[GatewayPundit] On Thursday Dr. Fauci complained publicly about Lara Logan’s comments comparing him to the Nazi doctor. VIDEO at the link.
Following her comments about Dr. Anthony Fauci during a Fox News appearance on Monday, Lara Logan has been noticeably absent from the airwaves this week, having made zero appearances since.
"Has Lara Logan been quietly benched by Fox News? All indications are yes," CNN’s Oliver Darcy pointed out in the Reliable Sources newsletter. "Fox isn’t commenting on the matter, but prior to that Monday appearance, Logan was a mainstay on the network. Now she has disappeared."
Darcy may have a point. Looking into some immediately prior appearances, we found that for the week of November 21 to 27, Logan was on that Sunday on Fox & Friends, and that Friday on The Faulkner Focus. That week the network also aired the Fox Nation "Patriot Awards" show, where Logan was a presenter.
The previous week, Logan was on with Trey Gowdy, Sean Hannity, Fox & Friends, Fox News Primetime, The Five, and America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino, where she spoke with Sandra Smith about terror and promoted her special on Fox Nation. So she regularly appears both on the network’s opinion shows and the dayside news programs.
While Lara Logan is neither a contributor nor host on Fox News Channel, like many Fox Nation personalities she is on the network a lot. Or rather, she usually is. She wasn’t in the days following the Mengele comments.

When AIDS spread among gay men and intravenous drug users four decades ago, it became conventional wisdom that the plague would soon devastate the rest of the American population. In 1987, Oprah Winfrey opened her show by announcing, “Research studies now project that 1 in 5—listen to me, hard to believe—1 in 5 heterosexuals could be dead of AIDS in the next three years.” The prediction was outlandishly wrong, but she wasn’t wrong in attributing the scare to scientists.
One early alarmist was Anthony Fauci, who made national news in 1983 with an editorial in the Journal of the American Medical Association warning that AIDS could infect even children because of “the possibility that routine close contact, as within a family household, can spread the disease.”
After criticism that he had inspired a wave of hysterical homophobia, Dr. Fauci (who in 1984 began his current job, as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases), promptly pivoted 180 degrees, declaring less than two months after his piece appeared that it was “absolutely preposterous” to suggest AIDS could be spread by normal social contact. But other supposed experts went on warning erroneously that AIDS could spread widely via toilet seats, mosquito bites and kissing.

And I am talking about people all across the world are saying this, because the response from covid, what it has done to countries everywhere, what it has done to civil liberties, the suicide rates, the poverty, it has obliterated economies."

[FoxBusinessNews] Strategy aims to leverage entire U.S. government to fight corruption.
"Corruption threatens United States national security, economic equity, global antipoverty and development efforts, and democracy itself," Biden said in a statement on June 3, 2021, as he established a fight against corruption as a core national security interest of the United States. "But by effectively preventing and countering corruption and demonstrating the advantages of transparent and accountable governance, we can secure a critical advantage for the United States and other democracies."
The strategy involves five pillars: modernizing, coordinating and resourcing U.S. government efforts to fight corruption; curbing illicit finance; holding corrupt actors accountable; preserving and strengthening the multilateral anti-corruption architecture; and improving diplomatic engagement and leveraging foreign assistance resources to fight corruption.
The strategy comes after federal departments and agencies conducted a review "to take stock of existing U.S. Government anti-corruption efforts and to identify and seek to rectify persistent gaps in the fight against corruption."
The strategy lays out a few different types of corruption:
Grand corruption: when political elites steal large sums of public funds or otherwise abuse power for personal or political advantage.
Administrative corruption: the abuse of entrusted power for private gain — usually by low- to mid-level government officials — in interactions with citizens and the private sector, including to skirt official regulations and extort citizens in exchange for their basic services.
Kleptocracy: a government controlled by officials who use political power to appropriate the wealth of its nation. Can include state capture.
State capture: when private entities improperly and corruptly influence a country’s decision-making process for their own benefit.
Strategic corruption: when a government weaponizes corrupt practices as a tenet of its foreign policy.

[Townhall] Days after news came out that Vice President Kamala Harris would be losing not only her top adviser, Symone Sanders, but two other staffers, The Washington Post ran a piece noting the departures "[reignite] questions about her leadership style—and her future ambitions."
The article comes less than a month after CNN ran a brutal story on the "entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus" by the VP and her staff.
In the report published Saturday, WaPo details how former staffers who worked with her prior to her becoming VP, said a "consistent problem" with the Democrat is that she would "refuse to wade into briefing materials prepared by staff members, then berate employees when she appeared unprepared."
"It’s clear that you’re not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work," one former staffer told the Post. "With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully and it’s not really clear why."
One defense of Harris came from Sean Clegg, a political consultant who once advised Harris—but in doing so he compared her to Donald Trump.
