Knowing is extra credit. ;-) Could it be, like some images in articles, that just opening it in the Edit window, even without changing anything, was enough to fix the problem?
Happy Ramadan!
[ToloNews] At least five security force members were killed and five others were maimed in a car kaboom in Nahr-e-Siraj district, Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... province, on Sunday evening, the provincial governor’s front man Omar Zwak said.
He said the attack targeted a base of the Afghan National Army and the National Directorate of Security ...the Afghan national intel agency... personnel in Nahr-e-Siraj district.
A security source said the base has been destroyed "completely" and that 18 security force members have been killed in the attack.
The Taliban ...Arabic for students... has grabbed credit for the attack.
[ToloNews] The Afghan Ministry of Defense on Monday said that Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF) repelled scores of attacks initiated by the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... in 15 provinces over the past 24 hours.
"Tens of Taliban attacks were repelled and shut-down--the Taliban suffered heavy setbacks," said Fawad Aman, deputy front man for the Ministry of Defense.
Kunar, Nuristan, Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. , Maidan Wardak, Paktia, Paktika ...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo... , Pashtun-infested Logar, Kandahar, Badghis, Farah, Faryab, Balkh, Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... , Nimroz, Badakhshan, Baghlan, Takhar and Kunduz are among the provinces where ANDSF faced off with the Taliban and dealt major blows to the bully boys, said the Defense Ministry.
Meanwhile, ...back at the wreckage, Captain Poindexter wished he had a cup of coffee. Even instant would do... Roland Kobia, the EU’s special envoy to Afghanistan has said that Ramadan must be the month of peace, not increased violence.
He said that the killing and wounding of 66 civilians by the Taliban in the first week of Ramadan is a concerning issue.
Despite calls on the international level, the Taliban have increased attacks on Afghan forces.
According to the Ministry of Interior, last night the Taliban launched a brazen attack on a checkpoint of government forces in the Noorak area of Zabul province, which resulted in the death of "18 Taliban fighters."
"Unfortunately, the Taliban have increased violence during the holy month of Ramadan, but whenever they tried to plot an attack, the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces dealt major blows to the group," said Tariq Aryan, a front man to the Ministry of Interior.
" (The Taliban) neither respect Ramadan nor the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... , while on the other side there is poverty," said MP Baktash Eshchi.
"The Taliban and the government should address the voice of the people for a ceasefire so that there is an end to the killings," said MP Nazeefa Yousufi.
Despite hopes among Afghans that the peace deal between the US and the Taliban will lead to a reduction in the level of violence, nothing changed on the ground.
"Ceasefire is a fundamental issue, it is also an important demand of the Afghan people and the international community, the Taliban must surrender to this demand," said Sediq Sediqqi, a front man to President Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... The Taliban previously rejected the Afghan government’s call for a ceasefire, citing violations in the peace agreement that the group signed with the US on February 29 in Doha.

The 201st Silab Corps in a statement said the Taliban commander, Mullah Jan, was attempting to launch mortar rounds on a security forces camp in Ozbin Valley of Sarobi district. Now "Mat" However, there's more than one way to stuff a chicken... the mortar round went off prematurely leaving three Talibs maimed including Mullah Jan who lost both his legs, the statement added.
The Taliban group has not commented regarding the incident so far.
Meanwhile, ...back at the alley, Bugs Moroni was holding Slats from behind while his brother Greasy Thumb was pounding his face into paste ... the 201st Silab Corps said the Talibs opened fire on security posts in Islamabad area of Alisheng district of Laghman ...Afghan province with a population of about 445,600, which is multi-ethnic and mostly a rural society. During the invasions of Alexander the Great, the area was known as Lampaka, wich is apparently Olde Macedonian for Laghman. The city of Mihtarlam serves as the bucolic capital of the province. The population is half Pashtun, the remainder Tadjik and Pashai. It had a repution for great wealth until it was conquered in the tenth century by Abu Mansur Sabuktigin.
He conquered it and set fire to the places in its vicinity which were inhabited by infidels, and demolishing the idol-temples, he established Islam in them, He marched and captured other cities and killed the polluted wretches, destroying the idolatrous and gratifying the Musulmans. After wounding and killing beyond all measure, his hands and those of his friends became cold in counting the value of the plundered property.
After that it was mostly notable for the production of dirt, rocks, and holy men... According to Silab Corps, one of the bullets impacted a civilian house, leaving a civilian dead.
[KhaamaPress] The Afghan forces arrested two Pak nationals who were fighting in the ranks of ISIS terrorist group in Afghanistan, the Afghan military said.
According to a statement released by 201st Silab Corps, the Afghan Special Forces ...established in 2007 with the intent of taking one conventional infantry kandak (battalion) from each of the regional ANA corps, giving them special training and equipment, and reorganizing based on the U.S. Army Rangers. [Sudan Tribune] Sudan’s Islamist supporters of the former regime Sunday failed to mobilize for protests against the government of Abdallah Hamdok.
Despite the government ban of gathering and protests due to the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... pandemic, the supporters of the former regime say they successfully organized protests in 11 states across the country.
However, today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday... only some dozens took part in these demonstrations held this time with slogans against the new UN mission in Sudan.
"Nor for foreign intervention in Sudan" or "No to the government of traitors and agents" were the slogans chanted by the protesters.
During the previous weeks, they chanted against the deteriorating living conditions but this week they sought to cope with the main issue of debate in the country after the UN Security Council meeting on UNAMID exit and the new peace support mission.
Activists circulated on the social media a video showing a woman debating with an Islamist who set fire to a number of tires and started chanting anti-government slogans in Khartoum central market.
Her heated discussion with him, draw the attention of people who extinguished the burning tires and forced him to leave the market.
Several newspapers in Khartoum said they would not cover the protests pointing to the very weak mobilization.
The Sudanese government on Saturday warned against the protests saying that "all security and law enforcement agencies have been instructed to deal strictly and decisively with everyone violating health emergency measures.

