[Breitbart] Under President Joe Biden, the foreign-born population of the United States has grown to its highest level ever recorded, the U.S. Census Bureau reports.
Over the last year, the Biden administration added two million new foreign-born residents to the U.S. population — illegal aliens and legal immigrants on green cards and visas — serving as a boon for Biden’s billionaire donors in the financial industry who are some of the biggest beneficiaries of mass immigration and an ever-growing populace.
According to Steven Camarota at the Center for Immigration Studies, who analyzed the latest Census Bureau data, the foreign-born population hit nearly 47 million this year, which is the largest ever recorded by the agency’s Annual Social and Economic Supplement survey.
Since 1970, the nation’s foreign-born population has quintupled and since 1980, it has tripled in size. In 1990, the foreign-born population was just half of what it is today — with 1-in-7 U.S. residents having been born outside of the country.
“The foreign-born share of the U.S. population is approaching the record highs reached in 1910 (14.7 percent) and 1890 (14.8 percent),” Camarota writes.

I can understand why Hunter goes through a whole lot of money in a short period of time causing spontaneous brokeness no matter how much the CCP pays him. What I don't understand is why Joe needs a lot of cash. Drive him through Dairy Queen once a day and get him 11 sets of child panties to wear on his head at a weekend garage sale and he should be all set. That is cheap stuff. He could retire to my neighborhood - maybe the next town over; we have standards.
Send the kid the presidential salary. It's not like Joe is earning it. The national railways are shutting down, but Joe will probably be playing with his Lionel set in his Delaware basement this weekend.

[Vinyard Gazette] A plane carrying approximately 48 migrants from Venezuela and Colombia landed unexpectedly at Martha’s Vineyard Airport Wednesday afternoon. Island officials and emergency management representatives were gathering to deal with the situation.
"We’re immigrants," said Eliase, who said he was from Venezuela. "We came here because of the situation in our country, for the economy, for work, for lots of things. I came here walking. We went through 10 different countries until we got to Texas. There a refugee association put us in a plane and told us there would be work and housing here. I feel good, despite everything. We spent four days in Texas so it’s good to be here."

The passengers were taken to Martha's Vineyard Community Services before being relocated to the cafeteria at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School, where they were given water bottles and fruit cups. Children were playing with chalk on the sidewalk outside.

A video provided to Fox News Digital shows the migrants deboarding the planes at Martha’s Vineyard Airport in Massachusetts.
"Yes, Florida can confirm the two planes with illegal immigrants that arrived in Martha’s Vineyard today were part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations," the governor’s communications director, Taryn Fenske, told Fox News Digital.
"States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states’ and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies," she said.
"As you may know, in this past legislative session the Florida legislature appropriated $12 million to implement a program to facilitate the transport of illegal immigrants from this state consistent with federal law," she added.
The office of Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker responded to an after-hours email from Fox News Digital, saying it was aware of the situation and that the arrivals were provided short-term shelter.
"The Baker-Polito Administration is in touch with local officials regarding the arrival of migrants in Martha’s Vineyard," Terry MacCormack, Baker's press secretary, wrote. "At this time, short-term shelter services are being provided by local officials, and the Administration will continue to support those efforts."
Fox News Digital reported in April that Florida’s budget since approved by the state legislature included $12 million for the Florida Department of Transportation to remove illegal immigrants from the state and relocate them.
Martha's Vineyard is famously known as a playground of rich progressives, including former President Barack Obama, who bought a multimillion-dollar house there in 2019.
DeSantis, a Republican, proposed Delaware or Martha’s Vineyard as a destination for such migrants, but his office explained at the time that they could also be sent "to other 'progressive' states whose governors endorse blatant violations of federal immigration law."
"It is not the responsibility of Floridians to subsidize aliens to reside in our state unlawfully; we did not consent to Biden’s open-borders agenda," the governor’s office said at the time.
In November, DeSantis said dozens of migrant flights landed in Florida at the behest of the Biden administration, and he threatened at that time to send them to Delaware on buses.
Meanwhile, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, began sending thousands of illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C., in April as the migrant crisis overwhelmed border states. In August, buses from Texas started heading to New York City and Chicago. Arizona has also sent buses to Washington.

[PJMedia] Labor headaches are the last thing any president needs — especially when it involves critical transportation infrastructure like railroads in an election year. So, on Wednesday, the eve of a potentially politically and economically ruinous rail strike, Joe Biden asked the two sides to meet in Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh’s office for negotiations.
Harry Truman reportedly tried this method of persuasion during the steel strike of 1949 by locking the negotiators for both sides in a room and not letting them out until they made a deal.
As it was, the two sides were making little progress until Biden called into the meeting around 9 p.m. After that, it was all downhill as a tentative labor agreement was reached a few hours later.
CNBC:
“The tentative agreement reached tonight is an important win for our economy and the American people,” Biden said in a statement. “It is a win for tens of thousands of rail workers who worked tirelessly through the pandemic to ensure that America’s families and communities got deliveries of what have kept us going during these difficult years.”
The White House had been in talks with railroad workers’ unions and companies for several months, but negotiations were hung up over unpaid sick time.
Once Biden got involved, the writing was on the wall. And not surprisingly, the unions made out like bandits.
The new contracts provide rail employees a 24% wage increase during the five-year period from 2020 through 2024, including an immediate average payouts of $11,000 upon ratification, according to the Association of American Railroads. All tentative agreements are subject to ratification by the unions’ membership.
It appears the union got the sugar while the companies probably got the vinegar. “Nice company ya got there, pal. Be a shame if the SEC got interested in your books.”
Biden, who has called himself the most union-friendly president in history and pilloried companies for raking in “excessive” profits, praised a deal that he said would give workers “better pay, improved working conditions, and peace of mind around their health care costs.”
Jacking up transportation costs in the middle of an inflationary period will probably mean the Fed’s inflation-fighting rate increases won’t mean squat. Biden may have solved his immediate political problem but what’s inflation going to look like a year from now? Presidential intrusions into the labor-management dynamic always end up being good for the union and not so good for the average consumer.

GDP Now measured by the Atlanta Fed is only +0.5 as of a few days ago
If there were a RR strike, even if only a few days, this would have guaranteed a GDP for 3Q that would be solidly negative - and that would have likely cost the Dems a half dozen House and one or two Senate seats.
The 3Q GDP might still be negative, even with a settlement, but only by a bit less than 1%.
