the 10 apartment buildings, most of them still under construction, had been built illegally and posed a security risk to Israeli armed forces operating along the barrier that runs through the occupied West Bank.
U.N. officials, who had called on Israel to halt the demolition plans, said 17 Palestinians faced displacement.
Bulldozers accompanied by hundreds of Israeli police and soldiers moved into Sur Baher, a Palestinian village on the edge of East Jerusalem in an area that Israel captured and occupied, along with the West Bank, in the 1967 Middle East War.
BEIJING (Reuters) - China accused U.S. officials on Tuesday of being behind violent protests in Hong Kong and advised them to remove their "black hands" from the territory.
Foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying made the comment at a news briefing in Beijing, when asked about the Hong Kong protests.
Escalating violence in the city over the weekend opened new fronts in its crisis over an extradition bill that could see people from the territory sent to China for trial in Communist Party-controlled courts.

Let's see.. The Triads predate the Chinese in US Chinatowns. The Triads likely predate the founding of the United States. So the Triads are not a US concoction.
Hong Kong was a UK Crown Colony granted to the UK, vaguely sometime in the Opium Wars timeframe.

[Washington Examiner] Former FBI Director James Comey had an inside man at the White House, feeding the bureau information about President Trump and his aides in 2017.
Now this individual, who after leaving the government was hired by BuzzFeed to verify parts of British ex-spy Christopher Steele's dossier, may be tied to an investigation into alleged surveillance abuses by the DOJ and the FBI being conducted by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
This previously unreported mole in the White House appears in a new report by RealClearInvestigations that explored possible misconduct by Comey for what two U.S. officials described as essentially "running a covert operation against" the president even as he was assuring Trump he was not the subject of any investigation.
Anthony Ferrante, a longtime FBI official, worked as a cybersecurity adviser on the National Security Council. Officials said Ferrante was working in the White House even while the FBI held him on reserve status. All the while, he was sharing information about Trump and his aides back to FBI headquarters.
One former National Security Council official said Ferrante's unique position was highly irregular.
"In an unprecedented action, Comey created a new FBI reserve position for Ferrante, enabling him to have an ongoing relationship with the agency, retaining his clearances and enabling him to come back in [to bureau headquarters]," the official said, adding that the NSC division supervisor was "not allowed to get rid of Ferrante" and that the arrangement appeared to be "in direct conflict with the no-contact policy between the White House and the Department of Justice."
Ferrante left the White House in April 2017, not long before Trump fired Comey as FBI director.

[Jpost] The Mexican Federal Police harassed migrants colonists and threatened to raid a migrant shelter in Coahuila over the weekend, according to the head of a state agency and the head of the shelter, the latest in a series of similar reported incidents.
Hugo Morales, president of the state agency, the Coahuila Commission of Human Rights, said he had confirmed multiple online and witness reports that law enforcement officers took action at the Casa Migrante Saltillo, in the northern Mexican city of Saltillo on Saturday, one day before U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo praised the country's efforts to quell U.S.-bound migration, under a June deal which averted threatened tariffs by President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... "Unfortunately, now that officials are harassing shelters across the country, migrants colonists no longer feel safe relying on them," Morales said.
The Federal Police did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The operation is one in a series of reported incidents in the past month in which federal officers, either members of the Federal Police or of the newly formed National Guard, have approached and threatened to raid similar shelters.
The National Guard also did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Other confirmed approaches by national officials to enter and search migrant shelters have occurred in Tenosique, Tijuana and Agua Prieta.
Jose Maria Garcia, director of a shelter in Tijuana, said migrants colonists transiting in Mexico are more vulnerable to authorities than they were in the past.
"It is strange, now authorities are even asking people for documents in bus stations when they are thought to look like migrants colonists," Garcia said. Oh NOES! Racial profiling?
The United Nations ...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense... , in response to news of the federal police presence at the Saltillo shelter, in a statement on social media on Saturday called for Mexico to "comply with its Migration law" in light of the "possible immigration verification operation" in the city.
Mexican immigration law prohibits migration verification visits in places where migrants colonists are "housed by civil society organizations, or people carrying out acts of humanitarian assistance or protection."
Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, when asked at a news conference on Monday about the entry of federal police in migrant shelters, said: "In principle I do not know of any indication that the Federal Police or other agencies enter civil society shelters under any circumstances, other than at the request of the shelter itself."
The director of Casa Migrante Saltillo, Alberto Xicotencatl, said federal authorities took action Saturday to monitor the blocks surrounding his shelter, detaining migrants colonists on their way to the safe house. Xicotencatl said four migrants colonists had already reached the building when police caught up and attempted to detain them.
"The police had them by the arms, had them up against the door", he said.
According to Xicotencatl and a statement posted online by the shelter, coordinator Jose Luis Manzo approached the officers, saying they did not have a legal right to detain migrants colonists on the organization's property. At that point, Xicotencatl said, officers threatened to enter the building in search of other migrants colonists without Mexican immigration documents before leaving empty-handed.
Morales said the Coahuila Commission of Human Rights had independently confirmed the police visit and has opened an investigation into the Federal Police actions.

