..when three quarter get together for a convention and pass a dissolution amendment they can take home for ratification. Of course with three quarters they could also choose for expulsion of a few big city states also.
[AnNahar] The former number-two ranking official at the Pentagon, Ashton Carter, will likely be named as the next U.S. defense secretary, American media reported Tuesday.
President Barack Obama teachable moment... was poised to nominate Carter to replace outgoing Pentagon chief Chuck Hagel, "barring any last minute complications," CNN reported.
CNN cited several unnamed administration officials and The Washington Post also reported Obama would nominate Carter.
Pentagon officials acknowledged to Agence La Belle France-Presse that Carter was on a shortlist of candidates for the post but could not confirm if a final decision had been taken.
Hagel, the outgoing Pentagon chief, announced his resignation last week, with officials privately saying he was forced out after losing the confidence of the White House.
Carter, 60, has gained a reputation as an expert on hi-tech weapons and military budgets, portraying himself as a reformer intent on making the vast Pentagon bureaucracy more efficient.
While Carter is fluent with weapons programs and technological trends, he has less experience overseeing war strategy and has never served in uniform -- unlike his predecessor, Hagel, who was maimed in the Vietnam War.
An academic by training who holds a doctorate in theoretical physics from the University of Oxford,
There are those who will therefore assume he is smarter than President Obama, but we know that isn't possible, by definition.
Carter worked in the Pentagon during Bill Clinton ...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of is... 's presidency overseeing nuclear arms policies and helped with efforts to remove nuclear weapons from Ukraine and other former Soviet territories.
A former professor at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, Carter served as the Pentagon's top weapons buyer from 2009 to 2011 and then as deputy defense secretary until 2013.
When Carter stepped down last year, officials denied reports that he had clashed with Hagel.
Although he has served under two Democratic presidents, Carter is not a heavily partisan figure and the U.S. Senate would likely endorse his nomination, analysts say.
Carter would be a "great" choice, said Democrat Carl Levin ...Democrat Senator-for-Life from Michigan. He has been in the Senate since 1979. Prior to that he was president of the Detroit city council and Mayor Coleman Young's right-hand man. He is currently the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services... , chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
"He is very highly qualified," he said.
He added it was possible politicians could expedite a nomination for the Pentagon job in the next few weeks before a newly-elected Republican majority takes over the Senate in the new year.

An uppity, narcissistic, gender confused dope smoker, with mysterious pro-communist parentage possessing questionable citizenship and shrouded academic credentials, who surfaces from the Chicago political machine with virtually no credible qualifications of his own.
Why should we be surprised regarding those he appoints to high offices ?
1. Champ destroyed the Clinton Political Machine, driving a stake through the heart of Hillary's presidential aspirations - something no Republican was ever able to do.
2. Champ killed off the Kennedy Dynasty - no more Kennedys trolling Washington looking for booze and women wanting rides home.
3. Champ is destroying the Democratic Party before our eyes! Dennis Moore had never lost a race. Evan Bayh had never lost a race. Byron Dorgan had never lost a race. Harry Reid - soon to be GONE! These are just a handful of the Democrats whose political careers Obama has destroyed. By the end of 2014, dozens more will be gone. Just think, in December of 2008 the Democrats were on the rise. In the last two election cycles, they had picked up 14 Senate seats and 52 House seats. The press was touting the death of the Conservative Movement and the Republican Party. However, in just one year, Obama put a stop to all of this and gave the House and the Senate - back to the Republicans.
4. Champ has completely exposed liberals and progressives for what they are. Sadly, every generation seems to need to re-learn the lesson on why they should never actually put liberals in charge. Champ is bringing home the lesson very well: Liberals tax, borrow and spend. Liberals won't bring themselves to protect America. Liberals want to take over the economy.
Liberals think they know what is best for everyone. Liberals are not happy until they are running YOUR life.
5. Champ has brought more Americans back to conservatism than anyone since Reagan. In one year, he has rejuvenated the Conservative Movement and brought out to the streets millions of freedom loving Americans. Name one other time when you saw your friends and neighbors this interested in taking back America!
6. Champ, with his "amazing leadership," has sparked the greatest period of sales of firearms and ammunition this country has seen. Law abiding citizens have rallied and have provided a "stimulus" to the sporting goods field while other industries have failed, faded, or moved off-shore.
7. In all honesty, one year ago I was more afraid than I have been in my life. Not afraid of the economy, but afraid of the direction our country was going. I thought, Americans have forgotten what this country is all about. My neighbors and friends, even strangers, have proved to me that my lack of confidence in the greatness and wisdom of the American people has been flat wrong.
8. When the American people wake up, no smooth talking teleprompter reader can fool them! The Champ has served to wake up these great Americans! Again, I want to say: "Thank you, Champ!" After all, this is exactly the kind of hope and change we desperately needed!
9. He made Jimmy Carter happy since Jimmy is no longer the worst president we've ever had.

Progressives have always been who they are, for them the ends justify the means, even if it means deliberately destroying individuals and rights along the way.
Progressives should be shot on sight, before they have a chance to corrupt and ruin everything they touch.

It was brought back to national popularity by the Progressives to replace the liquor tax that was so profitable for the government so that prohibition could be enacted without the government going broke.
It was sold to the American public as wealth redistribution and would only apply to the rich.

Of course, making 50,000 in annual salary in 1913 was considered 'rich'. Making 50,000 in annual salary today, not so much. Making 50,000 a year through government subsidies, welfare, housing support, Medicaid, et al and not working is considered the norm in too many neighborhoods.

Yes Mr. B well done. The Democratic party is a huge junk pile of self interested people but not of their base. Both parties are controlled by the DC elites. I cringe whenever we get a parting President. That's when the deals are done. Ried did help Obama pack the courts, very lopsided with Democrats.
