California hasn’t executed anyone in over 15 years and the appeals process for felony murder conviction is timed out to take over 20 years by anti death penalty specialist who make a career out of the game. Plus, death row has better cells with less crowding than general population lifers. So why give up trips to court and visiting lawyers to break up the monotony?
ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Hundreds of protesters chanted and marched to St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson's home Sunday night calling for her resignation. Husband and Wife Personal Injury Lawyers confront potential future clients? They must be nearing retirement.
The protesters, chanting "resign Lyda, take the cops with you," marched after Krewson read the names and addresses of demonstrators calling for police reform during a Friday afternoon Facebook Live video.
During the protest, a couple at a nearby home stepped outside with guns. Images and videos showed the woman pointing a handgun at the crowd. A man was seen holding a rifle.
The images and videos were shared thousands of times on social media Sunday night.
Protesters painted RESIGN on the street in front of Krewson's house Later in the night, protesters painted RESIGN on the street in front of the mayor's house.
So it turns out the gun-toting couple:
-Supports BLM -Are Democrats -Are representing a victim of police brutality.

Portland Place is a tony, upscale community. I can see where a couple might want to make a show of force and draw some boundaries if they feel their lives are threatened. Things can be a little dicey at this point.

Saw the inside of the mansion they are protecting, quite a lavish mansion. You can clearly see why they are zealous in protecting their property and have every right to do so. The fundamental basis of civilization is the right to property and the root motives of all socialism is the abolishment of that.
[NYPOST] A married Virginia couple was busted trying to flee the country after they illegally received nearly $1.5 million in federal funds meant for struggling businesses during the pandemic, prosecutors said.
Monica Magdalena Jaworska, 43, and her husband, Tarik Jaafar, 42, were arrested at JFK Airport in New York for the alleged scam earlier this month after buying one-way tickets to Poland, according to US Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Virginia.
Prosecutors allege the pair filed 18 different loan applications under the federal Paycheck Protection Program, using bogus IRS ...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies... forms to claim they were supporting dozens of employees.
They were ultimately approved for four loans totaling more than $1.4 million, prosecutors said.
But an investigation revealed the businesses didn’t really exist, according to an affidavit filed by the Small Business Administration.
The couple bought the plane tickets after officers contacted them for an interview, prosecutors said.
Most of the funds were frozen but prosecutors said Jaafar was able to withdraw at least $30,000 in cash.

[ABC7CHICAGO] For a second straight weekend, violence in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... has impacted the lives of dozens of people.
As of Sunday evening, 52 people have been shot this weekend. Four of those victims were minors, police said.
On Sunday, some business owners united to help catch those responsible.
The 1-year-old boy shot and killed while riding home from the laundromat with his mother has been identified as Sincere Gaston.
The shooting happened in the Englewood neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
"This is our community, and we refused to let crime take over the narrative of our community. I often say this: I am proud to be the daughter of Englewood because good is in Englewood and we are changing the narrative," said Alderman Stephanie Coleman, 16th Ward.
There is a growing reward for the arrest and conviction of the boy's killer. The newly formed reward group "I'm Telling, Don't Shoot" is putting up $25,000.
Among the victims was a 20-month-old baby, a 10-year-old girl, and a 17-year-old boy, who were fatally shot in separate instances in weekend violence.
"This is a group of business owners that are pretty much fed up as it relates to the gun violence in our communities," said Early Walker, a philanthropist and business owner.
"I want to urge anybody that know something, say something. This could be you," said Tiffany Henyard, a business owner.
Hours after the shooting of Gaston, a 10-year-old girl was shot and killed. Police said the child was hit in the head by a stray bullet that came through a window of her Logan Square apartment.

Fourteen people shot... I hope none of them were black because black lives matter, you know.

[NYPOST] Margot Robbie will star in a female-led version of "Pirates of the Caribbean" for Disney with "Birds of Prey" writer Christina Hodson on board to write the script.
Disney is in early development of the untitled project. The Robbie-Hodson collaboration is being developed separately from another "Pirates of the Caribbean" reboot that was unveiled in October with franchise veteran Ted Elliott and "Chernobyl" creator Craig Mazin hired to develop a story.
Jerry Bruckheimer, who produced all five "Pirates" movies, is attached to produce both the Elliot/Mazin and the Robbie/Hodson projects.
The previous "Pirates" movies, all starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, grossed $1.5 billion domestically and $3.07 billion internationally, with the North American market representing a progressively smaller share. The domestic total for 2017’s "Dead Men Tell No Tales" hit $172 million, while foreign markets delivered $622 million.

