[MAIL] Florida authorities said a man was fatally shot after he charged at a deputy with a sword yelling, 'Shoot me!'
Michael Kifer, 29, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Saturday following a Friday night confrontation with deputies and the SWAT team from the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.
Police said in a statement on Facebook that deputies were called to a home in Vero Beach to 'address' Kifer, who was said to have been 'intoxicated and/or under the influence of drugs.'
On their way to the scene officers said they learned that Kifer had a knife and was making phone threats involving harming another person.
Upon their arrival, Kifer was said to have run from the home on foot, before returning with a 'small hatchet.' Deputies then chased him, at which point he ran back inside the home, which was otherwise empty.
When Kifer failed to respond to officers' attempts at contacting him, the SWAT and Crisis Negotiations Team (CNT) were called to the scene.
Officers entered the home through the front door, while the SWAT team breached Kifer's bedroom window where Kifer was holed up and holding a foot-long sword.
Police said Kifer shouted 'Shoot me!' and swore at deputies, before SWAT fired four beanbag rounds at him.
The rounds were said to have had no impact on Kifer, who continued to roam around the house with the sword, shouting at deputies.
[NYPOST] A 15-year-old boy was hit with an attempted murder charge for shooting a 7-year-old girl in the neck and chest while she was trick-or-treating on Halloween in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... , a report said Friday.
The teen gunman, who was not identified, was also charged with two counts of aggravated battery for the shooting on city’s west side, the Chicago Tribune reported.
He allegedly shot up about 5:30 p.m. on Thursday while aiming at a 32-year-old man, according to the report.
The 32-year-old was shot in his hand, the Tribune reported. The 7-year-old girl, who was standing nearby, wearing a bumblebee costume for Halloween, was hit in the lower neck and chest and rushed to a local hospital at death's door.
The gunman was aiming for the 32-year-old man because he believed him to be in a rival gang, the Tribune reported.

I was always concerned that Rudy and Richard Hatch would go spear fishing and there would be some sort of tragic accident. Rudy showed great restraint.
[Gun & Garden] The summer before senior year of high school is often viewed as the last opportunity for childish shenanigans and outrageous adventures before the "real world" begins. Andrew Dowdell and Brian Lutton, two seventeen-year-old seniors at the Out-of-Door Academy in Sarasota, Florida, decided to use their last taste of freedom for a cross-country drive. A typical road trip, though, would’ve been too easy. The boys wanted to flex their automotive savvy‐they had been tinkering with cars since they each got their learner’s license, and their school’s robust engineering program helped hone that hobby into a skill. So this past May, they sprang for a 1985 Mercedes they found on Craigslist and made plans to drive it all the way to New York by running it solely on used cooking grease.

Right after pushing GM into a settlement they can't afford...interesting timing....
[SPUTNIKNEWS] Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, declared a state-wide state of emergency this week as wildfires continue to consume tens of thousands of acres of land, damaging hundreds of structures and leading to the evacuation of thousands of people across the state.
Nighttime operating water-dropping helicopters operating in Ventura County, southern California were forced to halt their operations for nearly two hours on Friday morning due to the presence of unauthorized, privately operated drones flying over the 10,000 acre Maria blaze, the Los Angeles Times has reported.
Emergency services are concerned that the illegal drone operations could collide with firefighting helicopters, causing serious damage.
According to the LA Times, a Ventura Fire Department chopper pilot radioed in at 3:19 am on Friday that a drone was spotted operating over the fire, prompting a 45 minute halt to local air operations. At 4:05 am, another drone was spotted, with two more choppers grounded for another hour to make sure the coast was clear. Time is of the essence in battling the Maria blaze, which was only 20 percent contained as of Saturday morning, and which has already led to the evacuation of nearly 11,000 people since starting on Thursday.
Later in the day, Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub issued an appeal to drone operators, urging them not to fly their equipment near wildfires. "I encourage in the strongest terms anyone interested in doing that to not do so," he said, speaking to news hounds.