[ALMARSAD.CO] Major General al-Mabrouk al-Ghazwi said in a special statement to Al Marsad that Ottoman TurkishArclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s mistakenly targeted 7 fuel tanks (diesel, gasoline, and kerosene) owned by smugglers after they exited al-Zawiya Refinery passing through al-Jabal al-Gharbi to Daraj-Qurrayat road. "As stated by the Libyan Oil Corporation, smugglers control the refinery under the pretext of protecting it," said al-Ghazwi.
He added that the Ottoman Turkish drones targeted the tanks on a dirt road used by smugglers in a remote desert area west of Qurayyat, indicating that the preliminary data showed they were heading to join smugglers in the south and not to Tarhouna.
"The Ottoman Turkish bombing of the smugglers’ trucks working under the name of Fayez al-Sarraj militias by mistake, in addition to the previous bombing of egg and water tanks, testifies to the randomness of their work and their inability to distinguish between their friends and enemies on the ground or the military and the civilian. This is clear evidence of the control b the Turks of the Operation Room where they select the targets. Otherwise, their Libyan agents would have informed them that the trucks were friendly and were heading to their smuggler revolutionaries and are not hostile"
Al-Ghazwi pointed out that the smuggling gangs, especially in al-Zawiya, are completely affiliated with the Government of National Accord (GNA) and are working closely through their militias which helped the GNA regain control of Sabratha and Surman with the full support of the Ottoman Turkish air force, which is still supporting them in the vicinity of al-Watiyah Airbase. "These smugglers criminals include al-Qasab, Bija, and others," said the Commander of the Western Region Operations Group.

In Mid-February 2020: The Libya National Oil Corp. announced that production of crude fell to 183 thousand and 265 barrels per day by February 11. Libya production has declined sharply since January 18 due to the closure of ports and fields by groups loyal to General Khalifa Haftar. Total losses resulting from the closure amounted to more than $ 1.3 billion. It renewed calls to end “irresponsible and illegal closings of its facilities" and the need to resume production immediately.” The Central Bank of Libya in Tripoli announced that oil revenues during the past January were zero; it called for a concerted efforts to return oil production/export at once.

Africa Intelligence added that the surveillance of ships should be done by Operation IRINI, which didn't get the needed resources to start work.
EU's High Representative Josep Borrell hinted last month that IRINI was a failure as it didn't have the needed capabilities to kick off work despite being launched early in the same month in an attempt to monitor the implementation of arms embargo in Libya, yet it came under fire by Libyan officials of the Government of National Accord as it didn't include monitoring the eastern region's borders, from which arms are being provided to Haftar's forces.
The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez al-Sarraj rejected Operation IRINI on April 23 in a letter to the Security Council and European Parliament.

