-Short Attention Span Theater-
Gen. Wesley Clark's son heading astroturf protest group
[Oathkeepers] The leaders of this effort are Michael A. Wood Jr. and Wesley Clark Jr. On the surface, the effort appears to be a legitimate attempt on the part of Mr. Wood and Mr. Clark to raise awareness of the Standing Rock tribe protest. Their “Op Order” suggests that they intend to provide much needed relief to the current protesters at the site and to use military formations in order to secure the site perimeter. The language and adjectives used in their literature identifies organizations like the Sheriff’s Dept. as an “opposing force”. I’m sure the Sheriff will not be amused with their stance. They state their “mission” as follows:

“Our mission is to prevent progress on the Dakota Access Pipeline and draw national attention to the human rights warriors of the Sioux tribes regarding the United States lack of treaty enforcement.”

Curious as to the background and capabilities of Michael A. Wood Jr. and Wesley Clark Jr., I reviewed their background and some of the other initiatives they have supported. Mr. Wood was a member of the USMC and a Baltimore City Police Officer. Mr. Wood made the background research effort easy by hosting his own website that touts his achievements. He started seeking media attention in conjunction with the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore. He takes a hard-stance against his former colleagues at the Baltimore Police Department in numerous interviews with the press and became a minor celebrity in Baltimore with his timely allegations of police wrong doing.

Skid,

Beat me to it. Clark Sr. damn near started WWIII under Clinton, and nobody ever said a word about it. 'Nut' is entirely too polite a term.

How Trump Turned the National Media Into Impotent Hecklers
[DAILYWIRE] Savor it. It finally happened. The national media no longer matters. The entire institution has been rendered as irrelevant as a drunken fan in the cheap seats pretending to know more about the game than Kobe. Sure, the media might still have the power to annoy. But as far as how the players play, the institution is now just, well, belligerent jerks with no power, no sway, no influence.

Much of the credit does not belong to President-elect Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
. The media did this to themselves. What Trump does deserve credit for -- and I'll get to this -- is realizing that the Emperor has no clothes and firing the kill shot.

#1  Beat these ignorant know nothings down with the Truth until they learn from the "Election".

It is not about an Election. It is about serving a meaningful purpose by being the most professional in any profession you were in. ( not saying I have been any gift myself)
But do not distort things to try to make them your way.

Rather, stay out of judgeship when you are media.

Read up. Know the Law somewhat, Read the Bill of Rights, Constitution, and understand that no public will permit being lied to for too long.

You are US Press, not the media of the world. You may carry broadcasts there, but you in no way share in the Grace of other Nations by lying to them too.

Some would not appreciate knowing that all US "news" channels you have are all bullshit pravda from commies just like the Soviets fed you.

Screw that, You are toast. The Gig is up!.

Stop accusing everyone of being something. I really hate that shit.

Bearing False Witness - It is not a thing to do.

#3  I regret to say they have learned nothing. I claim they have been this way since Watergate. Then before that with Vietnam with Walter. Then for them to change would mean to admit failure. That will never happen. They will continue to lose money as ESPN is now. New media must step up to the task. Alternative media will lead the way. Main stream will be smoked.

#4  I don't believe they have ever been honest. The government has always fed us bullshit and the media has always given the government a pass. Roosevelt got away with all kinds of crimes and they never called him on it. I do believe this has been especially so during Democrat administrations. Remember how they fawned over Kennedy? The guy was slime but you'd have thought he was Jesus Christ. They kept calling his administration Camelot. But they knew about the women and kept it quiet for him. If not for Drudge they would have done the same for Clinton. Lazy, dishonest, drunken bastards. They will never rouse themselves to follow the money or dig into courthouse records. Never have, never will.

We may now search Truth on our own and discard the juice drink / snack pak media for 5th grade information flows.

Life is so much better without them for me.
The best thing about not being antagonized and challenged by idiot cultural marxist fellating democrats at the dinner hour.

Rather, I like the scrolling "on the ground" field reports from people actually there to deliver snark about the new strawman story nbc pulled out of their ass.

They are a disgusting shame and anger me that people even ask me about subjects they cynically deliver to the DumbMasses.

These people have been brainwashed into thinking that what is important is on the evening news shows.

It is all agit-prop. All of it.

This Week in Guns, December 4th, 2016

By Chris Covert
Rantburg.com

Continuing somewhat tangentally last week's discussion on silencers/suppressors, Weapons Man posted an avid defense of bolt action rifles, listing element by element the benefits of owning/using them. The discussions were useful as well, and they yielded a couple of videos which illustrated my points about silencers.

The first video shows how much noise reduction can occur using subsonic ammunition, depending on the platform. The noise from the shooting is reduced, and comparatively you can hear how much, which isn't much.

The second video is a demo of a CZ bolt action with a combined silencer and subsonic ammunition. The noise reduction is profound. However, a target will still be able to hear the shot even from a long distance away.

