[Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least eight murderous Moslems were killed and 12 others were maimed following murderous Moslems attack in eastern Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... of Afghanistan.
According to local security officials, the incident took place early on Saturday in Nari district.
Provincial police chief Gen. Abdul Habib Syed Khel said a group of Pak Taliban and Lashakr-e-Taiba murderous Moslems launched coordinated attack on a number of security check posts early on Saturday.
Syed Khel further added two members of Afghan national security forces were also killed during the festivities.
The Talibs group grabbed credit behind the incident and said at least three security check posts were occupied by Taliban fighters.
However, it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... the local security officials rejected the Taliban claims for occupying the security check posts.
Kunar is among the volatile provinces in eastern Afghanistan where anti-government armed Lion of Islam groups are actively operating in its various districts and frequently carry out insurgency activities.

[AnNahar] Morocco tossed in the clink Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out! five people Saturday in the southern city of Marrakesh on suspicion of seeking to join jihadists in Iraq and Syria and of aiding terrorist activities, the interior ministry said.
Three of those arrested, whose identities were not given, were "preparing to join terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq, in particular the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (IS)" group, a ministry statement said.
The other two were suspected of involvement in terrorist propaganda, with one of them calling for suicide kabooms to be carried out in Morocco.
On Thursday, four French Islamists were arrested in Marrakesh and in Laayoune, in Moroccan-controlled Western Sahara, for links to "terrorist organizations."
And at the end of October, Morocco said it had arrested two jihadists planning to attack banks and multinational companies in the North African country and in La Belle France.
It said the men had been motivated by the actions of Mohammed Merah, a French-Algerian killed by French police in March 2012 after murdering seven people, including several children, at a Jewish school.
More than 2,000 Moroccans, including people with dual citizenship, are believed to have signed on with jihadist groups in Syria and Iraq.
Worried about the possibility of those people returning and carrying out attacks at home, Morocco put in place reinforced security measures in August to counter the terror threat.

