[AFRICANEWS] Fifteen civilians, including three army auxiliaries, were killed in "simultaneous attacks" by suspected jihadists on Saturday in eastern Burkina Faso ...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president used to be Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and was chased out in 2014. Now it's the usual army officer type guy, Captain Ibrahim Traore, running things, who's just doing a bang-up job unless he's already been deposed... , local and security sources told AFP on Tuesday. These "simultaneous and synchronised attacks" took place in two neighbourhoods of Diapaga, the capital of Tapoa province in the east of the country, and left fifteen people dead, a local resident told AFP, an attack and corpse count confirmed by a representative of the province's civil society.
"Fifteen people, including three Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland (VDP, civilian auxiliaries to the army) and twelve civilians, were killed by the murderous bullets of lawless men" who "carried out this attack", said Kondia Pierre Yonli, a front man for civil society organizations, in a written note.
"The population, in total disarray, took them to their final resting place on Sunday 19 November at the Diapaga municipal cemetery", he added.
"In tribute to these men who fell to their deaths (...) a day of 'ville morte' will be observed throughout the Diapaga municipality on Tuesday", he said, adding that markets, schools "and all public services will remain closed".
Confirming the attack, a security source said that "the response of the defence forces repelled the attackers and neutralised several dozen of them". "An air-land operation is underway in the eastern region and has already neutralised more than fifty hard boyz and dismantled several of their bases".
Since 2015, Burkina Faso has been caught up in a spiral of violence perpetrated by jihadist groups affiliated to the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... and al-Qaeda, which were already striking neighbouring Mali and Niger.
To date, more than 17,000 civilians and soldiers have been killed over the past eight years, including more than 6,000 since the beginning of 2023, according to the NGO Acled, which tracks the victims of conflicts around the world.
The violence has also led to the internal displacement of more than two million people, according to the National Council for Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation (Conasur).
[AFRICANEWS] Fierce fighting this weekend pitted Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... fighters against another jihadist group, affiliated with the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... , in the Lake Chad region, anti-jihadist Death Eaters said on Monday, adding that "more than 60 people are feared dead".
The fighting took place on Friday and Saturday when Islamic State in West Africa (ISWAP) fighters ambushed a fleet of Boko Haram boats on the islet of Kaduna Ruwa in Lake Chad, which straddles Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon ...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there... and Chad, the sources said.
"The fighting began at around 4pm (1500 GMT) and continued until Saturday morning. Nine Boko Haram boats and all the fighters on them were sunk," Ibrahim Liman, a leader of an anti-jihadist militia in the region, told AFP.
In addition to the fighters, several dozen hostages kidnapped two weeks earlier were present on these boats. "At least 60 people died, at the very least, if you count the fighters and their dozens of hostages", said Mr Liman.
"We don't have a definitive assessment of the fighting, but there will certainly be more than 60 dead. Nine boats sank, and (...) we know that the rebels charge them a lot when they are on operations", added another anti-jihadist militia leader, Kabiru Habu.
However, we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by... no bodies have yet been found, according to local sources, and no confirmation of this corpse count was available from the local authorities on Monday.
- KIDNAPPINGS -
Two weeks earlier, Boko Haram fighters had left their camp in the Diffa region of Niger for the island of Doron Baga on the Nigerian shore of Lake Chad, terrorising the local population by looting and kidnapping, Sallau Arzika, a fisherman from the village of Baga, told AFP.
They kidnapped several dozen people, including fishermen and at least eight Fulani ... a peculiarly brutal tribe of Moslem herdsmen infesting Mali, Niger, Nigeria, and probably other places that are light on law and order and heavy on tribal identity... women, according to Mr Arzika and Labo Sani, also a fisherman.
The jihadists beheaded one of the fishermen and gave his head to other fishermen to take to a military contingent in Cameroon to threaten them with an attack, according to these sources.
They were intercepted by ISWAP troops, who then hunted down their rivals and attacked the Boko Haram fighters and their hostages.
In February and March, the two factions of Boko Haram and ISWAP clashed for control of the islands in Lake Chad.
According to fishermen and local anti-jihadist militiamen, both factions lost many men in the fighting. The jihadist conflict has killed more than 40,000 people in north-east Nigeria and displaced more than 2 million since 2009.
[IsraelTimes] 38-year-old Polish suspect holds Islamist bad boy sympathies and was found to have photo of the late Osama bin Laden ...... who is now sometimes referred to as Mister Bones...... in her home
Polish authorities say that they have arrested and pressed charges against a 38-year-old Polish woman with Islamic bad boy sympathies who planted an bomb on a street in central Warsaw earlier this month. There were no injuries.
Police said in a statement published on Monday that the woman placed the device in Warsaw on the night of November 10-11 and then took a train back to her home in western Poland.
