[NYPost] A 44-year-old man wanted for an alleged assault remains in a tree on 145th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens.
This guy's escape attempt is getting pretty squirrelly.
A Queens man who tried to avoid arrest by climbing into a tree Wednesday, refused to come down for more than 48 hours, police said Friday.
The 44-year-old man, who was wanted in connection to an alleged assault, has camped out in the tree outside a home on 145th Avenue in Jamaica since 2 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
He had been peeing in the tree and surviving off some food and glucose pack officers gave him Thursday, according to police sources.
The cops had put the provisions on the roof and the 44-year-old jumped over to grab them, but quickly returned to his perch, the sources said.
At one point overnight, though, sources said the man was eating leaves.
Neighbors told cops that the man has often hidden in that tree, according to sources.
[TOWNHALL] One day after pulling a gun and firing on his classmates and teacher, the suspected Arlington, Texas, school shooter not only walked free after meeting a $75,000 bail, but partied with his family upon returning home.
According to witnesses, the suspected shooter fired "seven or eight times" at a 15-year-old classmate with whom he had just gotten into a fight. He also shot his teacher in the back and another teenage girl was grazed by a bullet. He then fled the school.
After a bondsman met the bail terms, the suspect was met with a welcome home party by his family, even as one of the victims remains at death's door.
The student, who was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, was seen in videos shared in social media enjoying a celebratory family gathering in his kitchen, The Sun reported.
Meanwhile, ...back at the dirigible, Cynthia backed into the galley, the barbecue fork held in front of her. Jack! she called. Where the hell are you?... 15-year-old student Zacchaeus Selby, who was struck four times during the gunfire, remained hospitalized in an induced coma, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
"Zacchaeus is a bright young and respectful individual who lit up a room every time with his presence," according to a GoFundMe account set up to raise money for his medical expenses and legal costs.
"He has a heart of gold and does not deserve to be fighting for his life in the ICU due to being shot in an environment were (sic) kids should feel safe. He is a great brother, boyfriend, and coworker and does not have a bone in his body to bully anyone," the fundraiser adds. (New York Post)
Teacher Calvin Pettitt, who tried to break up the fight, is also still in the hospital.

A school shooting in front of witnesses and he is out on bail. Words fail.

What he deserves I do not claim to know, but I saw Zacchaeus light up the room on the video. Revenge isn't self defense, but if you're going to allow youts' to light up the room you sure can't be but so surprised when revenge shows up.

I'd like to know where this young wanna-be killer got his money to buy top-of-the-line clothes, a 2018 Dodge Charger and make bail. Mickey-Ds? I don't think so.
Hey there are so-called insurrectionists with phonied-up charges still languishing in jail in Washington, DC for essentially nothing. And what about the young thugs who burned, looted and even killed across the country during the past couple of years (Antifa and BLM)?

Law abiding white gun owners are the target of dem gun laws. If this had been a Dylan Roof or Nicholas Cruz type, he'd not be out on bail.

#3 The Deep State cadre and ruling elite are sharing their long-standing criminal immunity. We knew it was coming, we just didn't know exactly when.
It's here. Here and now.
I agree with the other poster this morning on the Newsome thread: it's time to separate from these sick bastards. Can't live in the same country anymore. Divorce time.

Dear #8, Zacchaeus is the name of the victim of this mass-school-shooter. He is the one in the ICU unit while this slimeball parties before skipping town.
(apologies to all real slimeballs for the comparison)