One of the officers responded by shooting the suspect in the lower body. Police sappers then searched him for bombs before turning him over to medical personnel for treatment.
Police did not report any other injuries in the incident. Channel 13 news said the suspect was a resident of the West Bank town of Tulkarem and in Israel illegally. He was being treated for his injuries in Hadera’s Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and was in moderate condition.

[ToloNews] Local officials said telecom companies’ offices were closed for 24 hours for shutting down their services at nights.
Telecom services are shutting down their services in the last two nights in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif apparently due to "security threats", residents and local officials said.
The telecom companies have not commented on this decision but sources said that the telecom companies shut down their activities due to security threats.
Balkh Police Chief Gen. Munir Ahmad Fayiz said the offices of the four major telecom companies ‐ Afghan Wireless, Roshan, Etisalat, and MTN ‐ were closed for 24 hours for disconnecting their services in the last two nights.
He said telecom companies have not shared the problem with the police.
"There is no major security threat to them [telecom companies in Mazar]," the Police chief said. "We have not been informed about any threats to them. We sealed their offices according to the warning we had given to them."
The shutdown in services has increased the price of the SIM card of government-owned Salaam Company to Afs1,200, almost $15 ‐ in the black market.
"We will introduce them to judicial institutions if they sold the SIM cards more than its normal price," said Mohammad Taqi Poya, the head of Directorate of Telecommunication and Information Technology in Balkh.
Balkh residents said the issue is concerning and it must be solved.
"SIM cards are not available; they are found in the black market," said Khwaja Sharif, a Balkh resident.
"People are facing problems and all communications were disconnected," said Qadir, a Balkh resident.
Head of Balkh Provincial Council, Afzal Hadid, said efforts are underway to solve the problem.
"What is the solution? Those who want to create a problem for our people must be stopped. We are trying to find alternatives and I am sure that this problem will be solved in the near future," he said.

[Jpost] The South Korean military fired two warning shots at a Russian military aircraft that entered South Korean airspace on Tuesday, the Ministry of National Defense in Seoul said, and Chinese military aircraft had also entered South Korean airspace.
It was the first time a Russian military aircraft had violated South Korean airspace, a ministry official said.
The warplane was one of three Russian aircraft to enter the Korea Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) early on Tuesday. Two Chinese military aircraft also entered the KADIZ, the defence ministry said in a statement.
There was no immediate public comment from Russian or Chinese officials.
The South Korean government would lodge official complaints about the violations with China and Russia, the defence ministry in Seoul said.
According to the South Korean military, the Russian aircraft then violated South Korean airspace over Dokdo - an island that is occupied by South Korea and also claimed by Japan, which calls it Takeshima - just after 9 a.m. (midnight GMT Monday).
"The South Korean military took tactical action including dropping flares and firing a warning shot," the defence ministry statement said.
The Russian aircraft left South Korean airspace but then entered it again about 20 minutes later, prompting the South Koreans to fire another warning shot.
The ministry said South Korean warplanes "conducted a normal response" to the incursion, without giving further details.

Hey Herb read history? Anyone f*** with the Mongols? Sherman said it correctly - war is hell. We just don't practice war anymore. Probably why we don't see any 'win' anymore just endless police actions around the world.
Don't do war. It's nasty, destructive, and exhausting. However, as Trotsky said - you may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you. If you are going to do it, don't hold back. Don't let anyone tell you how to fight a war without explaining what 'winning' means. Winning isn't about making friends or making people feel virtuous about themselves. Winning means they leave you alone and don't disturb you.

Putting on my contrarian hat let me (partially) agree with HMcC. It is crappy that I have reached the point that genocide is not a horrific idea. On the other hand, I put the blame where it belongs - on a 8th century mindset that not just accepts genocide but makes a religious duty, along with slavery and subjugation of everyone other than their own particular cult/sect.

Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. [POLITICO] Paul Krassner, the publisher, author and radical political activist on the front lines of 1960s counterculture who helped tie together his loose-knit prankster group by naming them the Yippies, died Sunday in Southern Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, his daughter said.
Krassner died at his home in Desert Hot Springs, Holly Krassner Dawson told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named. He was 87 and had recently transitioned to hospice care after an illness, Dawson said. She didn’t say what the illness was.
The Yippies, who included Jerry Rubin and Abbie Hoffman and were otherwise known as the Youth International Party, briefly became notorious for such stunts as running a pig for president and throwing dollar bills onto the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Hoffman and Rubin, but not Krassner, were among the so-called "reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ... home of Al Capone, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel,... 7" charged with inciting riots at 1968′s chaotic Democratic National Convention.

[Iraq News] A group of Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... fighters, including an aide to IS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, were arrested Monday in the northern Iraqi province of Nineveh.
Code-named as "Baghdadi’s Men," the IS sleeper cell confessed to carrying out several terrorist attacks against foreign embassies and churches in Egypt and Syria, Alghad Press quoted the Iraqi Military Intelligence Directorate as saying in a press statement.
The cell members also admitted that they plotted to carry out similar terrorist attacks against Iraqi civilians and institutions in Nineveh province.
Among those arrested is a senior aide to IS runaway leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the statement read.
Iraq declared victory over Islamic State in December with the help of a US-led alliance, having retaken all the territory captured by the snuffies in 2014 and 2015.
Isolated cells believed to be linked to the Islamic State group remain active in some parts of the country. In recent weeks, suspected Islamic State turbans have carried out several attacks targeting security forces in Iraq.

[IsraelTimes] Mohammed Saud, a Netanyahu fan touring the country at the Foreign Ministry’s invitation, is heckled, spat on and has chairs hurled at him.
A Saudi blogger who is in Israel at the invitation of the Foreign Ministry was attacked and cursed at Monday, during a visit to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City.
Video of the incident shows a child spitting on Mohammed Saud as he visited the holy site, while others yell at him to leave.
In another clip, chairs and other objects are thrown at Saud as he walks through one of the Old City’s alleys.
One man is heard shouting at Saud, "Go to a synagogue." Others are heard calling him an "animal" and "Zionist trash."
A Foreign Ministry front man condemned Saud’s harassment.
"We strongly condemn the cruel and immoral behavior of some Paleostinians near the al-Aqsa Mosque toward a Saudi media personality who came to Jerusalem to be a bridge to peace and understanding between peoples," Nizar Amer wrote on Twitter.
Saud is one of six Arab journalists and bloggers, including representatives from Jordan and Iraq, brought to Israel by Israel’s Foreign Ministry, which has sought to highlight growing ties between Israel and the Arab world.
The blogger, who speaks Hebrew, is an unabashed partisan of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu; his Twitter feed is loaded with messages of support for Israel, Netanyahu and the Likud party. His username on the micro-blogging platform is written in Hebrew as well as in Arabic, and his description includes an Israeli flag emoji and the words "Only Bibi!" using Netanyahu’s nickname.
The group of journalists and bloggers were slated to visit Jerusalem’s Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, the Knesset, holy sites, and to meet with members of Israeli academia during the trip.
Saud is also reportedly expected to meet Netanyahu on Tuesday.
The ministry has said the visit has "the aim of exposing the journalists ‐- some of whom come from countries that do not have diplomatic relations with Israel -‐ to Israeli positions on diplomatic and geopolitical issues."
Both the Foreign Ministry of Iraq and members of parliament’s foreign affairs committee were not able to comment on the issue to Rudaw English on Monday.
Earlier this month, Iraq’s Ambassador to United States Fareed Yasseen seemed to argue that Baghdad should have some kind of relations with Israel, noting the Iraqi diaspora there.
Some in the Iraqi government attacked the diplomat and called for his resignation. However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... the Iraqi foreign ministry defended their diplomat and accused some media of twisting his message.
Upon receiving news of the Iraqi journalist's visit to Israel from some local media agencies, the Iraqi Syndicate of Journalists strongly condemned the visit.
"We strongly condemn any Iraqi journalist who visits Israel, due to political reasons, the hatred Israel has toward Arab states in the Middle East, and all the killings and massacres Israel is committing against the people of Paleostine," it responded.
"The syndicate will take legal action against any Iraqi journalist who would visit Israel now or in the future."
[DW] The Marella Discovery picked up 111 migrants colonists, including 33 children, near Greece's Peloponnese peninsula. Despite a large fall in migrants colonists crossing the Mediterranean, six people die each day making the journey.
A Maltese-registered cruise ship sailing close to the Greek mainland has rescued more than a hundred migrants colonists, the country's coasties said on Sunday.
The migrants colonists were picked up by the Marella Discovery, an 11-deck luxury liner equipped with swimming pools, a casino and a theater.
The migrants colonists' boat was found in distress on Saturday evening, some 74 kilometers (40 nautical miles) off Greece's Peloponnese peninsula.
Of the 111 people on board, 33 were children.
The coasties did not say which countries the migrants colonists were from or where their boat departed.

