Mueller now the victim: 'Russian Trolls Release Fake Dirt on Mueller'
[Daily Beast] Evidence that was reportedly shared only with lawyers representing Russia’s Internet Research Agency was altered in a bid to "discredit the investigation," Mueller warns.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s case against Russian trolls accused of sowing disinformation to sway the 2016 election has itself fallen victim to what appears to be yet another Russian disinformation campaign, with troves of evidence altered, padded with garbage, and leaked to the Internet, according to a new court filing.

Mueller described the disinformation op in a court filing on Wednesday as "an apparent effort to discredit the investigation," an effort he traced back to evidence shared with a Russian company owned by none other than Yevgeny Prigozhin, a Kremlin ally known as "Putin’s chef" and the reputed puppetmaster of both Russian trolls and Russian mercenaries.

The company, Concord Management and Consulting, is accused of funding the Internet Research Agency troll farm, and as part of Mueller’s case against it, prosecutors had turned over about 800 thousand pages of non-sensitive evidence to Concord attorneys as part of the legal discovery process. Under a protective order, the discovery material is supposed to be used exclusively for preparing a defense.

But traces of that cache showed up in a hoax attempt that targeted journalists last year.

#2  Of course, if our crack team of prosecutors doesn't indict Concord (why did they do that again?), the Brady disclosure rule doesn't kick in and Concord doesn't have anything to share with the world. Second-order effects are a bitch. Assuming, of course, that Concord is the source of the info and not someone inside the prosecution.

Local 98 leader Johnny Doc, Councilman Bobby Henon charged in sweeping conspiracy case
[PHILLY] Federal authorities will announce criminal charges Wednesday against powerful labor leader John J. Dougherty, Philadelphia City Councilman Bobby Henon, and at least six others associated with their union, Local 98 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, according to three sources familiar with the investigation.

The specific charges ‐ and the total number of people facing prosecution ‐ remained unclear. But the sources, who were briefed on the results of the probe but not authorized to publicly discuss it, said Tuesday night that all those facing indictment are expected to surrender to authorities within days.

Nonetheless, the case against them threatens to destabilize not only the leadership of one of the region’s most politically influential unions but also the futures of dozens of Local 98 allies in elected office and the landscape of organized labor in one of the last American cities in which unions remain a powerful force.

In his 25 years at the helm of Local 98, Dougherty has built the 4,700-member organization into a potent political force, placing numerous allies ‐ mostly Democrats ‐ in elected and appointed municipal positions and developing it into the biggest independent source of campaign money in the state. The union was a crucial supporter of Mayor Jim Kenney’s 2015 bid for the city’s highest office.

Kenney, who appeared Wednesday morning at John F. Hartranft Elementary school in North Philadelphia for a celebration of city schools' achievements, said he could not comment on an indictment he had not read. Kenney said that no one in his administration was implicated in the forthcoming indictments.

Kenney stressed that he had been in contact with the U.S. Attorney’s office and that neither he nor anyone in his administration will be indicted. When asked if Henon should resign, the mayor said: "Bobby Henon should make the decision based on what’s best for his constituents."

Lawyers for both Dougherty, 58, and Henon, 50, declined to comment Tuesday. In a statement, Henon’s office said he had no plans to resign.

"He is confident that his colleagues will respect any possible upcoming legal process and support him," the statement read. "Councilman Henon is a dedicated public servant and will continue to serve as councilman."

Rand Paul wins $580K in damages from neighbor who attacked him
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Senator Paul (R-KY) claimed he feared for his life after Rene Boucher
...the Trump-hating Bernie Bro Democrat and retired anesthesiologist who bitterly blamed Senator Paul because his over-priced house had not sold in ten years of trying...
slammed into him and broke several of his ribs as he was doing yard work outside his Kentucky home
...actually, he cracked or broke six ribs, which also caused a dangerous pleural effusion and kept Senator Paul from the senate for quite some time, no doubt impacting quite a few votes.
  • Boucher said he 'wasn't thinking rationally' when he lunged at Paul but he plans to appeal the judgement

  • He attacked Paul after he 'lost his temper' over yard debris on property line

  • Boucher pleaded guilty to assaulting a member of Congress and has already served 30 days in jail

Russians Publish Confidential Mueller Docs
[NewsMax] Russian Twitter account published documents from one of the cases special counsel Robert Mueller has filed in an effort to spread disinformation, according to a new report.

