Journalists Brutalised, Their Gadgets Confiscated In Mogadishu
Just yesterday they were gonna legalize journalism.
[RADIOSHABELLE] The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) condemns the brutal methods by officials of Mogadishu Municipality against two journalists, and calls on the authorities to ensure that this violence does not go unpunished.

Safia Osman Abdulle, news hound for TV and Radio of Shabelle Media Network and Abdulkadir Ga’al, Cameraman for Shabelle TV, were aggressively attacked in this morning by officials of Mogadishu’s Waberi district. Safia Abdulle was attacked with stone by a Department Director of Waberi District, causing serious head wound. Other Waberi district officials similarly started beating up Cameraman Abdulkadir Ga’al and confiscated the video camera, voice recorders and mobile phones.

The two journalists had gone to cover women protesting against the Waberi District Commissioner for lack of payment of their salaries and allowances while the local officials did not want the journalists to cover the protest. Safia Osman Abdulle was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

"We denounce this broad daylight brutality and call on the Mayor and Governor of Mogadishu as well as law enforcement authorities to swiftly intervene and take appropriate actions against the individuals implicated in these acts" said Omar Faruk Osman, NUSOJ Secretary General. "If the authorities do not act on this, we will make sure that justice is served to the affected journalists".

Brigadier Okasha: Turkish Experts at Mitiga Airport and Tunisian Border Operate Turkish Drones in Libya
[ALMARSAD.CO] Brigadier Khaled Okasha, in a statement to the London-based Asharq al-Awsat newspaper on Monday, indicated that only The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
can possess such types of weapons as they purchase them for the Ottoman Turkish army, if not manufactured locally, and then hand them over to the armed or mercenary militias brought in from the battlefields in Syria.

Okasha attributed the qualitative improvement of the GNA forces over recent weeks reflected in regaining control of several cities on the western coast, and even moving towards Tarhouna, to these Ottoman Turkish advanced weapons and drones.

He added: "Ottoman Turkish drones are multi-tasking and have various features, including reconnaissance, photographing, throwing projectiles, and carrying missiles, thus exploding on impact. Ottoman Turkish experts located in the two main operations rooms at Mitiga Airport and near the Tunisian borders are operating them."

Kufra Municipality: GNA Promoted a Statement Issued by a Tebu Linked to Chadian Terrorist Groups and Boko Haram
[ALMARSAD.CO] Mayor Muftah Abu Khalil, in exclusive statements to the Russian Sputnik News Agency on Monday, affirmed that the South remains committed to the Libyan army, explaining that the statement issued and pretending to be from Murzuq was actually issued by a member of the Tebu
... the Toubou or Tubu (from Old Tebu, meaning "rock people") are an ethnic group inhabiting northern Chad, southern Libya, northeastern Niger and northwestern Sudan. They live either as nomadic herders or as farmers near oases.Their society is clan-based, with each clan having certain oases, pastures and wells...
who was linked to Chadian terrorist groups and Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
in Nigeria.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Kufra stressed that the military, tribal, and civilian leaders in Libya have had principled positions towards the armed forces and the HoR and have nothing to do with the statement issued by a mere individual and which was promoted falsely by the GNA as if issued by the entire city of Murzuq.

Pakistan refutes India's 'baseless, fallacious' claim on Gilgit-Baltistan: FO
[The News (Pak)] Pakistain on Monday refuted India's "baseless and fallacious" claim about Gilgit-Baltistan, the Foreign Office said in a statement after summoning a senior Indian diplomat.

In its statement, the Foreign Office said Pakistain "clearly conveyed that the Indian claim over the occupied state of Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
as an 'integral part' of India had no legal basis whatsoever".

"The entire state of Jammu and Kashmir is a 'disputed' territory and is recognized as such by the international community," it added, noting that the dispute originated from India's "forcible and illegal occupation" of Kashmir in 1947 and that that was a violation of both the international law and the Kashmiri people's rights.

The Kashmir dispute, the FO added, is "the longest outstanding item on the agenda of the UNSC".

"No subsequent illegal and unilateral Indian actions could or have altered the status of Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory," the statement highlighted, noting that only the "faithful implementation" of the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
Security Council's (UNSC) resolutions was the solution.

The UNSC resolutions "recognize the Kashmiris’ inalienable right to self-determination through the democratic method of free and impartial plebiscite under the UN auspices", the FO said.

"Pending the resolution of the dispute, any unilateral Indian actions in IOJ&K were illegal."

In addition, India's unilateral move on August 5, 2019, to scrap Kashmir's special status under the constitution was "in violation of the 4th Geneva Convention, were illegal and in clear violation of the UNSC Resolutions".

Pak rejects India's infiltration charges
[The News (Pak)] Rejecting Indian claims of infiltration across the Line of Control into the Indian Occupied Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
from Azad Jammu Kashmir, Director General Inter Services Public Relations Major General Babar Iftikhar said on Monday that Pakistain was ready for any inspection by the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
observers.

