Korean Lawmakers Seek Physical Castration of Sex Offenders
I know, I know, red meat for the citizens of the Burg, but gawd am I tired of politicians...
Lawmaker Park In-suk of the ruling Saenuri Party on Wednesday proposed a bill authorizing physical castration of habitual sex offenders who are highly likely to reoffend.

The bill was signed by 19 lawmakers from the Saenuri and main opposition Democratic United parties.

It would allow courts to order the operation at the request of public prosecutor, for habitual sex offenders who are deemed to have no chance of rehabilitation and a high likelihood of recidivism.

Ark. lawmaker pleads guilty to election charge
[Fox 16] A Democratic state politician from east Arkansas, his father and two campaign workers pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiracy to commit election fraud after federal prosecutors said the politician's campaign bribed absentee voters and destroyed ballots in a special election last year.
But wait! That never happens! They told us that doesn't happen!... Oh. Wait. No they didn't. They just said it doesn't represent a problem... I think I understand now....
Prosecutors said Democratic Rep. Hudson Hallum of Marion, Kent Hallum, Phillip Wayne Carter and Sam Malone acknowledged that they participated in a conspiracy to bribe voters to influence absentee votes in the Arkansas District 54 primary, runoff and general elections in 2011. The four were released pending a sentencing hearing.

"In a nation in which every person's vote matters, protecting the integrity of the electoral process from those who seek to win office by cheating the system is critical," Assistant U.S. Attorney Jane Duke said in a statement released by her office. "Voter fraud schemes such as that carried out in the 2011 District 54 race have the devastating effect of eroding public confidence in elected officials and disenfranchising voters."

A Democratic Party spokeswoman said Hallum indicated he would step down from his seat, but Gov. Mike Beebe had not received a formal resignation by Wednesday afternoon.

Hallum didn't respond to phone messages from The News Agency that Dare Not be Named seeking comment, and House Speaker Robert Moore said he has not heard from the politician. But in an email sent to other Democratic politicians, Hallum apologized for his actions.

"I took some bad advice that led to some bad decisions on my part. I am going to stand up and accept full responsibility for my actions," Hallum wrote. "I am truly sorry because I know this news will have an effect on everyone's upcoming race."

Feds Seek Prison Time For Obama "Hope" Artist
Federal prosecutors want Shepard Fairey, the artist who created the Barack Obama
How's it going, Sunshine?...
"Hope" poster, to serve time in prison following his misdemeanor conviction for destroying and fabricating documents in connection with a civil lawsuit over the iconic campaign image.

In advance of Friday's scheduled sentencing of Fairey in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, the Department of Justice has filed a memorandum arguing that a prison term for the 42-year-old artist would be "appropriate."

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
prosecutors did not specify how long Fairey should be incarcerated (though, statutorily, his punishment would not exceed six months). Additionally, government lawyers have contended that Judge Frank Maas could fine Fairey up to $3.2 million.

Suppressing the Military vote
Estimates say that the number of troops who will end up voting in the November could be down by more than a third.

"We could see an election where turnout is down 25 or 35 percent," predicts Eric Eversole, executive director of the Military Voter Protection Project, which brands this year’s predicted military voter participation levels as "bleak."

In the crucial swing state of Ohio, the group’s report found that only 3.3 percent of the eligible military voters have requested ballots as of Aug. 21.

North Carolina had even less, just 1.7 percent, Virginia a scant 1.4 percent. And the key state of Florida reported a rate of 15.7 percent.

"What could happen is that we once again could face an election, as we have had in past years, that our men and women in uniform aren't able to have their voices heard on election day, and it’s too bad," Eversole laments. He calls for a greater effort to get the military vote out.

"Our service members have so much on the line. They are not only overseas fighting for our rights but in some ways fighting for their own rights," he said.

Eversole says in the 2010 election there were "widespread failures" in getting absentee ballots into the hands of deployed troops, citing 14 states that had at least one county that did not distribute the ballots on time.

WHite House - Important "not to read too much" into one monthly jobs report
If this was a positive, they'd be crowing it. Drudge is ripping them a new one, and most other media outlets are grudgingly following, albeit with half-hearted spin. Nice timing, Zero
The unemployment rate fell from 8.3 to 8.1 percent, only because 368,000 people gave up looking for a job.

Employers only added 96,000 jobs last month, despite analysts predicting some 125,000.

The government also said Friday that 41,000 fewer jobs were created in July and June than first estimated. The economy has added just 139,000 jobs a month since the start of the year, below 2011Œs average of 153,000.

Fridayfs report was discouraging throughout. Hourly pay fell, manufacturers cut the most jobs in two years and the number of people in the work force dropped to its lowest level in 31 years

#2  Of course, Krueger said the same thing last month. And the month before. And the month before. Noticing the depressing repetitiveness of the White House’s analysis, the Romney campaign last month dug through old reports and put together a list of 30 examples, going back to November, 2009, in which the administration warned Americans not to “read too much into” discouraging jobs numbers. Now, there are 31.

#3  So basically they tweeked the numbers as much as they can but couldn't make them look good. So we can expect a reevaulation of the numbers in a couple of weeks that shows the actual bad numbers so the news can be buried on page 13 of the papers and ignored entirely by the digitial liberals.

