ANDSF Repels Scores of Taliban Attacks in Past 24 Hours: MoD
[ToloNews] The Afghan Ministry of Defense on Monday said that Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF) repelled scores of attacks initiated by the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
in 15 provinces over the past 24 hours.

"Tens of Taliban attacks were repelled and shut-down--the Taliban suffered heavy setbacks," said Fawad Aman, deputy front man for the Ministry of Defense.

Kunar, Nuristan, Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
, Maidan Wardak, Paktia, Paktika
...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo...
, Pashtun-infested Logar, Kandahar, Badghis, Farah, Faryab, Balkh, Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
, Nimroz, Badakhshan, Baghlan, Takhar and Kunduz are among the provinces where ANDSF faced off with the Taliban and dealt major blows to the krazed killers, said the Defense Ministry.

Meanwhile,
...back at the dirigible, the gondola was dangling by a single thread of rope.

Jack! Cynthia cried. I just realized I'm afraid of heights! I don't even like high heels!...

Roland Kobia, the EU’s special envoy to Afghanistan has said that Ramadan must be the month of peace, not increased violence. He said that the killing and wounding of 66 civilians by the Taliban in the first week of Ramadan is a concerning issue.

Despite calls on the international level, the Taliban have increased attacks on Afghan forces. According to the Ministry of Interior, last night the Taliban launched a brazen attack on a checkpoint of government forces in the Noorak area of Zabul province, which resulted in the death of "18 Taliban fighters."

"Unfortunately, the Taliban have increased violence during the holy month of Ramadan, but whenever they tried to plot an attack, the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces dealt major blows to the group," said Tariq Aryan, a front man to the Ministry of Interior.

" (The Taliban) neither respect Ramadan nor the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
, while on the other side there is poverty," said MP Baktash Eshchi.

Senior official killed, many others wounded as explosions target power pylons in Afghanistan
[KhaamaPress] Another explosion targeted a power pylon in northern Parwan province of Afghanistan late on Tuesday night, killing a bigwig of the state-run utility firm dead.

Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) in a statement said the personnel of the firm were busy repairing a transmission tower when a kaboom went off, killing at least one and wounding many others.

The statement further added that the blast killed Murtaza Sarwari, the deputy commercial director of Parwan electricity directorate.

DABS had earlier announced that a kaboom targeted the vehicle of the firm in Golghondi area of Parwan province, which partially damaged the vehicle but did not inflict casualties on DABS personnel and engineers.

This comes as festivities damaged two more electricity transmission towers in northern parts of Afghanistan, days after the holy warriors destroyed two transmission towers in capital Kabul.

DABS in a statement said the 262 transmission tower was damaged due to festivities 72km away from Pul-e Khumri city, the bustling provincial capital of Baghlan.

The statement further added that another transmission tower, Tower#265, was destroyed in festivities 25.5 away from Pul-e Khumri city, cutting the supply of electricity supply from Tajikistan.
Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat said the technical workers of the firm brought changes in the system and connected the electricity supply network with supply source being imported from Uzbekistan.

Kenya demands answers over plane shot down in Somalia
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]
Kenya on Tuesday demanded answers from Somalia following the shooting down of its plane carrying humanitarian and medical supplies for use in the fight against coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
in the Horn of Africa country.

All six passengers onboard died on Monday in the South West town of Bardaale after the plane, about to land at the airport, was allegedly shot down by suspected al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
militia.

Kenya expressed its shock, saying that the plane was on a humanitarian mission surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Its Ministry of Foreign Affairs has asked Somalia to provide answers on the downed plane, which, it says, was brought down under mysterious circumstances.

"The Government of the Republic of Kenya urges the Federal Government of Somalia and International Agencies to thoroughly and swiftly investigate the matter because it impacts humanitarian operations at a time of highest need," a statement from the ministry read.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs working with other Agencies shall keenly monitor the investigation of this tragic incident and will collaborate with all to bring closure and resolution to the incident."

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Somali counterpart Mohammed Abdullahi Mohammed have agreed to conduct a joint probe into the circumstances surrounding the plane crash.

The plane with registration number 5Y-AXO was operated by African Express, a Somali-owned Kenyan airline.

#1  Madkhalism - Wikipedia
Madkhalism is a strain of Islamist thought within the larger Salafist movement based on the writings of Rabee al-Madkhali. Arab states have generally favored Madkhalism due to its support for secular forms of government as opposed to other strains of Salafism, and Madkhalism's decline in Saudi Arabia has been connected with a decline in support for secular forms of government in the Muslim world.

LNA Repels GNA Attack on Al-Watiya Airbase, 23 Dead
[LIBYAREVIEW] On Tuesday, the Libyan National Army (LNA) thwarted an attack by forces loyal to the Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
-based Government of National Accord (GNA) to capture al-Watiya airbase in western Libya.

"The enemy was completely defeated and (LNA) our forces prevented them from advancing towards the Aqriba area," said Major Osama Amsek, the Commander of the 134th Battalion currently in charge of al-Watiya airbase in a press statement.

Misleading reports circulating on local media claimed that forces loyal to the GNA had taken control of al-Watiya airbase after an operation that began at dawn on Tuesday. However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
the claims proved to be false.

