Islamabad Hails Presidential Decree on Pardoned Pakistani Prisoners
[KhaamaPress] Pakistain Special Envoy for Afghanistan welcomed Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. ’s Orders to release Paks imprisoned in Afghanistan on humanitarian grounds, Pakistain is grateful for the "goodwill Gesture"

Afghanistan's Caped President Ashraf Ghani has pardoned several Pak prisoners and ordered their release on Tuesday, according to a presidential decree.

The presidential decree does not mention, how many Paks will be freed, but Ghani stated, "In line with the order, Section 18 Article Sixty-four of the Constitution, keeping in view of good faith, to strengthen friendly relations with the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Pakistain, I issue this order to pardon the imprisonment of convicts of the citizens of the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Pakistain who has been sentenced with the final decision of the courts."

The decree was released just a day before Imran khan’s visit but was kept confidential.

Paks whose imprisonment is left one month will be pardoned by the given decree; those incarcerated due to non-payment of fines are also among those pardoned.

Earlier, peace envoy Khalilzad said, "We welcome and are encouraged by the positive development in Pakistain-Afghanistan relations. If implemented, it provides an opportunity to move forward on peace and development in the region."

President Ghani Orders Implementation of Public Trials of Terrorists, Says Saleh
[KhaamaPress] First Vice President Amrullah Saleh says President Ghani has ordered a public trial of the terrorists.

Saleh said on Tuesday during the 6:30 morning meeting, President has allowed public trials for those who are involved in terrorist activities.

Earlier, the first vice president had called on the country’s courts to hold public trials of perpetrators of terrorist acts; nationwide courts are called on to invite the families of victims of the terrorist attacks as witnesses during the trial.

President Ghani has responded to the demands of the people, and has issued a public court order for the terrorists, Saleh said.

Holding a public trial of members of terrorist groups who have committed terrorist crimes has been one of the basic demands of the citizens of the country in recent years.

The public has repeatedly called for a public trial by the Afghan judiciary through protest rallies, but such demands have always been opposed by a number of human rights

We Cannot Let ISIS Rebuild in Afghanistan the Terror Caliphate it Lost in Syria and Iraq: NATO
[KhaamaPress] NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the 66th Annual Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on Monday said its alliance "cannot let ISIS rebuild in Afghanistan the terror caliphate it lost in Syria and Iraq," adding NATO mission will continue to provide support to Afghan cops.

While President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
pushes through the February accord on troops withdrawal, NATO has repeatedly warned of greater risk if the United States pulls out its forces from Afghanistan "too soon" or "uncoordinated".

"As you know, the United States has announced that it will reduce its presence in Afghanistan. But the NATO mission will remain," Stoltenberg said. "And we will continue to provide support to Afghan cops."

"We cannot risk Afghanistan becoming once more a platform for international Death Eaters to plan and organise attacks on our homelands," he said. "And we cannot let ISIS rebuild in Afghanistan the terror caliphate it lost in Syria and Iraq."

Stoltenberg bids to address NATO’s future presence in Afghanistan at their next Defense Ministers meeting in February, saying they will be "faced with a difficult choice" and the grinding of the peace processor may falter.

"Either stay — and pay the price of a continued military engagement," he said. "Or leave — and risk that the gains we have made are lost."

"We have to remember that we [NATO and US troops] went into Afghanistan together. And when the time is right, we should leave together, in a coordinated way," he concluded.

The remarks came at a time, US President Donald Trump has several times made tweet on troops withdrawal from Afghanistan by Christmas, but the announcements have been criticized by a number of critiques and US officials, including former military generals who have called it an attempt in favor of the Taliban

#5  ISIS in Afghanistan is already in conflict with the Taliban, Al Q and the Govt.

In fact, reports are that the US has used ISIS-Taliban conflicts to take airpower shots at ISIS troops.

We could keep an air and drone base in Tajikistan or Uzbekistan but otherwise leave. Let the jihadis fight each other for a few years.

Britain
Lockerbie Bomber Appeal Set to Start in Scotland
[AnNahar] A posthumous legal challenge to overturn the conviction of the Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Mohmet al-Megrahi is due to begin in Scotland on Tuesday.

Scotland's most senior judge, Lord Justice General Colin Sutherland, and four other judges at the country's highest criminal court will hear the case via video link.

The legal team for Megrahi's family will take part remotely from Glasgow. The case is due to last for three to four days with a ruling at a later date.

The family's lawyer, Aamer Anwar, said Megrahi's conviction has been described as "the worst miscarriage of justice in British legal history".

