Carter Page Reveals John Durham Has NOT Interviewed Him About FISA Abuses
[GatewayPundit] Former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page revealed in a podcast interview with John Solomon that John Durham, the US Attorney from Connecticut tapped by AG Barr to investigate the origins of Spygate, has not contacted him for an interview.

Carter Page slammed the FBI in his interview with Mr. Solomon, "It's just a matter of people covering up for their fellow comrades."

Rosenstein signed the June 2017 FISA warrant a month after he wrote the memo authorizing the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller ‐ and 20 pages of this FISA application are STILL REDACTED.

AG Barr tapped Durham to investigate the origins of Spygate last May so why hasn't his team contacted Carter Page for an interview?

Carter Page may not be needed for the investigation at this point (or any point in the future).

Now that the sham impeachment is over, lets see just how swiftly Barr and Durham up their game in order to hold criminals accountable.

This is the key point. Just yesterday several people found themselves suddenly dismissed from the positions from which they’d been making trouble. (See here.) President Trump and the attorney general have their priorities, and just because we are not seeing progress does not mean things are not being cued up behind the scenes. But as I recall, Mr. Page never looked at the big picture, being a specialty policy wonk, so it would’t be fair to expect it of him now.

#2  Rosenstein signed the June 2017 FISA warrant a month after he wrote the memo authorizing the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller ‐ and 20 pages of this FISA application are STILL REDACTED.

It would seem that at some point this document would need to be declassified and unredacted.

#3  'Covering up for their comrades'? when exactly did the FBI morph into a competent agency much less this nonsense about the most respected law enforcement on earth? Which part? The deeply compromised lab? The running sore that 'was' Boston? The non-existent Mafia? All the way back to the terrific job they did helping the Osage.

#4  Perhaps Dunham’s investigation has determined as we here have suspected that Page was a Trojan Horse planted by the FBI as a convenient excuse to go to FISA

Ro Khanna Backs Nabliah Islam, Dubbed AOC of Atlanta, In Contested GA Primary
[The Intercept] NABILAH ISLAM, the 30-year-old daughter of Bangladeshi immigrants, is one of six Democratic candidates vying for the seat being vacated by Republican Rep. Rob Woodall, a five-term GOP incumbent who entered office as part of the 2010 tea party wave. Islam is regularly touted in the press as "Atlanta’s AOC," and is trying to demonstrate that a populist message can work in this working class district.

California Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., is breaking with the party establishment and endorsing Islam, becoming the first sitting member of Congress to rally behind the young contender. And, despite previously working for establishment players like Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and the Democratic National Committee, Islam has secured an endorsement from the Metro Atlanta chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. Occupy Democrats and Matriarch, a political action committee dedicated to electing women from working-class and low-income backgrounds to Congress, have endorsed her as well.

"I was inspired by her candidacy," Khanna told The Intercept. "She is someone who personally understands the need for Medicare for All. She can help bridge Clinton and Sanders supporters to expand and build our progressive coalition. As a woman of color of Muslim faith, she reflects the vibrancy and diversity of her district and symbolizes the New South."

Islam’s platform includes policies with growing popular support, such as Medicare for All and the Green New Deal. This week, about 6 in 10 Democrats at the Iowa caucuses reported supporting the elimination of private health insurance to establish a single-payer health care system, the Washington Post reported.

Her biggest opponent in the primary is Carolyn Bourdeaux, a college professor who narrowly lost to Woodall in 2018, and has previously expressed opposition to Medicare for All. During her 2018 campaign, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, she said she believes in "fixing" the Affordable Care Act and "providing a public health insurance option." Bourdeaux doesn’t currently list any policy positions on her campaign website.

The state’s 7th Congressional District, which includes Atlanta’s northern suburbs, has become increasingly diverse over the past few years and now has a population that is predominantly people of color. Demographic changes, in addition to Bourdeaux coming within roughly 400 votes of winning in the midterms, prompted the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee to make the district a top target for the 2020 cycle. In 2018, it added Bourdeaux to their "red-to-blue" program.

So far, Islam’s campaign has out-raised many of her six Democratic opponents, including two state legislators who are running, taking in about $400,000. According to OpenSecrets, Bourdeaux’s campaign has raised about $1,154,686 and has $863,041 cash on hand. Bourdeaux has also won endorsements from Democratic Georgia Reps. John Lewis and Hank Johnson, and former U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young, all of whom supported her 2018 campaign.

Islam, who quit her job to campaign full-time and is living on her savings, recently made headlines for petitioning the Federal Election Commission to let her use campaign funds to pay for health care, arguing that it would make running for office more accessible to working-class people.