Clinton believes in Obama 'with all my heart'
[Daily Nation (Kenya)] Bill Clinton told Americans on Thursday (Kenyan time) he believed "with all my heart" that President Barack Obama
I inhaled. That was the point...
saved the economy, had left them better off than four years ago and should be re-elected.
"It depends on what the meaning of 'saved the economy' is..."
The two-term Democratic president, who remains highly popular nearly 12 years after leaving office, delivered a comprehensive, unequivocal and glowing endorsement of Obama's presidency and hammered rival Republicans.
People remember him fondly because of his roguish ways. Now that it's all behind us we can laugh. Or at least snicker.
"No president, no president -- not me or any of my predecessors, no one could have fully repaired all the damage he found in just four years," said Clinton, in a prime-time speech at the Democratic National Convention.
"Unless it was Ronald Reagan, who repaired almost as much damage in a single term..."
"He has laid the foundations for a new modern successful economy of shared prosperity and if you ever need the president's contract: You will feel it. You will feel it folks," said Clinton, apparently fighting a sore throat.
"Step right up, ladies and gennelmen, for your dose of 'a new modern successful economy of shared prosperity.' Doctor Obama's Magick Elixir! Only $16 trillion!"
"Folks, whether the American people believe what I said or not may be the whole election, I just want you to know that I believe it," Clinton said, his voice faltering slightly, "with all my heart I believe it."
"Of course, it all depends on the meaning of 'believe.'"

Anti-Christian Hate Speech Spews From The Palm Beach Dem Chair
[The Blaze.com] Mark Alan Siegel, the Palm Beach County Democrat Chairman spoke with Scottie Hughes of Patriot TV and made some rather pointed and anti-Christian statements. Mr. Siegel was wearing a "Jews for Obama" pin. Ms. Hughes spotted the pin and asked the chairman about his support for Obama despite the administration's record with Israel.

Here are a couple of the offensive comments made by the Palm Beach Democratic Chairman:
"I'm Jewish, I'm not a fan of any other religion than Judaism."

"The worst possible allies for the Jewish state are the fundamentalist Christians who want Jews to die and convert so they can bring on the second coming of their Lord."

DNC Delegates: Let's Ban Corporate Profits!
Are you surprised?

At the Democratic National Convention, where one speaker after the next swears they love free enterprise, delegates and attendees (maybe some media, who knows?) were asked by Peter Schiff, posing as a anti-corporate activist, if they would support capping or banning corporate profit.

Well, there seems to be plenty of enthusiasm for the idea in Charlotte this week -- and not from the fringe. "We deliberately avoided speaking with the occupy protestors camping outside in tents to get a more "mainstream" Democratic perspective," writes Schiff.

#6  DNC Delgates: Let's Ban Steal Corporate Profits!

There, fixed.

Corporations are people. Stock holders of a corporation are everyday people who have the opportunity to control the corporation through voting on Directors, who then select officers such as the CEO, etc., who are the best and brightest at a product or service provided by that corporation.

(This might be way to complicated for the typical smelly uneducated third world Occupy type.)

The everyday people insure that the Directors are creating and reinvesting into products and services that survive fierce open market competition, competition that secure jobs for --- everyday people --- and profits pay that pay dividends to everyday people stock holders, profits for reinvestment in more advanced products and service that will the next wave of innovative products and services, making life even more easier and fun. Plus supposedly enough taxes for the roads, sewer and garbage collection by the government (bureacrats hate thier job!).

Deadbeat, dumb*ss bureacrats, unwashed OWS types and sleezy politicians, keep your hands off captialism. That is NOT a request. That is a warning.

#7  Stock holders of a corporation are everyday people..

Well a lot of mutual funds which are the foundation of a lot of pensions for old people. You know the type portrayed by the same clueless tools as having to eat dog food because of their meager income. Given that the Treasury is offering near zero percent on bonds, the mutual funds are about the only source to generate a return for those investments by elderly Americans. With that kind of declaration, the elderly won't even have dog food. The tool's response would probably be 'let them eat cat food!'

#12  Democrats all the way from Obama down to his economically challenged groupies at the bottom of the liberal food chain, appear endowed with no propensity for grasping even the most basic business or econonic principles.

The left is just stunningly ignorant when it comes to fiscal and economic matters. With just one look at the fawning faces of the Obama groupies, it becomes painfully clear that they have bought completely into the socialist myth. They believe that dragging the shining stars of our economy down into the gutter level of the OWS losers would somehow raise our standard of living. They offer no plan to prevent the dire consequences of our entire economy going off the fiscal cliff.

Even though I myself often enjoy poking fun at their ineptitude, the sadly serious state of our economy mandates of each and every one of us, that we cannot afford to allow them to continue to have their way in the upcomming election.

Putin Weighs In On 'Genuine' Obama, 'Mistaken' Romney
[Wall Street Journal] Russian President Vladimir Putin
...Second President of the Russian Federation and the first to remain sober. Because of constitutionally mandated term limits he is the current Prime Minister of Russia. His sock puppet, Dmitry Medvedev, was installed in the 2008 presidential elections. Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law. During his eight years in office Russia's economy bounced back from crisis, seeing GDP increase, poverty decrease and average monthly salaries increase. During his presidency Putin passed into law a series of fundamental reforms, including a flat income tax of 13%, a reduced profits tax, and new land and legal codes. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to Putin. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile...

He is the son of the former governor of Michigan, George Romney, who himself ran for president after saving American Motors from failure, though not permanently. More to the point, he isn't President B.O...
, calling the Republican candidate's tough stance on Russia "pre-election rhetoric."

In contrast to what had been viewed as a chilly attitude toward Mr. Obama, Mr. Putin called his U.S. counterpart "a genuine person" who "really wants to change much for the better." Speaking to Russia's RT television channel, he said a second term for Mr. Obama could help solve disputes over missile defense.

#4  "Wouldn't he rather deal with somebody sane?" A KGB man is gifted with a mush brained Marxist in the White House.

#6  Grunter, I'm pretty sure where are FSB analysts who wake up in the middle of the night in cold sweat because of the thought of somebody like Obama* in control of USA nuclear arsenal.

*After all they're very familiar with the type---KGB worked with dozens of third world "Marxist" dictators over the years.