Nobody was hurt, but the device had the potential to injure many people, police said.
"The makeshift bomb filled with gas containers and nails could have caused a serious threat to the health and lives of many people," the statement said. It added that she was charged with "causing danger and bringing danger to the life and health of many people, as well as preparation for causing such danger."
Police used CCTV footage to track her movements. After planting the device in Warsaw, she headed to the central train station in the capital and then traveled to the western Polish city of Wroclaw, and was arrested at her home in the nearby town of Strzelin.
Police described the suspect as a Polish woman interested in Middle Eastern affairs, but wouldn’t give any more details about her.
They released a video showing police fingerprinting and handcuffing her and also showed some of the objects they said they found in her home. Among them was an image of former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
"Police officers secured items and gadgets related to Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. [IsraelTimes] Suspects from Bavaria said to range in age from 18 to 62; one reportedly posted to WhatsApp school class chat ’Gas the Jews’, another called for extermination of Jewish people
German authorities on Tuesday raided the homes of 17 people in the state of Bavaria accused of spreading antisemitic hate speech and threats targeting Jews online.
According to the Bavarian criminal police, the suspects were 15 men and two women, aged between 18 and 62, the German news agency dpa reported. Police questioned the suspects and confiscated evidence from their homes, including cell phones and laptops, the agency said.
The suspects were said to have celebrated the attacks by Paleostinian terror group Hamas ...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... on Israel on October 7 that killed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians. They were also accused of spreading hate speech against Jewish people on social media, using symbols of banned terrorist organizations, dpa reported.
The police operation focused on Bavaria’s capital city of Munich where nine of the accused resided. Further searches were carried out in the Bavarian towns of Fuessen and Kaufbeuren as well as in the counties of Passau, Fuerstenfeldbruck, Berchtesgadener Land, Coburg, Aschaffenburg and Hassberge.
One suspect allegedly sent a sticker in a WhatsApp school class chat showing a clown with the words "Gas the Jews." Another person, a German-Ottoman Turkish dual citizen, allegedly posted on his account that "the Jewish sons" deserved nothing more than to be "exterminated," dpa reported.
Another suspect, a Ottoman Turkish citizen, is accused of posting a picture of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler ...late Fuehrer of Germany, founder of the Third Reich, currently communing with his pals Himmler and Heydrich. He is reincarnated every few days as a politician somebody doesn't like... shortly after the October 7 attacks with the caption "I could kill all the Jews, but I left some alive to show you why I killed them." Next to it, he posted a Paleostinian flag, the caption "Free Paleostine" and an emoji with a victory sign.
"Unfortunately, antisemitism has an impact on the daily life of many Jews in Germany," Michael Weinzierl, the Bavarian police commissioner against hate crime told dpa, "the terrorist attack by Hamas against Israel also has an impact on their lives in Germany."
Weinzierl said it was important to show Jews and Israelis living in the state "that we stand behind them here in Bavaria, that we protect them here and also protect them from hostility."
Last month, Germany’s chancellor and president strongly denounced a rise in antisemitism in the country in the wake of the Israel-Hamas war.
Germany has strict rules against hate speech. Raids in connection with the publication of banned symbols such as swastikas and other Nazi symbols are not uncommon. The denial of the Holocaust, in which the Nazis and their henchmen murdered 6 million European Jews, is also banned.
Antisemitism has spiked in cities across the world following the Hamas attack and subsequent conflict.
War erupted on October 7, when Hamas-led murderous Moslems from Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... breached the border and then rampage murderously through southern Israeli communities, killing over 1,200 people and abducting some 240. The attack came under cover of a barrage of thousands of rockets fired at Israel. Hamas and other terror groups have continued to launch rockets at Israel, displacing over 200,000 people.
According to Gaza’s Hamas-run health authorities, more than 13,000 Paleostinians have been killed, two-thirds of them women and minors. Those figures cannot be independently verified, and Hamas has been accused of inflating them and of designating button men in their late teens as children. It is not known how many among its total are combatants, and how many among the dead were victims of misfired rockets aimed at Israel.

Reporters, bless their black little hearts!
A more curious person might wonder where all the flaming wreckage came from, or why the perps were barreling the wrong way through the checkpoint.
[DM] An attempted terror attack on Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls today saw a car explode, causing a massive explosion at a toll checkpoint that killed the vehicle's two occupants. Any bets that one or both occupants were named Moh?
Fox News cites law enforcement sources who say the intention was a larger attack to kill more and the FBI Terrorism Task Force Such as it is...
is investigating but officials are yet to confirm the motive.
It remains unclear if anyone aside from those in the car were injured.
The City of Niagara Falls says the explosion came from a car that was trying to enter the US from Canada. It comes just two days after an intelligence report signaled increased risk of a terror attack in New York City.