NSC housecleaning, with special attention to Colonel Vindman
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Vindman fired, escorted out of White House after Trump acquittal

[FOXNEWS] Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who made waves as a witness during the Trump impeachment proceedings, was fired Friday by the National Security Council and escorted off of the White House grounds, Fox News has confirmed.

Vindman was on detail to the National Security Council from the Department of Defense, and it is expected he will return there. It comes just two days after President Trump was acquitted in the Senate on the impeachment charges brought by the House last year over his dealings with Ukraine.

In a lengthy statement, Vindman’s attorney, David Pressman, confirmed that Vindman had been escorted out of the White House on Friday.

"There is no question in the mind of any American why this man’s job is over, why this country now has one less soldier serving it at the White House," Pressman said. "LTC Vindman was asked to leave for telling the truth. His honor, his commitment to right, frightened the powerful."

A senior administration official also told Fox News that Vindman’s twin brother Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman has also left the National Security Council. Yevgeny Vindman was assigned to the office that vetted publications like former national security adviser John Bolton’s book ‐ though he has said he was not involved in the vetting of the Bolton manuscript.

The news comes after reports that the White House was weighing options to dismiss Vindman from the NSC in an effort to shrink its foreign policy bureaucracy. Bloomberg reported Thursday that the White House planned to frame Vindman’s exit as part of an NSC staff downsizing, not retaliation.

#21  *off topic

Had a chili cook-off some years back. As with all chili cook-offs, there is always that one who make it hotter than hell, and there is always a line of bucks willing to show they can eat it.

Only myself and one other were able to eat a bowl of this.

That being said, there is a restaurant we like which serves vindaloo. We were in this town and I tell the Mrs, "Put the order in, I'll start heading that way, and it will be done shortly after I arrive. If they ask How Spicey? tell them to make it like they like it."

So I get there and am greeted at the door, "Hello, you must be Mr. Kansas. Please sit down, have a beer, your food is almost ready."

These people don't know me from boo, so my spider sense is pinging. Food is done, get home, arrange feast.

I'm quite hungry at this point, and after everyone else gets set, I grab my spoon and scoop a big ol bite.

It is important to note here, I am not 24 hours into a significant altitude change higher.

So I take this bite, and immediately spider sense calls me a dumbass for not listening. As the inferno envelopes every surface area of my mouth, I try counter-flooding with deep inhales through the nose. Naturally, I get a nose bleed.

To prevent myself from drowning, I begin gasping through the mouth while bending forward to control the bleeding. Presently, I get my food swallowed and am breathing like a barking seal but I am alive.

Except, General Vindaloo launched a recon in force into my nasal cavity via my tonsils and hid amongst the bleeding, and came out my nostrils.

Smokey, I had entered a world of pain. I'm flailing, wife has gone into ER mode, kids are confused, dogs 1/4 mile away were hiding under tables. I managed to not soil myself, and regained control. I finished the meal, the vindaloo, chicken, was absolutely delicious.

As the saying goes, knowing is half the battle.

Schiff Calls for More Investigations
It’ll keep the Democrats in the House too busy to do anything effectively troublesome until the Republicans regain the majority in November.
[BREITBART] Representative Adam Schiff
...Showboating U.S. Representative for California's 28th congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, Schiff has served in Congress since 2001. He currently serves as the chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In a manner reminiscent of Joe McCarthy, on March 22, 2017, in a interview with Chuck Todd on MSNBC Schiff claimed there was “more than circumstantial evidence now” that Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russia." Todd followed up by asking if he had seen direct evidence of collusion and Schiff responded that there was "evidence that is not circumstantial and is very much worthy of investigation"...
(D-CA) said Friday on NPR’s "Morning Edition" that he would like to continue investigating President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s "misconduct" by hearing testimony from acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Host Steve Inskeep asked, "Two officials, I could name many, but two officials still in the administration that you wanted to hear from ‐ Mick Mulvaney and Secretary of State Pompeo ‐ do you still want to hear from them?"

Schiff said, "I would still like to hear from them. But we have to make the decision about next steps in consultation with our caucus and our leadership."

He added, "what we’ll need to weigh is the need to validate Congress’ oversight authority, the need to make sure the American people understand the full length and breadth of the president’s misconduct, as well as others in the administration that were part of the misconduct. And at the same time, the imperative of keeping our legislative agenda first and foremost and striking the right balance between the two."

'That's crazy': Joe Manchin slams Jerry Nadler for suggesting more investigations into Trump
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] Sen. Joe Manchin slammed fellow Democrat Rep. Jerry Fester Bestertester Nadler
...the New York representative for life who stepped physically from the pages of Mad® magazine, head of the House Judiciary Committee...
for suggesting that the House would continue investigating President Trump’s conduct regarding Ukraine.