Libya Review sources have confirmed that 23 GNA fighters died after festivities with the LNA.

This comes just a few hours after President Tayyip Erdogan of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
announced that forces loyal to the GNA were making significant territorial advances in western Libya.

Meanwhile,
...back at the laboratory the smoke and fumes had dispersed, to reveal an ominous sight...
the number of Ottoman Turkish-backed Syrians in Libya has reached 7,850 fighters, with approximately 3,000 others currently in Turkey to receive training prior to deployment to Libya.

Last month, forces loyal to the GNA attempted to launch an attack on Tarhuna, a major stronghold for the LNA in western Libya. Despite being backed by Ottoman Turkish aircraft and heavy artillery, the attack was thwarted by the LNA.

Herewith the contrary perspective referenced above. And to me the very long Libya Limp List, above, is additionally persuasive.
GNA forces said controlling Al-Watiya airbase will be in stages
[Libya Observer] The Libyan Army forces under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) have carried out a large-scale attack on al-Watiya airbase, which is the last stronghold of Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all. Actually, he is, but slowly...
's forces in the western region, and they are now positioned at the front gate as festivities are still ongoing.

Prior to this attack, GNA forces had been encircling the airbase since April 13, when they recaptured seven towns and cities in western Libya from Haftar's forces.

The attack started before Tuesday with heavy artillery shelling and Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s, while on Tuesday dawn, at least 500 military vehicles headed to al-Watiya airbase to drive Haftar's forces out.

A source from GNA forces said controlling al-Watiya airbase will be in stages and Tuesday had been stage number one, adding that they had destroyed military vehicles for Haftar's forces and seized others.

Meanwhile,
...back at the alley, Slats Chumbaloni was staring into a hole that was just .45 inch in diameter and was less than three feet from his heavily sweating face ...
social media pages close to Libyan Army forces said about 12 fighters had been killed in Tuesday attack on al-Watiya airbase, while Haftar's forces suffered the killing of the bully boy Salafist commander of al-Watiya airbase Osama Emsaik along with his assistants Muhannad Grerah and Ayman al-Tumi as well as other fighters.

ICE detainees refuse coronavirus tests, rush officers and trash detention center instead
  • [BIZPACREVIEW] A situation turned violent when about 10 inmates at an immigration detention center were told they would be transferred to a medical wing for coronavirus testing.

  • The inmates refused the tests, barricaded themselves inside a wing of the building, destroyed property inside the building and violently clashed with law enforcement officers, authorities said.

  • The inmates were eventually subdued, and the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office said they have been placed in individual cells until disciplinary action is taken.

IDF hits targets in Gaza Strip after rocket fired into Israeli territory
[Jpost] The rocket fired from Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
was the first in about 40 days.

The IDF confirmed on Tuesday night that IDF tanks struck three sites belonging to Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, in the northern Gaza Strip, after a rocket was launched from Gaza towards southern Israel earlier in the night.

One rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip towards southern Israel on Tuesday night triggering a red alert in an open area, according to an IDF spokesperson.

No injuries or damages were reported.

The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Wednesday morning that one of its members from Gaza City had died after a terror tunnel he was working in collapsed. It is unclear if his death had any connection with the rocket fire or the IDF's response on Tuesday night.

The rocket fire was the first in about 40 days. The last rocket fire from the Gaza Strip was reported at the end of March, when one rocket was fired from Gaza and fell in an open area in southern Israel. The IDF responded to the rocket fire in March by attacking "military positions and infrastructure used for underground activity by Hamas in the northern Gaza Strip," according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

Earlier on Tuesday evening, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
, announced new details concerning the Badr 3 rocket in a video, according to the Paleostinian Sawa news, including information on its use in past festivities and on further development of the rocket that has made it more destructive and given it a further range.

Egypt says it destroyed more than 3,000 Gaza tunnels
[JPost] Egypt has destroyed more than 3,000 tunnels along its border with the Gaza Strip in the past five years, Egyptian Army Spokesperson Tamer Al-Refai has revealed.

In an interview with the private Egyptian news channel Extra News on Sunday night, he said: "In 2015, the [Egyptian] government took a decision to establish a buffer zone along the border [with the Gaza Strip]. These tunnels were used to threaten Egypt's national security, including the infiltration of terrorists, smuggling of weapons, ammunition, goods, narcotic drugs and vehicles. We established the buffer zone in stages because residents had to be relocated. They have received compensation."

Some of the destroyed tunnels were three kilometers long and 30 meters deep, Refai said.

The Egyptian security forces were continuing their "heroic actions to defeat terrorists" in the Sinai Peninsula, he said, adding that 126 terrorists were killed during the recent military operation there.

During the operation, Egyptian security forces seized different types of weapons and explosive belts, Refai said, adding: "We destroyed 630 explosive devices."

The Egyptian Air Force targeted and destroyed 228 hideouts and shelters used by terrorists, he said. In addition, 116 four-wheel-drive vehicles were destroyed and 266 suspects were arrested.

"The [Egyptian] armed forces are working around the clock to combat terrorism and secure our borders," Refai said. "We have scored many achievements on the ground, including the destruction of the terrorist infrastructure."