After the explosion, motorists who'd driven into America were told to leave their vehicles and walk back into Canada while the cars were checked for bombs.
[GEO.TV] Three faceless myrmidons were bumped off in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Dera Ismail Khan ... the Pearl of Pashtunistan ... and South Wazoo districts, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the military's media wing said an IBO was conducted in the general area of Kulachi in the Dera Ismail Khan district following which two bad boyz were potted in an intense exchange of fire on November 20, 2023.
One more terrorist was executed during an operation in South Waziristan's Kot Azam general area, the ISPR stated.
"Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from all three killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as innocent civilians," the ISPR stated.
Meanwhile, ...back at the fist fight, Jake ducked another roundhouse, then parried with his left, then with his right, finally with his chin... a 26-year-old soldier — Sepoy Shahzeb, belonging to Rawalpindi — embraced martyrdom after an Improvised Explosive Device went kaboom! in the general area of Gharyoum, North Waziristan district.
"Sanitisation operations are being carried out to eliminate any faceless myrmidons present in the area as the security forces of Pakistain are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," the statement added.
Pakistain has faced a surge in terrorism in recent months, with the Tehrik-e-Taliban ...Arabic for students... Pakistain (TTP) and other krazed killer outfits intensifying their actions against security forces.
In response, the state has also launched operations to curb terrorism.
Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), in a report released in October, noted that the security forces lost at least 386 personnel in the first nine months of 2023, marking an eight-year high.

[NYPOST] US troops killed several Iran-supported terrorists in a retaliatory airstrike Tuesday after they targeted American forces in Iraq, according to the Pentagon.
“I can confirm an attack last night by Iran-backed militias using a close-range ballistic missile against US and coalition forces at Al Asad airbase in Iraq,” deputy Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh told reporters.
The terrorist attack caused “several non-serious injuries and some minor damage to infrastructure,” she said.
In response, the US used an AC-130 gunship – a heavily armed and highly capable ground-attack aircraft – to “immediately” target a vehicle near the base that was associated with the militants, according to Singh.
The AC-130 was already in the air when the initial attack occurred and its crew was “able to keep an eye on the movement of these militants as they moved into their vehicles,” she said.
“The militants were targeted because the the AC-130 was able to determine the point of origin from where the close-range ballistic missiles were fired,” Singh said.
While a formal investigation is underway, the spokesperson could not say which Iran proxy group carried out the attack or how many militants were killed in the strike.
The attack and response come after US forces in the Middle East have come under relentless attack since the Oct. 7 Hamas assault on Israel and the resulting war in Gaza.
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says its 162nd Division has completed the encirclement of northern Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. It says the 215th Artillery Regiment and the Air Force carried out heavy strikes in Jabaliya to "prepare the ground for battle."
On the outskirts of Jabaliya, three tunnel entrances, with Hamas ...a regional Iranian catspaw,... operatives inside, were struck, the IDF says.
The army says troops of the 401st Armored Brigade and Nahal Infantry Brigade battled Hamas operatives on Jabaliya’s outskirts, with air support. The forces also found and destroyed rocket launchers in the area.
Troops of the 551st Reserve Brigade and other special forces operated in the northern part of Jabaliya, working to open up a route for the division to maneuver, the IDF says. It says troops killed several Hamas button men, seized weapons, and destroyed tunnels.
[NYPOST] Israel raided Hamas terrorists’ luxury homes and parliament and police headquarters in Gaza City on Sunday, taking control of the sites and uncovering a slew of weapons and tunnel entrances below them.
Israeli paratroopers and armored units descended on the neighborhoods of Sheikh Ijlin and Rimal, executing a series of rocket launches and raids in the heart of Gaza City, where Hamas has maintained power since 2007.
Much of the once-affluent area was already leveled by Israeli air strikes since the war began last month, but the Israel Defense Forces said it still encountered several Hamas operatives in Sheikh Ijlin and Rimal and killed them while also raiding some wealthy terrorist homes.
The IDF said it found 35 tunnel shafts in the area leading to Hamas’ 300-mile underground network, along with dozens of weapon stashes, The Jerusalem Post reported.
In addition, the IDF’s 7th Armored Brigade and Golani Infantry Brigade successfully took control of Hamas’ parliament building, its entire government complex and its police headquarters, The Times of Israel said.
The IDF captured a Gazan university faculty building, too, that allegedly served to produce and develop weapons for the terrorist group.
A Hamas training base, command center, interrogation rooms and detention cells were commandeered as well by the advancing Israeli army.
Hamas officials have yet to comment on the fighting in Sheikh Ijlin and Rimal, as rolling communications blackouts have become the norm in Gaza.
Israeli soldiers also captured Hamas' government facilities and headquarters.
In other developments:
The White House warned Israel against carrying out an all-out offensive in southern Gaza until the IDF finds a way to attack there while avoiding the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who fled south at Israel’s direction.