Manchin, who represents West Virginia, appeared Friday on Fox News to discuss his vote to convict Trump on both impeachment charges. Host Bill Hemmer also questioned Manchin on a claim the House Judiciary Committee made that Sherlocks would continue looking into Trump’s conduct.

"They’re crazy if [investigations into Trump over Ukraine] come back," Manchin said. "Well, I’m hoping the president has learned. Mr. President, we are equal powers."

When asked if Manchin would support "his fellow wardheelers pursuing [Ukraine] again," Manchin said, "No, absolutely not, unless the president continues using rogue proxies, such as Rudy Giuliani, running around, playing with foreign policy and the election process."

"I would think that the president would not do that, and, I don't think, if he didn’t realize that he had done it, it did happen, and it has got to stop," Manchin continued.

#3  Just listened to/watched Glenn Beck's podcast from last night on the Ukraine, corruption, money laundering and Trump. Lots of fluff and Beck-ian babble but if one can sit through it there is actually a pretty compelling alternative narrative to what we have been being fed. I don't think he quite takes it far enough though - I think Congress was complicit (in funding Ukraine military action) but did not want to actually take responsibility for that action, so has to misdirect investigation onto Trump (whom they all hate anyway) politics. The infamous Trump abuse phone call is placed in an entirely different - and much more logical - context. Worth watching but would be even better if he would condense it into a two page written article.

#4  Glenn Beck unveils money laundering scheme linked to Hunter Biden and Burisma

This provides context to President Trump's discussions last year with the president of Ukraine

In a Thursday night special, BlazeTV host Glenn Beck laid out the evidence implicating a possible international money laundering scheme linked to Ukrainian gas firm Burisma and former Burisma board member Hunter Biden.

The links provided by Beck show that $1.8 billion in U.S. taxpayer dollars sent to Ukraine during the Obama administration is unaccounted for — and raises the question: Why hasn't Congress launched an investigation into how those funds were spent?

What are the details?

During the special, Beck explained that in 2014, $23 million was sent to a bank in London via wire transfer by Mykola Zlochevsky, the head of Burisma. British authorities immediately froze the accounts and began tracing the funds back to their origins.

According to Beck, the evidence suggests that the money had been laundered through the minimally regulated Latvian banking system and transferred into an array of shell companies.

"Not only did Biden not seem to care about his new company being investigated for stealing and laundering money," Beck said, "he also apparently didn't mind that the primary owner of Burisma [Valeriyovych Kolomoyskyi] was on a U.S. visa ban list for — get this — murders and beheadings."

A few weeks after Burisma was implicated in a money laundering ring, Hunter Biden became a board member, and within a few months, then-Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry lobbied for $1.8 billion to be delivered into PrivatBank — which was owned by Kolomoyskyi and became Ukraine's state bank.

That $1.8 billion is still missing and could have gone anywhere — possibly into Kolomoyskyi's own pocket, or possibly spent in whole or in part to bankroll Ukraine's war with Russia, given that the oligarch was known for "bankrolling" the conflict. But if the funds were used to fund a war with Russia, those taxpayer dollars were not authorized by Congress.

The International Monetary Fund has also been investigating corruption and money laundering in Ukraine, and in 2016, the Ukrainian government finally seized PrivatBank from Kolomoyskyi for enriching himself off of IMF loans.

On September 10, 2019, the IMF informed the White House Budget Office that there was an "obligating event" that needed to occur in order for Ukraine to receive further IMF funds.

On Sept. 11, police special forces raided PrivatBank, seizing documents and evidence needed to investigate the scheme. The same day, President Donald Trump released military aid to Ukraine.

"Trump wanted a public announcement of 'investigations,' and everyone assumed that he meant an interview on CNN," Beck said. "I'd say a special forces daylight raid on Ukraine's biggest and most corrupt bank is one hell of a public announcement."

Votes for a guilty verdict and then pretends to be against any further follow up with a blind"we are equal powers, Mr. President", as a loyalty test or sumting. Do they really thing a GOPe Senator who votes yes, and tells the world he won't vote for Trump in 2020 is bi-partisan and not just Dem in disguise?

#14  Why hasn't Congress launched an investigation into how those funds were spent?

Probably not 'because they got a cut' (though certainly some did), but because it would show they were involved in an unacknowledged military action (sort of like Iran-Contra, perhaps) and don't want to face the political consequences of it coming out.

DNC Freakout: Ragin' Cajun hits Panic Button (‘Sanders is NOT A Democrat!‘)

#3  I think Carville and a lot of the other pretend-moderate dems are hypocrites when it comes to Sanders. They want to shut down physical industry, by lawfare is by no other method here in Louisiana (for instance) but still want to keep the bits of capitalism where they get to keep houses and shit, instead of being sent to the Laogai like everyone else.