[AnNahar] At least 340 people have been killed in fighting for Libya's second city Benghazi since the launch of a government-backed offensive against Islamist militias a month ago, medical sources said Saturday.
More than 200 of the dead have been soldiers -- either members of the regular army or loyalists of controversial retired general Khalifa Haftar ... served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all... , the Red Islamic Thingy and hospital sources said.
But civilians are also among the casualties, caught up in the crossfire as troops battle to wrest the eastern city back from the militias that seized it in July.
All of Libya's three big cities -- the capital Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... , third city Misrata and Benghazi -- are largely under the control of Islamist-led militias.
In Benghazi, one of them -- Ansar al-Sharia ...a Salafist militia which claims it is not part of al-Qaeda, even though it works about the same and for the same ends. There are groups of the same name in Libyaand Yemen, with the Libyan versions currently most active. Tunisia's Shabaab al-Tawhid started out an Ansar al-Sharia and changed its name in early 2014. It still uses the old name now and then, probably because the stationery's not all used up and the web site hasn't expired yet... -- is blacklisted by Washington as a terror group for its alleged role in a deadly 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate.
Three years after dictator Moamer Qadaffy was toppled and killed in a NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... -backed revolt, Libya is awash with weapons and powerful militias, and run by rival governments and parliaments.
The internationally recognized government has set up base in the remote eastern town of Shahat and large swathes of the North African nation are beyond its control.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The government of the United Arab Emirates formally endorsed on Saturday the designation of 82 organizations, including Egyptâs Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), as terror groups, in line with a federal law on combating terrorism.
The list, published by the countryâs state-run WAM news agency, includes the Muslim Brotherhood, the groupâs local and regional affiliates, as well as Al-Qaeda-linked groups operating in different parts of the region.
Several brigades fighting on both sides in the Syrian conflict along with Islamist groups in Libya, Tunisia, Mali, Pakistan, Nigeriaâs Boko Haram as well as Afghanistan's Taliban account for the bulk of the list.
Shiite militants groups also figure in the list, including Shiite Hezbollah in the Gulf states and brigades with the same name in Iraq. Lebanonâs Iranian backed Hezbollah was not blacklisted.
In late August, UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahayan enacted federal law number 7, which mandated the list to be published and circulated by the media to further âtransparencyâ and âincrease awarenessâ of terrorist threats.
The move follows a similar step taken by Saudi Arabia in March.
The groups blacklisted by the UAE were as follows:
1- UAEâs Muslim Brotherhood called Al-Islah
2- UAE terrorist cells
3- Karama organization
4- Uma Parties in the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula
5- Al-Qaeda Finally got around to it...
6- Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) They prefer to be known as The Islamic State or as The Caliphate...
7- Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) Formerly the aden-Abyan Islamic Army plus the Lions of the Arabian Peninsula
8- Yemenâs Ansar al-Sharia ... which sez they're not an al-Qaeda affiliate, otherwise they're indistinguishable from al-Qaeda.
9- Muslim Brotherhood, both the organization and movement I don't think the Moslem BrĂĽ can properly be called a terrorist organization; it's more a subversive organization. We saw what happened when they achieved power in Egypt: one man, one vote, one time. Their belief that Islam is the Answer, regardless of the question makes them look foolish, but they are Moslems and they behave like Moslems do when they can't get their way.
10- Al-Gamaa Al-Islamiyya in Egypt Zawahiri used to be the head of Gamaa al-Islamiya. I think they swore to non-violence to get their members out of jail.
11- Bait al-Maqdis group in Egypt Formerly just al-Qaeda in the Sinai Peninsula, now sworn to the Islamic State
12- Ajnad Misr (Soldiers of Egypt group) I think we've seen these guys once or maybe twice.
13- Majlis Shura Al-Mujahedin Fi Aknaf Bayt Al-Maqdis (Mujahidin Shura Council in the Environs of Jerusalem, or MSC)
14- Yemenâs Houthi movement Aligned with Iran and with former President-for-Life Saleh.
15- Hezbollah party in Saudi Arabiaâs Hijaz
16- Hezbollah in the Gulf region
17- Al-Qaeda in Iran I believe this is the "protected" al-Qaeda that the Medes and the Persians keep on a tight leash. If I had a bunch of money I'd do some intensive investigation on this group.
18- Badr organization in Iraq
19- Asaâib Ahl al-Haq, also known as the Khazali Network in Iraq
20- Fath al-Islam in Lebanon This is our old friend, Fateh al-Islam. Probably they've been folded into al-Nusra or the Caliphate by now.
21- Osbat Al-Ansar or Asbat an-Ansar (League of the Partisans) in Lebanon I believe Usbat al-Ansar lives in Ein al-Hellhole. They're the place to go when you're on the run. Every once in awhile they shoot one of the local Fatah muckety-mucks.
22- Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) I think AQIM has lost a lot: their debacle in Mali, the ego versus ego contest between Mokhtar versus Droukdel, and the fact that half of them have pledged to the Islamic State.
23- Ansar Al-Sharia in Libya
24- Ansar Al-Sharia in Tunisia
25- Al-Shabab in Somalia
26- Boko Haram in Nigeria
27- Al-Murabitoon brigade in Mali That's Mokhtar Belmokhtar's mob...
28- Ansar Al-Din movement in Mali
29- Haqani network in Pakistan
30- Lashkar Taiba in Pakistan
31- Eastern Turkestan Islamic Movement headquartered in Pakistan
32- Mohammed Army in Pakistan Jaish e-Muhammad...
33- Mohammed Army in India
34- Indian mujahideen in India/Kashmir
35- The Caucasus Emirate by Chechen militants
36- Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU)
37- Abu Sayyaf Islamist group in the Philippines
38- Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Nailed that one. Not a terrorist organization, but fellow travelers.
39- Alleanza Islamic d'Italia or Islamic Alliance in Italy
40- Islamic Association in Finland
41- Islamic Association in Norway
42- Islamic Relief Organization in the UK
43- The Cordoba Foundation in Britain
44- International Islamic Relief Organization belonging to the international Muslim Brotherhood I think that's the one headed by bin Laden's brother-in-law or son-in-law...
45- Taliban movement in Pakistan Mullah Omar...
46- Abu Thur al-Fiqari battalion in Syria
47- Al-Tawheed and Iman battalion in Syria
48- The Green Battalion or Al-Khadraa battalion in Syria
49- Al-Tawhid Brigade in Syria
50- Abu Bakr brigade in Syria
51- Talha bin Ubaidallah in Syria
52- Al-Sarim Al-Batar brigade in Syria
53- Abdullah bin Mubarak brigade in Syria
54- Convoys of Martyrs brigade in Syria
55- Abu Omar brigade in Syria
56- Ahrar Shumar or Free Shumars brigade in Syria
57- Hezbollah brigades in Iraq
58- Brigade of Abu Al-Fadl al-Abbas in Syria
59- Brigades of Al-Yom Al-Mawood (Destined Day in Iraq)
60- Battalion of Omar bin Yasir in Syria
61- Ansar Al-Islam group in Iraq
62- Nusra Front in Syira
63- Harakat Ahrar ash-Sham Al Islami (Islamic Movement of the Free Men of the Levant) in Syria
64- Jaish Al-Islam (Islam Army) in Palestine
65- Abdullah Azzam Brigades I think they're being or have been absorbed by al-Nusra.
66- Kanvaz in Belgrade, Serbia
67- The Muslim American Society (MAS)
68- Union of Muslim Scholars
69- Union of Islamic Organizations in Europe
70- Union of Islamic Organizations of France
71- Muslim Association of Britain (MAB)
72- Islamic Society of Germany
73- Islamic Society in Denmark
74- Islamic Society in Belgium
75- Sariyat Al-Jabal brigade in Syria
76- Al-Shahbaa brigade in Syria
77- Al-QaâQaaâ in Syria
78- Sufian Al-Thawri (Revolutionary Sufian brigade) in Syria
79- Abdulraham brigade in Syria
80- Omar bin Al-Khatab brigade in Syria
81- Al-Shayma brigade in Syria
82- Al-Haq brigade in Syria

