[ABC7] Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,'s population fell by more than 182,000 people in 2020, marking the first year-over-year loss ever recorded for the nation's most populous state.
State officials announced Friday that California's population dipped 0.46% to just under 39.5 million people from January 2020 to January 2021.
The news comes one week after the U.S. Census Bureau announced a paltry population growth for California, resulting in the state losing a congressional seat for the first time because it grew more slowly than other states over the past decade.
But the census numbers reflect the state's population in April 2020. The new state numbers released Friday reflect the state's population as of January 2021.
Among California's largest cities, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... , Long Beach and Anaheim saw their population shrink. Meanwhile Fresno, Sacramento, Oakland and Bakersfield gained residents.

They're trying to say it's from covid deaths. Never mind the fact that people are leaving the state in droves to escape high taxes, communist teachers, high cost of housing and congestion.

The illegals? They're taking over. We have apartment complexes springing up all over the place. Gotta have affordable housing for the illegals and the homeless, you know. Of course it's not really affordable and it's making a mess of once nice neighborhoods but Newsom says we gotta have it.

[NYPOST] The state attorney general is now investigating whether Gov. Cuomo’s COVID-19 vaccine czar pressured county leaders to support the embattled governor, holding out access to the life-saving jab in the process.
Two Democratic county executives told The Post Saturday they had been contacted by state Sherlocks in March over Larry Schwartz, a longtime aide to Governor Cuomo who is overseeing the vaccine rollout.
"Yes, it was a formal interview," said one county executive, describing an hour-long Zoom call with two Sherlocks and an assistant from the attorney general’s office.
The executive, who said he was not under oath during the interview, was asked to give the Sherlocks phone records and text messages.
Schwartz, a former secretary to the governor, canvassed state county officials in March to gauge their loyalty to Cuomo, according to reports. New York Attorney General Tish James is already investigating Cuomo, who has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women — allegations he has vigorously denied.
Lindsey Boylan, one of his accusers, condemned Schwartz in a tweet Saturday.
"Larry Schwartz is not a public servant," she wrote. "He is an enforcer who represents the worst of @NYGovCuomo’s corrupt administration. Linking life-saving vaccine access to political support for the governor is a criminal abuse of power."

[OANN] President Trump has endorsed the upcoming audit of the 2020 elections in New Hampshire while the state appoints members of the audit team. The 45th president congratulated the citizens of Windham Thursday for their effort to restore the integrity of elections in their state.
President Trump also praised the media outlets that have covered the Windham incident and the ongoing fight for election integrity, which includes One America News. He said the Democrat fake news media are suppressing the truth about the Windham incident while local patriots are working to reveal the truth.

This would be a good time for the state to decide that if Dominion does not comply by the end of the week, then all contracts with them will be revoked immediately, and barred from any new contracts for at least a decade.
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Arizona Audit Director Ken Bennett joined One America News to discuss the latest developments in the Maricopa County forensic audit.
On Thursday The Gateway Pundit reported on this explosive news from Arizona.
The Maricopa County Election Board claimed this week they do not have ’Admin’ access to their county’s voting machines.
If this is the case, then the County did not own the election process they ceded it to their external vendor.

[ISSUESINSIGHTS] The latest jobs report shows that President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier... is already leaving his imprint on the economy. Job growth was "unexpectedly" slow, and unemployment climbed, despite a massive shortage of workers.
When the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the jobs numbers for April, the press seemed stunned. Only 266,000 jobs were created, which is 800,000 below forecasts. The job creation number for March had to be revised down by 146,000. And unemployment ticked up for the first time since the lockdown.
The New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... said that "Jobs Report Shows Surprising Slowdown in Hiring." Another said "New Jobs Report Shocks Experts With Unexpected Hiring Lag."
Biden himself felt the need to defend himself on Friday, saying that the economy is improving despite the lousy numbers, tried to convince the public that the recovery would be a slog (while also bragging about how great he’s doing), and said more government help is needed.
The fact that anyone is surprised by the jobs numbers, or that anyone thinks more government intervention is needed, would shock us if we weren’t so used to rampant economic illiteracy.

Also, I don't know if it's in California, but my ex daughter-in-law has discovered that if you work one day, and then quit, you can start on another round of unemployment.