An all-female Pirates of the Caribbean remake could do well at the box office if there was sufficient T&A to overcome the drag of "all-female remake".

Florida records over 8,500 new coronavirus cases in a single day
[NYPOST] Florida continued to record high coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... numbers Sunday — adding more than 8,500 new cases to its statewide tally, according to a report.
The Sunshine State logged 8,530 new infections, bringing its total to 141,075 COVID-19 cases, NBC Miami reported.
Sunday’s tally comes just one day after the state set a daily record for new cases with 9,585 infections.
It marked the third day in a row that the state had seen more than 8,500 cases.
Over the past seven days, there have been a total of 43,784 new cases — which accounts for more than 30 percent of the state’s patients since the pandemic began, the outlet reported.

[GetZone] On April 26, 2019, a new bill in Indiana was a major reform of the previous firearm arm carry laws, Indiana HB 1284 became Public Law 107. Included in this reform is a free five-year permit for carrying handguns in Indiana, slated to go into effect on July 1st, 2020 while the other reforms went into effect immediately. They included:
A voter registration form from law enforcement offices was required to be given whenever a person applied for a license to carry a handgun.
Those who justifiably defended themselves from harm or threat with force, in certain cases, were given immunity from a civil lawsuit.
The restriction on carrying/possessing guns on school property was removed for those attending worship services/religious ceremonies on school property as an employee or volunteer of a house of worship that is located on school property.
Duration of all handgun carry licenses was changed to five years from the previous four.
The removal of the application fee will be starting July 1, 2020. If you are newly seeking a lifetime license the application fee is $50. If you currently hold a five-year license, the application fee for a lifetime license is $40:

Always liked this little Walther. Those who justifiably defended themselves from harm or threat with force, in certain cases, were given immunity from a civil lawsuit.
"Justifiably defended themselves" is a key phrase.
Lifetime carry permits are cost-effective for younger people. For older people, you are rolling the dice.

[AP] The Chinese government is taking draconian measures to slash birth rates among Uighurs and other minorities as part of a sweeping campaign to curb its Muslim population, even as it encourages some of the country’s Han majority to have more children.
While individual women have spoken out before about forced birth control, the practice is far more widespread and systematic than previously known, according to an AP investigation based on government statistics, state documents and interviews with 30 ex-detainees, family members and a former detention camp instructor. The campaign over the past four years in the far west region of Xinjiang is leading to what some experts are calling a form of "demographic genocide."
The state regularly subjects minority women to pregnancy checks, and forces intrauterine devices, sterilization and even abortion on hundreds of thousands, the interviews and data show. Even while the use of IUDs and sterilization has fallen nationwide, it is rising sharply in Xinjiang.
The population control measures are backed by mass detention both as a threat and as a punishment for failure to comply. Having too many children is a major reason people are sent to detention camps, the AP found, with the parents of three or more ripped away from their families unless they can pay huge fines. Police raid homes, terrifying parents as they search for hidden children.
After Gulnar Omirzakh, a Chinese-born Kazakh, had her third child, the government ordered her to get an IUD inserted. Two years later, in January 2018, four officials in military camouflage came knocking at her door anyway. They gave Omirzakh, the penniless wife of a detained vegetable trader, three days to pay a $2,685 fine for having more than two children.
If she didn’t, they warned, she would join her husband and a million other ethnic minorities locked up in internment camps ¬— often for having too many children.
"God bequeaths children on you. To prevent people from having children is wrong," said Omirzakh, who tears up even now thinking back to that day. "They want to destroy us as a people."
The result of the birth control campaign is a climate of terror around having children, as seen in interview after interview. Birth rates in the mostly Uighur regions of Hotan and Kashgar plunged by more than 60% from 2015 to 2018, the latest year available in government statistics. Across the Xinjiang region, birth rates continue to plummet, falling nearly 24% last year alone — compared to just 4.2% nationwide, statistics show.
[DAILYTIMES.PK] The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has miniaturized an electromagnetic railgun and developed pistol- and rifle-sized synchronous induction coilgun prototypes. These weapons’ technical capabilities were recently revealed to the general public for the first time in a demonstration session.
Developed by the PLA Army Logistics University, the weapons, named Small Synchronous Induction Coilguns, come with pistol-sized, rifle-sized and land robot-mounted variants, according to a report by Chinese military news website js7tv.cn last week.
The coilguns are essentially miniaturized, portable electromagnetic railguns so they can be used by single foot soldiers, the report said. To deal with complicated battlefield situations, they can also be mounted on small land robots and conduct armed reconnaissance missions.
According to the performance demonstration video, the coilguns use bullets stored in reloadable magazines just like a conventional gun, and they also handle like one. The coilguns can easily penetrate multiple wood plates and thin steel plates at a relatively close distance.
Unlike a conventional firearm that uses the ignition of gunpowder to push a bullet slug out of a gun barrel at high velocity, a coilgun or railgun uses electromagnetic force to accelerate a projectile as it travels along the gun barrel before leaving it at an even higher velocity, military observers said.
Judging from the video, the coilguns have shown a high penetration capability and did not make much sound, making them good choices for special operations like behind-enemy-line infiltration missions, a military expert who asked not to be identified told the Global Times on Sunday.
It is obvious that these weapons are still in the prototype stage, as their range and impact are not optimum, very likely due to the guns’ limited battery or capacitor capacity to store and release energy, the expert said. But once this technical problem is solved, the coilguns will become much more powerful and could replace the firearms of today.