CNN said Wednesday that the Twitter handle @HackingRedstone, which has since been suspended by the social media network, posted documents pertaining to Mueller's criminal case against Concord Management and Consulting in October. The sensitive material had been shared with attorneys but had not been made public.
CNN surely was not tipped off by Mueller. They must have observed unusual activity at the Kremlin.
It can’t possibly be disinformation if they are real, sensitive documents, right?
Mueller's prosecutors said the documents were not stolen in a hack, but rather someone with access handed them off for public dissemination.

The Department of Justice filed a court document Wednesday about the matter.

According to Wednesday's court filing, the FBI concluded that a computer in Russia was responsible for uploading the case documents.
A very slipshod, rogue operation. Maverick would have seen that the package was successfully delivered to the correct recipients.
This message appeared on the Twitter account @HackingRedstone on Oct. 22, 2018: "We've got access to the Special Counsel Mueller's probe database as we hacked Russian server with info from the Russian troll case Concord LLC v. Mueller. You can view all the files Mueller had about the IRA and Russian collusion. Enjoy the reading!"

Christie Doesn't Rule Out Another Run for President: ‘I Love the Executive Branch'
[The Hill] Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R.) said during an interview Tuesday that he had no plans to run for office again but wouldn't definitively rule it out.

In a rare appearance by a pro-Donald Trump voice on MSNBC's "Deadline: White House," Christie bristled at the idea of taking himself out of contention for anything at age 56. Host Nicolle Wallace noted the name of his new book, Let Me Finish, and asked if he was going to run again, without specifying an office.

"I don't have any plans to," he said.
Christie 'running' for anything is probably not an option.
"Oh, that's how it always starts!" Wallace said.

Christie said it was a no-win question, saying if he said no and circumstances arose that made him change his mind, they would play the tape of him denying it.

"I'm 56 years old, so I'm not going to preclude myself from doing anything in the future," he said.
Would you restrict road and bridge access if voters did not agree with you? We're not taking anything off the table.
Christie said "I love the executive branch" and would choose to be there, whether it was in an elected or appointed position. He ruled out running for Congress, saying he could never be "1 of 100" or "1 of 435," referring to the number of seats in the Senate and House of Representatives.
Gov't Christie doesn't stand a chance.
Christie often spoke scathingly of Congress and the Senate Republicans running for the presidency when he made his bid in 2016. He dropped out of the GOP presidential race after dismal finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire. He endorsed Trump in February of 2016, despite previously saying the eventual Republican nominee wasn't qualified, and became one of his main surrogates against Hillary Clinton.

Lindsey Graham Wants FBI Briefing On Roger Stone Raid
Good for Lindsay V2.0! Intimidation and PR Totally! At least they didn't kill anyone
[Daily Caller] Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham is requesting an FBI briefing about the circumstances of a pre-dawn raid of Trump confidant Roger Stone's home in Florida last Friday.

"I am concerned about the manner in which the arrest was effectuated, especially the number of agents involved, the tactics employed, the timing of the arrest, and whether the FBI released details of the arrest and the indictment to the press prior to providing this information to Mr. Stone's attorneys," Graham, a South Carolina Republican, wrote FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday.

Graham is requesting a briefing from the FBI by Feb. 5 into the raid, which he asserted matched the tactics typically used to arrest a violent criminal. (RELATED: Roger Stone Indicted)

He is also demanding to know whether the press was tipped off about Stone's impending arrest. CNN cameras were rolling as a swarm of armed FBI agents and U.S. marshals stormed Stone's property shortly before dawn on Jan. 25.

Stone was indicted under seal on Jan. 24 in the special counsel's investigation.

He is charged with five count of making false statements to Congress, one count of witness tampering and one count of obstructing an official proceeding.

The charges center mostly on Stone's conversations with associates and Trump campaign officials about WikiLeaks, which published emails stolen from Democrats during the 2016 campaign.

