President-elect has vowed to undo many of his executive actions
A senior policy advisor says Obama will not use his pardon authority because it does not 'confer legal status'
Said a pardon won't protect 'a single soul' from deportation

...but it would start a cascade of mass pardons by who ever holds the executive. You could follow with a pardon for anyone not paying their Obamacare 5k tax. Let the list of mass pardons begin!

I love how P2K thinks! Mass pardon of crime of not having insurance per Obamacare! Mass pardon for transgender "prejudice" and "bias"!
The point is that the pardon can only pardon PAST crimes, so Trump give them all 30 days to self-deport or they are guilty of a new crime that could not have been covered by the previous pardon.
[Iran Press TV] Green Party candidate Jill Stein is set to hold a rally along with her supporters in front of the Trump Tower in New York on Monday.
Stein, who has initiated the process of vote recounts in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania following the 2016 presidential election, made the announcement on Saturday.
GOP nominee Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... won presidency on November 8 by flipping the three traditionally blue states, triggering calls for a recount pursued not by Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton ... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, sometimes described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as a crook... but by Stein.
Trump has vowed to block the efforts by having his lawyer file lawsuits against the move.
"We won’t stand down as Donald Trump and his allies seek to frivolously obstruct the legal processes set up to ensure we have a voting system we can trust and that all votes have been counted," Stein said in a statement.
On her website, Stein is asking Americans for donations to pay for the cost of recount in the states.

2-3 show up with more security that demonstrators.
HARRISBURG, Pa -- (WHTM) According to legal documents, Jill Stein and her campaign failed to post the $1 million bond needed to challenge the election in Pennsylvania. The court proceeding scheduled for Monday has been canceled.
A "praecipe to discontinue and withdraw" was filed citing that Jill Stein did not post the $1 million needed in the matter of the 2016 presidential election. A source close to the matter told ABC27’s Dennis Owens that Monday’s scheduled court proceeding has been canceled and the challenge is over.

The Wisconsin re-count is going swimmingly for US. Trump is gaining on the popular vote there. I just wish Stein would drain her bank account more on this re-count. Now she wants an obama judge with an obama phone to do re-count their way.
[THECONSERVATIVETREEHOUSE] Oh, the good news just keeps on coming. We are one step closer to actually seeing Keith Ellison as the Chairman of the DNC. We should do everything possible to ensure his success in this quest.
Washington (Via CNN) ‐ Howard Dean Former Dem governor of Vermont or Rhode Island or one of those dinky states. Howard lost his bid to be president by shrieking and screaming and acting like a loon. Then they made him chairman of the Dem national campaign committee, where he continued doing the same things only nobody paid any attention.... has dropped his bid for a second stint chairing the Democratic National Committee, citing "other priorities" and a "possibly divisive race. ...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled... "I’m not going to be a candidate for the DNC chairmanship," the former Vermont governor and 2004 presidential candidate said at the start of an Association of State Democratic Chairs forum in Denver. "I think it could possibly be divisive. I have other priorities. I have a grandchild now. But I am fully dedicated to using as much time as I can to support whoever the chairman is."
A leading contender for the spot is Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota.

The Democratic party capitulated to Islam when Osama attacked the U.S.. If Ellison gets the leadership role, the Democratic party will build on the already active militant arm of Islam within the United States.
This is pretty much treason from a traditional sense.

The Democratic party capitulated to Islam when Osama attacked the U.S. they decided a cushy lifestyle paid for with Saudi money was more important than the businesses, liberties, and lives of their neighbors.
FIFY.

I have always believed supporting a democrat was tantamount to treason. But that's just me.
Nope. Not just you Beso. Change "always" to since 1977 I'm right there with you.

Hollywood and legal elites who are a core of the financial base of the democrat party will find this man unappealing. They are literally prisoners of their own correctness and cannot stop the slide into a dumb choice.
[LI] As Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Lindsey Graham (R[?]-SC) rush to make Obama’s Dreamer executive order (EO) law, cat fights are erupting on Twitter regarding immigration and Trump’s intentions in this regard. Graham out of the closet again.
In 2010, the DREAM Act failed in the Senate, so Obama picked up his pen and his phone and, by EO, made it happen. Now, Republicans are working again with Democrats to revive the failed bill . . . they hope before Obama leaves office, though this is highly unlikely.
Democratic and Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are working on legislation that would limit deportations if President-elect Donald Trump repeals President Obama’s executive orders on illegal immigration.
Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (Ill.) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), both members of the panel, are crafting a bill to shield children living in the country illegally from being deported if they grew up in the United States and have stayed out of trouble.
The bill is likely to have the support of another Republican on the committee, Sen. Jeff Flake (Ariz.). He was a member of the so-called Gang of Eight that put together the comprehensive immigration reform bill that passed the Senate in 2013.
Trump has vowed to repeal Obama’s executive orders that halted deportations for people who came to the country illegally at a young age, as well as deportations of the parents of citizens and lawful permanent residents.

..I have NEVER written one of my politicians before, but I may in this case. I think either Graham has an electoral death wish, or he is just THAT far out of touch with his constituents.

The one and only time to fix any of this is during the primaries.

You can be a bit more proactive than that. Look at his contributors and spend / don't spend accordingly. And let them know it, too.

Take this from someone whom, at one time, prepared draft responses for the offices of congressional military liaisons, to constituents.
If writing a letter to a congressman or senator makes you feel better, I recommend you do it. If you are looking for meaningful results beyond the 'feel good', I recommend you look elsewhere.
"Thank you for your interest in Private Schmedlap, the United States Army, and our national defence."

In the sixties, I got several thoughtful answers from Congressmen about transportation issues. They were probably as banal as the computer-generated 'responses' of the 21st century, but I appreciated them.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
