[KFOXtv] Immigration was a major focus of the 2016 presidential election.
It hasn't been a big part of the conversation this time around, due largely to the pandemic.
The migrant crisis from last year all but went away, due largely to the Trump Administration's controversial Remain in Mexico Policy. Asylum seekers are made to wait in Mexico while their case is processed. Then there were the changes made after the pandemic hit, that allowed border agents to deport people who crossed illegally in a matter of hours.
And then, there is the border wall. CBP Commissioner Mark Morgan said that 360 miles of border wall has been built under the Trump administration. More than 100 miles of that is in the El Paso sector. There has been new construction near downtown and all along the Border Highway, where the existing 18-foot fence is being replaced with 30-foot barriers.
Morgan said the agency is building about 10 miles of wall a week, and they are hoping to hit 450 miles by the end of the year.
As far as illegal border crossings are concerned, in 2019, the Border Patrol had almost a million encounters with migrants colonists crossing into the U.S. In fiscal year 2020, that number dropped to 458,000, a drop of more than 50 percent.
And there was a big change in demographics: When it came to family units being apprehended at the border, that number went from 530,000 last fiscal year, to less than 80,000 this fiscal year, that's a drop of 87 percent.
But Morgan says those drops are due largely to the Trump administration's policies at the border.
"If those initiatives and policies and tools are stopped or taken away, I'm telling you you're going to see a crisis that's going to make last year's crisis look like child's play. Because the economic drivers are going to push. The issue is how are we able to encounter them and deal with them. If you remove MPP, which is really what ended catch-and-release, we're going to be back to catch-and-release and that was one of the biggest pull factors. They knew once they made it to American soil they were going to be released to the United States," said Morgan.
The ACLU and Democratic politicians have said that MPP, the Remain in Mexico policy, is illegal and that it denies an asylum seeker's rights to seek asylum here while their case is being reviewed.
In fact, the Biden campaign has said that Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...Candidate for president in 2020. When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'... - if elected president - would undo Trump's policies and "reassert America's commitment to asylum seekers and refugees."
[Jpost] Egyptian intelligence officials are set to relay several messages from Israel to Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,, some of them related to a possible prisoner exchange and efforts by the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... -based group to acquire advanced types of weapons, London-based pan-Arab The New Arab media outlet reported Sunday.
Israel had delivered "security messages" to the Egyptians so that they could raise them with Hamas leaders, who headed to Cairo on Sunday, the report said, quoting unnamed Egyptian sources.
"The Israeli side informed Egypt of intelligence information regarding efforts by Hamas’s military wing, Izz al-Din [Izzadin] al-Qassam Brigades, to introduce advanced types of weapons to the Gaza Strip that would change the balance of power," it said.
Israel had informed the Egyptians that Hamas was trying to develop an air-defense system "that would change the situation in the next confrontations with Israel," the report said.
Hamas on Sunday said two of its bigwigs in the Gaza Strip, Khalil al-Hayya and Rouhi Mushtaha, headed to Cairo through the Rafah border crossing for talks with Egyptian officials on the situation in the Gaza Strip and on latest political developments in the region.
Two other Hamas leaders, Saleh Arouri and Izzat al-Risheq, were also scheduled to arrive in Cairo within hours to join the talks with Egyptian intelligence officials.
The talks would deal with efforts to resolve the ongoing dispute between Hamas and the Paleostinian ruling Fatah faction, Hamas said in a statement.
The Hamas leaders’ visit to Cairo is expected to ease tensions between the two sides, Paleostinian sources said. Relations between Hamas and Egypt have been strained because of Hamas’s close ties with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... , Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. Fawzi Barhoum, a Hamas spokesperson in the Gaza Strip, said the talks with the Egyptian officials would focus on ways of boosting bilateral relations and achieving Paleostinian "national unity." They also would deal with the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip," he said.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important... said that his country will not abandon the S-400 systems or their support for Azerbaijan despite the threats of the United States, stressing that "The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... is not a tribal country.""We took steps within the framework of the F-35 project, but you made threats to us. You asked us to return the S-400 to Russia. But we are not a tribal state," Erdogan said at a conference for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in the Malatya state on Sunday.
Erdogan responded to officials in Washington by stating, "You do not know with whom you are dealing with. Do not delay with your sanctions, whatever they are."
The United States had previously expressed its strong opposition to Turkey’s testing of the S-400 missile systems, considering that such operations contradict the Ottoman Turkish side’s obligations within the framework of NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all.... , and Washington threatened Ankara to take new measures against it after it had previously excluded it from the fighter project. F-35.
This comes in conjunction with voices in the United States calling for sanctions against Turkey for its support for Azerbaijan in the conflict in the Karabakh region with the Armenian forces.
Baku and Ankara deny that the Ottoman Turkish government provides any military support to Azerbaijan, and say the support is political only.

This Ergodan is committed to conquest. To divert attention away from his homeland problems he sticks his finger in the eyes of everybody. China is doing the same thing. The money will and has run out.

Easy to solve. ARCLIGHT Ankara. Tell the Turks if they don't behave, we'll do the same to Istanbul and rebuild Constantinople. Oh, and make absolutely sure Erdogan is in Ankara when the 20mt nuke goes off.