Looks like they don't consider any militant groups from Israel "terrorist" - Hamas, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades et al. Also from Philippines Abu Sayyaf is included but not Jemaah Islamiah or Moro Islamic Liberation Front. No non-Islamic groups are indicated - IRA, ETA or FARC etc. They clearly don't like Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda and homegrown groups.
#3
Can one still use the word 'terrorist' in this day and age. Doesn't seem like the 'T' word is used in Washington anymore. If the 'T' word can't even be uttered, what is expected in the way of action against terrorists? U.S. lagging behind the curve with Muzzie countries?

Fred didn't compile the list, the UAE did. (nice knowledgeable grouping by Fred however). My point, UAE is publicly withdrawing support for many militant Islamic groups except those which target Israel.
What's significant, I think, is the fact that so much of terror funding comes through the UAE. I think IS might be more than orthodox Islam can stomach.

Quite a list. Man, I miss the olden days when it was just Axis vs Allies.
[DAWN] Seven suspected Death Eaters were bumped off in what police described as an encounter in Quaidabad on Friday, when a policeman was killed and two others were maimed in attacks elsewhere.
Officials claimed they received information that some Death Eaters had arrived in the locality from Wazoo to commit acts of terrorism in Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... to avenge the killing of their accomplices in the military-led operation back in the tribal areas.
On a tip-off about their presence in Swati Mohalla of Gulshan-e-Buner in Quaidabad, contingents of police encircled the place at around 6pm. In the ensuing shootout, lasting for around an hour, five suspects were killed. Two others, maimed in the shooting, were tossed in the slammer Please don't kill me! but later they also died, said Malir SSP Rao Anwar.

