Fundamentally changing America thru financial ruin is going as planned by Hussein Obama.
(CNSNews.com) -The U.S. government debt, which topped $16 trillion for the first time at the close of business on Friday, now equals approximately $136,260 for every household in the country.
Just since President Barack Obama was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2009, the debt has increased by $45,848 per household--or about 50 percent per household.

So when can America = Amerika, the OWG Mighty USSA versus OWG Weak USRA Global SSR, engage in glorious Commie/Soviet-style DEBT WRITE-OFFS.
["I SEE NOTHING" SGT. SCHULTZ here].
Methinks our sacred Commie-esque Debt-to-GDP ratio will have to be much closer to that of the then-USSR's, 2012 Greece or Japan, etc. than as at present.
Speaking of Nippon ....
* FYI WORLD NEWS > DAILY YOMIURI = AXING N-POWER COULD COST TRILYUHNS. Japan would need to invest as much as Y$50.0Trilyuhn in so-called "Green Techs", e.g. Solar + Wind, in order to cease its dependency on Civilian NucEnergy by Year 2030.
Corresponding massive increase in "Green Debt" per capita per individual Household.

Hey I can kick in $10.
Not sure where the other $136,250 for my family is coming from. I don't think that giving up Starbucks is really gonna free up a lot of extra cash :-)

South Carolina Democratic chairman Dick Harpootlian compared his state's Republican female governor, Nikki Haley, to Hitler's mistress, Eva Braun this morning at a breakfast in Charlotte, North Carolina.
South Carolina's the State reports: S.C. Democratic Chairman Dick Harpootlian, never a loss for a quick quip, tossed a few stinging one-liners at the Wednesday delegation breakfast. Yes, it's Dick "Laff Machine" Harpootlian. Let's give it up for him folks...
On Gov. Nikki Haley participating in daily news briefings in a basement studio at the NASCAR Hall of Fame: "She was down in the bunker a la Eva Braun." Hey! Thank you!
I know you're out there, I can hear you breathing...
The comparisons of Nazis and Hitler to the Republicans seems to be an emerging theme from this Democratic convention. Yesterday, a top Democratic delegate from Kansas compared Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan to Hitler. The day before, a Democratic delegate from California compared Ryan to Nazi Joseph Goebbels. Followed by the obligatory half assed apology, and let's move it along, nuthin to see here...

...Harpootlian is the Democratic godfather down here. A more obnoxious and arrogant Donk you couldn't imagine, and that's saying something. I MIGHT p*ss on him to put him out if he was on fire...but I'm not making any promises.

NOTE: The Dems fear of lightning strikes occured shortley after removing God from the party platform.
"We have been monitoring weather forecasts closely and several reports predict thunderstorms in the area, therefore we have decided to move Thursday''s proceedings to Time Warner Cable Arena to ensure the safety and security of our delegates and convention guests," convention committee CEO Steve Kerrigan said.

I would like to know how they chose who would be able to enter the Bobcat's arena, since that has not been covered yet, certainly expecting more than the 20k seating, minus some for signage and decor, of such a smaller venue.

Crisis. The only way Hussein and the communists will be able to stay in power. A crisis that will drive up gas prices to where people are paralyzed. A crisis that drives up food prices to where people have to either depend on the government for food, via food stamps. A crisis that allows them to go after anyone that gets in the way of the "resolution of the crisis", political enemies. Its the marxist way of taking over America.
I've got to say, in all sincerity: I appreciate their brazenness in building a convention around the theme of a "war on women" while not only inviting Bill Clinton to be a headline speaker but having a video tribute to Teddy to start things off. They're all but admitting that their pretense of moral superiority really is just a pose taken for political effect. If John Edwards had walked out onstage to a standing ovation after this clip ended, it would have been one of the most honest moments in recent convention history. Alas, a missed opportunity.
#2
What you and many others don't get about this is that it is totally in line with the whole Democrat philosophy as spotlighted by such as "you didn't build that" and "we all belong to the government".
Bill "pervert" Clinton and Teddy "foul stench" Kennedy are foul only when looked at as individuals. If you look at the principles of the big picture statists it is only what policies you tout (to be paid for by others) not your behavior that matters.
This is just more of the statist attitude along the lines of Stalin's "one death is a tragedy, 1 meillion is a statistic".
Our betters are not to be judged by their individual actions, that's for the little people.
A long article in the New Yorker. Two nuggets:
(1) Soros declined to comment for this article. But several people familiar with his thinking suggest that Soros is currently preoccupied with other issues, such as the fate of his fortune the European Union, and is not inclined to take an outsized role in the 2012 Presidential campaign. As an advocate for greater government transparency, he is reportedly uncomfortable with the burgeoning role that secret donations now play in U.S. elections. I don''t find a foto of an irony meter. I guess it''s worn out.
In addition, confidants say that, although he still supports Obama, Soros has been disappointed by him, both politically and personally. Small slights can loom large with wealthy donors. When Soros wanted to meet with Obama in Washington to discuss global economic problems, Obama's staff failed to respond. Eventually, they arranged not a White House interview but, rather, a low-profile, private meeting in New York, when the President was in town for other business. Soros found this back-door treatment confounding. "He feels hurt," a Democratic donor says. The rich and powerful like to be treated like they''re rich and powerful, not a colonialist.
(2) "There's been no thanks for anyone!" the major Democratic donor says. He adds that in 2008 he gave "multiple millions" to groups working to elect Obama. But, he notes, although he has attended various White House functions, and has met Obama on several occasions, "I don't think they have a clue who I am. I don't think they even know how much I gave." He says that he has been introduced twice to Jarrett, "and neither time did she remember who I am." Instead, he says, "she seemed to think she was blessing me by breathing in the same space."
Despite repeated pitches, he has not yet given money to Priorities USA. In his view, the Obama White House has not followed the fundamental rule of donor maintenance, which he himself has practiced while fund-raising for other causes: "You have to suck up!" With Obama, he says, "I don't know if it's a personality thing, an ego thing, or an intellectual thing. I just don't get it. But people want to be kissed. They want to be thanked." They want to be remembered for their generosity. How plebian!