The Yemen-based, Iran-backed Houthis rebels have hijacked an Israeli-linked cargo ship in the Red seas carrying dozens of people as they vow to carry out attacks on vessels waving the Israeli flag.
The Palestinian Authority Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the Jewish state of killing some of its own people Oct. 7, claiming that an Israeli police helicopter may have accidentally fired on attendees at the Nova Music festival in Israel that day while trying to retaliate against Hamas as it attacked the event.
Sunday’s Israeli assaults in Gaza are the latest in the IDF’s advancements in the north of the region as it seeks to eradicate Hamas after the terror group’s Oct. 7 attack that claimed the lives of more than 1,200 people, mostly Israeli civilians.
Sunday's assault saw Israeli soldiers conduct rocket launches that killed several Hamas gunmen.
More than 11,500 Palestinians have been killed since war broke out, according to the Hamas-linked Gaza’s Health Ministry, with at least 11 more killed on Sunday after an Israeli airstrike hit a home in Jabalia.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Sunday that two schools were hit by airstrikes in less than 24 hours in Gaza, killing many women and children.
“Hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians are seeking shelter at United Nations facilities throughout Gaza due to the intensified fighting,” Guterres said in a statement. “I reaffirm that our premises are inviolable.” "Inconceivable!"
The secretary-general’s statement came as Philippe Lazzarini, head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, said shelters in Gaza cannot afford to become “collateral damage” in the Israel-Hamas war.
“Most of the facilities hit had families in them – including older people, parents, and children,” Lazzarini said in a statement. “They were all clearly marked as UN buildings carrying a blue flag.
“Once again, shelters meant to provide safety and protection to civilians have been hit, killing many people, including children,” he said. “These acts not only blatantly contravene the rules of war, they also show a total disregard for humanity.”

It publishes two images, one showing the open door and the other further inside the tunnel.
Earlier this week, the IDF released footage showing the inside of the tunnel shaft and part of the tunnel. After around 55 meters, the tunnel ended with a blast door, likely protecting Hamas assets below ground.
The IDF has said for weeks that a major network of tunnels and bunkers exists under Shifa.
The tunnel shaft had been located on the hospital grounds under a canopy, where IDF troops had also found a Hamas pickup truck with weapons in it, similar to those used by the terror group in the October 7 attacks.
Along with Shifa, Israel accuses Hamas of using other hospitals in the Strip for terror purposes.

Details of possible hostage and ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas:
A deal between Israel and Hamas to free dozens of hostages and declare a multi-day ceasefire is imminent and could be announced by the Qatari mediators as soon as today, Axios reports.
...As part of the hostage deal Israel would release three Palestinian prisoners held in Israel for each Israeli hostage released by Hamas.
In the first phase of the two-phase deal, Hamas is expected to release 50 Israeli women and children held in Gaza, while Israel is expected to release around 150 Palestinian prisoners, mostly women and minors.
The release of hostages and prisoners in the first phase of the deal would take place over four days of ceasefire in Gaza.
As part of the deal, Israel would allow around 300 aid trucks per day to enter Gaza from Egypt.
In a second phase, Hamas could release up to another 50 Israeli hostages — women, children and elderly people — in return for extending the ceasefire by several more days.
Israel would also release Palestinian prisoners at the same 3:1 ratio to the number of hostages freed.
[IsraelTimes] Israel believes Hamas could potentially locate some 30 more mothers and children and that the 4-day halt could be extended by extra day per each 10 Israeli hostages freed.

Interesting that 'people' seem to accept as fact that Israel is killing almost entirely innocent civilians, despite having some of world's most accurate munitions and operating at very short range. Logically one should think either these civilians are not civilians, or are not actually hit, or are only hit because they are being used as human shields (or a combination of all three.)

The strike today occurred in the village of Chaatiyeh near the Mediterranean coast, according to the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to reveal military information.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency confirms that four people were killed in a vehicle but did not give any further details.
The Paleostinian official said the four were members of the al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing. The Lebanese security official says the four were members of Hamas, without saying if they were from the military wing.
The Israeli military does not comment on the strike.
According to unconfirmed reports circulating on social media, among the Hamas members killed today was Khalil Kharaz, the deputy commander of Hamas’s Lebanon wing.
Hamas has a large presence in Lebanon, which is home to tens of thousands of Palestinians, many of them living in the country’s 12 refugee camps.
Since Hamas’s shock Oct. 7 attack in southern Israel that killed about 1,200 people, Hamas has claimed responsibility for firing rockets from Lebanon into northern Israel — along with many more fired by Lebanon terror group Hezbollah — as well as one cross-border infiltration.
On October 14, Hamas said three of its fighters were killed along the border and their bodies remain in Israel.