The passengers were taken to the Greek port of Kalamata.
Two of the migrant boat's operators were arrested.
MIGRANT CROSSINGS FALLING
Although the number of migrants colonists attempting the perilous journey has fallen from 362,000 in 2016 to 116,000 in 2018, an average of six migrants colonists die every day in the Mediterranean, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees reports.
Already this year, at least 426 men, women and kiddies have died during the crossing, according to the French medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
MSF and the NGO SOS Mediterranee on Sunday announced they would resume migrant rescues with the 69-meter Ocean Viking ship.

[Libya Observer] Targets and positions for Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all... 's forces on different fighting frontlines have been targeted with heavy bombardment by the Libyan Air Force of the Presidential Council's government over the last few days, according to a source at the Burkan al-Ghadab (Volcano of Rage) Operation.
Airstrikes' aims included Haftar's forces positions in al-Asaba, al-Shweirif, al-Jufra and southern Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... frontlines, the source explained.
"In total, the air force carried out 20 strikes targeting convoys, supplies, vehicles, fighters, and ammo depots with minute precision." The source indicated.
Saturday and Sunday saw the Libyan Air Force carrying out air raids on Wadi Rabea and Tripoli International Airport, destroying military vehicles and killing at least 13 fighters from Haftar's forces.
Intense airpower was put to the fight over the last few days by the Libyan Army under the command of Presidential Council's government to pave the way for an all-out offensive, according to military experts, that is going to be very soon.
Meanwhile, ...back at the Alamo, Davy was counting their remaining cannon balls and not liking the results... an uneasy calm has descended on fighting frontlines with some skirmishes with the Libyan Army remaining in positions gained in vast areas across southern Tripoli.

Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... and try once again to enter the capital, but the forces have been met with fierce defense by the Libyan Army forces under the command of Presidential Council's government.
Frontlines saw the "Zero Hour" festivities start at 9.00am in the morning on Monday with Haftar's forces attacking - with air cover - Libyan Army positions on four frontlines, concentrating on Khallit al-Furjan since it's the closest to Tripoli's city center.
"We have foiled the attack of Haftar's forces and gained advanced positions in certain frontlines as our Air Force had carried out Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s on the attacking forces, causing them heavy losses." Libyan Army and Burkan al-Ghadab (Volcano of Rage) operation said.
They said three military vehicles were destroyed as Libyan Air Force targeted two tanks on al-Naher frontline, let alone seizing two military vehicles and capturing 11 mercenaries fighting for Haftar's forces.
Uneasy calm has descended on fighting frontlines after the Zero Hour offensive was repelled, while Haftar's media outlets said the general command put off the Zero Hour offensive due to a malfunction in the communications system.
For over a week, the Zero Hour has been the talk of all Haftar's forces, including his front man Ahmed al-Mismari, who said in a presser that their plan included protecting state institutions and diplomatic missions in Tripoli.
The front man for the Libyan Army Mohammed Gununu commented on al-Mismari's statement saying; "it is just a media propaganda that aims at putting down Libyan Army forces' morale."
Before the Zero Hour, Haftar appointed on Sunday Mabrouk al-Ghazwi as the commander of Tripoli offensive in place of Abdelsalam al-Hassi, who is said to be detained in Rajma.

It is NOT an act of piracy. It was an act of war. There are differences. The people doing it should be treated like POWs if captured, for instance (they are actually wearing a uniform and making no bones about what they are up to). Pirates you can just shoot and dump overboard, should you feel like it. Also, it means that you should use your military to attack their nation and do things like seize their interests in your home territories rather just step up patrols of waters where pirates (non-state actors) are operating.
[AlAhram] Syrians living illegally in Istanbul have until August 20 to leave the city or face expulsion, authorities warned Monday, as hostility mounts towards the millions of refugees in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... Turkey has 3.5 million Syrian refugees -- more than any other country -- but they are only under "temporary protection" because the government does not offer them formal refugee status.
Under the system, they must stay in the province to which they are assigned, and can only visit other cities with short-term passes.
In a statement published in Ottoman Turkish and Arabic, the Istanbul governor's office said it would no longer tolerate Syrians who are assigned to other provinces.
"Foreigners of Syrian nationality who are not registered under the system of temporary protection or who do not have a residency permit will be expelled to their designated provinces by the Ministry of the Interior," it said.
Those without any registration papers at all would be sent back to Syria, it added.
But Mahdi Daoud, who heads a coalition of Syrian NGOs in Istanbul, said more than 600 people were already sent back to Syria last week -- even though most had protection cards issued for other Ottoman Turkish provinces.
"They were forced to sign documents saying they returned voluntarily to Syria," he told AFP.
He said his coalition, the Forum for Syrian Associations, had complained to the Ottoman Turkish authorities and there had not been any new cases since Saturday.
Security forces have stepped up identity checks in recent days in Istanbul -- at metro and railway stations and in areas with large numbers of Syrians.
There are currently 547,000 Syrians living in the city, according to the governor's office, which said no new registrations were being accepted for refugees.
Daoud said nearly 26,000 Syrians live in Istanbul without a protection card. He was not sure how many had cards from other provinces.
A survey published this month by Kadir Has University in Istanbul showed growing hostility towards Syrian refugees in the city, rising from 54.5 percent of respondents in 2017 to 67.7 percent in 2019.
#SyriansOut became part of the discourse during municipal elections this year -- with many complaining about the number of Arabic signs appearing on shops in Istanbul and elsewhere.