[REGNUM] During the week, 25 foreign reconnaissance aircraft approached the borders of Russia. This was reported on October 8 by the official publication of the Ministry of Defense "Krasnaya Zvezda".
Also during this period, 33 foreign drones were recorded carrying out aerial reconnaissance along the Russian borders.
It is reported that all of these objects were tracked by Russian radar stations. In order to prevent violation of the border, fighters from the air defense duty forces were sortied twice.
According to the Ministry of Defense, there were no violations of the airspace of the Russian Federation in any of the episodes.
It appears pressure was applied as a result of the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers to the local military prosecutor's office to initiate, at least, an investigation.
In the Tagil missile division in the Sverdlovsk region, two conscripts died in two days. One of them, according to the Central Military District (CVO), got lost in the woods during an exercise, where he climbed onto a power transmission line and died from an electric shock.
The committee of soldiers' mothers "Kommersant-Ural" said that the disappearance of the soldier was noticed only a few hours later, and his search began only the next day. The second conscript committed suicide before joining the outfit with a service weapon. In this regard, a special commission of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was sent to the unit. The Committee of Soldiers' Mothers described the unit as "very good", there were never any problems there.
In ZATO Svobodny (Sverdlovsk region) in the 42nd Tagil missile division (military unit 34103), two conscripts died in two days - Ivan Katlinskikh, called up from the village of Berdyuzhe (Tyumen region) and Mikhail from the Penza region.
The body of Ivan Katlinskikh was found the day before, on September 28, in the forest near the missile unit. According to the official information of the Central Military District, in the afternoon of September 27, during the planned command and staff exercises, the soldier retreated into the forest and got lost. With him, he had a bayonet-knife and an AK-74 submachine gun without ammunition.
Trying to determine his location, the conscript climbed onto the power line support, he was electrocuted, from which he died in place. This part refers to the Strategic Missile Forces (Strategic Missile Forces). Scheduled command and staff exercises with the Tagil missile formation began on Tuesday. In total, more than 3 thousand servicemen and about 300 pieces of equipment were involved in the exercise.
In a nuclear missile unit, which is located near Nizhniy Tagil, two soldiers were killed in two days. One died of an electric shock while climbing a power line. According to the official version, the guy got lost in the forest during a training exercise. Perhaps, in order to find his bearings and find his way, he climbed onto the power line.
[Lenta] The prosecutor's office opened a case of hazing in a military settlement, where two soldiers died
In the closed-type settlement (ZATO) Svobodny, Sverdlovsk region , where the 42nd missile division is stationed, the military prosecutor's office conducted an inspection after the death of two soldiers. As a result, a criminal case on hazing was initiated. This was reported to E1.ru by the Deputy Military Prosecutor of the 24th Military Prosecutor's Office of the Army, Lieutenant Colonel of Justice Alexei Varchuk.
According to him, the prosecutors are faced with the task of finding all the servicemen against whom the illegal acts were committed, and bringing the perpetrators to justice. Victims are being identified, but not all soldiers are ready to talk about the crimes committed against them due to fear of revenge. To protect them, the prosecutor's office is making efforts to transfer victims to other units.
Varchuk pointed out that no cases of hazing have been identified so far in the units where the soldiers died. Prosecutors have not yet clarified the cause of the soldier's suicide and the facts of hazing against him. There is no bodily harm on his body, except for those that he himself inflicted on himself. Varchuk noted that the deaths of the two soldiers are not related, they did not even know each other.
But in another military unit, also stationed in Svobodny, hazing was revealed, a case was initiated against Ensign Utigenov, who beat the soldiers. The materials so far feature six criminal episodes, which are qualified under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Excessive powers").
“Things were going on in this unit that were definitely criminal. It was revealed that a number of servicemen suffered from this warrant officer. He beat soldiers for symbolic violations, ”Varchuk noted.
In September, two conscripts were killed in two days in Svobodny. One got lost in the forest during an exercise, climbed onto a power transmission tower, where he was electrocuted, and died. The second conscript committed suicide. A few months ago, two officers died there - the captain and the senior lieutenant.
[HOTAIR]I’m guessing that this topic didn’t make it onto the agenda during Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. An incredibly corrupt version of Jar-Jar Binks, only well into his dotage. The dumbass who abandoned Afghanistan.... ’s recent phone call with Xi Jinping. It’s being reported today that the United States military has had a small contingent of troops, both soldiers and Marines, operating in Taiwan for the past year. The troops have reportedly been conducting training for Taiwanese troops in both ground tactics and small boat operations. Needless to say, the Chinese are not thrilled with this news and see it as a breach of longstanding agreements between America and China. To put it mildly, they’re not taking the news well.

Why doesn’t Taiwan make a poison pill defense? Given the biggest value of Taiwan is their chip fabrication and foundries, state that any invasion will be met by a complete destruction of all chip plants and all data. Nobody wants the Chicoms to have those resources. And putting them on the table up front might reduce the likelihood of an invasion

^ Good in theory. In practice, it's such a big prize, the efforts China would make to compromise those in charge of pushing that button are huge.

You are thinking in terms of conventional war objectives of material gain. We misunderestimate the strength of China's determination to return their renegade province back to where it belongs as part of the Middle Kingdom, between Heaven and Earth. It is not a passing fancy.
Taiwan is not a big place, slightly smaller than Maryland and Delaware combined, according to CIA World Factbook. Full-scale modern war will make a big mess. An inconvenience, but the big problem for China is the trade disruption war would bring.
Our attempts to lure China into the community of nations via trade failed - Imperial China is still Imperial China - but now China cannot survive without international trade. They import food and raw materials. Their economy would crater without its export markets. The trick will be to get Taiwan back without breaking all that. Hence, the territorial salami-slicing, military jostling, and attempts to buy politicians and institutions.

[OneIndia] A tense standoff took place between India and China after troops of the latter transgressed in Arunachal Pradesh. The incident took place last week across the Line of Actual Control.
A source tells OneIndia that in this area Chinese incursions have taken place several times. Both sides disengaged after a physical engagement took place. It lasted a few hours, the source also said.
No damage was reported to the Indian defence sector and unverified reports say that some Chinese soldiers may have been detained, following the incident. Both sides undertake patrolling activities up to their line of perception, the source said while also adding that there is a difference in perception of the Line of Actual Control in this area.
It may be recalled that last month there were reports of incursion by the Chinese forces in Uttarakhand. It was reported that on August 30, nearly 100 Chinese soldiers transgressed 5 kilometres across the LCA in the Barahoti region and returned a few hours from the area that is guarded by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
Meanwhile the tense standoff along the LAC in eastern Ladakh continues. India has identified at least 18 friction points and says that unless and until these issues are resolved the standoff would continue.
India has engaged with China both at the military and diplomatic level to iron out differences and restore normality along the LAC. The date for the next round of military commander level talks is yet to be fixed.

China is a very poor neighbor. Disputes with all that border it. Internal problems only increase. I foresee major problems in all aspects of their country on the horizon for China.

Yet critics say a 15% rate is too low, and firms will get around the rules.
Precisely one 'critic' is mentioned in the article, referenced in the passive voice, and one presumably with a vested interest in the outcome. Funny how they don't even bother with Tax Critic #2.
At least its a starting point to work from.
Now tighten up the ALL the LOOP HOLES and hidden exemptions.
Plus what M. Murcek said in the #2 comment is valid.
"Corporations don't pay taxes. Their customers do. "
QUESTION:
How about US Constitutional Amendment to get rid of the ALL Income taxes and just go with a 15% Value Added Flat Tax? With $20.53 Trillion in consumer spending (2018), that works out to something like $3.079 Trillion in Tax revenue and eliminates a lot of hidden taxes.
Plus it kinda forces Congress and States to be more careful in passing needless Laws and spending frugal.