Defense Ministry Spokesman John Enenche told news hounds the bad boyz were potted in Operation Kantana Jimlan, which was launched on May 1 in the country’s northeast.
He said 78 of the faceless myrmidons were members of ISWAP and 56 were members of Boko Haram.
Enenche said Nigerian troops also arrested 16 informants of the terrorists, adding the country aims to eradicate both terror organizations from Nigerian territory.
He noted that the operation had left the criminal elements and their leadership in complete disarray.
Lots of ammunition belonging to the terrorist organizations were also seized during the operation, he added.

[Rudaw] Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) holy warriors conducted multiple attacks on several locations in Iraq late Sunday, according to the Popular Mobilization Forces’ (PMF) media department.
The PMF, also known as Hashd al-Shaabi in Arabic, claims that ISIS holy warriors attacked Hashd al-Shaabi units in eastern Saladin province, as well as in the town of Jurf al-Nasr, southwest of Baghdad, separately late Sunday.
Jurf al-Nasr, formerly known as Jurf al-Sakhir, is a town in the province of Babil, sixty kilometers southwest of Baghdad.
"ISIS holy warriors were attempting to enter Babil province through Jurf al-Nasr. However, man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them... their attack was foiled by the Hashd al-Shaabi units," tweeted the PMF, a predominantly Shiite paramilitary network, late Sunday.
In another tweet, Hashd al-Shaabi claimed that their units "repelled" an attack by ISIS holy warriors in eastern Saladin province late Sunday.
ISIS hard boy activities have increased in recent weeks, with holy warriors killing three federal coppers and wounding two others in an attack on Zaghniya cop shoppe in Diyala province on late Saturday.
ISIS holy warriors also carried out multiple attacks against Iraqi security forces early Saturday in Saladin province, killing ten members of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), also known as Hashd al-Shaabi. It was ISIS’s biggest attack in Iraq since its territorial defeat.

[Rudaw] The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have regained control of a prison holding ISIS holy warriors in Hasaka after fresh riots were launched this weekend. Burn it to the ground. Don't let anyone out
ISIS detainees at Sanaa prison, in Hasaka’s Geweran neighbourhood reportedly began rioting on Saturday.
The SDF- who run the prison- said on Sunday evening that they are in full control of the facility following "negotiations" between the SDF and coalition forces on one hand, and prisoners on the other.
"Yesterday evening, inside one of the largest prisons in which ISIS holy warriors are staying in al-Hasakeh province, the ISIS detainees held a large-scale riot operation," SDF spokesperson Kino Gabriel said in Sunday statement.
"The ISIS detainees completely took control of the prison inside after they removed the doors of the dormitories and corridors, which required the intervention of special forces and counter terrorism forces to stop them," Gabriel said.
The US-led coalition provided support to the SDF, Gabriel added.
"The illegal coalition aircraft are flying over the area where the prison is located in conjunction with continued insubordination," Syrian state media outlet SANA reported on Sunday evening.
The prison has seen several disturbances in recent months, with two riots taking place in March.
Somewhere between 3,000-5000 prisoners from around 50 nationalities are held in the prison, most of whom were detained by Kurdish and coalition forces in the last ISIS stronghold of Baghouz in March 2019.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed the incident, reporting that coalition jets "fired flares" over the facility.
There are currently more than 10,000 suspected ISIS members held in SDF prisons.

What a fucking joke. If thousands of daesh bastards are conveniently placed in prisons, why not just incinerate them all with flame throwers and incendiaries ?

I think it's because a muslim can never bring himself to killing the ISIS. In their own minds they believe themselves gone astray for modern conveniences, while the holy boys of the caliphate are actually the true believers. Maybe they only guiltily hold them prisoner, tolerating their outrages. It's probably why parents and guardians, seeing the first signs of radicalization do not stop their wards. They can't. They're just too chicken to fight themselves, and the least they can do is step out of the way. The ISIS is the truest representation of islam, as it was supposed to be.

Meanwhile, ...back at the cheese factory, all the pieces finally fell together in Fluffy's mind... opposition factions have managed to repel the attempt of regime forces, with an exchange of mortar shelling targeting the control areas.
Apart from that, tense calm continues in the "Putin-Erdogan" area on the 60th consecutive day of the new ceasefire.
Reliable sources reported earlier that opposition factions operating in Sahl al-Ghab shot down an armed drone affiliated to regime forces, after targeting it with anti-tank rockets in north-western Hama.
On the other hand, violations of the new ceasefire of the "de-escalation zone" continue, as regime forces have renewed shelling villages and towns in Sahl al-Ghab.