[AnNahar] Cameroon ...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there... ian security forces are committing "brazen crimes" against civilians, Human Rights Watch said on Monday, accusing the military of killing four people and raping a woman in the English-speaking northwest region.
For three years government troops have been fighting English-speaking separatists demanding independence in the northwest and southwest regions, leaving hundreds dead and forcing nearly 500,000 people from their homes.
An 80-year-old man and a young man with a mental disability were among those killed in security operations since mid-June, HRW said in a statement on its website.
"These latest crimes add to a long string of abuses by Cameroonian security forces," said Central Africa director at HRW Lewis Mudge.
"Instead of seeing that justice is done, Cameroon's authorities deny that their forces are killing and raping people, so it is essential to remind them that the world is watching."
A 40-year-old woman was beaten and raped in a toilet in Kumbo on June 21 after a group of soldiers demanded to know where separatists were hiding, HRW said.
HRW says unlawful killings and the use of excessive force by government forces have been rife since the crisis started.
"Security forces seem to have little fear of what will happen as they commit brazen crimes against civilians," Mudge said.
Last year, the rights group said separatists had carried out kidnappings, killed civilians and prevented children from going to school in Cameroon's two English-speaking regions.
Government forces were blamed for killing civilians, using excessive force against demonstrators, torture and the burning of homes in several villages, according to a report based on interviews and documents.
English speakers, who account for about a fifth of Cameroon's population of 24 million, have chafed for years at perceived discrimination in education, law and economic opportunities at the hands of the francophone majority.
But the government has rejected demands for autonomy and has dispatched thousands of troops in a crackdown.
The anglophone movement radicalized in 2017, with separatists declaring the creation of the "Republic of Ambazonia" -- a move which was not recognized internationally.

Not saying it is unpossible, but it comes down to capability + will. You could do this with a little frigate navy, but are the Euros willing to but heads with Iran? Doubtful. First casualty would be that lame-ass nuke treaty the Persians are already cheating on.

The only valid argument I ever heard in defense of Microsoft Windows is that it's "good enough". So now that I hear that the inventor of "good enough" is going to make AI smarter than humans, it kinda makes me chuckle.

Well, it was HAL, and Arthur C. Clarke swore up and down and left and right it was a complete coincidence that HAL was IBM offset by one letter. HAL was a lesson in the nature of GIGO. All the social justice crap that will be coded into any AI project funded by the leftist blob will be, to paraphrase Heinlein, "indistinguishable from a psychotic newt on crack..."

The creepiest part of the HAL character was reactivation in 2010. HAL was completely ignorant of the crimes he committed and was again so flawlessly logical that "he" agreed to facilitate his own destruction. Clarke was way ahead of everyone in understanding the flawed coin AI would have to be.

[CNC] A New People’s Army leader wanted for murder was nabbed in Tagum City on Friday. Police spokesman Jason Baria identified the arrested militant as Ronnie Dumasig Campaner, a commanding officer of the NPA’s Guerilla Front 2, Southern Mindanao Regional Command, and listed as a “most wanted person” by the Philippine military.
Baria said Campane, a resident of Pantukan town, Compostela Valley province, was arrested for murder, in a residence in Barangay East, Tagum City.
[Bangkok Post] A Thai army officer and his three subordinates were slightly hurt on Monday in Yala province when a bomb hidden beneath the surface of a road went off, toppling their pickup truck.
Bannang Satar police said the 20-kilogram bomb in a gas cylinder was detonated when the vehicle of the rangers reached the spot where the explosion was buried. Its impact caused a big hole of two meters wide and one meter deep and sent the vehicle to land on its side.
Military spokesman Pramoto Prom-in said police and soldiers were collecting evidence to try to find the bombers.
[Red State] There must be something in the water in Georgia these days.
There’s been the escalating she said-he said war between a Democratic stage legislator and a Cuban-American Democrat over heated words that were exchanged at a Publix grocery store express lane last Friday.
But there’s also another crazy story coming from Georgia involving a woman who hated a Cobb County man’s Trump 2020 display so much that she drove her SUV through a barbed wire fence to vandalize it at 1 in the morning last Monday.
WSB-TV reports:
[Property owner George] Bentley’s security cameras captured a car driving through the barbed wire fence and then knocking over a bright-colored cube around 1 a.m. Monday.
The video then shows a woman standing in front of the camera to spray-paint the Trump sign.
Bentley and his girlfriend, Dee Corson, discovered what happened when they woke up later in the day.
"That’s pretty strong for it to bother you something like this," Corson said.
Unfortunately for the vandal, she couldn’t get her car back through the barbed wire fence:

