[ZeroHedge] Ever since the Biden administration began bussing thousands of migrants to Chicago, the city's black community has been less-than enthusiastic about their new neighbors.
In today's episode of the left eating its own - meet Chicago NAACP President Teresa Haley, who took things one step further in a leaked Zoom call from October, in which she likened immigrants to "savages, rapists and burglars."
"But these immigrants come over here, they've been rapin' people. They've been breaking into homes. They're like savages as well. They don't speak the language, and they look at us like we're crazy because we were the only people in America who were brought over here against our will, and were slaves.
"I'm tryin' not to be a ni**a but you know I'm pro-black, so, it's all about us, people. NAACP - what do those letters mean to you?"
"Springfield, Peoria, Bloomington, Kankakee, just get ready if you declared yourself to be a safe haven or a safe place for immigrants to come, because they are shopping around, and the busloads are coming," she said during a different segment of the tape.
"Black people have been on the streets forever and ever, and nobody cares," while the government is rushing to provide housing and other services to immigrants, she said.
Haley's comments drew harsh rebuke from Gov. JB Pritzker.
"Reprehensible remarks, I would hope that she would apologize for the remarks. I also think that people should recognize that immigrants to this country are all around us," he said.
Haley did apologize - but then after she was tracked down on vacation in Dubai by Chicago ABC station WLS-TV, she suggested it was a deepfake, saying "With AI, anything is possible."
Haley's comments sparked the resignation of Patrick Watson, who until recently was the president of the DuPage County branch of the NAACP.
"I think she should absolutely resign. I think she's unfit to be the president, the state president of the NAACP, someone that has that kind of sentiment and that kind of thought against migrant communities," he said.
"Taken out of context"
And of course, the new branch president, Michael Childress, says Haley's comments were 'taken out of context,' adding "These comments are not indicative of what the NAACP stands for. But again, I'm not going to speak on behalf of Teresa Haley and say she should or shouldn't resign or things like that."
[Breitbart] A 50-year-old male-born transgender swimmer has caused outrage after being allowed to compete in a teen girls’ swimming competition in Canada and was even allowed to undress in the girls’ changing room.
Outraged parents are blasting the Canadian swimming organization for allowing Melody Wiseheart to compete in the Trojan Cup in Barrie, Ontario, on Dec. 1-3.
Wiseheart, who competed at the East Bayfield Community Centre, is a professor at York University and has caused blowback before for competing against young girls.
But this month, parents are speaking out. One parent told the media that the girls were “terrified” when this 50-year-old man strolled into the locker room and began undressing in front of them.
The Mail added that parents organized to hold up a screen of towels to shield the girls from undressing in front of Wiseheart.
Despite the discomfiture of the parents, Wiseheart’s participation was sanctioned by Swimming Canada and Swim Ontario, which issued a statement to the Toronto Sun defending their decision.
“In partnership with Swimming Canada, Swim Ontario has a robust system of policies, procedures, and rules that support our member clubs in providing a competitive experience that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all participants,” the statement read.
“Swimming Canada and Swim Ontario believe swimming is for everyone… people of all shapes, sizes, genders, beliefs, and backgrounds should have the opportunity to swim to the best of their ability… with the expectation that our registrants treat each other with respect and dignity, and keep our sport environment free from harassment and abuse.”
The last time the activist professor swam against teenagers was in November when he swam in Toronto’s Markham Pan Am Centre during the Richmond Hill Aquatic Centre’s Fall Classic swim meet. The 50-year-old teacher swam against girls aged 13 to 15 in that competition.
During that meet, the organizers tried to deny that Wiseheart competed until they were confronted with a program of the meet proving that Wiseheart was on the schedule. They then admitted that he did compete.

