[Yahoo] Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes released data this week showing how California’s SB54 sanctuary law allowed for over 2,000 illegal immigrants with outstanding ICE detainers to be released from custody over the last two years, with 411 of those later rearrested for additional charges.
Barnes’s data drew praise from acting ICE Director Matthew Albence, who released a statement Wednesday saying that "this is exactly what ICE has said time and again."
"These policies do nothing but ensure that criminals are released back into the community, where many re-offend, instead of being turned over to ICE," Albence said. "These are preventable crimes, and more importantly, preventable victims. As the data released by Sheriff Barnes clearly demonstrates, all communities are safer when local law enforcement works with ICE."
California’s SB 54 restricts law enforcement from notifying, transferring, and communicating with ICE regarding certain offenders. The Trump administration has petitioned the Supreme Court to strike down the statute

Even Israel only recently fenced off the border with Egypt, significantly reducing the flow of illegal Moslem colonist “asylum seekers” from Sudan and such.

In the restaurant business the head chef will taste a dish then add a pinch of something to it. It is called "pissing in the soup" enable the chef to take credit for the final results. It is OK if the chef know what he is doing but some time you end up with customers near barfing. It looks like the DNC pissed in the soup.

...Just as a point of information, Lackland has no runways. It's been the primary Basic Military Training facility for the USAF for decades, and is also home to a huge hospital at Wilford Hall. The plane would actually be landing a couple miles away at Kelly Field, then they'd be bussed over to Lackland.

However, our (gated) community management （kind of like an HOA?) has now limited our ability to leave once every 3 days for grocery shopping. When I was a kid living in Florida they would spray for mosquitoes like that. It made a dense fog and all the kids would run out into street. Probably some harmless chemical like DDT.
The pickup-mounted foggers were standard part of balmy summer evenings during childhood. And later, come to think of it; many a bike ride in NO, even post-K, involved navigating around those suckers. Nostalgic breath-holding sigh.

[Breitbart] The New York Times reported Friday morning that African American workers are seeing their wages rise for the first time after a "decade of stagnation," further evidence of the strength of the U.S. economy.
The Times report came as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the economy created 225,000 new jobs in January, smashing expectations. Unemployment ticked upward to 3.6% ‐ but that was due to more workers entering the labor force, generating the highest labor force participation rate thus far in the recovery from the Great Recession. Average hourly wage gains also rose slightly year-on-year, to 3.1%.
Black unemployment is near all-time lows, and now wages are climbing, the Times reported Friday:
President Trump frequently celebrates the experience of black workers, noting correctly that the group’s unemployment rate is at its lowest on record.
Their wages are also going up ‐ a New York Times analysis of government data found that wage growth for black workers has accelerated recently after lagging for much of the decade-long economic expansion.
The Times notes that black workers still face challenges, such as the rising cost of living in urban areas. It adds: "Not only did the gains take a decade of steady job growth to materialize, but they could evaporate at the first sign of economic weakness, as they did after previous expansions."

Rumeysa Demirtas described the panic she felt when she saw people fleeing the aircraft squeezing out of the cracks in the plane . She didn’t know if her visually impaired husband would be able to get out. That was before either of them knew about his broken bones.
"One or two people were shouting ’The plane will explode! Run!’ and I panicked even more ," she said. "A seat had fallen on my husband and (people) were stepping on it to pass through. I shouted, ’You’re trampling my husband. Someone help!"