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] An Israeli minister boasted Sunday that his country was the only one that 'has been killing Iranians', after tensions between Britain and Iran rose in the Gulf.
Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi's comments to public radio were a reference to Israeli strikes in neighbouring Syria against Iranian and Hezbollah military targets.
But they came after Iran seized a British-flagged tanker on Friday, adding to tensions between Washington and Tehran linked to a 2015 nuclear deal.
[TimesOfSanDiego] Four of San Diego’s five members of Congress introduced a package of legislation Monday designed to stop pollution from the Tijuana River from reaching San Diego.
Reps. Juan Vargas, Susan Davis, Scott Peters and Mike Levin announced their Tijuana River Valley Pollution Solution package at a press conference in Chula Vista.
"We have an environmental crisis in San Diego. For years, the cross-border flows of wastewater, trash, and sediment coming from the Tijuana River have plagued our region, disrupting the lives of residents, service members, and visitors," said Vargas, who represents the border area in Congress."
The package of three bills, each introduced by different members, would increase the capital of the North American Development Bank by $1.5 billion to fund treatment projects, enlist the help of the Navy and improve coordination with the Environmental Protection Agency.
Davis noted that the the Navy is building a multi-billion dollar SEAL training facility just miles from the mouth of the Tijuana River and must take steps to make sure future spills don’t impact operations.
"Today, we are taking a comprehensive approach to address the crisis," said Peters. "We must prioritize funding for projects that specifically address water pollution, wastewater treatment, and water conservation to reduce the risk of sewage flows."
Pollution from Mexico via the Tijuana River has caused numerous beach closures from Imperial Beach to Coronado and disrupted Navy exercises.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, who represents rural East County, was not involved in drafting the legislation introduced Monday. A bunch of donk congress critters want to spend $1.5 billion to fix a problem that Mexico should have fixed decades ago. It should be easy. Tell the Mexican president there will be no more foreign aid from the United States until this problem is fixed, and if that doesn't work then threaten more tariffs. But I guess with donks, nothing is ever easy.

[MAIL] Jeffrey Epstein was not just providing underage girls to his friends according to a new report.
New York magazine examined the convicted pedophile's black book, and learned that Epstein maintained a list of female assistants he recommended to pals including Charlie Rose and Bill Clinton.
Written call logs reveal that Epstein recommended five women that Rose should hire in a two-year span, and that three of those women then went to work for the disgraced newsman, who at the time was the host and executive producer of his eponymous talk show on PBS.
Of those three, at least one would later accuse Rose of sexual harassment.
'I was being offered up for abuse,' said that woman, who was just 22 when she was hired by Rose on Epstein's recommendation.
Epstein and his assistant Sarah Kellen called Rose dozens of times in that two-year period.
At the same time, Epstein was being probed by officials in Palm Beach and the FBI following allegations of sexual battery involving minor females.
One of the candidates Epstein named was said to be the 'world’s most perfect assistant she used to work for Harvey Weinstein he’s lucky if he can get her.'
[Free Beacon] With some even saying to "forget" about the Robert Mueller Russia investigation, press members said the Southern District of New York's investigation of the Trump organization was where the real threat to President Donald Trump was.
Last week, SDNY prosecutors revealed their investigation into hush money payments to women Michael Cohen claims to have made at Trump's direction had ended. Fox News reported this meant there are likely no charges to be filed against Trump or other members of the Trump Organization.
CNN reported it was a "significant victory" for Trump's family business:
The conclusion of federal prosecutors' investigation of the Trump company's role in the Cohen matter marks a significant victory for the President's family business, although it likely doesn't come as a complete surprise. There had been no contact between the Manhattan US Attorney's office and officials at the Trump Organization in more than five months, CNN reported Friday.
Yet this development could come as a surprise to pundits and reporters who believed, for instance, that "this is where it ends for this president."
So said MSNBC host Donny Deutsch in February about the SDNY's investigation. Deutsch also remarked that "what is going to destroy everything he ever built and his children is a 30-year dishonest criminal enterprise."
"Many analysts have said that the Manhattan office of the Justice Department, the Southern District of New York, poses the real threat to the president," MSNBC's Brian Williams said on March

