[IsraelTimes] The US State Department is praising Serbia for its decision to designate the Iran-backed Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
The move "is another significant step limiting this Iranian backed terrorist group’s ability to operate in Europe. This important action was announced as part of the historic commitments President Trump secured on a wide range of economic normalization issues between Serbia and Kosovo, coupled with the steps both nations are taking to help achieve peace in the Middle East," US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says in a statement.
"There is no doubt that the dominoes are falling on Hizballah’s European operations, where it has continued to plot terrorist attacks, procure military technology, and raise much needed funding.
"The United States continues to call on the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... and European nations to designate or ban Hizballah in its entirety, and recognize the reality that it is a terrorist organization root and branch with no distinction between its so-called ’military’ and ’political’ wings. We urge all countries in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... and elsewhere to take whatever action they can to prevent Hizballah operatives, recruiters, and financiers from operating on their territories."
Earlier this month, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement saying that Israel will establish diplomatic relations with Serbia and Kosovo, and both will set up embassies in Jerusalem.
The arrangement was apparently a part of an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia brokered by the US administration. Serbia and Kosovo — regional rivals that don’t recognize each other — each signed separate agreements with the US regarding the normalization of economic relations between the two Balkan countries.

”O Iraqi government, let you and the Kurds fight.”
[Rudaw] The Turkmen Front has called on Mustafa al-Kadhimi, Iraq's prime minister and commander-in-chief of the armed forces, to increase Iraqi military presence in Kirkuk and put the brakes on the return of Peshmerga forces to the contested province.
A copy of a Turkmen Front statement, dated September 6 and sent to Rudaw's Kirkuk-based news hound Hiwa Hussameddin on Saturday, shows the party calling on Kadhimi "to send supporting military and security forces to impose security across the province."
"We feel there is a conspiracy against the people of the province [of Kirkuk] to take us back to the pre-October 16, 2017 events. Such violations will not affect the determination and will of the people of the province to give up their rights and allow the return of terror and liquidations once again," the statement added.

[IsraelTimes] The rial has seen its value fall by 30 percent since June amid severe US sanctions.
Iran’s currency on Saturday dropped to its lowest value ever against the dollar, and has seen its value fall by 30 percent since June amid severe US sanctions imposed on Tehran.
Money exchange shops traded the Iranian rial 262,000 for a dollar. The rial had traded at 256,000 to $1 on Thursday, and markets were closed Friday, the start of the weekend in Iran.
The rial has tumbled from a rate of 200,000 in late June. Iran’s currency was at 32,000 rials to the dollar at the time of Tehran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.
The currency unexpectedly rallied for some time after US President Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... ’s decision more than two years ago to withdraw the US from the nuclear deal and reimpose crippling trade sanctions on Iran.
The sanctions have caused Iran’s oil exports, the country’s main source of income, to fall sharply.
On Friday, the head of Iran’s central bank Abdolnasser Hemmati said the government was trying its best to control the situation in the currency market.
Iranian officials for months have warned exporters to bring their foreign earnings home from abroad or face having their export licenses revoked, and the central bank has warned it would publish the names of violators.
In June, the central bank reported that Iranian companies export more than $40 billion in non-oil products per year, and officials say some 50% of that remains abroad.

[IsraelTimes] Tehran announced resumption of enrichment at Fordo site last November in a further step away from 2015 nuclear accord abandoned by Washington in May 2018.
The head of Iran’s atomic agency said Sunday that 1,044 centrifuges were active at the Fordo uranium enrichment plant, in line with steps to reduce its commitments to the nuclear deal.
The suspension of all enrichment at the underground facility near the Shiite holy city of Qom was one of the restrictions on Iran’s nuclear activities that it accepted in return for the lifting of international sanctions in the 2015 accord.
Tehran first announced the resumption of enrichment at Fordo last November, the fourth phase of its push since May 2019 to progressively suspend commitments to the deal.
It was in retaliation for Washington’s abandonment of the accord in May 2018, followed by its unilateral reimposition of sanctions on Iran.
"Currently 1,044 centrifuges are enriching at Fordo," Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of Iran’s atomic agency, told the Iranian parliament’s news agency ICANA.
"We were committed in the JCPOA that these 1,044 machines do not carry out enrichment, but it is being done per dropped commitments as much as needed and we will stockpile the enriched material, too," he added, referring to the accord’s official name, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
Iran’s other walk-back steps included exceeding the accord’s restrictions on enriched uranium reserves and enrichment level, development of advanced centrifuges, and foregoing a limit on its number of centrifuges.
In a joint statement in November, Britannia, La Belle France, Germany and the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... said Iran’s decision to restart activities at Fordo was "inconsistent" with the 2015 deal.
The parties to the accord have called on Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... to return to its commitments, but Tehran insists the steps can be reversed once its economic benefits from the deal are realized.
The United Nations ...an idea whose time has gone... ’ nuclear watchdog said on September 4 that Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium now stands at more than 10 times the limit set down in the deal.
Tensions between Tehran and Washington have escalated since the US pulled out of the deal.

New images reveal evidence of an attack on a secretive missile facility in Syria. The photos, released by ImageSat International on Sunday, show that two structures at al-Safirah missile factory near Aleppo were hit. ISI assessed an intelligence report that this attack was "intended to weaken the missile production in Syria." It also says that this factory may have been producing missiles for Hezbollah. Crucial "elements" of the site were hit.

Missiles have warheads. That's the point. Solid fuel missiles are full of stuff that goes whoosh when under control and bang when not under control.
When a bunch of fertilizer can self-initiate and destroy a port, why can't an airstrike set off stuff just jonesing to explode? Not a big enough hole. here.
From which it can be deduced that these facilities were doing some kind of sub-component manufacturing.
Boring. Also, if you're going to expend resources, why not make the other guy expend his by having his stuff explode itself...with a little encouragement.

Stuff that goes boom can be easily replaced. The hard to replace, expensive equipment and engineers were likely what was there, not the stuff that goes boom.