One place I saw is offering $18/hour AND health benefits.
[NYPOST] GOP Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis has demanded President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?...... and Attorney General Merrick Garland send the feds to Gotham to help the city in its losing battle against rising crime. "We need a marshal out here! Is Rooster Cogburn still working?" Partial to Cordell Walker myself "We urge you to deploy additional law enforcement officers to New York to assist our police force until our communities no longer face this daily and growing threat of gun violence," the freshman Staten Island politician wrote in a May 7 letter to both men she shared with The Post. "We're glad yer here, Marshal! The Cuomo Brothers and their men're holed up in the Stock Exchange!... Look out! [KERPOW!]... That was close!... Marshal? Marshal??"
"While this rise in crime should be handled on a local level, partisan ideology has clouded the judgment of far too many in our city and state leadership." "The Sheriff was unexpectedly called out of town. He always is when they get riled up!"
Malliotakis circulated the letter to her colleagues in New York City and Long Island, but was only joined in the call by a fellow freshman, Sayville, L.I., Republican Rep. Andrew Garbarino. "Wellll... I dunno, Miss Nicole. Do we want to give 'em an excuse to go off again?"
"Have they ever needed an excuse, Mayor?"
"New York City summers have been historically violent mostly peaceful," the letter continued. "Compared to the same week in 2020, April 19 through April 25 last month saw an increase in shootings of over 250 percent with 50 people shot compared to 14 last year." "String a few of 'em up and it'll stop quick enough."
"No, no. That won't work! That'll make us no better than them!"
"Shuddup, De Blasio!"
"Who's that dumbass?"
"The mayor."
The missive was thin in specifics, however, with her office clarifying that Malliotakis wanted to see "federal law enforcement officers from the appropriate agencies" — not the National Guard — sent to New York City to assist the NYPD. She also wants the Department of Justice to push U.S. Attorneys to better prosecute federal gun crimes. "That's if there's any of 'em left after Marshal Cogburn gets done with 'em."
"I told you, there ain't no Marshal Cogburn. That's just a book."
"I seen 'im in the movies!"
"I seen Spiderman in the movies too!"
"You think we could get him?"
"Doubt he'd be interested. The Cuomo Boys ain't supervillians. They're jest bad."
"As we’ve seen in other cities that have experienced unprecedented levels of gun violence, the federal government has sent officers from ATF, FBI, the DEA and U.S. Marshals Service," Malliotakis told The Post. "If the mayor isn’t going to allow the NYPD to do its job, the feds should step in to protect residents, get criminals off the street and get this growing problem under control." "Can we get Bass Reeves? And maybe Judge Parket?"

... as we did from 1995-2019, then the murder would fall as it did from 1995-2019. Mass incarceration worked.
Words I never thought I’d write. A lifelong Big Apple advocate who’s shared my optimism in these pages through our worst days — after 9/11 and throughout the pandemic — I now see little to no hope of rescuing our socio-political culture from its decline into nihilistic lunacy.
This week, New York City public schools abolished Columbus Day for Indigenous Peoples’ Day — a move that offends me less as an Italian American than as an American.
Banning Columbus is not about addressing the explorer’s wrongs, which have been no secret to any educated person for at least 50 years. It’s undeniable that his "discovery" of America led to cruel subjugation of Native Americans. But it also opened the door to a New World that people around the globe came to envy for its humanistic culture, material abundance and however-imperfect embrace of individual liberty. If Columbus "discovered" America, canceling him is about canceling America.
What’s more, Columbus committed his crimes against humanity over five centuries ago, when slaughter and slavery were the way of much of the world. And yet, our city celebrates criminals who committed their heinous deeds in much more recent memory.
Take, for example, Oscar Lopez Rivera, who was invited by our City Council to lead the Puerto Rican Day Parade in 2017 — just 25 years after helming the terrorist organization FALN, which launched more than 100 bombings on US soil.
Or early 20th century black separatist Marcus Garvey, who wanted to repatriate black Americans to Liberia. He consorted with the Ku Klux Klan on how to achieve it. He was so nuts that fellow radical W.E.B. Du Bois condemned him as "the most dangerous enemy of the Negro race in America and in the world." Garvey blamed "dirty Jews" for a fraud conviction that sent him to prison — a crime for which former President Barack Obama How much damage could he do in four years?... Eight, then... declined to pardon him.
But in our looney-tunes town, Garvey could do no wrong. Thanks to city babus bureaucrats, his name adorns a Harlem park and a Brooklyn housing project.
Fact: Many of our city’s leaders really, truly, do not like this country at all — from its "inequity" to its health care to its fast food. And they’ve seized control of the microphone like Third World guerrillas who breach the palace defenses.

