Islamic State claims it has beheaded US hostage Kassig
2014-11-16
[Jpost] Islamic State militants fighting in Iraq and Syria claimed in a video posted online on Sunday that they had beheaded American hostage Peter Kassig.

The video did not show the beheading but showed a masked man standing with a decapitated head covered in blood lying at his feet.

Speaking in English in a British accent, the man says: "This is Peter Edward Kassig, a US citizen."

Reuters could not immediately verify the authenticity of the footage, which appeared on a jihadist website and on Twitter feeds used by Islamic State.

The video also shows a number of other people being beheaded.

#13  Nation States have a place here. Islamic Nation States will fail to exist if they let this run it's course.

What a NASTY religion that is. Anyone who tells you otherwise is full of shit.

#12  So, the ISIS/ISIL kills yet another US Citizen while also once again expressing its desire or ambition to attack-n-kill Americans in Amerika.

And the Bammer is still watching from the sidelines.

#11  Just point General Mattis toward the bad guys and tell him "Kill boy, kill" - and the back out of the way. Problem (soon) solved.

#10  #4 Ship, the problem with nukes is that they are too indiscriminate.

That's a feature, not a bug.

#9  Sometimes the weeds are so bad you have to spray the entire garden with Round-Up and dig it up. At least the innocents they're using as shields would be the last they could torment.

#8  God prefers that, too, Ram. That's why He put us here. Pull the weeds, keep His garden clean.

#7  Ship, the problem is that ISIS is close to, and in some cases intermingled with innocent people - Christians, Kurds, Yazidis. A nuke takes them all out.

An Arclight, especially on a known ISIS camp, supply convoy, or other concentration, will destroy only the evil ones.

Yeah, yeah. I know "God knows His own. Let Him sort them out". I would prefer that we did the initial sorting.

#6  That didn't help Rambler, especially the part about square miles. Help me.

#4  Ship, the problem with nukes is that they are too indiscriminate. They take out square miles of territory at a time. On the other hand, a B-52 Arclight takes out only a few hundred square yards at a time.

Of course, that assumes that Obama wants to take out ISIS.

#3  We have somewhere on the order of 1200 ICBMs which are composed of a mix of. Minuteman 3 and Trident C-4 and D-5. They are paid for. I grow tired of these ticks. Talk me down.

#2  Peter Kassig converted to Islam during captivity. Question: So how did worshiping the same god work as the cut throats work out?
Answer: It didn't.

#1  Kassig was a convert to Islam. The 'religion of peace and love' version of Islam. He went to Syria to provide aid. The other/real Islam takes him.
