It was not immediately clear if the terrorist killed was the senior Al Shabaab leader or another member of the militant group, which is based out of Somalia.
Asked for clarity about the identity of the terrorist killed, an AFRICOM spokesman said "He was a member of Al Shabaab ‐ we are not able to release any additional information at this time."

Three people were shot overnight in Kenosha, Wisc., after violence erupted during the third straight night of rioting and looting in response to the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Two of those shot have died, according to the City of Kenosha Police Department, and a third was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
...Earlier in the day police had ordered an 8 p.m. curfew.
Shots could be heard ringing out shortly after midnight local time.
Drew Hernandez captured the video of the aftermath of the shooting.

I watched the riots live on a YouTube stream last night. The rioters had the entire law enforcement prrsonel and as many as 6 bear cats occupied at the courthouse trying to protect it from a large mob intent on looting and burning the facility. The videographer said he went the mob and learned that 80% of them were from out of town.
This was to tie up the police and national guard so that the more violent elements could be free to burn other pre-determined business targets in the town, as you can hear other rioters converging on those targets saying we are headed over to this location now.
This means the only local defensive elements left to guard the targets were individual citizens about to be swarmed.
This is a highly, well coordinated domestic, violent, militant effort.
Who is in charge of these mobs on the national level?

Traditionally law enforcement in America has relied on mostly honest populace who trust the system to usually deliver justice for everyone. That paradigm is rapidly breaking down. As it does, there won’t be enough cops to keep the lid on and self defense and vigilantes will become more the norm. Political expediency increasingly overrides the truth. It took 90 days but the coroner ruled George Floyd had fatal level of fentanyl poisoning so the death by asphyxiation should change the charges significantly. Odds on that being reported on CNN?

[KTTH] Seattle rioters used a substance suspected to be quick-dry concrete to seal shut the door to the East Precinct, the Seattle Police Department has confirmed. At the same time, the rioter attempted to set fire to the building. Photos reviewed by the Jason Rantz Show show the concrete mix and tools used.
Now, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is working with the Seattle Police Department on this investigation.
Rioters assaulted Seattle’s East Precinct on Monday night. This marked another night of violent, criminal activism against police officers unconnected to anger over a recent police shooting in Wisconsin.
CRIMINALS TRIED TO MURDER SEATTLE POLICE
As some in the crowd vandalized the building and tormented police, others brought quick dry cement to seal police officers inside the building.
The criminals at the 12th street entrance reportedly mixed what is suspected to be cement mix and water in a bucket with a wooden stick before applying it to the door. Photos show the criminals also destroyed the electronic key card off the door, presumably to stop people from getting inside the building.
On the East Pine Street side of the East Precinct, the criminals started a fire. The intent appeared to be to burn the building with the officers inside.
A source tells me the officers inside had to kick the door open to exit the building and disperse the rioters. Luckily, already lacking discernible skills, the rioters did not follow directions and may have used too much water in the cement mixture. Photos indicate it too runny to fully seal the doorway shut.
One officer was injured and one suspect was arrested.
POLICE UNION WEIGHS IN AGAINST ‘DOMESTIC TERRORISTS’
Seattle Police Officers Guild president Mike Solan is condemning the crime, along with the lack of response from city leaders.
“It’s clear that domestic terrorists are continuing to hold our great city hostage by their criminal acts,” Solan tells the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH. “We’re talking about a little over 100 people who continue to force their political agenda to push assaults on officers, destroy private and public property, to continue their dangerous ideology. What’s next has been seen before and I’m fearful that someone will lose their life in the coming days. This could all stop if our public officials would decry and push back against these criminal acts.”

Back in the day I was ordered not to fire warning shots. You can't always tell were a warning shot will land. Put two into center mass and if that didn't stop the "target" put two in the head. YMMV

My father had a great warning shot technique. He was as accurate as a sniper with a rifle and as a warning shot he targeted something next to the trouble maker. When the warning shot decimated the object next to the trouble maker it had a massive phsycological impact on the trouble maker.

Witnesses to Jacob Blake's shooting have said that police used a Taser and wrestled with him prior to the shooting (and prior to the video being streamed 24/7).
But that apparently doesn't matter.

My understanding is that it started with service of a felony warrant. The cops had knowledge of his priors including violence and some kind of weapons charge. They had every right to suspect after he resisted arrest that he might be seeking a weapon in the car. We don't know if there was a weapon there, but if there was reasonable suspicion in the arresting officers mind, lethal force before being shot is a legitimate reaction. It sounds like the officers followed the traditional escalation of force doctrine to the letter in attempting to effect the arrest. Maybe someone in authority should lay that doctrine and the events that occurred out for the media so they get the justification clearly before they go all BLM again.

Pop Corn was one Bad Dude. Prosecutors in Kenosha County, Wisconsin charged Blake, 29, with third-degree sexual assault, trespassing and disorderly conduct in connection with domestic abuse last month, according to The Kenosha News. An arrest warrant for Blake was issued on July 6.
The newspaper reported that a woman living in the 2800 block of 40th Street told police in May that Blake, her ex-boyfriend, had come into her home and taken her car keys and vehicle. She also said he had touched her sexually without consent.
... Raysean White, the man who filmed the video, said he saw police officers wrestle, punch and user a Taser on Blake moments before he started recording.
"After they punched him in his rib, the female officer Tased him and Jacob kind of leaned on the car and they proceeded to wrestle him toward the back of the car and he went to the other side of the car," he told CNN. "When they were on the other side of the car on the ground, I had to pick up my camera and start recording."
White told the Associated Press that he heard officers shout "Drop the knife! Drop the knife!" before they shot Blake, but said he didn't see one in his hands.