[NYPOST] Five people were killed this week by a rampaging elephant that terrified villagers have dubbed "Laden" after the murderous terror leader the late Osama bin Laden ...... who is now among the dear departed, though not among the dearest...... , according to reports.
The victims were trampled to death and villager Rajen Rabha said it happened Tuesday night in Assam state, Agence La Belle France-Presse reported.
"But that was not all. In the past Laden has also attacked our villages and killed people and destroyed our paddy fields," Rabha told the news outlet.
Assam Forest Minister Par Parimal Shuklabaidya said a committee that includes wildlife experts would decide what to do once the elephant is found.
"There are suggestions that we should tranquilize the animal and take it to forest where there is no human habitation nearby," Shuklabaidya said, according to AFP.
The rogue elephant was spotted Thursday with a drone in the Kankata Reserve, Northeast Now reports.
"We have located and identified Laden in the reserve, which is about [10 miles] from Tuesday’s incident site," a senior officer was quoted as saying. "The jumbo was visible for once or twice and then it went inside the jungle."
Tuesday’s deaths have Matia villagers passing sleepless nights, according to the news outlet.
"We will be able to sleep peacefully only after the killer jumbo is captured," villager Kohinoor Hussain said.

Oh dear ! Why ? Poor animal. After his home was encroached by hyoomans, his trees and groves taken by babus and parceled out to developers.
It's the same angst shown by any tribal when he/she takes to commie antics. In his case, it's a 2 tonne angst running at 40km/h. And they already named him a terrorist. Exactly what they do to rebels against the system.

[BBC] - Drive around the streets of Kuwait and you won't see these women. They are behind closed doors, deprived of their basic rights, unable to leave and at risk of being sold to the highest bidder.
But pick up a smartphone and you can scroll through thousands of their pictures, categorised by race, and available to buy for a few thousand dollars.
An undercover investigation by BBC News Arabic has found that domestic workers are being illegally bought and sold online in a booming black market.
Some of the trade has been carried out on Facebook-owned Instagram, where posts have been promoted via algorithm-boosted hashtags, and sales negotiated via private messages.

I know. Some of them are Indians. We bought 14k Dinar worth of women on the darknet from there last year. And repatriated them to their home states.
There's a whole industry in leftist Bengal, Nepal, etc that arranges for mass transit disguised as placement, NGO work, education, marriage.

Chinese officials were in league with the 'businessmen' populating their stock with Pakistani girls. They have Epstein equivalents in Guangdong and Shanghai. But the airports wouldn't allow muslim girls in. They struck a deal with local churches and temples to provide religion certificates for them.
Then local traffickers preferred to abduct or lure christian girls and sell them to visiting Chink prospectors. It was blown open recently by a catholic girl escaping complaining, but not before she was trafficked through her pastor. There was no comment from Vatican.

The western world has been unique to ban slavery. The west forgets it has been common all through history and is still common outside western cultures.
Thousands rallied in Glasgow on Saturday calling for Scotland to become an independent country, with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon telling the crowds that their goal was "within touching distance".
The Scottish National Party (SNP) leader was the headline speaker at the event in George Square, the first time she has addressed an independence rally since the 2014 referendum campaign, with a crucial general election looming next month.
"Make no mistake, the general election we face now on December 12 is the most important election for Scotland in our lifetimes," she told the crowds.
"The future of our country is on the line.
"We must come out in our numbers and vote in this election," she added, insisting that the "prize" of independence was "within touching distance."

Now Sark rins over Solway sands,
An' Tweed rins to the ocean,
To mark where England's province stands-
Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!
What force or guile could not subdue,
Thro' many warlike ages,
Is wrought now by a coward few,
For hireling traitor's wages.
The English stell we could disdain,
Secure in valour's station;
But English gold has been our bane-
Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!
O would, or I had seen the day
That Treason thus could sell us,
My auld grey head had lien in clay,
Wi' Bruce and loyal Wallace!
But pith and power, till my last hour,
I'll mak this declaration;
We're bought and sold for English gold-
Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!

Almost all of the "Highlanders" left long ago when the tenants were evicted to make way for sheep, right? These people are the "Lowlanders" who lived in cities on the borders with England -- a rather different lot. It does seem unwise that they want to change their allegiance from England, where they have seats in Parliament, to the EU where they are just one of the ruled territories, no more important than Malta or Bosnia...