He added: "There can never be a time limit on justice. The families who support this appeal have never given up their search for the truth."

Megrahi was the only person convicted of bombing Pan Am Flight 103, which was blown up as it travelled from London to New York over the Scottish town of Lockerbie on December 21, 1988.

A total of 270 people from 21 countries were killed -- 243 passengers, 16 crew, and 11 people on the ground -- in what remains Britannia's biggest terrorist attack.

Three Scottish judges sitting at a special court sitting in the Netherlands jugged

the former Libyan intelligence officer for life in 2001, recommending he serve at least 27 years.

His first appeal was dismissed in 2002 but he was released in 2009 after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. He returned to Libya, where he died in Tripoli

three years later.

- SECRECY ORDER -
His family's appeal was referred to the High Court of Justiciary in Edinburgh by the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission (SCCRC) in March.

The SCCRC ruled a possible miscarriage of justice may have occurred on the grounds of an "unreasonable verdict" in that it could not be proved Megrahi bought the suitcase that contained the bomb.

It also highlighted "non-disclosure" of evidence to Megrahi's defence team.

It has been widely claimed that the bombing was ordered by Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. and carried out by a Syrian-based Paleostinian group, in retaliation for a US Navy strike on an Iranian Airbus six months earlier in which 290 people died.

Late last Friday, the High Court upheld a secrecy order signed by UK foreign secretary Dominic Raab to withhold intelligence documents related to the case.

Disclosure would cause "real harm" to UK international relations and national security with regard to counter-terrorism liaison and intelligence-gathering.

The documents are thought to allege a Jordanian intelligence agent within the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine-General Command (PFLP-GC) built the bomb.

The PFLP-GC has been designated a proscribed terrorist group by several countries, including Britannia and the United States.

Lawyers acting for the Megrahi family believe the documents are central to their appeal.

In August, Raab signed a public interest immunity certificate to keep the documents secret.

In 2008, then-foreign secretary David Miliband also refused to release the papers before Megrahi's second appeal, which was started in 2007 but abandoned after Megrahi's diagnosis.

Now we are driving into the liberated lands. The destination is the city of Aghdam. We have liberated the city of Aghdam and the occupied lands of Aghdam district without firing a single shot. We have defeated the enemy on the battlefield and forced them to withdraw from Aghdam district.

There is not a single safe building here. Everything is destroyed. They have destroyed our houses and villages, they exploited our lands. The enemy will be held accountable for all the war crimes. Turkish FM: 'Both friend and enemy saw that path to peace and stability passes through Turkey''
[APA.AZ] “November 9 night the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia declared ceasefire regime with a joint statement. You also saw, the statement was welcomed with enthusiasm by Azerbaijani people,” said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in his speech during the budget discussions at the parliament, APA’s Turkey bureau reports.

The minister noted that he individually witnessed this enthusiasm in Baku.

He stressed he supports the trilateral statement: “This statement once again confirmed that Azerbaijan is right and its territorial integrity. Second, Azerbaijan takes back its lands which were under occupation for about 30 years. It took back one part of its land with a counter-attack operation and takes back another part within the framework of the agreement. Third, our brothers who were forced to leave Azerbaijani lands which were under occupation can return to their homes. Fourth, relations between Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan will be established. On the basis of Azerbaijan’s demand, we will be at the negotiation table in order to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and agreement. A relevant decision has been adopted by our parliament for this purpose. On November 11, for his, we have signed a separate memorandum with Russia to establish a Joint Ceasefire monitoring center in accordance with Article 5 of the trilateral statement. We believe that the agreement will beneficial to the whole region and in this framework to Armenia in the medium and long term. We want everyone to benefit from peace and stability Our country has played a central role in ensuring such historical improvement in the 30-year conflict. Both friends and enemies have seen once again that no game can be established in the region without our participation, and that the path to peace and stability passes through Turkey. After this, we will continue to support the righteous battle of Azerbaijan."

Pakistan has vehemently denied recognizing Israel: Foreign Affairs Spokesperson
We’re IMPORTANT! Pay attention to USSSSSS!!
[DAILYTIMES.PK] Pakistain Foreign Affairs Spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry has said that Pakistain’s recognition of Israel is out of the question.

In a statement on Tuesday Spokesperson said that Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically rejected baseless speculation regarding possibility of recognition of the State of Israel by Pakistain.

The Spokesperson underlined that the Prime Minister’s statements in this context have been clear and unequivocal. The Prime Minister has made it clear that unless a just settlement of the Paleostine issue, satisfactory to the Paleostinian people, is found, Pakistain cannot recognize Israel.