You also should read the comments about just how much the notion of a bolt action has changed: from a rotating mechanical set up. One of the bolt actions mentioned is similar to a Luger like lever action on the right side of the rifle that is actuated with just one finger.

In North Carolina the quietest gun of all was turned in to a voluntary gun turnover event: a BB gun.

Finally, if you want to gauge just how much of a bullet firearms owners have dodged in the presidential election, see what California is about to do with their own agents: gun shops. I wouldn't breathe much of a sigh of relief, however. The national reprieve is temporary, unless Congress passes laws intended to expand firearms ownership.

Loads.

China-Japan-Koreas
‘Nobody in Beijing DICTATES who we talk to!' – Amb Bolton defends Trump call to Taiwan
[Right Scoop] Bolton responded to the news of a phone call between Trump and Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, which caused China to submit a complaint with the US through its foreign ministry.

"Honestly, I think we should shake the relationship up. For the past several years China has made aggressive... belligerent claims in the South China Sea," he said on Fox & Friends.

Beijing views Taiwan as a rebel province of mainland China, and the United States has recognized China’s claim since President Jimmy Carter officially acknowledged the "one China" policy in 1979.

Therefore, Trump’s discussion with Tsai has been seen by some as a breach of protocol, but Bolton disagreed:

"Nobody in Beijing gets to dictate who we talk to. It’s ridiculous to think that the phone call upsets decades of anything."

While he makes a decent argument for doing what Trump did, it seems like a lot of patching up afterward instead of a reasoned policy decision.

And in my mind I can see a long procession of solemn people walking to a stone bridge with nine arches, guarded on the east by bronze horsemen. Some in the procession walked hand-in-hand. At the stone bridge, they take one last look at hills to the west and leap to the icy waters below.

Europe
Austrian Minister: ‘It Would Be Fatal to Believe the Migrant Crisis Is Over'
[Breitbart] Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz has said that it would be "fatal" to consider the migrant crisis over. He also criticised German Chancellor Angela Merkel over her migrant policy and dominance in the European Union (EU).
Speaking to OVB Online, Foreign Minister Kurz, a staunch critic of Merkel’s migrant policies and who had claimed that Europe had "lost control" of her borders, stated that much had changed in the last year, exclaiming: "Thank God!"

Affirming that the migrant crisis was "not a purely German phenomenon," he reflected on reaction to his scepticism of the German chancellor’s open-door mass migration policies.

"When I criticised the open borders and insisted that we stop the inflow, I was massively criticised."

"My position was a minority position that was sharply criticised in the media and was not accepted by the majority of the population at the time."

"For many things I said, I was scolded a year ago. Now there is applause."

Le Pen victory would be 'body blow' to Europe: Cameron
Britain's former premier said Saturday the election of France's Marine Le Pen would be a "big body blow" for Europe, saying he hoped for the victory of a mainstream party. David Cameron said the recent rise of "anti-system, populist" and "quite extreme political parties" in western Europe did not mark the end of globalisation, but warned of the immediate need to make a "major course correction" to address related economic and cultural challenges.

"If France were to elect Marine Le Pen, that would be obviously a very big body blow for the European project," he said at a Hindustan Times organised conference in New Delhi, hoping for a victory of "a mainstream party that can unite people behind their candidacy".

He said the demand for and benefit of free trade, travel, specialisation, technology, innovation were not going away.

"But we do need to understand very profoundly the things that have happened, that have caused the events you have seen in Europe and the wider world in the last one year," he added.
Such as? Either he didn't enumerate them or the reporter didn't provide them.
Cameron resigned as prime minister in June after he -- a supporter and campaigner for Britain to remain in the European Union -- lost a high-stakes national referendum on the very issue.

He defended the merits of having Britain stay in the bloc.

"I still believe it would have been better for Britain to remain inside the EU," he said in the Indian capital.

"Our neighbours, our partners, our friends and our allies and I wanted us to stay in the room with them when they make decisions that affect us and our continent," Cameron added.
But your people didn't want to stay...

'We're teaching university students lies'
[C2Cjournal] An interview with Dr Jordan Peterson.

"There’s a war going on at the heart of our culture. Lots of people have talked about political correctness, and the fact that its pernicious. Often, that just disappears into the ether. I think what I did was different because there was something I said I wouldn’t do. That took the general and made it specific."

#1  It would seem that a few targeted lawsuits across the country against groups and universities who are trying to deprive us of our basic rights as outlined in the Constitution ought to squelch much of this B.S. at least in the U.S. It would seem that the deprivation of 1st Amendment rights by these groups and institutions would be the basis for the lawsuits.

The other thing that’s built into this law and the surrounding policies – and this is also increasingly the case in sexual harassment tribunals on university campuses which the [Ontario Premier Kathleen] Wynne government is pushing like mad – they’ve changed two legal principles. It’s not ‘innocent before being proven guilty,’ it’s ‘preponderance of evidence,’ and it’s not intent, it’s outcome. Those transformations are so far reaching, it’s almost unimaginable."