[FoxNews] The White House issued new guidance requiring federal government employees to prioritize using electric vehicles (EV), trains and public transportation options when conducting official business.
The actions, which the White House said fulfilled President Biden's promise to "lead by example" on tackling climate change, seek to take advantage of the federal government's annual business travel purchasing power of $2.8 billion and status as the nation's largest employer. Overall, government employees on official business took more than 2.8 million flights, made 2.3 million vehicle rentals and took 33,000 rail trips last year.
"These operational changes will accelerate the clean transportation transformation, increase good-paying union jobs and create healthier communities," the White House said in a statement Thursday.
"President Biden’s Federal Sustainability Plan aims to reach net-zero emissions from overall Federal operations by 2050, including a 65 percent emissions reduction by 2030," it added. "Through new Federal employee travel guidelines issued today, the Biden-Harris Administration is advancing this goal by directing Federal agencies to prioritize the use of sustainable transportation for official and local travel, both domestically and internationally."
Under the guidance, government employees must rent an EV on official travel when the cost of the EV is less than or equal to the most affordable comparable gas-powered vehicle available. Additionally, employees must opt for EVs when using taxis and ride-share platforms when they are cost-competitive.
When they aren’t cost-competitive or when chargers are unavailable within a reasonable distance — between the two conditions, that will be almost all the time in almost all the country, not to mention trips abroad. What an impressive man our current president is, to be sure.
In addition, employees must only use rail on trips that require less than 250 miles of travel instead of driving or flying. For local travel, employees will be required to use public transportation, a rule that includes travel upon arriving at an offsite location.
"This will save taxpayer money and reduce pollution that jeopardizes people’s health and fuels the climate crisis," the White House said.
Sure it will.
As part of the announcement, rental car and ride-share companies issued a series of commitments to help the government achieve its goals. For example, Hertz is pledging to "substantially increase" EV rentals for corporate travelers next year, and Uber is expanding its "green curb at airports" program that gives riders perks to go green.
Maybe that’ll use up some of the huge unsold inventory of EVs plaguing the dealerships...
California's state government also pledged Thursday to issue guidance within the next six months to encourage its employees to opt for EV options when on official travel.
Shortly after taking office in 2021, Biden issued the goal of ensuring 50% of total domestic vehicle purchases are electric by 2030, a first-of-its-kind goal cheered by green energy industry groups and climate advocates. Since then, the administration has pursued various regulations that, while not explicitly mandating electric vehicles, would create strong financial incentives for manufacturers to produce more zero-carbon options and for consumers to transition to those options.
In April, the EPA proposed the most aggressive federal tailpipe emissions rules on light- and medium-duty emissions ever crafted. If finalized and implemented, 67% of new sedan, crossover, SUV and light truck purchases, up to 50% of bus and garbage truck purchases, 35% of short-haul freight tractor purchases and 25% of long-haul freight tractor purchases could be electric by 2032, the White House projected.
Months later, in July, the Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued its most aggressive fuel economy standards ever, an action critics say would increase consumer costs.
"We’re transforming clean energy development that’s [creating] good-paying jobs, including union jobs, in all of America," Biden remarked last month. "We’ve already attracted over half a tri- — we’ve attracted half a trillion dollars — a half of trillion dollars in private sector investment for my Investing in America agenda in clean energy and advanced manufacturing.
"We’re just getting — and we’re just getting started. And we really are. We’re just getting started."

I live in this region. To be clear, these dams account for 8% of the electricity in our state and almost all the electricity in the counties on the rivers. There is no proposed replacement for that lost electricity other than vague references to alternative energy. The majority of people in this area are Republicans, there have been multiple "hearings" on this topic and democrats have ignored all objections. Additionally, the decline in the salmon population appears to have more do to with ocean conditions and over fishing by the Russians and Chinese than with having to climb fish ladders in order to spawn. Also, democrats in the region, and I am one, mostly don't agree with this either. Our objections to our party leaders have been ignored. The people doing this have a very specific agenda and it basically boils down to giving a few tribal groups what they want, even if that harms everyone else.

The audience laughed ruefully. As far as I can tell, that comedy channel carries mainstream rather than cutting edge comedians, so the resentment must be quite widespread.
President Joe Biden celebrated the 13th year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act in March, calling the legislation an "extraordinary achievement" that insured more Americans through Medicaid. Obama and Biden assure Americans in the video that despite Republicans’ wishes, Obamacare is still in effect and encouraged viewers to sign up for the open enrollment program.
