#1 Asians love to travel by train so when they land at DFW they can take the light rail from terminal c to almost any where in Dallas. Unfortunately the fare cops refuse to do their job for fear of catching Covid while checking passenger tickets so each train is loaded with non paying hobos sleeping on all the trains all day long. The fare checkers spend entire days sitting at Bachman Station train station since March.

#2 This assumes AA doesn't go under; they are in the worst financial shape of all the majors, and unless a bailout comes along, I don't see how they can survive. Not wishing that event, mind you, but that's how I see it.

#3 Then there's the 'fuel import' tax California imposes on aircraft that come from out of state; if you fly in to California with excess you have to have to pay state import fee, like you're a tanker truck. You're supposed to buy your JP from them.

#6 There is a huge international population in the DFW area. Many international corporations in Las Colinas which is just East of DFW airport.

#8 ..and when the Turks conquered Constantinople cutting the trade route to Asia, someone came up with an idea to head to Asia by going west.

#10 "Tax Avoidance", ehh? Preemptively fleeing California before the next set of confiscatory tax hikes?

#11 Tons of North American company HQ moving to Frisco TX just north of Dallas, with an 8 lane tollway straight to the airport. Named one of the best places to live in the US.

I prefer flying Southwest Airlines, so I fly to Love field. A lot nice and less crowded and hectic than DFW, and right there 5 minutes from Downtown Dallas.