[DAWN] A terrorist attack at the Pakistain-Afghanistan border ...also known as Pashtunistan, home of ignorance, poverty, and automatic weapons... in Arandu, Chitral, left five gunnies and two Afghan security officials dead on Saturday.
Two Pak civilians, including a woman were also maimed, whilst two Pak security forces personnel were maimed.
The five gunnies were killed as Pak and Afghan forces responded to the attack.
Official and security sources close to the border say that the gunnies targeted Afghan cops on a border post in Arandu. An exchange of fire is still continuing along both sides as light and heavy weapons are used.
The Arandu cop shoppe has also been damaged as the clash continues.
Acting District police chief Chitral Muhammad Khalid confirmed that gunnies attacked the Dibar checkpost on the other side of the border but was unable to confirm the casualties except that bullets also landed in the Pak area of Arandu.
He, however, confirmed that two civilians were maimed in the firing which hit the Pak territory.
He was unable to confirm that two security forces personnel were killed but confirmed that bullets hit the Arandu cop shoppe
The border between Pakistain and Afghanistan passes through remote and mountainous terrain making it difficult to police. The length and porousness of the border allows the Taliban and various murderous Moslem groups to easily cross the border without detection at various points.

[Jpost] Islamic State militants fighting in Iraq and Syria claimed in a video posted online on Sunday that they had beheaded American hostage Peter Kassig.
The video did not show the beheading but showed a masked man standing with a decapitated head covered in blood lying at his feet.
Speaking in English in a British accent, the man says: "This is Peter Edward Kassig, a US citizen."
Reuters could not immediately verify the authenticity of the footage, which appeared on a jihadist website and on Twitter feeds used by Islamic State.
The video also shows a number of other people being beheaded.

Ship, the problem with nukes is that they are too indiscriminate. They take out square miles of territory at a time. On the other hand, a B-52 Arclight takes out only a few hundred square yards at a time.
Of course, that assumes that Obama wants to take out ISIS.

Ship, the problem is that ISIS is close to, and in some cases intermingled with innocent people - Christians, Kurds, Yazidis. A nuke takes them all out.
An Arclight, especially on a known ISIS camp, supply convoy, or other concentration, will destroy only the evil ones.

At least 15 people were killed in heavy fighting between the Philippine military and the Abu Sayyaf group in Sulu over the weekend.
Nearly 100 ground troops with helicopter support engaged some 300 Abu Sayyaf militants in Talipao town on Sulu. Six soldiers and nine Abu Sayyaf fighters were killed. The military had 26 wounded while the Abu Sayyaf had three.
Colonel Allan Arrojado said, "This is a major encounter. We are tracking the Abu Sayyaf’s whereabouts and pursuing them."
On Friday, scout rangers backed by attack helicopters engaged the Abu Sayyaf members in a five-hour gun battle. The rebels were led by sub-commanders Radullah Sahiron, Hatib Sawadjaan, Juilie Ekit, and Hairula Asbang.
One of the dead militants was identified as Beting Jakka, brother in law of Sahiron. Jakka's death was confirmed by his wife, according to the military. Another casualty was named as Allih, a student at Mindanao State University.
On Nov. 3 in Basilan, local officials led by ARMM Gov. Mujiv Hataman proclaimed an all-out war on the Abu Sayyaf after the militants ambushed government troops, killing six soldiers.

ISIS may be 7 times larger than Western Intel estimates.
The Islamic State (Isis) has recruited an army hundreds of thousands strong, far larger than previous estimates by the CIA, according to a senior Kurdish leader. He said the ability of Isis to attack on many widely separated fronts in Iraq and Syria at the same time shows that the number of militant fighters is at least 200,000, seven or eight times bigger than foreign in intelligence estimates of up to 31,500 men.
Fuad Hussein, the chief of staff of the Kurdish President Massoud Barzani said in an exclusive interview with The Independent on Sunday that "I am talking about hundreds of thousands of fighters because they are able to mobilise Arab young men in the territory they have taken."
He estimates that Isis rules a third of Iraq and a third of Syria with a population of between 10 and 12 million living in an area of 250,000 square kilometres, the same size as Great Britain. This gives the jihadis a large pool of potential recruits.