Near the conclusion If farmers and blacksmiths could win independence from an empire...if immigrants could leave behind everything they knew for a better life on our shores...if women could be dragged to jail for seeking the vote...if a generation could defeat a depression, and define greatness for all time...if a young preacher could lift us to the mountaintop with his righteous dream...and if proud Americans can be who they are and boldly stand at the altar with who they love...then surely, surely we can give everyone in this country a fair chance at that great American Dream. And the final tug at your heartstrings -
But today, I have none of those worries from four years ago about whether Barack and I were doing what''s best for our girls.
Because today, I know from experience that if I truly want to leave a better world for my daughters, and all our sons and daughters...if we want to give all our children a foundation for their dreams and opportunities worthy of their promise...if we want to give them that sense of limitless possibility -- that belief that here in America, there is always something better out there if you''re willing to work for it...then we must work like never before...and we must once again come together and stand together for the man we can trust to keep moving this great country forward...my husband, our President, President Barack Obama.
Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America. Does that mean she''s still proud of this country?

Truth be told I miss the radical Michelle of old - its disconcerting to see how Marriage, Motherhood, + being FLOTUS, etc. has turned Sign-N-Molotov-carrying Michelle into the establishment Political, Femme stereotype she'd once vehemently railed against.
More than 120 protesters from the Occupy Wall Street movement turned up outside of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) Tuesday calling for the arrest of President Barack Obama. The crowd consisted mainly of disaffected young voters who had eagerly cast their ballots for Obama in 2008. Suckers!
"I wept in the street when this guy won [in 2008], but he hasn't gotten the job done," one protester told an Obama supporter outside of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. If we arrested every politician who didn't get the job done...
An Occupy protester from Atlanta who goes by the name D-Rocket turned up in Charlotte after sitting out the Republican National Convention last week. He said that the protest's presence at the DNC was even more important since Obama has failed to carry out many of the policies he advocated on the campaign trail in 2008.
"Even the healthcare bill was a massive kickback to pharmaceutical and insurance companies," he said. "The one that eventually got passed is essentially a requirement that everybody purchase health insurance ... I'm not very happy with it."
Mr. Rocket roamed the streets of Charlotte with a life-size replica of a Reaper drone that Obama has used to kill terrorists, including American-born Anwar al-Awlaki. Obama has made his counter-terrorist operations the center of his foreign policy credentials to demonstrate his toughness to the American people. However, that strategy received a sour response from protesters in Charlotte, who decried the high civilian toll drones have taken in Afghanistan. Not a word was spoken about violent men who hide among the innocent.
The crowd carried a more militant attitude than D-Rocket into the soaked, barren, caged-in "Free Speech zone" that Democrats and the city of Charlotte constructed for the protesters. The crowd chanted "arrest Obama" and held signs that called the president a "fucking traitor" as they assembled outside of the zone surrounded by dozens of bicycle cops. Several police helicopters circled overhead. See, this is why we can''t have nice things.
"Thanks a lot Gestapo," a protester snarled at a police officer as he joined his compatriots. Comparing one''s foes to the Nazis: has this tactic ever not worked?
"There's not been a lot of progress," D-Rocket said.

Not sure why we emphasize "american born" when it comes to Anwar al-Awlaki. I mean he actively took up war against his nation. It's not like he was a tourist caught in the cross-fire.

Mr. Rocket roamed the streets of Charlotte with a life-size replica of a Reaper drone
Just a guess, but 'life-size replica', means a little model since the real thing is 36 feet long with a 65 foot wingspan and I can't picture the OWSers working that hard.
As for "I wept in the street when this guy won", yeah, me too. But I had the good manners to do it indoors.