[Wash Examiner] More than 7 out of 10 illegal immigrant families ordered to be deported have skipped their court dates and remain in the United States, according to federal statistics.
In just 10 courts, some 36,115 illegal immigrant families ordered out from September 2018 to January 2020 never complied with a requirement to attend their hearings and instead are hiding out in the country, according to a Justice Department report from the Executive Office for Immigration Review Adjudication Statistics.
The report, according to an analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies, found that during the period, 47,925 families were denied asylum and ordered deported, but 75% didn't attend their court hearings to get the order.
The statistics are the latest in a long string of reports that have detailed how illegal immigrants disappear into the U.S. once they enter.
"Their failure to appear suggests that they simply gamed loopholes in our immigration laws to gain entry into this country, to live and work indefinitely," said former Immigration Judge Andrew R. Arthur, writing for CIS.
"There is nothing wrong with people looking for a better life generally, of course, but the problem in these cases are that (1) they put themselves and their children in danger by entering illegally to begin with, (2) they gave money to criminals and cartels to be smuggled into the U.S., (3) they are swelling immigration court dockets with hearing dates they never attended and likely never planned to attend, and (4) they make it harder for legitimate asylum seekers to get protection in a timely manner, which would allow those aliens to start a new life free from fear and protect their family members still abroad. Oh, and illegal entry is a crime," he added.
The report said that as in the past, some 9 out of 10 immigrants seeking asylum into the U.S. were denied.
Over the 15-month period and 10 courts studied in the report, judges completed 52,646 cases resulting in deportations of 47,925 ‐ a 91% removal rate. That's why "Remain in Mexico" is such a successful program

[DAWN] A resolution calling for the public hanging of offenders convicted for sexually abusing and murdering children was passed in the National Assembly on Friday with a majority of votes.
The session was presided over by Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri.
The hand-written resolution, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, referred to the "brutal killing of 8-year-old Iwaz Noor in Nowshera".
"Strongly condemning" the death, the signatories wrote: "This house [...] demands that to stop these shameful and brutal killings of children and give a strong deterrent effect, the killers and rapists should not only be given death penalty by hanging but they should be hanged publicly."
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan presented the resolution in the parliament, which was passed by all politicians, apart from PPP's.
Raja Pervez Ashraf, PPP leader and former prime minister, said: "Ramping up the severity of punishments does not result in a reduction in crime."
"We cannot put public hanging into practice as it violates the laws of the United Nations ...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks... ," he added, reminding members of the parliament that Pakistain is a signatory to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

[RedState] Earlier this week we covered the story of John Dennis, the San Francisco GOP chairman who is also running for Nancy Pelosi’s congressional seat, who was threatened by an Antifa thug while participating in a cleanup event.
Thanks to journalist Andy Ngo, who’s known for covering Antifa’s misdeeds, we now know more about the thug. Ngo wrote at the Post Millennial:
A protestor recorded threatening to harm a San Francisco GOP chairman in a viral video has been identified as a local hip-hop DJ and public school social worker.
Stefan Goldstone, who performs as "DJ Sake-1," accosted John Dennis, 56, last Saturday at the Civic Center in downtown San Francisco during a cleanup event organized by Trump-supporting activist, Scott Pressler. Mr. Dennis is running as the Republican candidate against Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
Mr. Goldstone performs frequently in the Bay Area as a DJ and has reportedly been the opening act for hip-hop stars Mos Def and Kanye West. He currently works as a social worker for the San Francisco Unified School District. On social media, he expresses support for left-wing revolutions.
A public school social worker? It’s well-known that public schools are essentially run by lefty commies, but the thought that this man ‐ who called Dennis "racist," a "piece of s**t," and told him he wanted him dead, is advising children who are likely going through difficult and traumatic experiences.

Goldstone, as he said in the video, is a San Francisco native who has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Continues.
His very short "private" YT testimony for a "Medical Abuse Hotline" (or something like that) looked promising, but I can't be bothered to register. Nothing against the concept (quite the contrary), but low view numbers and everythingism-exciting appearance of contributors suggest an epic parade of squirrels.

I belive ( I am not a Dr.) Tamiflu is not effective after 48 hours from the onset of symtoms. The 4YO started showing symtpoms after the Rx was written so it would have been effective.
It is also pretty expensive - you have to wonder if that play a role. Pepperment oil anv Vitaman C are much cheaper.
But is it a prophylactic as well as reducing symptoms.