Loose-tongued Chris Christie downs tequila with Colbert before saying Trump threw him under a bus and that the President 'blew' the shutdown
[MAIL] Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has appeared in an interview with Stephen Colbert, downing shots of tequila as he boasted he'd have made a better president than Trump.

Christie appeared on Colbert's Late Show on Tuesday night, promoting his new book Let Me Finish, which details the backstabbing that led to his ejection from Trump's transition team.

After dropping out of the Republican presidential primary, Christie was the first major figure to endorse Trump's candidacy - but asked by Colbert if he'd have made a better president, the former governor replied simply: 'Yes.'

Colbert pressed Christie on his friendship with and support for Trump, saying, 'he'll throw anybody under the bus.'

'You think I don't know?' Christie replied to laughter from the audience. 'I got fired from the transition.'

Well, that pretty much summed up my sentiments. Since then, the Dims and the media have hugely proved the point.

Gov. Ralph Northam: Aborted ‘Infant' Saved if ‘Mother and Family Desired' in not, EXECUTED
[Breitbart] Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam said Wednesday that a bill introduced in the House of Delegates that would allow "abortion" even during childbirth itself would permit an "infant" to be "delivered" and "resuscitated, if that’s what the mother and the family desired," until the physicians and mother discuss what to do.

Northam, a Democrat, was elected governor of Virginia in 2018. He is a pediatric neurologist.

In an interview with WTOP-FM on Wednesday, he said the firestorm created by a bill introduced in the Virginia House of Delegates that would allow "abortions" even while the mother is dilating "was really blown out of proportion."

"When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of obviously the mother, with the consent of the physician‐more than one physician, by the way‐and it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities," Northam said. "There may be a fetus that’s non-viable."

Northam’s response, however, is inconsistent with the actual language of the legislation. HB 2491 specifically eliminates the requirement of more than one physician’s "consent":

DC Antifa Leader Charged With ‘ethnic Intimidation’ Related To Attack On Marines
Video of the unpleasant little miscreant can be seen at the link.
[DailyCaller] Washington, D.C. Antifa
...the armed wing of the Democratic Party...
leader Joseph "Jose" Alcoff, also known as "Chepe," was enjugged
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
and charged with multiple felonies in Philadelphia on Jan. 10 in connection to the Antifa mob attack against two Marines in November.

Alcoff faces 17 charges, including multiple counts of aggravated assault, ethnic intimidation, conspiracy and terroristic threats, and one count of robbery while inflicting serious bodily injury.

An affidavit filed in the case reveals that The Daily Caller News Foundation’s reporting on Alcoff’s connection to violent Antifa groups was an integral factor leading to his arrest.

The Marines, Alejandro Godinez and Luis Torres, testified in December that a group of 10 to 12 Antifa members called them "Nazis" and "white supremacists" and attacked them on the street despite their denials that they had no association with the right-wing group demonstrating nearby.

During the attack, Godinez said he shouted "I’m Mexican" at the mob, which allegedly led the attackers to call him a "spic" and "wetback."

Thomas Keenan and Thomas Massey were arrested in November in connection to the beating. Keenan, who has been called a "leader" of the Antifa contingent in the Philadelphia area, was arrested and charged with rioting alongside Alcoff in New Jersey in 2011.

Torres notified detectives in Philadelphia that Alcoff was a member of the group that attacked him after reading TheDCNF’s reporting detailing Alcoff’s connection to Keenan, Philadelphia Magazine reported, citing an affidavit filed in Alcoff’s case.

Torres provided police pictures of the suspects at the time of the attack, leading Sherlocks to "strongly agree" that Alcoff was the person in his photos, the affidavit states.

Alcoff is an organizer of Smash Racism DC, the Antifa group responsible for mobbing Fox News host and DCNF co-founder Tucker Carlson’s house in November and for chasing Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz from a D.C. restaurant in September.

Alcoff made significant efforts to separate his true identity from his fanatical personas, "Chepe" and "Jose Martin," TheDCNF reported in December.

Alcoff pled not guilty to the charges and is currently out on $15,000 bail. His lawyer did not immediately return a comment.
More from another Daily Caller article:
Joseph "Jose" Alcoff has been out of a job working for progressive nonprofit Americans for Financial Reform (AFR) since December, his former employer told The Daily Caller News Foundation on Tuesday.