[NYPOST] Scott Stringer’s mayoral campaign is struggling after a single woman accused him of groping her and making multiple advances. The city comptroller denies it, but his own past words don’t help.
In 2018, Stringer had no trouble believing the claims against then-Supreme Court justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, condemning his supposed actions in a statement even though Kavanaugh vehemently denied the charges, as did every other possible witness.
In 2019, Stringer wrote to the board chairman of McDonald’s to attack the company for failing to fire CEO Steve Easterbrook "with cause" for consensually sexting with a subordinate employee.
He’s also joined the chorus of officials calling for Gov. Cuomo to resign after multiple women came forward with allegations of sexual harassment.
Then again, Cuomo also slammed Kavanaugh, attacking him for not taking a polygraph test. Funny: The gov hasn’t taken one himself to answer his accusers.
Yes, it’s tough for anyone who joined the condemn-Kavanaugh movement to suddenly face similar accusations. Stringer’s stuck saying it’s vital that "women are heard" when they make such charges while insisting that the ones against him are "totally and completely false."
Think before you posture, we’d suggest.

Jeez - the headline in no way matches the facts:
Then again, Cuomo also slammed Kavanaugh, attacking him for not taking a polygraph test. Funny: The gov hasn’t taken one himself to answer his accusers.
In what manner has Cuomo 'paid the price'? He's still in office and his reputation took a hit (not amongst us - he'll always be a scumbag to me), and that's about it.

Cuomo needs to be charged with manslaughter, remember?
This scumbag actually did "kill grandma" -- thousands of elderly New Yorkers -- and lied about it. And his rivals talk about harassing women....
What an absurd time we're living through -- absurd and deeply sick
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] A decade-long ban on controversial earmarks - which allow funding for House members' personal projects - has just been overturned
Since then Democrats and Republicans have flooded the House with funding requests
Funding requests include $4million for a science center, $407K for Native American arthritis, $436K for a yoga retreat and $250k for the Michelle Obama library
Sen Pat Toomey said the projects were 'incredibly abusive', and used by Democrats to 'buy votes'
He cited the 'bridge to nowhere' as a previous example of a wasteful earmark spending project
Forbes reported 3309 requests had been proposed by 324 members of Congress
Democrats requested 2,338 earmarks for $4.94 billion, while Republicans requested 971 earmarks for $4.7 billion

Most corrupt political class in 140 years. And it's happening right in front of our eyes.
What a complete shitshow this nation is becoming
(mustreadalaska)You can leave keys in the snow machine. You can leave your keys in the truck. But with a proposed bill by two Fairbanks lawmakers, it would be a crime to leave a gun unlocked in your home if something terrible happened with that gun. House Bill 203 has been offered by Rep. Adam Wool and Rep. Steve Thompson, and once again, puts the personal safety of Alaskans in the crosshairs.
HB 203 is intended to prevent firearm accidents. Law enforcement officials would be able to issue a citation of up to $1,000 if there’s a death or even an injury with a firearm, if police can determine a firearm that was unlocked.
Many women, but also men who keep guns in their homes might be ill-served by government telling them they must keep those firearm in a locked case.
Referred to House State Affairs and Judiciary committee, the bill is sure to be controversial. It’s likely that the NRA will oppose the legislation, as it has done in other states. It would be surprising to see the legislation pass in Alaska, and even more surprising to see this governor sign it.
"This bill has bipartisan support as it should since all are affected when a child dies or is injured by an unsecured firearm," said Wool, a Democrat from Massachusetts who represents Fairbanks. "If this bill prevents one accident or suicide then we’ve accomplished a great thing."
"Representative Wool and I are both parents of young children, and we care deeply about their safety. House Bill 203 is all about promoting safety," said Rep. Steve Thompson, the Republican co-sponsor of the bill. "This bill is not an infringement of Second Amendment rights, and it’s not about taking guns away from anyone. It’s about preventing tragic accidents and only gets acted upon if such a tragedy occurs."
Since 2019, the Seattle has a "Responsible Storage " that requires gun owners to keep their guns in a locked container when not being carried by them or under their control, and imposes fines for crimes committed with an unlocked stored gun.
HB 203 will be heard by the State Affairs Committee and Judiciary Committee. Rep. Andy Josephson of Anchorage has signed on as a cosponsor.