Speaking to a private news channel, the Pakistain Army front man pointed out that such accusations were merely a futile attempt by the Indian military and politicianship to externalize the internal situation in the IOK and India. "Nobody needs to infiltrate into India as their government had created an internal situation in Occupied Kashmir itself that has engulfed the whole country," General Iftikhar said.

He said the UN observers could undertake an inspection exercise any time inAzad Jammu Kashmir if they felt like verifying the ’false’ claims by India alluding to the alleged launch pads of the alleged infiltrators and the supposed infiltration from the AJK into the IOK.

Questioning the veracity of the claims, the DG challenged India to furnish evidence to support the allegations and suggested such rhetoric by India must come to an end now. He said any attempt at infiltration was not possible due to the robust and effective monitoring mechanisms employed by the UN Observes and the constant satellite supervision in place by India and the three-tiered fencing apparatus along the LOC.

#1  The Pak ISI indulged in another of their nomenclature change word games, by creating a new organization from ex HM and LeT cadres. They call themselves The Resistance Front, to give the impression to the FATF and America that the ISI is not involved and it's a purely Kashmiri militia. It isn't. They're all pakis, infiltrating with help from traitors this side of the border. They also claim they're not religious, but fighting 'Indian fascism'.

Some bright spark in Islamabad probably thought up the idea that calling it a 'Resistance' would dredge up some memory in the western mind and gain collective sympathy. The bastards forgot to give them weapons and radios not commonly available only in Pakistain though.

#2  I think calling them "the Resistance" brings to mind Hezbollah more than Frenchies fighting the Nazis.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Economy | Syrian pound plummets following regime and Rami Makhlouf rift
[SYRIAHR] The Syrian pound nose-dived against foreign currency in the black market, at a time when the rift is being stepped up between the Syrian regime and the businessman "Rami Makhlouf", over taxes and fines owed by Makhlouf’s companies.

The exchange rate of the Syrian pound has declined greatly recording 1,340 SYL against the US dollar, while the exchange rate of a Euro has jumped to 1,476 SYL.

SOHR sources reported earlier this morning that the campaign of arrests which targete managers and technicians of Rami Makhlouf’s telecom company "Syriatel" has not only confined in Damascus and Latakia, but it also expanded to Aleppo and Tartus. Regime security services and Russian forces arrested seven managers and technicians in the past few hours (four in Aleppo and three in Tartus).

Meanwhile,
...back at the cheese factory, all the pieces finally fell together in Fluffy's mind...
regime intelligence services and Russian police launched a new campaign of arrests, targeting managers and employees in "Al-Bostan Association" also owned by Rami Makhlouf, the cousin of Syrian regime president Bashir al-Assad. These development came as a part of Russian attempts to undermine Rami Makhlouf.

On the other hand, SOHR confirmed that reports circulated about arresting Rami Makhlouf and his brother by regime intelligence and the Russians were completely false.

Iran Threatens Germany with ‘Consequences' for Banning Hezbollah
♪ Making friends ♫
[LI] The Iranian regime has threatened Germany with "negative consequences" after Berlin banned Shia Islamic terrorist group Hezbollah from operating on its soil. German police raided several Hezbollah-linked mosques across the country and moved to freeze funds of the Iranian-sponsored terrorist outfit.

Angered by Germany’s anti-terrorism operation against Hezbollah, Tehran issued a thinly-veiled threat on Saturday. "The German government must face the negative consequences of its decision in the fight against real terrorist groups in the region," the Iranian Foreign Ministry warned.

While Hezbollah has been banned by the United States, Britain, and Israel. Germany, along with France and other European countries, had allowed the terrorist group to operate under the garb of its ’political’ wing. According to the German domestic intelligence agency (BfV), more than one thousand Hezbollah operatives are currently active in the country, often using German mosques to recruit and raise funds.

German weekly Der Spiegel reported Tehran’s threats on Friday:

Iran has responded to the ban on Hezbollah activities by [German] Interior Minister Horst Seehofer. The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the ban in "sharpest terms." This [ban] displays a "complete disrespect towards the government and the people of Lebanon," it claimed. [...]

The regime in Tehran warned the [German] government of consequences. Hezbollah is closely linked to the Iranian leadership. "The German government must face the negative consequences of its decision in the fight against real terrorist groups in the region," Iranian Foreign Ministry declared. The ban disregards the "realities in West Asia" and is based solely on goals of the "propaganda machine of the Zionists and America’s confused regime," [Iran claimed].

ISIS extremists step up as Iraq, Syria, grapple with virus
[Rudaw] The man wearing an explosive vest emerged from a car and calmly marched toward the gates of the intelligence building in Iraq’s northern city of Kirkuk. When he ignored their shouts to halt, guards opened fire, and he went kaboom!, wounding three security personnel in the first week of Ramadan.

Days later, a three-pronged coordinated attack killed 10 Iraqi militia fighters in the northern province of Salahaddin — the deadliest and most complex operation in many months.

The assaults are the latest in a resurgence of attacks by the Islamic State