Hopefully they keep comparing Bambi to Jesus. The more they do that, the better things will be. Come on, we ALL know that's what they think, they should say it openly and post it everywhere.
[Daily Nation (Kenya)] Republicans bent on disrupting Barack Obama I don't sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick... 's run-in to his big convention speech pounced Tuesday after the president gave himself only a grade of "incomplete" on fixing the economy.
The US leader was in politically contested territory in Virginia to hold his final rally before heading to the Democratic National Convention, which his wife Michelle was to headline with an opening night speech later in the day.
Republicans are trying to narrow the election into a referendum on Obama's economic management, and capitalized on several days of clumsy messaging by the president and his team, inserting themselves into convention news coverage.

The Israeli ambassador to America, Michael Oren, has released a statement rebuking the chair of the Democratic National Party.
Earlier today, Phil Klein reported:
Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz claimed on Monday that Israel's ambassador to the United States has accused Republicans of being "dangerous" to Israel by criticizing President Obama's record.
The Florida congresswoman made the charge at a training session for Jewish Democrats held by the Obama campaign here at the Democratic National Convention, aimed at teaching Jewish Democrats how to convince their fellow Jews to vote for Obama.
Much of the session, which featured a string of speakers from the Obama campaign, was devoted to defending Obama's record on Israel. During her talk, Wasserman Schultz said that Republicans, who "can't get anywhere with our community on domestic issues" instead "do everything they can to lie and distort and mischaracterize this president's stellar record on Israel."
Ambassador Michael Oren just released this statement: "I categorically deny that I ever characterized Republican policies as harmful to Israel. Bipartisan support is a paramount national interest for Israel, and we have great friends on both sides of the aisle."

Don't let her over-gelled hairstyle fool you, Deb is a true Ruling Class Elite. She's been riding roughshod over peoples lives since she was 26. She knows what's good for you, and she's not afraid to crack some skulls to prove it.
Likes: Central Planning, making false accusations, groupthink, and deep-fried Snickers.
Dislikes: Mean people aka Non-Liberal/Progressives, the unborn, 2nd Amendment, and self-reliant people.
Her words of wisdom: Speak derogatorily and carry a cute smile; you will go far.

Nothing in today's hard copy WaPo or NYTimes about this (at least the editions I have).
Most important of all will be how the Florida dailies and the NY Jewish weeklies play this because the Jewish population of Florida reads these and, in Florida, if Obama loses even 25% of the Jewish vote, he almost certainly loses Florida.

CHAFRLOTTE, N.C. (JTA) -- Israel's ambassador to Washington, Michael Oren, "categorically denied" that he specified the Republican Party when he described as harmful making Israel a partisan issue.
"I categorically deny that I ever characterized Republican policies as harmful to Israel," Oren said in a statement emailed Tuesday to reporters. "Bipartisan support is a paramount national interest for Israel, and we have great friends on both sides of the aisle."
Rep. Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), in a training session Monday for Jewish activists at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., said Republican efforts to depict President Obama as insufficiently pro-Israel were a salve to those who longed for a wedge between Israel and its most powerful ally.
"We know, and Ive heard no less than Ambassador Michael Oren say this, that what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel," she said.
Oren has repeatedly said attempts to make Israel a partisan issue are detrimental to the bipartisan support the Jewish state has for years enjoyed, but he has never singled out one party as more responsible than the other for promoting such divisions.

And Politico, not exactly a conservative site, if I understand correctly, has the entire back and forth, including Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz's claim that she was deliberately misquoted and a link to the Washington Examiner video of her saying exactly what was claimed.

as of a few minutes ago both Haaretz and JeruPost have the story about the change in the Dem platform but neither have the story on the Wasserman-Schultz lie
so we'll see
a lot may also depend on the coverage on local Florida TV news

Democratic platform... "Incomplete".
Fox just announced the DNC will restore the God and Jerusalem language to the platform. Cock-up soon to be repaired.
#9
The reversal of the platform and the boos upon the adoption of the amendment should guarantee coverage in the dailies. Even the WaPo and NYTimes will now be forced to mention it - even if they don't do it honestly.

Interesting piece, but Champ and the dems have not certainly not abandoned their quest for a permanent, one party system populated by unchecked immigration and the nanny state, food stamp and condom entitlement crowd. For a representative democracy to operate properly, the ability of an electorate to migrate between political parties must be present. Social engineering destroys the host culture (western faith based family structures) and seeks to establish a permanent, centrally controlled, strong-man, single party tyrany like that of Zimbabwe or North Korea. Where a permanent majority exists, democracy ends.
#3
Minorities, in fact, have done far worse under this administration than virtually any in recent history, including George W. Bush. [Blacks account for] 12 percent of the nations population, [but] 21 percent of the nations jobless.
Latinos, the other major part of the partys downstairs coalition, have also fared badly under Obama. Overall, the gap in net worth of minority households compared to whites is greater today than in 2005. White households lost 16% in recent years, but African-Americans dropped 53% and Latinos a staggering 66% of their pre-crash wealth.
The crucial part of this article is that the Democratic party has become the party of the urban elite. Blacks and Latinos are playing the role of suckers (along with the middle class). Anyone who supports the democrats and does not have a trust fund is about be scr*wed.