What Lex misses is the utter fear of the left of fire arms that aren't in the hands of the accepted and approved class.
They only want them in the hands of the brown shirts.
Weapons in the hands of the Plebs scares the hell out of them. Which is what the founding fathers wanted.
[SPUTNIKNEWS] Anti-government protesters vandalised the Hong Kong office of Chinese news agency Xinhua as unrest goes into its 22nd consecutive weekend, media reported Saturday.
Pictures of the aftermath show smashed front windows and graffiti sprayed over walls in the latest attack on companies viewed as close to the Beijing government.
The attack came as renewed violence flared up in the centre of Hong Kong, with security forces using tear gas and protesters employing petrol bombs, according to the South China Morning Post newspaper.
The unrest resumed Saturday despite a carpet ban on meetings and demonstrations by the Hong Kong government, as well as a prohibition on wearing face masks. Protesters attempted to bypass the ban by holding an "election meeting" with political candidates, an assembly the organizers maintained was legal even without an official permit. However, Switzerland makes more than cheese... riot police intercepted the gathering at Victoria Park and Causeway Bay which led to the violent standoff.
[Al Jazeera] The eastern German city of Dresden has declared a "Nazi emergency" as officials warned of a rise in far-right support and violence.
The city is the birthplace of the Islamophobic Pegida movement, which holds weekly rallies here, while the anti-immigration Alternative fuer Deutschland (AfD) party won 28 percent of the votes in the regional elections in September.
Dresden's city council backed a resolution against far-right ideas with the title "Nazinotstand?", or "Nazi emergency?".
It was brought by Max Aschenbach, a local councillor for left-leaning satirical party Die Partei, who told DPA news agency that "this city has a Nazi problem".
The resolution said the city was "worried that anti-democratic, anti-pluralist, discriminatory and far-right positions which include violence" were on the rise in Dresden.
[NYPOST] Czech scientists have opened a lab to experiment growing food for environments with extreme conditions and lack of water, such as Mars.
The "Marsonaut" experiment by scientist Jan Lukacevic, 29 and his team at the Prague University of Life Sciences is based on aeroponics ‐ growing plants in the air, without soil and limiting water use to a minimum.
The plants grow horizontally from a vertical unit and are stacked one above the other to minimize space. Researchers experiment with light and temperature changes, Lukacevic said.
The team has already succeeded in growing mustard plants, salad leaves, radishes and herbs like basil and mint.
Scientists ate their first harvest last week.
"They taste wonderful because they grow in a controlled environment and we supply them with bespoke nutrients," said Lukacevic.
Strawberries are the next crop planned.
The main benefit of the growing method is that it uses 95 percent less water than normal plant cultivation and also saves space, which could boost agricultural yields in areas hit by urbanization and climate change.
Proof of concept complete. Now to see which of the vast variety of herbs, fruits and vegetables available on Earth will work best out in the wilds of outer space.
[TheGuardian] Purges, which come after royal consort was stripped of her titles, offer rare glimpse into the palace
Thailand’s king has sacked four royal guards, two of them for "adultery", in a fresh wave of palace purges a week after his royal consort was stripped of all titles for "disloyalty".
Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn, 67, ordered the dismissal of two male guards from the "bedroom section", the Royal Gazette announced late on Tuesday.
"They have committed inappropriate acts and adultery," the statement said. "Oh shit ! Korn's found our condom wrappers under the bedding ! Let's git to Argentina !"
The other two officers failed to meet the standards of the royal guard and were dismissed without compensation, according to the gazette.
Thailand’s royal family is protected by a defamation law that makes scrutiny of its actions all but impossible within the kingdom.
But the purges have offered a rare glimpse into the powerful palace, one of the wealthiest monarchies in the world.
The latest move comes after 34-year-old royal consort Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi was deprived of all royal titles three months after being appointed to the role for the first time in nearly a century.
She was accused of disloyalty and "acting against the appointment" of Queen Suthida. Vajiralongkorn married Suthida, his fourth wife, earlier this year. Seems like either there's orgies of opportunity going on in there, or the king's going paranoid as his vigor wanes.
The former consort Sineenat has not been seen in public since her dismissal.
After her fall from grace six other palace officials were sacked for committing "evil actions".
Vajiralongkorn ascended the throne in 2016 following the death of his beloved father and was crowned in an elaborate coronation ceremony in May. Clearly not half the man his daddy was as you can see below.
