#2  The leading cause of death on California's death row is old age. Debating the death penalty for this old fart seems rather pointless.

#1  California hasn’t executed anyone in over 15 years and the appeals process for felony murder conviction is timed out to take over 20 years by anti death penalty specialist who make a career out of the game. Plus, death row has better cells with less crowding than general population lifers. So why give up trips to court and visiting lawyers to break up the monotony?