AFTER they've given everyone else the choice of Medicaid or Death.

#10  Voice-O'-Reason or no, Carville at least recognizes basic political realities.

He and the remaining adults in his party can see that their candidates, their idiot House leadership and their moronic Squat are driving the party toward the cliff's edge.

Aside from the predictable partisan sneers at Trump, Carville made many astute observations in that interview with the Left-wing Vox whelp. A sample:

"So long as McConnell runs the Senate, it’s game over. There’s no chance we’ll change the courts, and nothing will happen, and he’ll just be sitting up there screaming in the microphone about the revolution. The purpose of a political party is to acquire power. All right? Without power, nothing matters."

"Here’s another stupid thing: Democrats talking about free college tuition or debt forgiveness. ... I can tell you that people all over this country worked their way through school, sent their kids to school, paid off student loans. They don’t want to hear this shit.

"... some people think there’s a real yearning for a left-wing revolution in this country, and if we just appeal to the people who feel that, we’ll grow and excite them and we’ll win. But there’s a word a lot of people hate that I love: politics.

"It means building coalitions to win elections. It means sometimes having to sit back and listen to what people think and framing your message accordingly. ..."
Posted by: Lex || 02/08/2020 12:25 Comments || Top||

#11  The big story of this ejection is that the Dems are failing to do, and Trump is exactly doing, what Carville and every other competent, intelligent, normal student of democratic politics and the art of power says you must do if you are to win ejections and gain or retain power: build a coalition that undermines the other side's coalition.

Trump is driving a stake through the Democratic Party.

He is going to split a significant number of African-American and Hispanic males off from the Democratic Party.

Just as Reagan split off working-class northern white union members in Macomb County MI and other bastions of Democratic strength, Trump will take enough votes from minority Makes in urban enclaves across the Midwest to bury the Dems this fall.

Carville sees this.
Van Jones sees this.
Every Dem strategist above the age of 50 can see this.

Elizabeth Warren apologizes 'without reservation' to women who left her Nevada campaign
[WASHINGTONTIMES] Elizabeth Being Native American has been part of my story since the day I was born Warren
...Dem Senatrix from Massachussetts, who traces her noble lineage all the way back to Big Chief Spouting Bull. It has been alleged that she speaks with forked tongue but she denies that. She had a DNA test to prove her lineage and it turns out she's colorless...
is apologizing to six women of color who left her presidential campaign office in Nevada before the state’s caucuses because they felt marginalized and because their concerns weren’t addressed by supervisors.

"I believe these women completely and without reservation. And I apologize that they have had a bad experience on this campaign," the Massachusetts senator told news hounds after an event in Derry, New Hampshire, on Thursday night.

"I tried to build a campaign and an organization that is diverse and welcoming, that celebrates people, that encourages people to bring their whole selves to work every single day," she said.
And what does it reveal about you as a candidate for the presidency, Madam Senator, that you have failed so completely in an area that for several decades you claimed to have personal experience — as a Native American?

Trump Beats Congressional Democrats’ Emoluments Lawsuit
More on this story from yesterday.
[BNNBLOOMBERG.CA] President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
beat back a lawsuit by 215 congressional Democrats who say he has been violating the Constitution’s emoluments clauses by profiting from foreign government spending at his Washington hotel and other properties.

A federal appeals court in Washington on Friday dismissed the case, saying members of the House and Senate lacked the legal standing to sue the president.

"The Members can, and likely will, continue to use their weighty voices to make their case to the American people, their colleagues in the Congress and the President himself, all of whom are free to engage that argument as they see fit," a three-judge panel of the federal appeals court in Washington said on Friday. "But we will not‐indeed we cannot‐participate in this debate, overturning an April trial court ruling." They heard arguments on Dec. 9 in Washington.

The Constitution bars presidents from accepting things of value, or emoluments, from foreign governments without congressional consent. The Democrats who filed the lawsuit had sought an order requiring the president to get approval to keep any profits from foreign governments and state-controlled companies.

The decision was the second by a federal appeals court throwing out an emoluments lawsuits against the president. A three-judge panel in Richmond, Virginia, last year dismissed a suit filed jointly by the attorneys general of Maryland and the District of Columbia. A three-judge appeals panel in New York revived a third suit in September, after a trial court judge dismissed it.

Trump has argued that profits from an ongoing business shouldn’t be considered emoluments. That question has yet to be addressed by any court. His family-owned company opened the D.C. hotel, in a building leased from the government, a few months before the 2016 election.

The case is Blumenthal v. Trump, 19-5237, U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia (Washington).