[The Hill] Delta Air Lines reportedly plans to warn over 2,500 of its pilots that furloughs could be coming, as the airline company struggles to regain its footing amid the coronavirus pandemic.
While Delta and the labor union that represents the company's 14,000 pilots have reached an agreement for an early retirement package, airline officials signaled that it won't be enough to prevent additional furloughs from occurring.
"As we’ve communicated previously, early retirements alone likely won’t be enough to avoid pilot furloughs altogether," Delta’s senior vice president of flight operations John Laughter said in a memo obtained by CNBC on Friday.
He added: "With that in mind and given that we won’t know the results of the early-out for a few weeks, we must continue to move ahead to address pilot overstaffing. In an effort to best prepare our pilots, we will send notices to 2,558 pilots as required by the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act ["WARN Act"] next week to let them know of a possible furlough."
[NPR] The Eiffel Tower reopened to visitors Thursday morning after having been shut down for more than three months because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the Paris landmark's longest closure since World War II.
The reopening is a dramatic sign of people reclaiming public spaces in France following more than 100 days of restrictions. But the tower's highest point is still not open — and for now, visitors will need to take the stairs.
The stairs-only rule is one of several restrictions at the site, which draws millions of tourists during a normal year. Face masks are compulsory for all visitors over the age of 11, and physical distancing markers are in place.
To keep people from crossing paths on the stairs, visitors will ascend on the Eiffel Tower's east pillar and descend on the west pillar, according to the Eiffel Tower website.

Lesson to take take away from this: Women shouldn't dance in front of gay pedos in Pakistan. They will kick in your womanly chest area and then go home and brag about to their friends.

As I keep telling my 'Woke' acquaintances, women are little more than chattel in a mooselimb society. Of course the wailing and gnashing of teeth ensues because 'I'm so wrong'.
They ought to spend some time there.
And try dancing in public.

[AlAhram] Organizers of a Facebook Inc advertising boycott campaign that has drawn support from a rapidly expanding list of major companies are now preparing to take the battle global to increase pressure on the social media company to remove hate speech.
Since the campaign launched earlier this month, more than 160 companies, including Verizon Communications and Unilever Plc, have signed on to stop buying ads on the world’s largest social media platform for the month of July.
The "Stop Hate for Profit" campaign will begin calling on major companies in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... to join the boycott, Jim Steyer, chief executive of Common Sense Media, said in an interview with Rooters on Saturday.