In his book 'The Case for Trump', Victor Davis Hanson foresaw an ignominious conclusion. While never having met the man, VDH was entirely supportive of Donald Trump's leadership and direction. VDH was satisfied the Deep State would eventually make an example of Trump, either while in office or after his departure.
Hanson's thinking was centered around the need for the Deep State to deter future Orange Men from stepping forth.

[Libya Observer] The Libyan Foreign Ministry has asked the Tunisian authorities for coordination before taking any action regarding the Libyan warplane that landed on Monday morning in Mednine.
According to a source from the ministry, meetings for the Libyan Chargé d'affaires in Tunis with Tunisian Foreign and Defense Ministries about the issue are about to take place.
A source from the Libyan embassy in Tunis said they had formed a commission in Sfax to stay in contact with Tunisian authorities about the warplane.
A Libyan L39 warplane landed in Bani Ghazal in southern Mednine in Tunisia and according to the Tunisian Defense Ministry, the pilot said he had a technical malfunction that led him to make an emergency landing.
Meanwhile, ...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Big Shirley was still trying to snatch Nunzio bald-headed. She was already halfway there... a Libyan military source has confirmed that the L39 was for Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. 's Air Force and it had taken off from Brak al-Shatti airbase, adding that the GPS device was damaged and the pilot lost destination so he had to land in Tunisia after the aircraft's fuel ran out.

[YAHOO] Al Franken said he "absolutely" regrets resigning from the U.S. Senate in 2017 amid the firestorm over accusations of inappropriate behavior by the comedian turned politician. "I was requested to request a transfer."
~ CPT Fisby - 1956, Tea House of the August Moon
In a new profile by Jane Mayer published Monday in The New Yorker, seven current and former senators said they also regret calling for his resignation in December 2017: Vermont’s Patrick Leahy ...Democrat Senator-for-Life from Vermont, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, source of more leaks than a plumber could keep up with... , North Dakota’s Heidi Heitkamp, Illinois’ Tammy Duckworth, Maine’s Angus King, Oregon’s Jeff Merkley, Florida’s Bill Nelson, and New Mexico’s Tom Udall.
Franken told Mayer that he now wishes that he had followed through on his request to appear before a Senate Ethics Committee hearing so that he would have had time to gather evidence to counter what he felt was a false narrative in the media based in part on anonymous accusers.
The New Yorker piece also sheds new light on the accusations by conservative talk radio host Leeann Tweeden that Franken forced an unwanted kiss on her during a 2006 U.S.O. tour that was the center of her accusations. Franken was pressured to resign in December 2017 after seven more women accused him of inappropriate touches or kisses.
Two actresses told the New Yorker they had performed the USO skit featuring a handsy doctor played by Franken in 2003 ‐ well before Tweeden joined the USO tour ‐ and therefore it was not written for her, as Tweeden had said in her statement. Others who were on the 2006 tour questioned her account as well.
Franken also told the New Yorker that New York’s Chuck Schumer Senator-for-life from New York, renowned for his love of standing in front of cameras. Schumer has been a professional politician since 1975, when disco was in flower. Senate minority leader as of 2017. , the top Democrat in the Senate, threatened to have the entire Democratic caucus demand his resignation and said Franken could be censured and stripped of his committee assignments if he decided to stay on.
"I couldn’t believe it," Franken told the magazine. "I asked him for due process and he said no."
A Schumer spokesperson had no comment. Reps for Franken and Tweeden did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