‘RIDICULOUS' to blame sexism or white supremacy for Hillary's loss – Krauthammer
[Right Scoop] Chuck Krauthammer mocked liberals and the Hillary campaign for blaming "white supremacy" and sexism for Hillary’s loss, saying that it was instead a lack of a coherent message that killed Hillary’s hope.

#3  Blaming sexism or white supremacy for Hillary's loss? More scatology from the left. No, she (along with the DNC) is crooked, doesn't like American's much, is not liked by Americans much, ran a poor campaign, is seriously ill, had a sense of entitlement about the Presidency, and ought to be in prison.

#6  IMO, it isn't sexism or white supremacy per se it's the eurocentric belief in objective reality.

#7  it was instead a lack of a coherent message that killed Hillary’s hope

If Hillary had presented a coherent message on her real agenda she wouldn't have gotten anywhere near as far as she did. She obfuscated in a most deliberate manner. It was her only choice.

Our counterinsurgency doctrine
[DAWN] RETIRED Gen Raheel Sharif
..Pak chief of army staff, meaning he pulls the strings on the Nawaz Sharif puppet to make it dance and sing and not do much at all....
’s major contribution to achieving peace and security in the country was the launch of the military operation Zarb-e-Azb

in North Wazoo. Although long overdue, previous military and civilian leaders had refrained from striking the holy warriors’ hive in the restive agency on the pretext of what they perceived as negative internal and external implications. The then army chief put aside these apprehensions and made a decision for which he will be remembered as a man of action, notwithstanding some persisting concerns about the long-term impact and sustainability of the operation.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Palestinian Preacher: Muslims Must Seize Nukes And Eliminate Israel
[Breitbart IS] TEL AVIV ‐ Muslims should seize Pakistan’s nuclear weapons and "eliminate the state of the Jews in one or two strikes," a Palestinian cleric declared in a recent sermon delivered at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Sheikh Abd Al-Salam Abu Al-Izz called on Muslims two weeks ago to "rise up" and "take command and control" to "bring Islam everywhere in the world," according to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

Salam countered prevailing notions in the Arab world that Donald Trump’s election victory would somehow lead America to self-destruct.

"The Muslims’ reaction to Trump’s victory was hopefully he’ll destroy (the U.S.) and sit on its ruins," the imam said. "May he engage in nuclear wars, from which (the Muslims) will emerge intact. This is not how things go."

Instead, he said, the "nation of Islam" should "take matters into its own hands" and "get rid of the governments, kings, sultans, sheikhs and emirs [and] toss them into the garbage bin of history."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Former IS Intel Official: Fearing Trump Presidency, Iran To Speed Up Arming Terror Proxies
[Breibart IS] TEL AVIV ‐ Fearing Donald Trump’s impending presidency, Iran is accelerating its vision of regional hegemony by bolstering its efforts to arm its Middle East proxies, a former director-general of Israel’s Ministry of International Affairs and Strategy told the Algemeiner Wednesday.

According to IDF Brig. Gen. (res.) Yosef Kuperwasser, Iran is concerned that a Trump administration will obstruct its operations in Syria. Kuperwasser’s remarks came after Arabic-language media reported an Israeli Air Force strike that targeted Lebanon-based terrorist organization Hezbollah near Damascus Tuesday night.

While Kuperwasser would not directly confirm whether or not Tuesday’s strike actually took place, he said that "based on past such cases, there is good reason to believe it did."

Kuperwasser maintained that a strike at this time would have occurred as the result of intelligence gathered by Israel on specific weapons convoys, the report said. He also noted that the IDF is keeping a close eye on Iran’s proxy Hezbollah, which "has been gaining in strength" while fighting for the Assad regime in Syria.

Regarding Jerusalem’s cooperation with Moscow, Putin will ensure that Hezbollah’s increased power in Syria does not extend to its home territory of Lebanon. Putin’s interest, Kuperwasser said, "is for Hezbollah to be armed for fighting in the Syrian civil war, not for other purposes."

"There is a mutual understanding of each other’s interests. Though Russia and Iran are backing Hezbollah combat rebel forces fighting against the Assad regime, Russia understands that Israel cannot allow weapons from Hezbollah in Syria to be moved to Lebanon, where they will be aimed at the Jewish state," he added.

Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards have assumed critical leadership roles in Aleppo, overseeing Shiite militiamen who are recruited by and trained in Iran.

However, even with Hezbollah’s increased muscle and its attempts to intimidate the Jewish state, including, most recently, a military parade in Homs, Syria to show off its "highly trained" army, the greatest concern for Israel at the moment is not Hezbollah, Kuperwasser said. "It is, rather, Iran’s increasing territorial contiguity -- crossing Iraq, Syria and Lebanon."

Former Shin Bet director Avi Dichter said this month that Iran now commands a force of some 25,000 Shiite militants in Syria.

"History proves that whenever Iranians craft groups like these, such as Lebanese Hezbollah, they don’t give up arms, they don’t stand down and they don’t leave territory that they’ve taken," he said. "They will be in Syria for years and years, and that will have consequences for everyone."
