#1 China is entrenching all around its periphery + under increasing internal pressure to give up its historical "soft power/diplomacy" approach in favor of more aggressive, militaristic strategies = foreign policies.

China views formal reunification + "sole" sovereign control over TAIWAN as MAKING-OR-BREAKING ITS PERCEIVED OR DESIRED "POST-US", "FUTURE WORLD #1", "MANIFEST DESTINY" - IT WON'T GIVE UP SAME WIDOUT A FIGHT.

#2 JM I was curious if you would respond to this. I believe those in political power are foolishly strutting about. They use the military as they wish. Those I have read about in their military seem very sharp. I don't believe the political side is interested in their council. The big stick approach for China. This will drive a wedge between them and all their neighbors. Well, not North Korea. Yes, "approach in favor of more aggressive, militaristic strategies = foreign policies". The dreams of the political side.