[SPECTATOR.ORG] "Mayor Pete" is like an applicant for an important position at a large employer who tells the interviewers that he isn’t all that impressed by the past performance of their organization. This observation would be considered presumptuous coming from any candidate, particularly one with Pete Buttigieg ...the testicleless mayor of South Bend, Indiana, since 2012. Buttigieg graduated from Harvard College and, on a Rhodes Scholarship, from Pembroke College, Oxford. From 2007 to 2010, he worked at McKinsey and Company, a consulting firm. From 2009 to 2017 Buttigieg served as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve, attaining the rank of lieutenant and deploying to Afghanistan in 2014. Buttigieg was first elected mayor of South Bend in 2011 and was reelected in 2015. During his second term, he announced he was gay. Buttigieg also campaigned for Indiana state treasurer in 2010 and for chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2017, losing both elections. He is running for the Dem nomination in 2020 on the theory that being mayor of a nondescript medium sized city is qualification to run the country... ’s résumé. He’s asking for a hell of a promotion, after all. He’s currently employed as the mayor of an Indiana town boasting a population of 102,000 people. And his record there is not all it could be. He wants to be the chief executive of a nation of 340 million. A little humility might be in order.
Among the Democrats running for president, however, humility seems to be in rather short supply. They, like all members of their party, routinely insult the people who will decide whether they get the job or not. Nor are they reticent about criticizing the nation they want to run. Moreover, many are making wild promises about the things they will accomplish if given the job, yet they remain oddly unable to answer detailed questions regarding the implementation of these plans. Even worse, they seem utterly incapable of providing any serious cost estimates for their grandiose designs.
In addition to of all these issues, the Democrats seem to be under the impression that it is the responsibility of the electorate to live up to their expectations rather than the reverse. Like Crooked Hillary Clinton ...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away... , they seem to believe they would be doing the country a favor by taking over. Finally, they are all making the worst mistake any job applicant can make: trashing the guy who currently holds the job, a guy with a lot of solid accomplishments and loyal supporters. All of this means that the Democrats have not yet absorbed the lessons of 2016, and this disqualifies them as a governing party.

[ToloNews] Local officials said that the Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... was carried out in the district of Baraki Barak in Pashtun-infested Logar Province.
At least eight non-combatants were killed in an airstrike in the eastern province of Pashtun-infested Logar which was carried out by Afghan forces to target krazed killers, a bigwig from the province said.
The airstrike was carried out in Baraki Barak district on Sunday night, the district governor of Baraki Barak said on Monday.
He said that six other civilians were maimed in the airstrike which reportedly targeted two houses in Kochian village in Baraki Barak district.
He said that three women are among those maimed in the airstrike.
The district governor said that the maimed taken to a provincial hospital for treatment.
An MP from Pashtun-infested Logar, Salim Naeemi, said that nine civilians, including six children, were killed in the airstrike.
The ministries of Defense and Interior have not commented on the report so far.
CIVILIAN CASUALTIES IN AFGHANISTAN
On July 15, a bigwig of Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) said that 596 non-combatants were killed and 1,892 others maimed in festivities between government forces and the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... and other attacks by bandidosDeath Eaters in Afghanistan since the beginning of the current solar year which coincides with March 21, 2019.
The CEO of the AIHRC, Musa Mahmoodi, told TOLOnews that 733 of the victims are children who have either been killed or maimed in the conflicts during the period.
The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan said in a quarterly report on April 24 that it has documented high levels of harm to civilians but adds that there has been a 23 percent decrease in overall civilian casualties as compared to the same period last year and is the lowest for a first-quarter since 2013.
The report says the UN documented 1,773 civilian casualties (581 deaths and 1,192 injured), including 582 child casualties (150 deaths and 432 injured) between January 1 and March 31.
In the first quarter of 2018, UNAMA documented 2,305 civilian casualties (799 deaths and 1,506 injured), including 609 child casualties (176 deaths and 433 injured), the report says.
The overall reduction of civilian casualties was driven by a decrease in civilian casualties by suicide improvised bomb (IED) attacks, the report says.
UNAMA notes the particularly harsh winter conditions during the first three months of the year, which may have contributed to this trend, the report says.
It is unclear whether the decrease in civilian casualties was influenced by any measures taken by parties to the conflict to better protect civilians, or by the ongoing talks between parties to the conflict, the report mentions.

The activist has filed complaints against 15 other estheticians with the tribunal, claiming "gender identity" discrimination, as well
Citing discrimination based on gender identity, Yaniv filed a complaint with the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal seeking financial restitution. The activist has filed complaints against 15 other estheticians with the tribunal, claiming "gender identity" discrimination, as well, The Daily Wire reported last year. It was not until Wednesday, however, that Yaniv’s identity was allowed to be disclosed.
According to The Post Millennial, Marcia Da Silva claims that she refused to service the complainant "due to safety concerns raised by her husband and alleged harassment on Yaniv’s part and not because of the claimant’s identity."
During tribunal proceedings on Wednesday, Da Silva said the complaint from Yaniv forced her to close shop, the outlet noted.

Time to dust off the old adage "Tolerance is a two way street"?

Thing is, there are plenty of non-Americans, dead Americans and TWANLOC on the voter rolls.
They're all fine with this stuff, and the Dems have calculated that there are enough of them to ride to power.
And they may be right.
This is why I roll my eyes at the conservative commentators when they do their "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" routine.
The left has already taken their measure and found them to be weaklings who can ignored and rolled.
